Another Chapter update! Gonna keep writing! Gotta keep writing! Need to see more stories!!!
Chapter 33
Dawn approached the town and the early morning light crept across the room untill it landed on a face. Trying to block out the light, John rubbed his eyes. He gazed around and seeing Jessica cuddled close reminded him of last night. He smiled to her. Truely she had been right for his mind and body seemed refreshed, despite last night\'s actions. He shook her a little, hoping to wake her gently and Jessica responded, streaching out her arms.
\"Morning my little angel.\"
Jessica smiled to him and planted a kiss on his lips. \"If I didn\'t love you so much, I might take that the wrong way you know.\" Sitting up, the blankets fell to her waist exposing her naked top half. Pulling herself out of bed, Jessica went to get some fresh clothes, uncaring of John\'s staring at her back and butt, his eyes following the movements she made. Snapping out of it, he decided to get dressed.
Once they had bother eaten something, they decided to get a look around the town, but it was halted. For one of the first things they saw far off, were some people inspecting a person that was on the ground. Another second later they recognized the person.
\"Aivon!\"
Both of them ran to him. His cloak was even more tattered and shabby, and they could see parts of it wrapped around his shoulder with some dried blood there, covering a wound. He twitched slightly on the ground and a even more so, went Jessica tried to help him up. His body was cold and pale, which made him look as through he spent the entire night laying on the ground.
\"Aivon! Aivon get up!\"
\"Uggg... Ow...\"
\"He\'s still alive... Quick, John we have to get him to the inn now!\"
John went around and, helpping Jessica support him, got him to the inn. They found a seperate rrom then the one they stayed in and laid him on the bed, his breathing coming up shorter but steadier too. John went to get a washcloth with which Jessica could use to clean up his wounds, and some food for him to eat.
Hours later Aivon sat up in his bed, his body aching in places he\'d rather forget about. He looked to his wound and found the bandages there instead of his own cloak.
\"Glad your awake.\" John and Jessica were in chairs, looking at him.
\"Where... am I?\"
\"Back at the village of course. You kinda gave us a scare there. We found you a little into the village.\"
\"What happened to you!? Your hurt and looking bad...\"
Aivon grit his teeth, but decided now would be the best time to tell them what happened and why.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aivon walked to the mouth of the cave. From far away, he could not see them, but two demons had been guarding the entrence. One of them got in his way.
\"Who the hell are you? What are you doing here?\"
\"Get out of my way. I have business here with my father.\"
\"Look punk, I don\'t care who you think you are, but your no way in hell going-\"
\"Wait a minute!\" The other guard looked at him carefully and whispered something to the first one that Aivon couldn\'t hear. The guard looked shocked and stared to Aivon before hastily standing aside.
\"Pardon! I didn\'t realize... yes yes, you may enter.\"
Aivon looked to the guard, who cringed at him. He was just about to tell him off a mere five seconds ago, and now he was afraid of him. Perhaps his father had some power over them, one they didn\'t want to have enraged by the sending of his son. Of course, it could only mean that his father was alot higher up in this command then he realized. Walking into the cave, he noticed the light inside was of some kind of magic. Nothing else he knew of could make it as if the sun had decided to shine inside this place. Various demons were fighting one another, and a few others were staring at some weapons they may encounter the humans to use against them... or were they going to be trained to use them?
Walking deeper into the cave, he gazed soon at a kind of throne. It was certainly some kind of seat demons surrounded it as guards, and was placed on an upraised dais of the ground.
\"I come looking for Hiroas.\"
Everyone stared to him, but the one on the throne-like chair faced him and stood. His wild blood-red eyes seemed to be judging Aivon. His body was made of the same scale-like armor that Avion hid beneath his cloak, although it seemed to have spread out to his arms and legs. His white hair partically covered one eye as he wiped it away with his claw.
\"And who... dares to seek me?\"
\"I am... Aivon. I\'m come back to you... father.\" At the last word, he threw off his cloak to show his demonic scales, the inherited trait of his father. The one called Hiroas jumpped down and approached Aivon. Aivon stood, unmoving and unafraid as the demon placed his claw over the scales and ran it up and down over them, as if to determine if they were really part of his skin. He pulled away and let out a ringing laughter.
\"My son! You have come at last to embrace your true heritage!\"
His ringing voice caused the demons to shout with him. \"Yes I have returned... I could no longer stay with mother once I knew what I truely was.\"
\"Yes yes... come, have something to eat.\" Avion looked to where some food had been prepared, but didn\'t move. \"We have much catching up to do, you and I.\"
\"Yes... but I\'m not here for food. Rumor has it that there are demons waging attacks against a nearby village. I guess your a part of this all.\"
\"A part? Hah, I lead them all!\" Hiroas said with a sense of pride. \"What do you think? Not bad for me huh?\"
\"Foolish father...\" Which caused him to stop his gloating long enough to be punched in the face. Hiroas was sent knocked back, and Aivon replaced his cloak. \"I didn\'t come to get to know you better, I came to stop this nonsense. And to avenge myself.\"
\"Avenge!? What do you mean!?\"
\"You have no idea what you have done to my mother, the damage you caused us. I\'m here to put a stop to you and your insane plans.\"
Hiroas looked to Aivon and his expression became stony. \"I see... so your going to defy your own father then...\"
\"Your no father of mine!\" Aivon yelled and rushed up to him. Hiroas, however, caught his son by the throat and slamed his body into the nearby cave wall. His scale-like torso prevented him from breaking anything, but it still hurt like hell.
\"Fool... your nothing compared to me. You may carry my blood but it seems you time with humans has softned you. Your pathatic.\"
\"Heh... well... like father, like son right?\" Aivon said, trying to taunt him. Enraged, Hiroas drove his claw into Aivon\'s unprotected shoulder, creating a deep wound there. Aivon screamed out and thrashed in pain, but Hiroas\' grip prevented him from doing much. Throwing his son to the floor, Hiroas watched him writh on the ground, lookiung pitiful.
\"Take him and throw him out. I have no son.\" He walked away, while two of the demons picked up Aivon\'s limp body. Dragging it out into the open fields they tossed him into a tree, where he hit it and the ground with a satisifying thud. Walkig away from the sight, Aivon managed to tremble a bit, gathering strength to lift himself up. His body bruised and broken, he walked into the calm of the night back to the village, as fast as his body could allow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
\"That\'s... horrible.\" Jessica said, turning away to the ground.
\"I must stop him... I can\'t let my father do this.\"
\"No!\" John stood up firecely. \"He will not get away with it. Aivon, we are coming too. And we will show him just what it means to mess with us.\"
Jessica also stood, a look of determination on her face. \"Thank you... both of you. But I must do this alone.\"
\"You can\'t! It\'s too dangerous and-\"
\"Only I can stop my father. I will avenge myself for the cursed existance he placed upon me.\"
\"We will still go. There are other demons there too, right? It would only mean that they will fight and try to weaken you too. You\'ll need all the strength you can get to beat your dad.\"
Aivon looked to the two and nodded. He knew they would be ok, thier magic would help. But Aivon promised himself that he would be the one to strike the finishing blow on his father, and rest his troubled heart.
