chapter 3
(Possible chapter 3)
Another three weeks have passed. Aiden was almost completely healed. He could get up and almost not feel any pain or discomfort at all. Sare was a wonderful healer and companion. And today was the first day that he can remember since staying here that Sare was not there with him. But Lady Min was.
“King Ghazi requests can audience with you tonight. I hope your grace is up for it.” The old lady said as she laid down on a nearby table what appeared to be clothes especially for the meeting.
“I have been looking forwards with an audience with the King.”Aiden nodded. King Ghazi has made sure that Aiden’s stay was as comfortable as possible. Granting the prince with everything he had requested. He has never met the King personally, but so far, Aiden has a good impression of him.
“Also, the King had sent out a messenger to your kingdom informing the King of Luxem of your grace’s whereabouts. We have just received a reply today that they are sending an envoy over to retrieve you. They should be here in a couple of days’ worth.” Lady Min said as she headed to leave.
“Someone will come soon to bring your majesty break feast and assist you with any of your needs for today.” She said. Lady Min then curtsied and left the room.
Aiden just laid back into the comfortable mound of pillows and sighed in relaxation, loosing himself with thoughts of his kingdom and the envoy of soldiers that were on his way for him. Most likely Mason was coming with them to assure that they bring him back safely. His thoughts then changed to those of Sare.
With all the time they have spent together, Aiden found himself getting attached to the blond. Sare was so different to him. He was the most innocent person he has ever met and the most endearing. It seemed that the blond was more than willing to serve and give, which is probably why he is an attendant to the King despite the fact that he comes from a peasant family. He found himself looking forwards to seeing the blond every day. Aiden was definitely going to miss him when he departed from this kingdom. He wondered if there was any way he could bring Sare back with him.
Aiden’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard a knock on the door followed by someone, who he had expected Sare, coming in. He sat up.
It wasn’t Sare.
“Good morning.” Lei walked into the room with a tray full of food in his hands. He set the tray down at the table where Lady Min had placed his meeting clothes. Lei’s head was covered with a dark blue-colored scarf, and his tunic was white. His silver jewelry made noise as he walked over to Aiden and knelt down next to him.
“Sare will not be able to come and look after you today, your highness.” Lei said bowing slightly. “But I will look after your every need.” He said, looking up at the prince with a sultry smile.
Aiden has seen Lei very few times, and every time he has seen him, the prince always thought of this one as being very unintentionally sexy.
“I appreciate it.” Aiden smiled back. “Is Sare feeling unwell to not come today?” he asked.
Lei arched a curious fine black eyebrow at the question and shook his head standing. “He is not ill. The King requested his services today.” He walked over to the tray and picked it up again before making his way back to Aiden and sitting next to him once more, “I did promise him to make sure his Highness is well fed though.”Lei set the tray on his lap and picked up a piece of fruit, offering it to Aiden’s lips. “I promise…I don’t bite.”Lei smirked.
Aiden blinked at the offered fruit, confused but took it. For some reason, Lei’s calm and seductive behavior seemed rather dangerous at the moment. “Sare really, really seems to have become fond of your highness.”The black-haired beauty’s smile faded, “He talks about you quite a lot.” He stopped feeding the prince and leaned in to lay one well manicured finger under Aiden’s strong chin. “Let me inform you of something very important, your Highness. Sare is just not a mere attendant to King Ghazi. You see, Sare and I are the King’s very special, personal attendants and King Ghazi will not appreciate someone trying to seduce his little blond attendant.” Lei smirked once more, “So…Prince Aiden…I advise you not to get Sare into any trouble, otherwise, this delicious fruit might come poisoned next time.”
“Is that a threat from the King or from you?” Aiden glared at Lei. He was not very keen on receiving threats. Lei shrugged and set the tray on Aiden’s lap. “Oh it’s just from little old me.” This time he gave Aiden a sweet smile.
“So, would you like help getting ready for you meeting with our beloved King?”
Aiden just stared at Lei skeptically. The prince will have to be careful around this person.
