Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Adreyn couldn’t recall how long he sat on the floor, listening to Craig move around the house, taking everything with him. He couldn’t remember when the door slammed shut and didn’t creak back open. He couldn’t remember when the tears finally stopped falling or why they even began in the first place. He and Craig had had their fair share of fights and though none ever lead Craig to actually move out, Adreyn never cried about anything—even when he was drunk.

Maybe Adreyn just needed to let out all the frustrations, and get out a good cry. Once he was done, Adreyn scrubbed his clammy face with soap and water and tried to wash away the red rims under his swollen eyes to no avail. He reached for the door handle and then hesitated, afraid of what he would find. He took two large deep breaths to calm himself and then pulled the door open.

Slowly entering the living room, he closed his eyes and forced the emotion down after taking in how desolate the room seemed now that all the things Craig had set up were gone. The entire apartment belonged to Craig from the large, big screen TV hanging on the wall down to the open can of Red bull sitting in their refrigerator. None of Craig’s shoes were blocking the entrances into each room, Adreyn noted as he wandered aimlessly around the apartment, and it was hilarious to find that the habit that once bothered him was what he was desperately looking for.

The only things that Craig left behind were the stuff in their bathroom, but that was because Adreyn had locked himself in there and all of those things were easily replaceable. Adreyn threw open the closet door and stared blankly at the rows of empty hangers on the bar and empty space on the closet floor where Craig’s shoes had once been. Craig was really gone

Then something hit him. “Cocoa!” He called out in a gravelly voice. He cleared his throat, leaving the bedroom in search of his dog. Had Craig taken her too? Technically, it was Craig’s dog since he’d bought her and mostly fed her and walked her and washed her and played with her. However, Adreyn also loved Cocoa as well. Had Craig really taken everything from him?

He was surprised, however, to see the chocolate lab bound happily from the spare bedroom, where her kennel was, and run happily towards him, jumping on her hind legs and pawing at Adreyn like crazy.
Adreyn groaned, maneuvering away from the big, wet sloppy tongue. Why had he wanted the dog again? “Cocoa, stop it!”

After wrestling the dog off him, he let her out to use the bathroom. He re-entered their room and collapsed on the bed to think. He hadn’t only looked around the house to see if Craig had really left him. A small part of him was curious to see if Ares was still around, and it seemed like his highly stressed mind had conjured the character up.

That was the only explanation he had since the guy was nowhere to be seen and quite honestly, was too good to be true. Grabbing the manuscript from his room, Adreyn flipped through it. It wasn’t even that good of a story so he threw it in the trash, hoping to be done with that chapter in his life.

Then Adreyn got up and entered the kitchen, opened the fridge and searched for something that was his. There was a half eaten yogurt and a bottle of water. It was sad to know that, without Craig, he would’ve starved to death—something he would probably end up doing at the end of the week when his money ran out. Sighing, he kicked the fridge close after getting the yogurt and picked up the phone to have some pizza delivered. He wasn’t about to go grocery shopping anytime soon.

After that was done and over with, he paced around the house, with nothing to stare at but the white walls as he spooned small portions of his yogurt into his mouth. After ten minutes of pacing, boredom began to set in. He sucked on his spoon, thoughtfully. What could he do?

“I could write.” He said to himself aloud, because the silence was getting to be deafening.

A picture of the naked warrior flashed in his mind and he shook his head. What else did he do all day besides writing? Well…

Nothing until Craig came home and forced him out of the house to do something. Well, that wasn’t an option either.

The scratching at the door reminded Adreyn that Cocoa was still outside. Maybe he could walk her.

Opening one of the cabinets in the dog’s room, he took out the leash and opened the door to let her in. Once she saw the leash, she began to wag her tail frantically as she sat and waited patiently for him to get the leash on her. The minute he strapped it on, she yanked him towards the door, dashing through her doggy door. Adreyn got a face full of the closed door and groaned, dropping the leash. “Fuck.” Grabbing onto his throbbing nose, he yanked the door open and barely closed it shut before taking off after the dog bolting down the sidewalk.

The thirty minute walk was practically hell, and by the time he made it back home, Adreyn could barely stand straight as he passed out on his bed, wheezing and forcing the overexcited dog off him. His eyes fell on the manuscript again as he tried to catch his breath and groaned, looking away from the story calling to him. He needed a life.

The doorbell rang and grudgingly, he got up and answered, paying for the pizza. He thought to make conversation and quickly got rid of the idea. He fell on the couch and took out the first slice, devouring it hungrily. He heard a low whine and looked down to see Cocoa staring at him expectantly. Oh yeah…he’d forgotten to feed her. Too tired to get up, he just handed her the crust of his pizza, despite how much Craig hated to give his dog table scraps. What Craig doesn’t know won’t kill him, Adreyn snickered. Then he was reminded of Craig, and he instantly turned gloomy.

After devouring half of the box, Adreyn put the rest in the fridge and looked at the time. About an hour had gone by.

Picking up the phone, he called a few of his so called friends to see if they could go out for a movie or something. After getting about six voicemails, he gave up and decided to take a nap, hoping the day would go by faster that way. He was desperate.

Collapsing on top of the sheets, he stared off into space, willing sleep to grab at him. It didn’t happen soon enough and his eyes fell on the manuscript again.

He groaned loudly. “I give up.” Slowly he got up and took the manuscript out, thumbing through the pages again. Even if Ares wasn’t real, he could severe his boredom. And if Ares was real…for whatever reason, Adreyn would be able to let off a little stress and get the bastard back for all the pain he’d brought him. “That’s right,
Adreyn. You’re planning on getting revenge on an imaginary creature for making you feel insane. Good one.” He shook his head at himself, but that didn’t stop him from heading to his lap top and pulling up a fresh Microsoft page.

He popped his fingers, twisted his neck, sat up straight and got to work.

He decided to focus on Ares’ “pet” this time. Being an incubus and all, the creature would thrive off intercourse, but to add a spin to it, Adreyn decided to make the creature feed off its lover’s essence. After losing a long time lover, since these creatures tended to mate for life, the creature would be on the verge of dying and reluctant to give in to Ares.

That sounded good.

A single teardrop pooled at the edge of his eye ducts before slowly trickling down his snow white skin, the silver liquid catching in the dark room as it seeped down and quickly began to form into a definite, solid. The small crystal fell to the floor, emitting a faint tick.

The door creaked open and harsh, white lights filled the room, catching the form cradled at the furthest corner of the glass containment by surprise as the head snapped up sharply. His eyes fell on a tall, imposing figure, the dark pupils of his eyes contracting from the bright light, nearly swallowing the pale cerulean irises that appeared blind despite how accurately they’d just found the other occupant of the room.

The other man strode carefully into the room, eyes situated on the bent figure across the room, watching him with the slightest tilt of his head. He smirked at the sight, eyes greedily marveling at the ivory glow of the creatures hard, marble like skin. He stopped short of the glass containment, standing between him and all he’d ever wanted and ran his palm down the glass, murmuring with a thick, possessive yearning in his voice. “Ma Laerta.” Slave, subordinate, possession. Mine.

Though the creature could not understand the man’s language, it was clear by the look in his power hungry eyes what the man meant. The creature’s eyes narrowed to slits as his irises bled into a light pink, hot pink, and then a burning, hot red. The creature snarled, baring his saliva-moistened teeth, vicious and elongated in his anger. A tremendous shiver ran the length of the other man’s spine, but it wasn’t one of fear.

The creature threw himself against the glass incasing, assaulted immediately with a current of electricity tearing through its frame. The creature let out a high pitched scream of pain that did not break through the surface of the glass. However, the creature was more astounded by the odd sensation than the actual pain, as he retreated and whimpered, curling back within itself. Unfazed, the other man stared at him with feral green eyes, not even slightly horrified at the anguish in those screams.

The creatures shivered slightly, but the intensity of his eyes didn’t waver. They stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity but what was in actuality, merely a few short seconds, one with intense interest splayed across his face and the other with a mixture of fear and loathing.

Adreyn paused. It was one thing to have Ares hated by the creature he wanted and given resistance, but he needed more. His countrymen already hated him…perhaps they could overthrow him as well? Or demand he get married? His politics could be forced down his throat…

Hmm…

Slowly, Adreyn began to lose himself in his work. Minutes turned into hours, and the rest of his day went by in a blur.

Adreyn woke up the next morning feeling much better than he did the previous morning. This meant, however, that it didn’t take him ages to remember that Craig had left him and that the warmth pressing against him was another human beings and not his dog. Considering he hadn’t gone anywhere last night that could only mean…

He groaned and reluctantly turned in the others’ vice like grip. He was met with a stone hard, handsome face with eerie green eyes boring into him. “It’s you again.”

He hadn’t expected an answer as he began to slowly get up and away from his crazy hallucination. He wasn’t shocked when the hands held on tight and forced his him back against the other man’s where he could feel his erect penis digging into his naked back. He was pretty sure he had worn clothes to bed last night, but with Ares in his bed, it didn’t take a genius to figure out what had gone wrong…even though technically, Ares, an abstract figment of his imagination wouldn’t be able to remove his concrete clothes. But that was a different story.

He was shocked that he actually got an answer as he felt the chest behind him reverberate as a deep, baritone whispered in his ears.

“You find my presence bothersome, and rightfully so since your lover left you. However, if you dare to leave my bed without permission again, you shall regret it.”

Adreyn gaped for a long time before his shock turned to anger. He couldn’t possibly get away so he turned in the other man’s arms and stared him down, nose to nose. “The fuck I will! Who the hell do you think you—“

“You are mine.” Ares cut him off abruptly, his words hard and filled with finality as he crushed Adreyn in a bruising grip. ”Ma Laerta! Do not deny me for that worthless human! ” His eyes then softened a bit as he took in Adreyn’s stiff position. He slowly ran his fingers down the side of his face. Adreyn shivered as he felt the callousness on his finger pads scratch against his skin.

“I do not want to hurt you…but I will not tolerate disobedience. Even by you. You shall succumb to me peacefully or I shall be forced to… discipline you.” He paused, as if trying to find the right word to basically say he was going to rape Adreyn into being his bitch. At least, that’s the way Adreyn interpreted it. “Either way, you are mine. Do you understand?”

A chill ran down Adreyn’s spine and he swallowed hard. “Yes…?”

“Good…” Adreyn felt a large hand cup the back of his entire head and force him forward, bringing their lips together in a passionate, deep, burning kiss. He sighed and gave in, parting his lips and moving in closer into the heat of the other man’s larger body. Ares kiss became gentle, one hand carefully threading through Adreyn’s hair as the other caressed his hips.

Ares’ warm tongue dipped into his mouth, languidly moving with his own. Each time Ares teasingly pulled his lips away before slowly bending his head forward to attack Adreyn’s lips again it felt like someone was dunking Adreyn’s head in and out of water. He was blissfully gone when his head was submerged as his lips were taken. His head rang, his heart beat faster but quietly in his chest, and the pleasure coiled in the pit of his stomach. However, when Ares drew his lips away, Adreyn was gasping for air, his head felt heavy, and his heart felt like it was about to pound or explode straight out of his chest. Adreyn had never felt anything like this. Even with Craig…

Craig…

Adreyn turned his head to the side, cursing a loud. “I don’t think--”

“Don’t think. Suck.” Ares demanded, pushing Adreyn’s shoulders down until he was hovering over his lower body.

Okay…that sounded easy enough. Adreyn rolled his eyes, but despite the sarcasm in his thoughts, giving head was Adreyn’s weakness. He’d always thought something was wrong with him, because whenever Adreyn went without for a few days, he always felt this deep hunger that he had to sate. So staring down his nose at what had to roughly be a nine or ten inch, thick, aroused dick, Adreyn couldn’t help instinctively reacting to the sight as saliva pooled into his mouth, and his lips instantly parted in anticipation.

Pushing back thoughts of Craig to the back of his mind, Adreyn groaned as the hot, hard organ slipped easily into his mouth, not stopping until he felt all of it slide deep into his throat and his nose was buried in Ares’ dark curls.

Adreyn heard a sharp intake of breath and opened his eyes, staring into those haunting green eyes which were still creepy as hell, but at least that annoying look of impatience and irritation was gone from Ares’ face.

“Good.” Ares all but purred as his fingers curled around a fistful full of Adreyn’s messy, auburn hair, his blunt nails digging into Adreyn’s scalp. The pain was sharp at first, but instantly dulled into a small ache.
Adreyn allowed Ares to guide his movements, forcing his head roughly back and forth on his dick. And Adreyn loved every moment of it. He loved the raw burn in the back of his throat as he swallowed continuously around the thick, rigid cock, torturing Ares’ with swipes of his tongue and hollowing his cheeks.

With one hand holding himself upright on the bed, the other massaged any part of Ares’ body that Adreyn could get his hands on. He rubbed up his thigh, tracing the muscles in Ares’ abdomen almost greedily as he ran his dull nails over his body, marking him.

Ares’ was obviously enthralled, although the only indication that he was enjoying the wet, hot heat encasing his member were the quickening rise and fall of his chest, and the constant jerk of his hips as he forced them upward, and forced Adreyn’s head downward, urging him to work him faster. Apart from that, he remained silent as he watched Adreyn, loving the intense pleasure on his lover’s face as he pleased him, the few hot tears falling down Adreyn’s face with each violent thrust , and those perfect cock sucking lips wrapped tightly around him like a vice.

Like this, Adreyn was more than beautiful. He was perfect.

Ares’ hips began to buck harder and out of rhythm as he fucked Adreyn’s mouth. His balls tightened and with a sudden jerk of his hand, he forced Adreyn’s head back. Without warning, Adreyn felt a never-ending current of white, warm semen splash down his face. Adreyn actually squealed and had to bite back a laugh at his reaction.
Adreyn licked his lips and opened his mouth, wanting taste as much of Ares’ warm, sticky load as he could possibly swallow. He moaned contently as he heard Ares’ sigh and slip himself into Adreyn’s awaiting mouth, allowing him to lick him clean. Ares couldn’t help the small twitch of his lips as he witnessed the attention Adreyn lavished on his cock, looking very much like a cat with cream.

The grip in Adreyn’s hair loosened, and feeling those long, calloused fingers threading gently through his hair was what finally snapped Adreyn out of the moment. He pulled his mouth off Ares’ dick with a slight pop, ignoring the little bit of disappointment he felt now that his mouth was empty and that beautiful, saliva glistened cock was softening and lying against Ares’ washboard abs.

Grabbing his clothes that he’d worn to bed, Adreyn wiped at his face and resisted the urge to wipe at Ares’ body, knowing that once he got close enough, he may not pull back any time soon. Adreyn was satisfied, and for now, so was Ares. Hopefully, this meant that soon Ares could disappear and Adreyn could get back a semblance of what his normal life used to be. Maybe that was what Adreyn needed—just to unwind a little and get rid of some of the stress he’d had pent up for weeks.

As Adreyn tried to get himself somewhat cleaner, Ares watched him the entire time, causing Adreyn to fidget under that hard, intense stare. After wiping his face, Adreyn looked around the room, trying to find something to do or say next, and coming up blank. Why hadn’t he disappeared yet?
The moment was getting more and more awkward so Adreyn decided to break it, and just said the first thing that came to mind. “Well… that was fun.”

Ares said nothing; though his face seemed more relaxed and his eyes were…dare Adreyn say it? Smiling a bit?

“Right…so I’m going to go take a shower.” Adreyn began to get off the bed.

“I shall join you.”

“Umm…I’d rather you not.”

Ares’ face slowly grew darker.

“On second thought, we would save water. My bill hit the roof last month, anyways.” Then to himself, Adreyn muttered, “I liked him so much better when he didn’t speak.”

“I heard that.” Ares’ gravelly, deep voice rumbled from behind Adreyn. Adreyn laughed just a little, shaking his head. Maybe this situation wouldn’t be so bad. Delusional or not, at least he had some company now.

Seekah: Sorry AGAIN about not updating sooner. I’ve had this sitting around for FOREVER and I just can’t bring myself to write anymore. It feels like a chore these days. I just wish I could go back to five years ago, back to when I wrote “Anything you can do, I can do better” and just write 20 paged, 18 chapter stories, no sweat. Anyway, hope you guys like it…if anyone is still reading that is. Haha. In the next chapter, I’ll start shaping the plot a little more.
