Te Muan

So looking like my "free" chat would only accept three people at once AND was glitching. Makes me about as upset as could be. I'm grabbing another chat tonight and would LOVE if you would all come along tomorrow morning at the same time, 11am, and try to break it for me. While... possibly partaking in a live chat. The one I'm looking at has a log in but it also has a guest log in that allows you to choose your guest user name so we won't all end up as guest 12345 but no one has to sign up for anything crazy.

This is not the best. But my brain has died and I'm trying to work a chat so it kind of was difficult to focus. I'm going to try and update Partners tonight.

Read, Review and Enjoy.

It took a great deal of time to explain to Mm how to set up the nest. The Sidhe set it up, seemingly unhappy about being kicked out of Rel’s bed, and then moved to the fridge and looked at it, then back at Rel. Rel walked to the fridge and opened it, showing Mm the contents. A hand yanked out the bag of carrots. Mm used his teeth to tear open the bag, sending carrots flying across the kitchen floor. Mm was left holding a plastic bag with a worrisome look upon his face.

Rel closed the fridge and began plucking up the carrots.

It was too much for Mm. The Sidhe whined and dropped to the floor in tears.

He tried not to sigh, tried not to make any kind of disagreeing sound as he gathered up the carrots and put them back to their home in the fridge. Rel handed Mm a carrot and the Sidhe took it, crying as he bit off the end of the carrot and chewing. The Sidhe finished the carrot and ate another three before he sniffled and wiped his eyes.

Mm finished eating as the elevator dinged. A man with greying hair stepped off of the elevator as Rel stood and put himself between Mm and the doors.

“My name is Samuel Koln,” the man murmured, holding his hands away from his sides, “I believe Mari told you I would be visiting?”

“Ah,” Rel let out his breath, relaxing, “I’m sorry, this has been a stressful day and he’s.” Rel looked over his shoulder at the Sidhe, puffy eyed and sniffling still, “having trouble.”

A slight nod, “understandable.”

“What do you prefer to be called?” Rel asked, stepping away from Mm, “Koln, Samuel? Sam?”

“Koln will do,” the other man responded calmly, “may I approach him.”

“It’s your head.”

Koln moved around Rel and approached Mm from the front, so the Sidhe could see Koln. The man tapped his chest and said, “Te Koln.”

Mm sniffed and looked up at Koln. The Sidhe gave a second sniff and Mm wiped his eyes, “Te Muan.”

Rel frowned. That was not Mm had called himself before or any other time. Koln looked at Rel and back to Mm.

“Ehm. I didn’t really think he’d respond to that,” Koln eased himself to the floor, “it’s a Sidhe introduction. Eh…” Koln motioned to Rel, “te Rel.”

“Lel,” Mm, Muan, corrected with a growl.

“Auh.”

Muan’s eyebrows drew down, “te Koln -” and something that Rel didn’t catch as well as a good amount of hand motions. Koln watched the hand motions, frowning as Muan finished with, “te Muan?”

“I think he’s asking why I should be allowed to exist around him,” Koln muttered with a sigh, looking at Rel, “that’s not Sidhe. Not the same Sidhe that Essuan speaks, that’s for certain.”

“His name is-”

“Will change over time. Sidhe names grow longer over the course of their lives. It’s fine. Another syllable or two and his name will grow but you will refer to him as a shorter name. Might just end up being Muan,” Koln murmured, “are there any foods that Muan likes more than others?”

“Not that I’ve … noticed…”

“Try and notice. Now. I’ve noticed that his nest is just a lump of blankets. Which. I find odd,” Koln muttered, glancing at the nest, “considering the fact that I consider a nest a mound of blankets as it is. You should probably sleep in it with him for the first night, just so he knows what its purpose is. The other Sidhe love it, though I suppose considering his… past… the mattress is pretty damned comfortable.”

Rel made a sound at the back of his throat.

“Is there anything you really like?” a moment’s pause before Koln went just a little red, “food wise?”

Rel decided not to make a comment about Koln going red, “chicken and pastas and rice and potatoes and… why don’t I just write you a list?”

“Why don’t you try and create a menu for the next week and we’ll bring that in and then for the next week. The foods we use are completely organically grown and harvested. They will go bad quite quickly. No vegetables that have been sitting on the bottom of the fridge for months on end.”

Rel sighed, “fine. And breads. We both like breads.”

“Fine enough. I will come by tomorrow and speak with you again, bringing with me some food,” Koln stood and brushed his pants off, “goodnight, Muan.”

“Nigh?” Muan looked between Rel and Koln, not understanding.

Koln smiled at Muan and then left. Rel sighed at the silence of the apartment. Muan stood and patted Rel on the shoulder. The Sidhe moved to the nest and bed, looking between the two of them as if not understanding what was going on. Rel moved to Muan’s side and gave in. They had to adjust to real time and the move from one place to another had drained both Rel and Muan.

Rel clicked the remote, turning down the lights to almost nothing, before he crawled into the nest and made a motion to Muan. The Sidhe slipped under the blankets and curled along Rel’s side. Muan let out a contented sigh and seemed to fall asleep almost instantly.
