Chapter Four:

Zephyr swiftly avoided getting a hard kick to his side. He laughed and continued running away from Eric. He turned around and saw that Eric was still chasing after him, wearing a murderous look on his face. He found it very cute. If he said that out loud to Eric, he knew for sure that the man would kill him. Zephyr stopped and grinned at Eric as the man ran up to him.

Eric grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt and brought his face up towards him. “You bastard! If you ever try taking advantage of me again I will bury you alive! Understood?” he yelled into the man’s face.

“I don't know what you’re yelling about,” replied Zephyr with a bewildered look. He wished that he could understand what the beautiful Eric was yelling at him about. If he had to take a guess, he would say that it was a warning from the beautiful Eric.

“This sucks,” Eric voiced out loud as he let go of the man’s collar. “This whole thing sucks. Why did I have to be here? Out of all the places in the goddamn world, why did I end up here?” Eric felt like pulling out his hair. What good was his threat if the man he was threatening couldn’t even understand a word? he thought before walking away from Zephyr, frustrated at his situation.

Eric found himself seated right across from Zephyr at the long dinner table that night. It was only the two of them but he was too hungry to care at the moment. He ate everything before him and drank a delicious wine from a big jug. He wiped his mouth clean with a napkin and looked up to see Zephyr grinning at him like an idiot.

Alana walked into the dinning room to see her lord wearing a smile on his face, and Eric glaring dagger eyes at her lord. She chuckled and went to sit between them. Eric turned to her right away. “Tell your lord to stop staring at me, or I will punch that smile off his face,” said Eric.

Alana repeated everything Eric said to her lord Zephyr.

“Tell Eric that he is welcome to punch my face anytime, but I won't stop looking at him. He simply is just too beautiful with that beauty mark right below his lips,” said Zephyr.

Alana let out a sigh before repeating everything her lord said to Eric. Just as she feared, Eric jumped out of his chair and marched toward her lord. Still grinning, Zephyr remained seated in his chair when Eric stopped in front of him to throw a punch. His hand went up and caught Eric’s elbow before Eric could lay a punch on him. Zephyr pulled Eric down towards him and stole another kiss from Eric for the second time that day.

A very angry Eric tore himself away from Zephyr. He waited until his heart stopped racing before he raised his foot up and gave the man a hard kick right in the face, sending Zephyr backwards off his chair. He stood over the man and glared down at him. “Let me tell you this! I am not like all those weak life carriers who just sit at home waiting to be bred like animals. If you dare to harass me again I will kill you!” he spat and turned to walk away from the scene.

Alana chuckled and went over to see how her lord was faring after getting a kick in the face. “What did he just say?” she heard her lord ask. She repeated every word Eric had said to her lord once more. Seeing her lord’s wide open eyes, she let out a laugh. “Now that you know that Eric is like us women, what are you going to do my lord? Eric isn't easy to win over. The man has a strong mind of his own,” she commented.

Zephyr got back up on his feet and smiled, “Eric being able to have a baby is a plus. You know me Alana, I don't give up easily. I really did fall in love with him at first sight when he fell into my arms from the sky. I knew right away that he was sent down to be my life partner. Why else out of all the places in our world did he fall right into my arms?” Zephyr commented. He licked the blood off his lips. “Plus there is another reason why I want him Alana,” he added.

“The key?” said Alana.

Zephyr nodded, “That's right Alana. Your sister said that Eric has the key, right?”

Alana nodded her head. “My lord, you are a bit too greedy. You can't have your cake and eat it too!”

Zephyr didn't bother to respond to that remark, he left the dining room instead. Eric slammed the door shut and strode over to the bed. He kicked his shoes off and lay down on his stomach in the bed, his arms crossed underneath his chin. He hated life givers. They were all assholes. Just because they were stronger and manlier, they thought that they had the right to treat the life carriers like shit.

Eric remembered that one incident when he was sixteen. He was on his way home when those asshole life givers tried to take him, thinking that he would give in to their strength and start moaning like an animal in heat. They didn't see it coming. They weren't expecting a weak life carrier like him to fight back. He smiled, remembering how he beat them up good and stomped down hard repeatedly on their crotch sending them to the hospital. He was put in detention for it and isolated from the rest of the world for one month. When he came out, his dad slapped him and his father yelled at him, telling him that he should just have let the life givers do what they want. He was a life carrier and it was his duty to carry the seed of a life giver. He remembered telling his father to fuck off.

Eric quickly shook the bad memories away, not wanting to remember more. Suddenly Zephyr entered his thoughts. His finger touched his lips, his mind recalling the kiss. He quickly shook that thought away also. He let out a curse at himself for remembering something like that. He shut his eyes and waited for sleep to claim him. A knock came on his door. “Come in!” he called out before opening his eyes.

Alana walked in and motioned for the servants behind her to carry the big tub inside. One by one they all filled it with water.

“What are they doing?” Eric asked with curiosity.

“I thought that you would like a bath Eric,” said Alana.

“I would prefer a shower but a bath is fine thank you,” said Eric.

“No need for that rubbish. This is all that I could do. Tomorrow I will take you to see my sister.”

"Why do I need to see her?" asked Eric.

"Because she is the only one here who knows the reason why you came here. My sister is probably the only one who can help you to return to your world," said Alana.

“If that's the case then I look forward to meeting her tomorrow.”

"She’s looking forward to seeing you too Eric," said Alana. "The servants will be here in two hours to carry the tub away,” she added and left the chamber.

Eric removed his clothes and climbed into the bath. It was nice and hot just the way he liked it. He shut his eyes and relaxed into it. He heard the sound of the door opening. His eyes slowly opened to see who it was. He was not surprised to find Zephyr leaning up against the side of the door with his arms crossed in front and watching him. He wanted to yell a bunch of obscene words at the man, but he knew that it was pointless and just a waste of his breath to do so when the damn man couldn't even understand a word he said.

"Out!” he yelled out, his finger pointing at the man.

Zephyr let out a laugh and went over to the man, Eric’s hand went up to slap the man, but once again his wrist was caught before he could do any harm. “Damn you! Are you a masochist or something? How many times do I have to yell and beat you to a pulp before you get it through that head of yours that I don't welcome your advances?” Eric spat out, his eyes reflecting his anger with the man.

“Lord Zephyr, He’s asking you if you are a masochist,” Alana translated as she walked in, shaking her head at her lord.

"Maybe I am," Zephyr said, thinking hard on it.

Alana let out a sigh. "Would you be kind enough to leave him alone for the rest of the night my lord? I think he doesn't want to deal with any more of your advances at the moment.”

Zephyr let go of Eric’s wrist and swiftly took a step back but he was not fast enough this time. Eric’s hand went up and around his neck pulling his head down toward the water.

"Umm.. Eric, I don't think that it’s a good idea to drown my lord. My sister might not help you out if you kill him," said Alana.

Eric pulled Zephyr’s head back up from the water. Before he knew it, the man stole another kiss from him.”

“That's for trying to drown me," said Zephyr. This time, he managed to get away before any more damage could be done to him. He escaped from the room with a cheerful, “I will see you tomorrow!”

"There is something very wrong with your lord Alana." Eric voiced out as he wiped the kiss away with the back of his hand.

Alana agreed and said, “Lord Zephyr has never behaved like this before. If someone else tried to do what you just did, they would be dead by now.”

Eric let out a long sigh before reaching out to take the towel from Alana. He wrapped it around himself and climbed out of the tub. “Have a good night Eric,” Alana said before leaving the room.

Lying in his bed, Eric shut his eyes and turned to his side. He fell asleep thinking about Zephyr.

Back in Phala, Garrick sat with his back against the tree, both his arms wrapped around the boy sleeping soundly with his head resting on his chest. He gazed up at the dark night sky thinking of his home, when he heard a low groan from opposite him. He shifted his eyes towards the sound. He sneered at the man before him. “Waking up already? Here I was thinking that you were dead,” he commented.

Casey looked up at the man, then he realized that he was tied to a tree. “Untie me this minute you, or I will have you killed!” Casey threatened man before him.

Garrick snorted. “Really, who is going to kill me? You?” remarked Garrick. Then he let out a soft laugh, not wanting to wake up the boy in his arms.

“Just you wait and see. Logan will send his men to help me and you will be dead before you know it,” spat Casey.

“I don't think so. Do you know why? Because this boy here in my arms has plans for you, and you are not going anywhere until he reaches his goal. Now I suggest that you shut the hell up and get some sleep.”

Casey tried a different approach with the man. “if you let me go and help me to bring Erin to my boss, he will give you as much money as you want for a reward. What do you say?” he said with a smile.

“I say shove that money up your ass! I already have more money then I can count. Also I would never betray this boy who is trying desperately to help me return home.” Garrick said with his eyes gazing down at the sleeping Erin.

“You...you.. damn you!" Casey shouted and turned his head to the side. He couldn't help but wonder who the hell the stranger was and why was he so protective of Erin.

Garrick felt a pair of eyes watching him. He opened his eyes to catch Casey staring at him and the boy. “Shut your damn eyes and go to sleep!” he yelled out to the man before shutting his eyes once more and tightening his hold on the sleeping Erin. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, he thought as he slept.

Erin awoke the next morning well rested. It took him a moment to recall that he had fallen asleep in Garrick’s arms. He tilted his head slightly back and gazed at the sleeping man’s face. The man was really handsome even in sleep. He had to give the man credit for that but when he was awake, he turned into an arrogant beast. Suddenly, dark brown eyes stared down at him. The man was awake now. He reached up and parted the man’s long curly bangs to the side. “You need a shave,” he commented, noticing the stubble around the man’s mouth.

“What if I tell you that I am trying to grow a beard for my self?” Garrick joked, his eyes on the boy.

Erin let out a soft laugh. “A beard doesn't suit you prince Garrick. A nice clean shaven face makes you look more handsomer. Besides, beards are for old men and you don't look like an old man to me,” said Erin.

Garrick laughed and Erin joined him. They both stopped laughing when they heard Casey. Erin turned to face the man. Casey glared at Erin.

“Don't think that you can escape from my brother Erin. He will find you and then you won't be laughing!” said Casey, his voice filled with hatred.

Garrick stood up and pulled Erin onto his feet. “Do you want me to kill him now or should we wait?” he asked the boy.

"There is no need to kill him. Just leave him like that. Soon his people will come after him. We have to leave now," said Erin.

“Aren't we going to take him with us?” Garrick asked the boy.

Erin shook his head. “We can't bring him with us. Yesterday I forgot one important fact about him when I decided to bring him along with us.”

“What is that very important fact boy?" asked Garrick.

“He is a life carrier as well, which means that he carries a tracking chip inside him. If we bring him along, they well find us in no time,” explained Erin. “It is better to leave him out here in the woods tied to the tree,” he added.

“What the hell is a tracking chip?” asked Garrick.

“I'll explain that later. We should get going.” Erin said as he lead the way. Garrick followed closely behind him.

Casey yelled out that he would get them back as they disappeared from his sight. “Shit!! Damn it!” he cursed. If he wasn't tied to the damn tree, he would have killed them already. It was late afternoon when his men found him. As soon as he was free, he immediately set out after the two of them, heading to Uranus as well.

“Boy why are we back here?” asked Garrick his eyes roaming the street for any sign of the Gia monsters.

Erin smiled up at the man. “We are here because this is the safest place for us right now. Now that Casey thinks we are heading towards Uranus, he will be chasing us all the way there. It will be too late for him to figure out that we tricked him. We will be off to a different part of the city by then.”

“Impressive boy. I never thought that you were smart before,” remarked Garrick.

Erin rolled his eyes at the man. “I'm not stupid, if that was what your first impression of me was Garrick.”

“Never thought you were boy. It’s just that you have been making stupid decisions from the moment I met you, and this was a bit of a surprise” said Garrick.

“Whatever!” Erin said, then he pulled Garrick to the side as a car pulled up next to them. The window rolled down and a smiling face greeted them.

“Hello Erin. I came to pick you up just like we planned,” said the man in the car.

“It’s about time you got here. I was beginning to think that something happened to you Devon. I was beginning to worry,” said Erin.

Devon laughed and told them to get in. Erin opened the car door and pushed Garrick inside before he got in as well. In no time, Devon drove them out of the city toward their true destination.
