Character: Dustin Song: Somewhere only we know By: Keane Jack has fallen asleep, his eyes red and puffy from crying. I hate seeing him this way. I wish he’d never shed a single tear because of sadness or pain. Sometimes he seems like a child, someone scared, innocent and in need of protection. I wonder if I’m the one that can provide all of that. I’d love to take him somewhere were life could never touch or hurt him. Somewhere were all of his dreams could come true. Away from that man, who is supposed to be his father, away from the memories that hurt him. I kiss his forehead, and a deep sigh escapes his chest. That man doesn’t know what he is missing, doesn’t know what a great person Jack is. I wish Jack could forget about that man walking out of his life, could forget about the conversation they had this afternoon.
