My soulmate

Jason woke up with Kevin wrapped around him … literally. It wasn’t unusual, as the smaller boy would always wind himself around his lover in his sleep. And Jason found waking up to the blonde this way so endearing. Kevin would usually mumble a small apology if he woke up before Jason had a chance to slip out of bed, but the dark haired boy would always reassure him that not only wasn’t it a problem, he loved it.

Jason rarely worried anymore if Kevin would leave him. In the beginning he was so scared that the blonde was too young to make such a commitment to their relationship and that it was doomed to fail. How could Kevin be sure he wanted to settle down with someone for the rest of his life when he was seventeen years old and had never been in any relationship at all, straight or gay? Hell, how could the blonde be absolutely sure he truly loved guys at all when Jason was the first person in his life, besides his brother, to care for him? So, though he wanted it to be true with all of his heart, Jason had prepared a small part of himself for an eventual heartbreak. But over the months Kevin had managed to make him believe that their love was very permanent. The small blonde refused to let doubts stand in their way.

And his determination seemed to be infectious, as Jason found himself planning more and more for their future life when high school ended. They had already agreed they would go to the same college together, even if they had separate study interests. Kevin’s lay in art and now computers and that seemed to lead him more and more into the graphics design field, while Jason now found himself being courted by several colleges for his basketball skills. He also wanted to find a school with a good pre-law program, determined to follow in his sister’s path to a family law practice.

His own troubled past was never too far from his mind and he knew early on, even before he’d met Kevin and his brother Brian, that he wanted to find a way to keep what had happened to him from happening to other children. His own parents’ actions sickened him. His mother, who was probably fairly sane before she met his father, had allowed her son to be used as a whore, and that Jason didn’t think he could ever forgive. He was practically a toddler when it first started. He thanked whatever fates had shined on him for having a strong and determined sister like Gina to finally free him. It was merely by a twist of luck that Gina’s father had ever won her in the custody battle during the divorce. Or Jason had no doubt at all that his own father would have broken her, too.

The last letter his mother had sent him from jail was in a small wooden box that he kept in his dresser as a reminder. She’d sent it when he was fifteen and he’d never replied. In it she begged his forgiveness and asked him to come visit her. He saw no reason to grant such a request when she’d denied his own for help when he was too small to defend himself. Why should he care about her now? He’d never let Kevin see the letter but he’d discussed it with him a few times, and the blonde agreed the woman deserved no pity for what she’d allowed to happen. While she’d never actively participated in physically abusing Jason, she’d drugged his juice to make it easier for her husband’s friends to use him. And that made her, as Kevin put it, just as guilty as the others.

Jason marveled at how easy it was to confide these horrible things to Kevin. He suspected that the small blonde’s own past was part of the reason they understood each other so well. Yet it wasn’t the only reason. Jason knew their spirits were kindred and Kevin was the one soul on Earth who would rather die than see him hurt. Jason understood this feeling because he experienced it toward Kevin. It was definitely some kind of fate that had brought him to Kevin’s school in California, of that the dark haired boy was certain.

“Hey,” Kevin whispered sleepily next his ear, jarring Jason back to the present. “Whatcha thinking about?”

Jason smiled and ran a hand through Kevin’s tangled golden locks, pulling him closer. “Just you, baby,” he whispered back as he pressed a kiss to the blonde’s temple.

“Sorry I keep waking you up like this.”

“I keep telling you to stop being sorry,” Jason chuckled. “I love having you this close to me.”

“All the time?” Kevin murmured skeptically as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes with the back of his hand.

“All the time.”

Kevin blinked a few times then leaned in and kissed Jason softly on the lips. It was times like these that Jason lived for. Times when he and Kevin could lazily explore each other and pretend the rest of the world didn’t exist. Jason slowly pulled Kevin underneath him, glad that they’d both slept naked the night before. Okay, they didn’t intend to. They just decided to fall asleep after they’d made love and not bother redressing. Kevin moaned softly into Jason’s mouth and squirmed against him.

“Easy,” Jason laughed. “This time I want to go slow.”

“You always want to go slow,” Kevin whined playfully.

“And you always manage to speed me up,” Jason replied as he pulled Kevin’s arms up over his blonde head and held them there. “But not this time.”

“Trying to be dominant, are we?” the blonde laughed up.

“Trying?” Jason lifted an eyebrow coyly. “I don’t need to try.”

“Hey,” Kevin grinned. “I wasn’t dissing you. I was making an observation.” Then his face took on a serious expression. “You know I don’t mind, right?”

“I know,” Jason whispered.

And he did know. In all of the time they’d been together, Jason had always been the top. Kevin never complained, instinctively knowing that Jason couldn’t get his past out of his mind long enough to let Kevin penetrate him. While he’d let the small blonde ravage his body and his shaft with his mouth, that was as dominant as Kevin could get. They’d never actively discussed it, but Jason knew Kevin understood the fear he felt and never held it against him.

“Besides,” Kevin broke into a sexy smirk. “I think it’s so much hotter to have you inside of me.” His smirk morphed into a wicked grin. “Kind of like I’m imprisoning you there.”

“Imprisoning?” Jason felt his own wicked nature take over. “Like you’re topping me from the bottom, huh?”

“Exactly.”

Kevin reached up and pulled Jason down into a deep and earth-stopping kiss, sucking the taller boy’s tongue into his mouth and engaging it in a heated battle with his own. Jason was only too happy to comply, pressing Kevin into the mattress as he fought for control of the kiss. The small blonde was good but Jason finally prevailed and let go of Kevin’s hands to bury his fingers into silky blonde hair, locking the smaller boy into the kiss. Kevin moaned heatedly and undulated against Jason, who by this time was losing control over another body part.

“Ah!” he gritted out as he blindly reached out to the nightstand for the box of lubricated condoms they’d left there. “You always DO this to me, Princess.”

“I’m going to let that one slide for now,” Kevin gasped through narrowed eyes. “But later on you’re going to pay for that.”

“Oh, I can’t wait,” Jason grinned, slipping a condom onto his hot and heavy cock and slowly inching it into Kevin’s waiting hole. “Gina’s out tonight, you know.”

Kevin gasped again and clutched at his lover’s back as he pushed forward quickly, sheathing Jason inside of him. The taller boy shut his eyes for a minute and held still to regain his composure.

“Oh, no you don’t,” Kevin sang as he began a rhythm.

Jason’s hands shot down to his lover’s waist and held him still.

“Jay,” Kevin whined.

Jason opened his eyes and gazed deeply into Kevin’s, freezing the boy in place beneath him. The emotional storm there was all Kevin could see. The rest of the world faded away.

“Stay still,” Jason breathed.

Kevin nodded mutely and Jason smiled lovingly at him.

“Do you really have any idea how much in love with you I am?” the dark haired boy murmured as he stared down at him. Kevin nodded again. “Really?” Another nod.

“Kevin, all this time you thought I was saving you, didn’t you?”

Kevin’s eyes took on his confusion as he stared back at Jason.

“You mean you weren’t?” he asked in a voice raw with emotion and lust.

“I was,” Jason whispered. “But you were also saving me.”

Kevin was fascinated now.

“How?”

Jason just shook his head and kissed him then began a slow and steady rhythm that frustrated Kevin as it thrilled him. His mind suddenly let go of the question he’d asked as it blanked and became completely centered on Jason. Where it always was. Where it always would be. What was that question again? Kevin couldn’t remember now. He’d have to figure it out later. Jason’s magic hands were combining with the sensation of being filled completely and Kevin couldn’t seem to focus on anything else. Oh, God! The sensation was building. Kevin frantically moved his hips to meet Jason stroke for stroke.

Jason groaned and sped up, and the small blonde shuddered and screamed his lover’s name, clenching his ass as he exploded all over his and Jason’s abdomens. Jason sucked in a breath waiting for his own release, which soon cascaded over him and he shouted Kevin’s name while filling the condom.

“Still need an answer,” he panted as he tried to catch his breath. He smiled as Kevin looked up at him blankly.

“To what?”

“That’s what I though,” Jason sighed as he leaned in for one final kiss before he slipped out of Kevin and pulled off the condom. When he fell back against his pillow he grinned as he found his small love was already sound asleep again.
