Much Needed Help

Chapter 3
Alex awoke to the smell of coffee brewing. \'Apparently Renny is awake.\' his mind groggilly told him. He opened his eyes to the sight of a beautiful woman in light green pajamas with a cup of coffee held out to him.
\"Mornin\' sleepy head. You fell asleep fast last night,\" She greeted. She sauntered over to the stove where she had started to make scrambled eggs and bacon. Alex\'s mouth was watering and his stomach growled. All he had ever had in the morning was cold cereal, occasionally with the side of a custard filled donut.
\"Smells great. You always eat like this in the morning?,\" he asked, still alittle baffled as to why she was going through the trouble when she barely knew him.
\"No. I\'m not eating this stuff, just made it for you. I figured that you always eat this unhealthy fatty crap. I normally eat bran cereal with fruit and yogurt,\" she replied much to his surprise. \'So she\'s a health nut. Perfect,\' he thought.
After they ate, they walked outside to enjoy the morning sun. Renny lead Alex onto the dock, that was in need of a lot of work. She sat on the old wooden bench on the end and offered him to join her. Renny gazed out over the lake and asked,
\"So, Alex, what do you do in the morning? Go for a run? Watch TV? What?\"
\"Well, normally i go for a swim from my place to the point,\" he traced a path with his finger indicating the route. \"Then, i go to work, well with the exception of yesterday. See on the weekends i like to sleep in but most of the time i forget to turn my alarm off and end up awake at 6, and yesterday that\'s exactly what happened. So after my swim i took my jetski out for a run.\"
\"Wow, very eventful morning. Hey, you wouldn\'t by chance have a teal jetski would you?\" she asked remembering the man who had fallen off the day before.
\"Yeah. How\'d you know?\" He turned to face her, looking confused.
\"Oh well i saw you fall off yesterday. You were chasing a boat and did a donut and flung yourself. Nice going by the way. Don\'t you know that your supposed to lean into the turns?\" Renny giggled at his reaction.
\"Haha. Yes i know that you lean into the turns. It was the boat wake it tipped me over.\" He smiled a little embarassed. She had a lovely smile. The way her lips thinned out and curled at the corners of her mouth made her look genuinely happy and sexy.
\"By the way, do you have someone to redo your dock and do the yard work, or were you planning on doing it yourself?\" he asked, figuring that she wasnt the outdoors, do-it-yourself, heavy-lifting kind of girl. She looked at him and smiled coyly,
\"Well i was planning on doing it myself but sincce you\'re offering, i would love the help. Thanks.\" His mouth dropped open. He had been planning on helping her if not doing it himself but he never expected her to assign him to it.
\"As a matter of fact i was going to start today. First mowing the lawn then planting some flowers, and well since you now have offered to help, i guess that you can mow the lawn and i will go buy some flowers,\" she started to walk back down the dock towards her house. Alex followed trying to protest but he could\'t seem to bring it to words and the fact that her athletic butt caught his attention didn\'t help. She stopped and turned quickly, studying him carefully, she was waiting for him to say something.
\"Ok well i will help you, but first i have to call work and see about keeping you safe. Sound like plan? Also i\'m going to get you some protection and show you how to use it. Give me about 20 minutes and i will help you out, ok?\" Alex replied.
\"Ok. Actually that will be perfect because i need to get dressed anyway and i need to ask Mr. Johnson to borrow his lawn mower.\"

\"...But she needs protection, Jon! Someone is trying to kill her! The same someone who killed her parents 5 years go and tried to kill her then! You need to send someone over to watch her place,\" Alex screamed into the phone. He was furious with his boss. Not only was he not going to send someone to watch Renny\'s house, but he wasnt even going to have someone check in on her every night. He said it was a \'waste of man power\'.
\"Sorry, Alex but how do you know that she\'s tell ing the truth? I mean , for all you know she could be lying to get you to sleep with her. I\'m not wasting my good men on something that may not be real. You find proof that someone is trying to kill her, then we\'ll talk.\" The phone went dead.
\"Dammit!\" He stalked around Renny\'s living room, trying to think. Maybe she would lat him stay with her? Huh, maybe. That would surly get him into trouble. Well it was the only thing that he could do to ensure her safty. At that, Renny walked in the door.
\"Well the lawn mower\'s outside just waiting for you to use,\" she smiled, then saw something was wrong. \"What\'s going on?\"
\" My boss won\'t send anyone to watch your place. Said he didnt want to waste the man power one something that may not be real.\" Alex said with disgust.
\"What?! He thinks i\'m not telling the truth? I saw him. He\'s here Alex and he will come after me sooner or later.\" Renny was horrified. Now what was she going to do.
\"Well, there is one other possibility. I you want i could stay with you for a while. I mean, just until we get the proof that someone is trying to kill you.\"
\"Great!!! That\'s perfect and while you\'re here we can catch up,\" she sighed, relieved. \"Well now that that\'s settled we should get some work done. You\'ll have to earn your keep if you still want me to make bacon and eggs in the morning.\"

It had been a long day and Renny was exausted. She planted flowers until she had to work at noon, Rosie let her off a little early and she was thankful. She went to the hardware store to pick up some things that they would need to redo the dock, then headed home. It was quarter fter 10 when she walked in the door. She went straight to her room and stripped off her clothes. She needed a steaming hot shower and a good cup of tea. She walked into the bathroom and began her evening ritual.
Alex had worked hard all day and needed a shower. He was all sweaty and his muscles ached. He wasn\'t sure if Renny was back yet, he knew she worked till 10 but she told him not to expect her until 11 because of clean up. He walked into his bedroom, really the office, but Renny had a futon in there and she said that he could use it considering he was staying for a while.
He stripped of his clothing with the little strength he had adn walked into the bathroom. He wa so tired, that he was unware of the shower that was already in use. He pulled back the curtain to a loud shriek.
\"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!\" Renny screamed at him. She tried to cover herself but it was no use, her towel was out of reach and she only had two hands. He was staring. She grabbed for the shower curtain and wrapped it around her naked body.
\"I\'m sooo sorry. I wasn\'t paying attention and i just...\" he stammered trying not to stare at her very athletic body. He looked her up and down. Her shoulders were strong and her arms slightly muscular. SHe had to have played a sport. His gaze left her shoulders only to land on her breasts. Her nipples stood erect at the slight touch of cool air and her stomach was flat, almost not flab. He glanced down at her womanly features. The sight of the tangled black hairs covering her lips made him hard. Her legs were the finest he had ever seen and painful to look at. He looked up at her and realized that she had hit him knocking him out of his trance.
\"Um hello! Can i please finish my shower with a little privacy?\" Renny said annoyed. He shook his head and left the room. \'He just saw me naked!\' she thought. \'He just saw me naked!! I wonder if he liked what he saw?\' She started to grin and thought of the perfect way to find out. She finished showering and wrapped her white towel around her. She tip-toed down the hall to his door and knocked. He opened it with a smile.
\"Look. I\'m really sorry, I was just tired and i wasn\'t paying attention and...\" She silenced him with a soft brush on the lips, then pulled her head back to see his reaction. He was surprised. \'So he does like me.\' she thought, satisfied, then taken aback when he kissed her. It gentle at first, then he slowly deepened the kiss, tangling his hands in her soft dark hair. She moaned in approval. She began to kiss back, even harder and parted her lips inviting his tounge to play with hers. Renny rubbed her hands along his muscular arms and along his back, pulling him closer to her. After what seemed like ages, he pulled away from her. He looked deep into her eyes and brushed her hair behind her ear. His lips touched her gently on the neck and slowly moved up to her cheek bone. She closed her eyes and bit her lip. His soft touch was making her wet. She reached down and caressed his muscular butt. His lips began to play with her ear lobe and she could feel his warm breath against her skin.
\"Well, now i was wondering when you were going to finally notice me,\" she sighed. \" I was beginning to think you didnt care.\" He pulled her away to look at her face. His mouth curved into a half smile, then his lips parted to speak,
\"Hm, well now i have to take shower.\"
\"What?\" She said groggily, but he had already left the room. He had left her in his bedroom, naked and hot. \'I\'m going to burn the house down. This is not good.\' She sauntered slowly back to her bedroom and puton her pajamas.
\"If that\'s how he wants to leav it, then two can play that game.\" She settled herself down under the covers, trying to calm herself down. SHe would get him back eventually.
