Why...?
Chap four guys!! Whoa... We write with the lightning, ne?
Disclaimer: Aki and Shoji - still mine, but this time I've thosen a title and song of "Soil", so that's not mine either... It is called:
*Why…?*
Shoji sat in his window, looking out at the moon. It was full. The last joint rested between his fingers. His last joint for his last night. To day at school, he’d mentally said goodbye to Katashi and the others in his class. He’d even said goodnight to his mother, Mr. Haruka and Ashley, even though they didn’t give a damn. At dinner this evening he’d shortly met Aki’s eyes. Even he didn’t know what was about to happen. He knew nothing about the drugs or the dealers. Not even him… Shoji found himself longing for that bastard in that moment. It was weird. For a month they hadn’t exchanged one word with each other and Shoji had basically felt hate towards the guy and now…? If he could fulfil just one last wish, it would be to spend this, his last night, alone with Aki. There was no one else he wanted to be with right now, he didn’t even want to be alone. He was scared the shit and the drug didn’t help at all.
There was no arguing about it. He couldn’t sit here alone on his last night. Shoji rose from the window and seconds late he stood outside Aki’s door. Silence. Completely silence. Slowly Shoji entered Aki’s room. It was dim. From the window the full moon illuminated a bed and revealed a sleeping form. Shoji walked softly across the floor and crept in the bed, facing Aki’s sleeping face. For minutes Shoji just stared at the peaceful and… extremely beautiful face. He had known that Aki was good looking, his sister and other girls had said that a lot, but that his stepbrother was actually beautiful, Shoji only just now discovered. Why had they stopped talking in the first place? Things had gone so fast and a lot of things had happened, so Shoji hadn’t really thought about it. Then it hit him. That might have been the reason why Aki became angry with him in the first place, which was the reason Shoji had gotten angry with Aki.
“Who have ever said anything about being friends? I’m nobody’s friend…” Then the disappointed look on Aki’s face and: “Well, I was wrong then, I thought we had something”. Shoji beat him self up mentally. Of cause, that was it! That’s why Aki became angry with him, and for a good reason. Why had he said that anyway? It was not true in any way! Aki was the first real friend Shoji had ever had. Had Shoji really that deep down that he hadn’t seen it?
“Are you life really that fucked? Aren’t there just one little thing positive in you’re life?” It was just now that Shoji realized what Aki had been fishing for that night at their parents wedding. Aki had asked him if he wasn’t a positive thing for Shoji, and he discovered now that he was. Aki was a positive thing in Shoji’s life; he was the only positive thing but certainly worth living for. No wonder Aki had become that mad at him. He’d really fucked it all up. He’d ruined it all and he was about to get his punishment for it. It suited him well - a painful death. Tears began to escape Shoji’s dark eyes. He wasn’t ready for it. Not at all. He’d only just started livening.
“I’m sorry…” he whispered, “I’m so, so sorry Aki… Please forgive me…” Shoji turned to get of the bed, but a warm hand graphed his arm and pulled him back down. He met shinning green eyes and a crooked smile.
“It’s okay, Sho” Aki whispered, “I forgive you…” Aki pulled Shoji close and seconds later their lips met in a hungry kiss.
Shoji could feel that Aki indeed forgave him and that he had missed him. It was like a whole month of longing came to action know. Shoji couldn’t hold back one single moan, no matter how much he tried. Geez, he couldn’t believe he could ever have missed a touch so much without knowing. Shoji had been with other guys during this month, not unusual, but none of them could ever be compared to Aki’s touches, kisses, bites and caresses. He didn’t know why, they just made him feel so good. And the way his own body responded to Aki’s… It was electric, like magic…
That was defiantly the best last night Shoji could ever wish for…
Aki woke by the sound of a door shutting. It was still dark outside, but he felt completely awake and by surprising good mood. He’d made up with Shoji again and in a very good and pleasant way. His body had been sat free after a month in prison. Aki stretched and jawed before he realized he was alone in the bed. Shoji had gotten out of bed? He might’ve gone back to his own bed, but that was quite unusual. Normally Aki would have to throw Shoji out of bed, no matter if it was his own or Aki’s.
Suddenly Aki heard voices outside in the hall and froze. He couldn’t hear what they said, only that were at least four and Shoji was one of them, the three others sounded older. Aki didn’t know what was going on, but he didn’t like it and he was not going to let it be. He got out of bed and was about to go out the door, when it suddenly opened. Aki hid himself in the dark and watched. Despise the dim darkness Aki could tell that it was Shoji. He stopped at the bed and then looked around.
“I’m here…” Aki said and stepped out from the dark corner, facing Shoji.
“You’re awake?” Shoji asked stupidly.
“Yeah…” There was no emotion in Aki’s voice. He felt something bad was about to happen.
“I kinda hoped you were not, this makes it a whole lot harder for me…” Shoji almost whispered as he looked down in the floor.
“What…?”
“I’m going back to my room…” He said silently, “We can’t have they walk in on us tomorrow…” Shoji was about to leave the room, but Aki stopped him at the door.
“What!?!” Aki almost shouted, “We can’t have they walk in on us?! Like you ever gave a damn about that? What is wrong?!”
“Nothing! Okay? I’m just tired!”
“Sure, and that’s why you wake up, in the middle of the night, only to go back to your own room… Sho, you make no sense at all! Please tell me what is going on! I’m begging you!”
Shoji returned his attention to the floor. Not wanting to meet Aki’s hurt glance.
“It has something to do with you taking drugs, hasn’t it?” Shoji looked up, surprised that Aki could come up with that idea. He was sure he hadn’t mentioned anything about it.
Aki guessed Shoji’s question.
“On the night of your suicide attempt…” he explained, “I was in your room and I could smell it, I didn’t give it another thought until later, I was too preoccupied by finding you alive…” Shoji smiled sadly. So Aki knew a bit about it that made it a bit easier to explain. Shoji took a deep breath “They gave me an offer” he said in a low voice, “I won’t have to pay them, if I’m willing to stay with the boss, until his thinks it’s paid off…” Aki blinked. That sounded weird.
“You should stay with them and do what?”
Shoji didn’t answer; he looked back at the floor. Silence. Aki gasped. his friend wasn’t about to do what Aki thought he was about to do, right?
“I knew it! Sho, you can’t let them do that to you! You can’t let them use you like that!” Shoji looked back up at Aki, his eyes filled with tears.
“What do you think I should do then?! If I don’t accept their offer, they’ll kill me, that’s for sure, and not only that, they will kill me in the most humiliating and painful way, I know them, I’ve seen them work… Would you rather that happened? With this offer at least there is a little chance that they’ll let me go some day…” Shoji felt his entire body shake. He was afraid and angry, angry that Aki wouldn’t just let it be. Aki shook his head.
“You can’t do it… I won’t let you do it…”
“And why is that?” Shoji almost shouted, he had troubles controlling his temper and the calm but clearly hurt Aki didn’t help at all, “It’s my life; I can do whatever I want… I can take care of myself…”
“You and you’re damn pride!” Aki suddenly exploded, “No, you can not take care of yourself! You DO need someone!”
“I DON’T!” Shoji argued, “I’ve taken care of myself all my life, so I can sure take care of myself now!”
“You sure are good…” Aki voice sounded sarcastic, “Now, at the age of 17 you stands with two choices. Either being made into a sex toy or die… What a life!”
“Why do you care anyway?!” Shoji gave back, “First you play around with me, like I’m some toy, then you suddenly prevent me from making suicide, then you get angry and won’t talk to me and now you suddenly wanna interfere with my life again!? What the FUCK is you’re problem!?!” Before Aki could get a hold of himself it all burred out. All the emotions and frustrations towards Shoji that he’d kept locked up for the last three months.
“I’ll tell you what my problem is! I’m madly in love with a guy, who thinks I’m just toying with him and want to die, because he can’t see just how fucking much I love him!! That’s my fucking problem!!”
Shoji looked at Aki, surprised. Unable to say a word. Never in his wildest wet dreams he’d ever imagined Aki tell him something like that. He loved him?
“What? Surprised? You thought all those times were just lust? It might have been from your side, but sure not from mine… I love you Sho, damned! More than you can ever imagine!”
Silence…
“Bullshit… No one, not ever… I’m not the kind of person you love… I’m just a person you fuck and then throw away…”
Shoji walked past Aki and disappeared down the hall…
