EPISODE 4

EPISODE 4

The sun rose over New York. The sun beamed down on the runners in Central Park. The sun was sure enough out but the cold nippy air was there as well. The people of New York were bracing themselves for a snowstorm. But Amanda on the other hand was bracing herself for another day of torture. She jumped out the shower and prepared herself for a long day one that consists of a job interview. She had been in that house with her mother for four long days and she knew that she had to do something to get out of that house. So she applied for several jobs and Barnes and Nobles had called her back for an interview. So now she was staring at herself in her full-length mirror. She looked amazing.
“Look out people. Amanda is coming.” She said to her reflection. She opened her bedroom door and as she exited she heard her mothers voice crying out. She was curious as to what she was yelling. So she made her way to her mothers door. She put her ear to the door and listened.
“Listen I don’t have to do what you say. I have come back home and I don’t plan on going back. I did love you but what you did was wrong. So I guess you better just forget me already.” Her mother sounded as if she was scared. Amanda stood there wondering what was going on. She then heard a sound. The sound of crying. Her mother was crying. Amanda wanted to console her but that part that hated her told Amanda to just walk away. So that was what she did.
Amanda stood there in the waiting room. She sat there with her legs crossed waiting for her chance to be interviewed. Sitting next to her was a boy. A cute boy that she couldn’t stop looking at.
“May I help you?” The cute boy asked her.
“Excuse me?” Amanda looked at him with a surprise face.
“I notice that you keep staring at me. Is there something on my face?” Amanda felt heat rise in her face as she felt embarrassed.
“No…I’m sorry.”
“It’s perfectly okay. My name is Jordan.” He put his hand out as he waited for her hand to meet his for a handshake. She returned the gesture.
“I’m Amanda.” She smiled as she touched his soft hands.
“I wish you luck with your interview.” He smiled back at her as he spoke.
“Thank you. You too Jordan.” Just then a tall slender woman dressed in red came out.
“Amanda?” She looked at Amanda. “You may come in.” The woman gestured for Amanda to follow her.
“Well hopefully I’ll see you around.” Amanda told Jordan. She followed the woman into the room and left cute Jordan sitting there waiting.

Kimberly laughed at the television. She was watching some show that obviously amused her.
“Kimberly please come in here.” Her father called from his room. Kimberly got up from the couch and made her way to the room.
“Yes dad?” She said from the doorway.
“I need you to go pick something up for me.” Her father smiled. Kimberly already knew what it was.
“Dad again. You should still have some.” She frowned.
“Well honey I don’t. So here’s the cash. You know where to go.” She slowly walked over to him to retrieve the cash. She took the cash and she made her way out his room. She looked down at the cash in her hand. She hated having to this chore for him. She didn’t mind cleaning or cooking but this was not your favorite thing on the list.
Kimberly walked down the street. She had to walk 3 blocks till she got to a tall building. She would ring 23C and a man would answer. She would introduce herself, enter the house and get the stash. Cocaine was the drug of choice for her father, the drug that calmed him down. She entered and there was the dealer. The woman called him “BIG D” and his clients would call him “MR. BLACK.”
“Hey Kimberly how are you?” He asked her. She stared at him with hatred.
“I’m okay. I’m here for my dad’s stash. Here is the cash.” She put her hand out.
“Is that all you’re here for? You sure you don’t want to go again? I’m always ready honey.”
“Listen to me asshole. I was high on that shit you served me in my drink. You lucky my ass didn’t tell someone about that. I’m here for the drugs and that is it. So can you hand it over so I can go?” She placed the cash on the table. Mr. Black made his way into his room of drugs. He came back with two bags and handed it to her.
“Here sweet cakes. If you ever changed your mind you know where I’m at.” He smiled at her. He had nice white teeth that shined against his dark lips.
“I don’t think that will be happening.” She put the bags in her pocket and made her way out the door.
“Damn that was some good pussy too. Oh well.” Mr. Black said to himself.

Brian and Carl walked into Toys R Us in Times Square. They were doing some Christmas shopping. Brian walked over to the video game section and looked at the games. He wanted to get David a game for his PSP.
“What game would David like?” Brian asked Carl.
“He likes sports games. A basketball one would be good.” Carl took out his cell phone and looked at the screen.
“Yo Carl what’s up? You look at your phone like every hour.” Brian picked up the newest NBA game and made his way to the counter to pay. The line was long.
“I’m just waiting for a call. I don’t want to miss it.”
“You dog why didn’t you tell us you had a girlfriend?” Brian poked Carl in the side. Carl flinched.
“I don’t have a girlfriend you fool.” Brian began to get restless.
“I hate fucking lines. This shit is crazy.” Brian then felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket. He handed the game to Carl and he reached in his pocket to get his phone. He looked on the screen and it read “Liam Cell.” Brian flipped his phone opened.
“Hey there man. What’s up?”
“What you up to today? You weren’t at the meeting today.”
“Sorry man my friend wanted me to come shopping with him. I still have some people that I need to shop for too so I came along. How was it?”
“It was okay. We did some new exercises. I guess I’ll show you when we chill again. So I’ll leave you alone so you can finish shopping. Call me when you free.” Liam told Brian.
“Sure man. Take care.” Brian hung up his phone.
“Was that your crush?” Carl asked with a smile on his face.
“Excuse me? I don’t have a crush on him. I’m not gay.”
“I mean he likes you man. Can’t you see it? He calls all the time. He took time out to introduce himself to you the first meeting. He likes you.” Carl let out a laugh.
“Give me the game and shut up loser. He is only a friend.” Brian took the game and the cashier called “NEXT.” And Brian made his way to the counter to pay.
“Whatever.” Carl said under his breath.

David looked through his closet for a suit to wear to the funeral tonight. He didn’t want to go but he was going only for his mom. He felt bad cause his mother had been depressed for the past few days. David hated to see his mother sad but on the other hand he was happy for the peace that was now in the house. David found a suit to wear and he began to iron. The heat from the iron hit his face.
“David Theresa is on the phone for you.” His mother yelled. David picked up the phone in his room.
“I got it mom.” He waited for the click, which meant his mother had hung up the other phone. “Hey baby girl how you doing?” David missed her. He missed her sweet lips and her warm body on his.
“I’m okay baby how are you holding up?”
“I’m doing okay. My mother is the one that is a wreck right now. She is slowly throwing away all his clothes.”
“I bet it’s hard for her. I don’t know what I would do if I lost the one I loved.” Theresa sat on her bed toying with the necklace.
“You won’t lose me baby. I’m here to stay. How’s the baby doing?” David was so anxious to become a father.
“I’m only a month pregnant baby. The baby is okay.” Theresa smiled.
“Well tell the baby that I love him/her. I have to go baby. I have so much to do before tonight. I wish you could come.”
“I wish I could be there with you too but I have something to do today. So call me later. I love you.”
“I love you too.” David hung up the phone and continued to iron.

Theresa finished getting dressed and she made her way out the door.
“Mom and dad I have to go somewhere but I’ll be back soon. Love you both.” She screamed as she exited her house. Theresa walked over to the nearest bus stop and she waited. She was feeling bad for lying to David. She wanted to tell him where she was going but she knew he would stop her. And right now she felt that what she was going to do would be best for her and David. Theresa stepped on the bus and enjoyed the sounds of her IPOD. The music was soothing her nerves. Finally she reached her stop. She got off the bus and she began to walk to her destination. How would it be? She wondered. Would it be packed? Would people in there stare at her? What will become of her and David after? She reached her destination and she stepped in. There were several girls sitting on chairs all filling out forms. She looked around at all these girls. Half of them in her age range. Half of them were looking slutty. She stepped up to the lady at the window and she began to speak.
“Excuse me I scheduled an appointment for 5 o’clock.” Theresa looked at the ugly balding woman in her eyes. Is this woman judging me as she looks at me? Theresa was asking herself.
“’Okay honey here is a clipboard on here is a form that you have to fill out. The doctor will call you and you will give him your form.” The lady handed her the form and directed for her to take a seat. Theresa walked over to the far right corner and sat down. She reluctantly lifted her head once and awhile to stare at the other girls. She felt a knot in her stomach. Just as she was writing her phone number on the form she heard a voice.
“Hello there.” She looked up to see this pretty girl She was slender and had the prettiest eyes. “My name is Tyra.” The girl sat next to Theresa.
“Hello my name is Theresa.” She looked back down at her form and continued to write.
“So why are you having an abortion?” Theresa looked up at her again.
“Cause…” She then looked back down and continued again.
“Well this may sound shallow but I’m giving up my baby because I don’t want to lose my figure. The men love my figure.” Theresa thought to herself
“THIS IS WHY YOU’RE HERE RIGHT NOW.”
“So I decided to give up this little brat. I mean what can a baby bring me anyway? Nothing but dirty clothes stinky hair, and no beauty sleep. Does that sound like fun?” The girl just kept on talking. “So do you have a boyfriend?” Theresa was now growing furious.
“Yes I do now can you leave me alone so I can finish?” The girl looked at Theresa.
“You are rude. Thank God you’re going to give up your baby. You would be a horrible mother.” The girl walked away and went back to her seat. Theresa sat there with that knot still in her stomach only now it was tighter. The woman behind the glass looked at her and smiled. Finally a short fat man came out from behind the black door.
“Can I please see a Tyra Light?” Tyra raised from her seat and as she passed Theresa she whispered,
“Good luck honey.” Theresa smiled at her. Theresa now felt a little better. She leaned back and waited for her name to be called.

Amanda was on AOL. She sat there at her desk just staring at the screen. Just then the boy form the other night hit her up.

LYONGER: HEY THERE…DO YOU REMEMBER ME?
AMANDAPANDA: OF COURSE I DO…HOW CAN I FORGET SUCH A CUTE BOY?
LYONGER: WOW…THANKS….SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING TOMORROW?
AMANDAPANDA: NOTHING REALLY…WHY?
LYONGER: I WAS WONDERING IF WE COULD MEET UP AND CHILL…MAYBE SEE A MOVIE MY TREAT.
AMANDAPANDA: WELL THAT SOUNDS GREAT BUT I’M NOT READY FOR THAT STEP AS OF YET.
LYONGER:  OH WELL I GUESS SOME OTHER TIME THEN.
AMANDAPANDA: NO DOUBT….SO HAVE A GOOD DAY.
LYONGER: YOU TOO…BYE.

Amanda logged out. She looked at her screen and she thought about Jordan. How cute he was and how she hoped they both got the job. Amanda walked out of her room and past her mother’s room. She noticed that the door was open. She peaked in and her mother was not in there. Amanda took it upon herself to go in the room. She looked through her mother’s stuff. She found her mother’s phone. She opened it and recalled the morning conversation she heard the one with her mother screaming. She opened the phone and looked though the call log. There she saw a number with no name. A long distance number.
“Could this be the person she was talking to?” Amanda then heard footsteps approaching. So Amanda quickly took her cell phone out and typed in the number into her phone. She clicked saved and she threw her mother’s phone back where she found it.
“What are you doing in here?” Amanda turned around to see her sister.
“Oh looking for some paper to write on.” Amanda walked past her sister and smiled. “Wake me up for dinner I’m going to take a nap.” Amanda went into her room and closed the door. She sat on her bed and flipped open her phone. She stared at the number.
“Who are you?” She said to herself.
