I know the story is going to fast and all, but I’ve said before that this is one of the stories that I don’t care about messing up and all.

As she read the sentence over and over again, Kyou noticed her eyes growing larger and her nostrils flaring. He knew something was going to happen and vaguely wondered what was on the page. He was almost afraid to guess.

Their mother glanced up at the both and suddenly threw the book at Shuuko. He let out a startled squeak as he ducked to avoid the blow.

“Out! Get your asses out the door, both of you! Get out of my house!”

Shuu sat back up and put the book on the nightstand beside him. He stretched his legs out and leaned against the headboard, watching Kyou. He caught his eye again, and watched, disappointed, as he turned away into the wall.

“Don’t sit there, get out!”

“Oka-san, if we both leave, what’ll you do? Do you really want the rest of the family to know about us? Because we all know they’re going to ask and you can only lie for so long. Besides that, how are you going to pay the bills? You don’t even have a job.” Shuu sighed heavily. “All the money that you get is from us and our jobs.”

Their mom shoved her hands through her hair. “You stay here then. I’ll go live with my Nee-san. It’s not as though I want to hear you fucking each other.” She glared at them one last time before turning into the hall.

Shuu listened to her go into her room and rummage in there. She walked past the room, a suitcase in her hand, but refused to look in at them. Finally, they heard the front door slam shut, the whole house shaking. Shuu looked out the window and watched the car pull out of the driveway.

Beside him, Kyou gave a small sob, pulling his knees up to his chest. Shuu gave him one last look before getting off the bed. He walked downstairs and locked the door. When he turned to go back upstairs, he heard a door close and hurried back up.

The door to Kyou’s room was closed and he was no longer in Shuu’s room. Deciding to give his brother a little time, he packed up the PS2 controllers and shut off the system. Picking up his diary, he put it back away in the drawer.

After half and hour had passed, he walked to his brother’s door and knocked softly. “Aniki,” he called out, hesitatingly trying the doorknob. It didn’t open.

A muffled cry was heard through the door and Shuu’s heard broke. “Aniki,” he said, loud enough to be heard.

The crying died down and Shuu knew his brother was listening to him. “Aniki, open the door, please. We need to talk.”

There was no answer, only another cry.

“Aniki, I’m going to wait out here until you let me in.” He sat on the floor outside the door, his head resting on the frame and started to hum softly to them both.

If anyone is wondering, I\'m writing these chapters in school. My typing is way too fast and I tend to not look at the screen, only the paper, hence the insane amounts of spelling mistakes.
