Chapter Thirty-five:
“Jamie, I heard from Nicholas that you gave birth to triplets. I raced over here right away to see them for myself,” Demetrius said when he arrived at Jamie and the king’s bedchamber.
Jamie stopped packing and turned around to smile warmly at Demetrius. “Yes I did Demetrius, and they are beautiful. Why don't you come over here and I'll let you see them,” he said.
Demetrius returned Jamie’s smile with one of his own. He walked over and watched as Jamie showed him the three adorable babies sleeping in the crib right next to the bed. Each baby was wrapped in a different colored cloth. “What are their names?” Demetrius asked as he gazed down at the three babies.
“Jeff is the one wrapped in blue, Ana is the one in red and Fey is the one in white,” Jamie answered.
“What color are their wings?” Demetrius asked, wanting to know badly.
“Jeff has black wings like his father, Ana has white wings like you Demetrius and Fey was born with silver wings,” answered Jamie. “If I remember correctly Demetrius, you once told me that you would love to meet a silver winged Zhanthia,” Jamie said as he picked up little Fey and gave him to Demetrius to hold.
Demetrius held the tiny baby in his arms with awe. His wish of seeing a silver winged Zhanthia had been granted by the arrival of this baby in his arms. He felt like a little kid right now. “He is so beautiful Jamie, he looks just like you. He is going to be a beautiful man when he grows up Jamie. You and the king are going to have a hard time keeping him away from all the princes who will ask for his hand in marriage when he grows up,” commented Demetrius.
Jamie laughed. Nicholas came walking in at that moment with the twins beside him. He had left earlier to fetch them as Jamie had requested. As soon as the twins saw the baby in Demetrius’ arms, they ran forward asking to see their little brothers. Jamie picked Ana up and sat down on the bed. The twins stared down at their brother Ana. “Daddy, he is so small!” they both said.
“Yes he is, but soon he and your other brothers will grow to be big and strong just like you two,” Jamie said with a warm smile.
“Then we will protect them until they grow big and strong just like us Daddy!” the twins said with determination, earning them another loving smile from Jamie.
Nicholas picked Jeff up and let the twins see him as well. “He is so chubby Daddy,” they commented when they saw their little brother Jeff. Then they asked for Demetrius to show their little brother Fey to them. Demetrius did as they asked. The twins agreed that Fey was smaller than Ana. They compared him to a small puppy.
Jamie stood up and put little Ana back in the crib. “Nicholas could you and Demetrius watch the twins and the triplets? I want to finish packing before Sebastian gets here.”
“No problem Jamie, we will watch them for you,” said Nicholas and Demetrius.
“Thank you,” Jamie turned around and went back to packing.
Sebastian returned to his chamber at half-past midnight after informing his father of his decision. His father had agreed to return as king, understanding that Sebastian was choosing love over the power to rule a kingdom. They also had a long talk about his dad, who was now back in Sythia. Sebastian’s father informed him that his dad would return to his side in a month. Sebastian was of course happy for his father and his dad. They deserved to be reunited, he thought and told his father so. He let out a yawn right before he entered his chamber to find Jamie asleep with the twins on either side of him, and the triplets sleeping soundly in the crib. Nicholas had fallen asleep on the lounger, while Demetrius was asleep on the chair near the crib. If he had to guess, Demetrius was probably up a few moments ago feeding one of the triplets or changing them.
Sebastian walked over to Nicholas and shook him awake. “Nicholas, you can return to your own bedchamber now,” he whispered, not wanting to wake Jamie and the kids up.
Nicholas sat up half asleep and nodded his head. He stood up and dragged his feet all the way over to Demetrius and woke him up as well. The two then slowly dragged themselves out of their king’s bedchamber. They somehow managed to make it to their rooms without falling asleep right then and there on the floor in the middle of the hall.
Nicholas entered his bedchamber quickly, but stopped short at the sight of Jeffery. The man was leaning against the wall next to his open window, staring out at the night sky. “What are you doing here in my bedroom?” Nicholas all but shouted at Jeffery, no longer sleepy.
Jeffery turned to face him and their eyes met for the first time since the day Jeffery told him that he was making Arian his consort again. “I wanted to talk to you,” Jeffery answered softly.
“There is nothing to talk about. Now leave my room!” yelled Nicholas.
“I will leave as soon as you listen to what I have to say,” said Jeffery.
Nicholas crossed his arms in front of him. “Fine. Whatever you want to say, say it and get out!” he said with anger in his voice.
“Twenty years ago, on that day that we were supposed to be married, I left you at the altar. Not because I didn't want you as my husband Nicholas. I left because I was scared. You were really young and I was the only man that you had ever known besides your brothers. I was afraid that you would regret marrying me when you realized that you really weren't in love with me after all, and that it was just –"
“Stop right there. What are you trying to tell me Jeffery? That you loved me back then but you thought that I didn't really love you because I was just a ten year old kid who didn't know better?” Nicholas cut in.
“You have to understand Nicholas, you were ten and I was in my twenties. Put yourself in my position and you would think the same as me.” Jeffery said.
“If what you said is true Jeffery then I'm happy to hear that you once loved me, but that doesn't change a damn thing. I have decided already on which road I should take. A road that will lead me to a new life that does not include you in it. Sebastian has granted me my wish and in two weeks I will enter the sanctuary for people like me who wish to never marry in this lifetime.”
“Don't do it Nicholas. Don't waste your life away there because of me.”
“I have already made up my mind Jeffery. Nothing you say will change my mind. Please leave my room and return to the man you really love. This time I'm sure that Arian will make you very happy.” Nicholas turned his face to the side It took all his self control to not shed a single tear in front of Jeffery.
Jeffery turned and looked out the window once more. “ On the day that little Ana got kidnapped, Sebastian and Anders agreed that Arian had to die for what he did to Jamie and Caelane. When I told them what I wanted to do for Arian before I took his life, they gave me a month to make his last wish come true. To do that, I have to hurt you once more. I'm really sorry Nicholas, but I owe him that much for what my father put him through.”
Nicholas walked to his door and opened it for Jeffery. “Thank you for telling me everything, I'm glad that we had this talk Jeffery but I stand with my decision.”
Jeffery walked to the door. He stopped in front of Nicholas and cupped his face with both his hands. Slowly he leaned down and gently kissed Nicholas tenderly on the lips. “Please don't waste your life away in there because of me Nicholas,” he whispered softly after he pulled away. Then he left. Nicholas shut his door and leaned his back against it. Finally he allowed himself to cry. “Damn you Jeffery. What about me? You owe me something as well for shattering my heart into a million pieces,” he cried out softly into the empty room.

“Nicholas, are you really serious about spending the rest of your life inside that damn place?” Lawrence asked this early the next morning, when they were on their way to the king’s bedchamber to help carry the heavy trunk filled with clothing for Jamie.
“Yes Lawrence,” replied Nicholas just before he swung the door to his king’s bedchamber open. They were both greeted right away by Jamie and the twins.
“Good morning Nicholas, Lawrence,” Jamie greeted the two with a smile as usual.
“Good-morning Jamie. Lawrence and I are here to take that heavy trunk to the carriage for you.”
“Thank you,” said Jamie, then he went back to dressing the twins for the trip to his home in the mountains.
Nicholas and Lawrence walked over to the heavy trunk and lifted it up with both their hands. They carried it out of the room to the carriage in the courtyard. “You know, I am so going to miss our Consort and that warm smile that he greets us with every time he sees one of us,” Lawrence commented once they were done putting the trunk away in the carriage.
“I know what you mean Lawrence. The boy’s smiles are contagious. I don’t know of anyone in this castle who doesn't love him,” Nicholas commented.
“That's true,” Lawrence agreed with Nicholas.
“Did you get a chance to see the three young princes yet?” Nicholas asked his friend.
“No, I haven't as yet, but I will before they leave. I heard that all three young princes are a sight to behold. Everyone already assumes that they will stir up a storm when they grow up,” said Lawrence.
Nicholas laughed just as Jamie and their king came walking out of the castle with the triplets and the twins by their side. Lawrence didn't waste any time, he quickly asked to see the young princes as soon as Jamie stopped in front of them with the king beside him.
Jamie was holding Fey in his arms and he let out a small laugh and nodded his head. He had been asked several times already today for a peek at the three sons. Lawrence wore a big smile on his face when he saw the chubby baby named Jeff and the cute one named Ana. The one in Jamie’s arms got his attention the most, he gazed at little Fey for so long that Sebastian became irritated.
“Lawrence, I am going to kill you right now if you don't stop staring at my son!” Sebastian warned in a threatening voice.
“Sorry, Your Highness,” Lawrence stammered out.
“Make sure that it doesn't happen again,” Sebastian ordered. Then he helped Jamie into the carriage with their sons. He stepped inside after the twins and closed the door. The carriage took off into the sky moments later.
Andrae, Sebastian’s father stood overlooking the courtyard with the high priest beside him. A smile came to his face. The Zhanthia high priest stood near him and smiled also as they watched the carriage take Sebastian and Jamie away with their children.
“Do you remember the day that Sebastian met Jamie for the first time?” asked the high priest.
Andrae smiled as he recalled that day. “Yes I remember. Sebastian asked me back then why there was a thin red string attached to his pinky and Jamie’s that only he could see.”
"And do you remember what you tell him?” asked the high priest.
“I told him that he had finally met his true love, and he smiled at me,” Sebastian father recalled. “Later on that day, I learned that his fated one was the one who had saved his life."
"You knew that this was going to happen didn't you? That's why you accepted his decision so easily,” said the high priest.
Sebastian father Andrae answered with a laugh. “Yes, and I think that it is the best decision he ever made. To be honest with you, Sebastian was a good king, but he was not the first person I had in mind to be king when I made my decision to give him the throne,” he added.
“Oh? Then who was your first choice?” asked the high priest.
“You will know when he returns,” replied Sebastian father. Then he turned his eyes to Nicholas. “You are not seriously going to let him into the sanctuary are you?” he asked the priest.
“I hate to sever the red string that connects him with Jeffery. If I must say so, one of the reasons why I came over here is because your son Sebastian asked me to have a little talk with him. Your son wanted me to try to talk some sense into that poor man,” replied the high priest with a sigh.
“Well I'm sure that the king of Aria will come up with a way to make up for his stupid decision.”
“Well at least the king of Aria’s love life is not as bad as yours. You were really stupid back then to let the love of your life leave you. You should be thankful that Sebastian’s dad forgave you.”
“Of course I am thankful, but to tell you the truth, I believe that even if we were separated, we would meet again because we were meant to be with each other. That is what I believe. The only thing I regret is that Sebastian and his brother Anders became enemies because of my carelessness. I should have carried out the plan to expose my second consort’s treason more carefully,” Andrea sighed. Then without saying anything further he walked away followed by the high priest.
They had arrived in the country of Siren at noon, and Jamie was more than happy to be back. Right at that moment, the twins were running around in the front, playing tag together while their father cleaned the cottage from top to bottom. He put Jeffery down in the crib with his other brothers and went to make dinner for the four off them in the kitchen at the back. He was chopping the carrots when he felt Sebastian’s hand around his waist.
“Careful there, I have a knife Your Highness!” Jamie warned with a chuckle.
"I missed holding you like this Jamie. When you were big with the triplets, I couldn't even hug you properly," said Sebastian as he nuzzled Jamie’s neck.
Jamie put the knife down and turned around. He put his arms around Sebastian’s neck and grinned up at him. "Your Highness, I know what you are thinking at this very moment. I would love to let you have your way with me, but right now I need to prepare dinner to feed our two grown boys who are running around playing in the front of the house,” said Jamie. “I promise you that tonight you can do whatever you want once the boys are asleep.”
Sebastian bent his head down and kissed Jamie on the lips tenderly. Then he pulled away. “I am going to make sure that you keep your promise to me tonight Jamie,” he said with a wicked smirk, right before he left the kitchen. Jamie laughed and returned to his cooking.
That night, after feeding and changing the triplets and putting the twins to bed, Sebastian carried Jamie into their room. There was only a white curtain to separate their rooms from the small nursery where the triplets slept. He lay Jamie down into their bed, then he reached down and lifted Jamie creamy white nightgown up. He slid his hands under it and up Jamie’s thighs. He heard a soft moan escape from between Jamie lips. Quickly he removed Jamie’s nightgown and his own, and tossed them to the floor near their bed.
He was as hard as a rock when he bent his head down to capture Jamie’s soft lips with his mouth. His hand slid down between Jamie’s thighs and spread them apart. He entered Jamie’s warmth with his finger, slowly moving it in and out of Jamie, and taking his time to loosen Jamie up nice and good for him. Sebastian did not want Jamie to feel any pain since they had not done it for a while.
Jamie wrapped his arms around the back of Sebastian’s head. He pulled away from Jamie’s sweet soft lips and stared into Jamie’s vivid blue eyes. Gently and slowly he entered Jamie’s opening. His breathing turned harsh as he held himself still inside of Jamie. He lifted his head up and gazed into Jamie’s blue eyes once more. “Sebastian,” Jamie said his name with a loving smile. “It’s okay, you can move now.” That was all the permission he needed. He withdrew and thrust into Jamie deeply again and again.
Jamie arched his hips against Sebastian, clinging to his shoulder as he thrust into him deeply again and again. He gave a moan with each thrust he received from Sebastian. He had forgotten how wonderful it felt to have Sebastian deep inside him. With each powerful thrust, Sebastian hit his good spot. He couldn't help but cry out louder in pleasure. Then finally he reached his limit and Sebastian captured his lips, stopping him from screaming out loud as he came. Moments later he felt Sebastian come as well, filling him with his seed. Later they fell asleep with their arms around each other, and content smiles on their faces.

Two days after Jamie and Sebastain arrived in Siren, a very pregnant Theron came strolling into the throne room, his face filled with happiness. "Leon, Leon! My father sent word that my brother Sebastian is here with Jamie and their children. I want your permission to visit them," Theron asked.
“Do as you wish Theron, just promise me that you will be careful. Better yet, maybe we should summon your brother and his family here for a visit,” said Leon with a gentle and loving smile on his face. He touched Theron’s big stomach and felt his child kick him. He laughed and so did Theron.
“Very well Your Highness, I will send word to my brother, asking him to pay us a visit. It has been a while since I last saw him and his consort.” Theron turned around and walked to the door. “Your Highness, when my brother gets here, you must invite him to Kade’s wedding with the king of Sythia, and also you have to ask him about Caelane. If my brother refuses to tell you anything regarding Caelane, then we will go straight to Jamie.” With that said he left.
Leon stood up from his chair and walked over to the painting of his youngest son Caelane. “Oh how I miss you Caelane,” he said softly with a sad expression on his face.
