The Oasis
\"We\'re going to kill them, sand rats. The lot of them, shouldn\'t be a problem.\" The tall furre mentions as he spies upon a thicket of green trees jutting out of the desert sand not more then a half a mile away
\"When we get there I want you to keep the carriage upon the outside and leave four or so furres to guard it.\" He comments further.
\"Yes, my Lord.\" Responds the one guard, slowing down to now give the orders out to the others.
Not much time later the group reaches the oasis and things then start to play out, four guards being left by the carriage as the others make their way into the thick grove.
The slaves within the carriage would notice as they stop at the oasis, seeing also a majority of the group moving off into the thick greenery. Several minutes would pass by as a deathly silence over takes the small group around the carriage, not speaking at all as they wait for their master. Some muffled shouts would be heard from within the tropical oasis, but would be silenced as again it eerily takes hold once more. Another chunk of time slips by until finally the group emerges from the oasis, one at a time, the leader emerging first. As the others reappear though would be totting four new horses with bags of gear on them. One of the guards pulling a horse along would have a line of blood upon his white robes.
\"Right. To Razzul, it shouldn\'t be far from here.\" The leader announces, looking about for a moment before stirring his horse to a direction and walking off.
Rini looks up out the window as the caged coach comes to a stop. She stands up and leans over to the window to get a closer look at what was going on. Her brow furrows at the sight of the horses and she wonders where they all came from, whether they were deliberately left there. But question is soo answered when she sees the guard with the blood splattered across his chest and she sits back down ignoring the curious questions coming from the other furres around her and leans back, closing her eyes, wondering what sort of a person had bought her.
The day would have dragged on for those that were within the carriage as the group of furres would continue upon their in dead silence. Not speaking at all, but marching ever onward through the sands. Hours would seem to pass, yet still the sun hung within the sky, beating heat upon them all. All around them there was nothing but dunes with the occasional rocky outcrop, plateaus forming and disappearing into the horizon. However, after yet more time, the scared and exhausted looking mouse would give a small yelp, peering a bit closer through the bars of the cage,
\"Umm... I think we\'re getting closer...\" She stammers, sitting back against one corner of the carriage. Indeed, they were now nearing their destination as a city would begin to come into view, though, it stuck out very plainly as there would be a vivid palace laden within the very center. The palace shimmered and caught the sun, seeming to reflect it as vividly as a mirror would, though, the building seemed to be made up of silver from the distance they were at.
Rini wipes the sweat off her brow with the back of her paw, then wipes her paw on her shorts. She was really feeling the heat, just like the rest of the girls in the wooden cage. The air was hot, thick and stale from all the bodies packed inside. Grabbing the bottom hem of her small tank top, she lifts it up and absently fans her face with it, trying to cool herself down even if it doesn\'t do it that well. She jumps slightly as the little mouse squeaks out that they could almost be there. \"Thank goodness...\" she breaths as a wave of relief sweeps over her body at the thought of getting out of the confined space, and she lifts her head to look out of the barred window. At the sight of the huge palace, she had a gut feeling that that was where their new home would be.
\"Ride on ahead and tell those at Razzul that we\'ll be there by dusk... Tell them also of our party and our new merchandise.\" The tall furre mentions, head turned towards the guard that he had spoken to earlier. A nod is given from him,
\"At once.\" He says promptly and gallops ahead, shrinking into the distance. It would be relative to say that by this moment the drinking water that was given to the slaves would have expired by now to not more then a damp moisture about the sack. But, as with the rest of the day, the party of furres with their carriage would stay ever silent, marching forward as the sun would have started its decent towards the horizon some time ago.
