For the Love of Heavan and Hell

Elijah
had ran after Kain had told him to, fear was flooding him he knew he had done
wrong and had been caught and now all of Hell might be after him for this.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He only hoped that Heaven would be merciful
and let him live. Though Elijah knew
this was foolish to think that. Heaven
frowned on angels and demons together let alone frowned even father on two men
being together. He didn’t know what he
was going to do but he did know one thing he loved Kairan and would do whatever
it took to keep both of them alive.

“Oh
why must this be like this?” he whispered to the air

Elijah
sat down next to the pond in the middle of the park unable to run any
farther. He worried for his lover’s
safety more then his own fearing that Heaven would come down and striking him
dead for what they would call the travesty the befell an angel who was too weak
to fight off a lowly demon. He himself
may have only been a rookie but to them he still should have ‘known better’ but
that much didn’t matter anymore all that did was that they could be together
and alive.

Kain
had been pacing the room deep in thought trying to figure out what they would
do now. He wanted his little brother
happy and if that meant he was in love with an angel then fine. However at the
same time he wondered what was going to happen Kain knew he could only protect
his brother for so much and for so long and even as it was Kairan was walking
on a thin line between living and death.

“What
the hell are we going to do?” Kain
asked for the tenth time

Kairan
sat too lost in though to hear his brother’s rants or to take note of his
pacing. Kairan felt like this whole
thing had been his fault for he had been the one to make the move in the first
place, and yet Elijah had taken him knowing full well he was a demon.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He tried not to think of how it felt to have
Elijah’s arms around him or the sweet sent of his angel no, right now these
thoughts were just to painful as thoughts that he may never see Elijah started
to flood his mind.

“Kain…”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Kairan whispered softly

“Yeah
Kai?” Kain said as he stopped his manic
pacing

“What’s
gonna happen to us?” He whispered
softly feeling the tears fall down his small round face.

“I
don’t have a clue…” Kain whispered as
he pulled his brother to him

Kain
couldn’t even think of anything to tell his brother to comfort him to try to
calm even if for a moment. He held Kairan close and silently ran his fingers
through Kara’s dark purple hair doing the best he could to try to bring some
kind of comfort. Though Kain knew this would
do nothing to truly calm the little demon not when Kairan was worried about the
life of his lover and himself. It
seemed so unfair to Kain that Kairan couldn’t seem to be allowed any kind of
peace why should it matter if Kairan’s lover was an angel why should Hell care?

“I
love him so much…yet I feel like I brought this on him…”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Kairan whispered

“Don’t
be so silly it’s not your fault not at all…” Kain whispered soothingly

“Then
why dose it feel like it is?” Kairan
whispered

“Because
you were the one to first show your feelings…
This would have happened regardless if you or Elijah had been the one to
make the first move.” Kain whispered
softly.

“Elijah!”
came a deep voice

“Yes
sir?” Elijah whispered meekly

Elijah
knew this voice and was now fearing for his life as the head angel stood before
him. He could hear the disappointment
and betrayal in his leader’s voice and yet knew that this man was going to try
to make him stop loving Kairan so he wouldn’t have to die.

“What
is going on with you? This is very
unlike you Elijah.” He whispered

“
I am simply in love sir there is nothing more to it then that.”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Elijah said not looking up.

“Oh
Elijah why must you make me do this to you?”
The man whispered angrily

The
older man looked at the younger angel trying to find a way around what he had
to d because he far from wanted to kill Elijah. Over the many years, Elijah had
grown to be like a son to him and to now have to kill him for his betrayal was
to hard for him to do. Elijah had always
been like this and he knew that something like this was going to happen he knew
from the began of Elijah’s ‘condition’ and had feared the day it showed its
head.

“I
do not wish to die sir…and I am sorry to make you have to do this…” Elijah
whispered softly almost crying

“It
is not your fault that you are the way you are…” The older angel whispered

“What
do you mean not my fault?” Elijah asked
shocked to hear him say this.

“No,
it is not your fault…just as some humans are born with this condition so were
you… so there is no use in trying to hide it for it will not go away.”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He whispered

Elijah
looked at him in disbelief was he saying that Elijah was just simply sick and
couldn’t be helped, but what did this mean was he going to be left to live? Elijah
wondered what he was going to do if he didn’t intend to kill Elijah for if he
didn’t others would be sent to do so in his place. Elijah wanted to ask why this had to be so but he knew the
answer so kept quit not sure if he should even talk. So many questions ran
through his head and worry went back to his little demon lover. What would
happen to him if the angels went after him? Did his brother Kain have what
would be needed to protect Kairan from their grasp as they wished for the
demon’s death?

“I
hate to do this to you but I do not wish for your death so I hear by damn you”
The man whispered

“NO!
Please do not damn me!” Elijah yelled

“Then
do you wish for death?” the man yelled back.

“No,
but please do not damn me!” Elijah whispered desperately

“I
do not have any other choice…” He whispered truing away from Elijah “You are
now a fallen angel…”

“So
the little demon did something right for a change!” Lucifer said with a laugh

“Sir!
What are you doing here?” Kain said standing in front of his brother to protect
him

“Well
I had to see if what that damned Ken said was true, and judging by the look on
Kairan’s face it is.” Lucifer saidstyle="mso-spacerun: yes">

Kairan
griped the back of Kain’s shirt to try to hide from Lucifer he was unsure what
his master would do to him. It seemed
like Lucifer was proud of him but he was wary do to the fact that just last
month this same man wanted him dead for his weakness. Why would this time be
any different why would he suddenly be proud of Kairan for having sex with an
angel?

“My child you don’t have to
fear me at the moment!” Lucifer said
looking around Kain

“But
sir why are you proud of me now?”
Kairan whispered fearfully

“Ah,
well you made an angel fall madly in love you and a male to boot!”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Lucifer said happily

“In
all fairness why dose it matter?”
Kairan whispered trying to sound bold

Lucifer
looked at Kairan his gold eyes not seeming so harsh as he tried to get the
small demon to look at him. He knew why this demon was afraid of him and he
knew it would take more then just an
‘I’m proud of you’ to make him even look at him.

“You
really love this angel don’t you?”
Whispered Lucifer softly

“Yes
sir I do love Elijah…Please don’t kill us…”The small demon whispered softly
into his brothers shirt.

“Kill
you two? No I won’t as long as he becomes a fallen angel then everything well
go fine for you.” Lucifer said with a laugh.

“But
won’t the angel’s try to kill us!” Kairan asked finally looking at Lucifer

Lucifer
could not only hear the desperation in Kairan’s voice but also saw it in his
eyes. He truly did love this angel and saying everything would be fine wasn’t
enough Kairan knew that the angel’s would want their fallen angel dead rather
then turned over to him and so did Kairan. Kairan knew also that the angels
would want the one who turned their fellow angel against them dead too and so
feared for both their life’s.

“What
if I told you I would put a protection on the two of you.” Lucifer whispered

“What
good would that do if he’s already dead?” Kairan whispered angrily

“Well
go find him.” Lucifer whispered softly

Kairan
did not have to be told twice as he ran for the door to go find his lover. He
was deeply confused on Lucifer’s behavior it was hard to believe that his
master was fine with him being in love with an angel it almost seemed like
Lucifer knew it was going to happen or knew the whole time and had just waited
for someone else to find out before he stepped into the light of the
problem. All of this however didn’t
matter at this time what did was finding his lover and praying that he was
still alive.
