Chapter 3

A large blaze of fire was emitting from a building in the distance as Kishi skidded to a halt. She gasped in surprise, such a thing have never happened before. She resumed her running, even as several Kitsune were already wielding magic to create water to put out the blaze. Strangely though, besides the fire that burned, ice covered the ground, yet wasn't melting at all. As Kishi neared, a five-tailed Kitsune turned to her. "Kishi-sama."

Kishi frowned, hating to be called 'sama', despite the fact they respected her for the number of tails she had. Worried more about what had happened, she asked the Kitsune. "We aren't sure… For no reason the wall just caught aflame, and the ground become covered in ice… It looks like magic, but none of the other Kitsunes can tell what caused it. No one was hurt though…" Kishi looked to the building and narrowed her eyes. She recognized it as the Forbidden Library, a place not even she with her respect and standing of nine-tails could enter. For something like this to happen was unheard of and Kishi closed her eyes in response.

Suddenly it was as though the world had silenced itself, leaving nothing but the her and darkness. Her magic crept out, responding to the presence of the other Kitsune there, as well as several more heading to her location. Then she felt it, on the edges of her 'range', a source of magic that was moving away… and as though the answer came as clear to her as day, she took off, after the retreating magic. The magic was moving quickly, still just at the edge of her range when it suddenly stopped altogether. As she ran and turned a corner, what she saw surprised her.

Not hearing anything for a few moments, Raijin opened the door a bit and peered outside. Everything looked clear, though Raijin seemed tempted to ignore Kishi's warning of staying inside and search for the fox girl. As he thought about stepping forward he noticed something dark rushing past him. Pulling open the door a bit more, he was able to glimpse at another human-like person running away and rounding a corner. Noticing his state of dress as being something that no Kitsune would wear, Raijin slipped out of the house and ran after the stranger, intent on getting some answers.

As Raijin followed, he noticed the man slow down as he approached a large wall that surrounded the village. Feeling the need to confirm his thoughts, he shouted out, "Hey!" Causing the person to turn in surprise. It was a male wearing black clothing, dark blue hair covering a small part of his face. It seemed he was clearly human, though what he was doing here eluded him. "Who are you?"

"Damn… just when I'm almost there, my luck runs out," the man muttered to himself. Still, what's another human doing here? He certainly isn't King Foz… He's the only human I know that is allowed into this village. His curiosity peaked, he took a few steps toward the man and smiled. "Well, considering you asked so nicely… I don't feel like telling you," he replied. "Though I'm curious to know why a human would be wandering around here… besides myself of course."

"I'm not sure who you are, but…" Raijin placed his hand to his side and silently cursed to himself, his blade having been lost in the woods when Kishi had tackled him to the ground. Something was telling him that this man was dangerous, and his next words confirmed it.

"Well, whatever. I'm here on a mission you see. I'm a mercenary," he said, reaching into his pocket and drawing a card. It shifted and showed a seven of spades. "Interesting…"

"Raijin! What are you doing!?" The man looked up as Raijin turned to see Kishi heading up to them. "I told you to stay inside!" Kishi turned to the man, from whom she felt the fleeing magic power. "And who are you? Were you the one that destroyed the Forbidden Library?"

Raijin seemed shocked as the man laughed. "Oh, very good! I knew using that as a distraction would be useful to me, but I never thought I would have been found out so quickly. Though considering how you two are acting, I suppose it's easy to see how you managed to get here." Raijin looked confused and the man explained further. "You see, surrounding this village is an invisible barrier, completely hidden to the naked eye. This barrier causes anything except a Kitsune to lose its sense of direction and thus keep humans and even animals away from the Kitsune Village. If she guided you here, then I suppose that would explain how you managed to get in." Raijin suddenly recalled the tingle he had felt during the course of Kishi dragging him along.

"Then how did you get in here? And how do you know about it," Kishi demanded.

"I make it my business to know these things fox girl. But I've spent enough time talking to you…" Even as he spoke, the sun was beginning to set, the sky turning a fiery orange glow. Taking three more cards, he threw them, the cards flying with amazing speed. Both Kishi and Raijin dodged them, but even as he did, Raijin could feel a slight cut forming on his cheek. He held his hand up to it to rub away some of the blood as Kishi took charge, running up to the man as he threw more cards.

"Fox Fire!" The tips of Kishi's many tails caught aflame as she twisted around, swatting away the cards and setting them ablaze, before they crumbled to ash. Her tails made a 'flinging' motion as the fires shot out towards the man before merging and becoming bigger. The man held up a card, which grew in size, showing a queen of spades before the fire struck it, serving as a shield for the man. The card disappeared after being struck causing the man to reach into his pocket.

Pulling out two dice he smiled at them. "I really hate to cut this short… believe me, I'd love to test my luck on you, fox girl. But there is a time and place for this, and this is neither. Curse Dice!" He threw the dice, watched them both hit sixes. As Kishi tried to rush after him, both dice glowed before there was a explosion, engulfing her in pain as she was caught in the blast.

"Kishi! Are you ok," Raijin asked as he looked her over, unsure what to do now, seeing as he was weaponless. In the smoke, the black-clothed man drew another card and placed it on the nearby wall. The card glowed and expanded, creating another hole though which he was able to escape before it became a solid wall. "Kishi, wake up! If you can hear me, answer! Please be ok!"

"You should hope for your sake she will be, human." Raijin looked up at the voice and realized he was surrounded by several Kitsune, no less than four spears now aimed at his throat should he try anything. He looked to see the smoke having cleared, the other human gone. Raijin was roughly pulled up, spears stilled aimed at him. "Place him in the Elder's Castle, and keep a watch on him. Get Kishi-sama to her home and alert the Elder to what has happened. He'll know what to do with the human." Raijin looked back for the man he saw, even as the guards now lead him away to whatever fate might befall him.

"Hey!" Raijin looked up to see Tsune fighting the crowd to reach Kishi and, perhaps, him. But before he could let her know anything about what had happened, he was already too far to be heard.

Hours had passed since Raijin was confined to a spare room inside the Elder's Castle, the largest building in the Kitsune Village, where the Elder stayed and where he apparently ran things. The only reason he knew this was because it was well past evening, the glow of the moon the only light allowed within this place, coming from a window that was much too high for him to climb up to. He looked up into the stars, innocently twinkling down at him as though mocking his predicament.

Merely twelve hours ago he was just another hard worker in a dead-end place going nowhere. A simple encounter, a small change of pace into what he truly desired and he was here, trapped deep within the Kitsune Lands, perhaps waiting to be killed. He had only heard stories about what Kitsune did to people, but from his meager experience with Kishi and Tsune, it didn't seem like many of the stories had much merit. Still, there was always a darker side to everything, and he was close to finding out what it was.

The door opened, showing two Kitsune guards, each with spears. Without a word, they motioned for Raijin to come with them, and he did so willingly. If anything, he hoped he could prevent himself from incurring their wrath further, maybe even be granted a quick and merciful death. It wasn't a lot to hope for, but he was trying not to suffer. Soon they came to a large room with several mats on the floor. Sitting in front of them was a very old Kitsune, eight tails fanned out behind him. Simply by entering Raijin could feel something in the air, his power radiating from him. The guards stopped at the door, and waited. "Sit," came the command from the Kitsune before him and Raijin hurried to comply. "Explain why and how you came to be here."

Immediately, Raijin began his story of him searching for a rare flower, deciding it would be safer to leave out Luna, and running into Kishi and Tsune. How both of them had talked and Kishi dragging him into the village and sneaking past the guards. Of visiting Kishi's home and then the disturbance in town. "I see… so Kishi went to investigate and…"

"I went out and saw… someone. Another human." The Elder said nothing as the guards looked to each other. "He was strange… he used this kind of magic or something. And then Kishi came and fought him but he got away. Please, you have to believe me, I didn't hurt her!"

"Calm yourself human… I do believe you." He made a motion with his hand and the guards opened the door once more. Raijin turned around before being knocked onto his back from a tackling hug.

"You're ok! I'm so glad!" Kishi smiled as she hugged him tightly before letting go and bowing before the older Kitsune. "Thank you Elder-sama!"

"Of course," the Elder replied, before drawing their attention again. "Human, as you were technically invited into this village, I cannot object to the fact that you were brought here against your own will. However, very few humans are allowed into our village. Only two have ever earned that right. If you wish to continue to stay here or be allowed back once you leave, you must perform a task." The Elder stood up, letting his robes touch the floor as his tails rose with him. "We Kitsune are a proud race, quick to anger yet easy to please. We do not forget acts of wrongdoing towards our village, yet at the same time, those whose actions benefit us are greatly rewarded. "

"I'd love you help you with anything, but… I'm not sure what I can do…"

"The task I have set for you is a simple one. You see, we Kitsune are not the only race here. Far to the east, in another forest lay the citizens of the Nekune Kingdom. The Nekos there are a rather friendly bunch, and I have heard that they interact with humans more commonly and frequently then we do. I do like to keep correspondence with the Neko King there, and therein lies the task. I am sending you, Kishi, to visit the King there with something. I ask, human, that you watch over her. Strong though she may be, the quickest way is through the Human Lands and who better a guide through them than an actual human?" Kishi seemed to perk up at the idea and Raijin breathed a sigh of relief at the fact that he wouldn't have to die. "Please use this as a learning experience Kishi-san, to understanding humans better. There is still far too much we don't know about them."

Kishi rose and Raijin did as well, as the two guards came behind them. "Human, there will be quarters for you here to rest. Kishi, I suggest you head on home as well and get some sleep." Raijin missed the look of disappointment on Kishi's face, though the Elder caught it with a firm glare. Kishi quickly wiped the look from her face; strong and respected as she was, Kishi knew that she was no match for the older and more powerful Elder, even if he didn't have as many tails as her. As they both left with a single guard , the other turned to the Elder. "Did you search for the human?"

"We did. We searched all the way up to the barrier. There was no sign of any human there," the guard reported, leaving the elder to sigh. His white tails began to move about as though sensing the presence of everyone in the area. "Is it possible that they made up the human being there?"

"I see no reason why Kishi would lie to me about this, especially for someone whom she met for the first time. And the human's story matches well with hers, so I see no reason to doubt it either. Nevertheless, I am surprised that anyone managed to make it to the village like this… Even if the human knew about the barrier, to be able to penetrate it is not an easy task. Only one person in my lifetime has ever managed to get through the barrier unaided… A long, long time ago."

"Elder?"

"Please watch over things. I am nearing my 800th year and I'm not going to lie. I have been feeling a bit weaker in my old age."

"Please do not say such things Elder…"

"Nevertheless, perhaps it is time for me to choose a successor. Kishi is strong, yet she also lacks wisdom and resolve. Perhaps in a few hundred years she would make for a fine leader but…" The Elder turned away and motioned for the guard to leave. "For now, we must determine why the human came here and for what reason. Humans are capable of senseless violence, I have seen that evidence myself. But this was not some random act of destruction. Something serious is going to happen…"

Kishi held a new spring to her step as she walked home from the Elder's Castle. The damage to the Forbidden Library was fixed and her testimony about what happened, as well as her confession to bringing Raijin into the village, helped ensure his safety. Now she would be traveling with him into the Human Lands. Though she knew the Elder was serious about using this opportunity to learn, she couldn't help but feel giddy about the fact that she would get to see more humans.

Upon entering her home, she was immediately assaulted by a hug from a teary-eyed Tsune. "Oh Kishi-chan, your ok! I thought you were really hurt, and then the Elder wanted to see you and I was afraid that he would be mad about us bringing a human into the village, and then the human was taken away and-,"

"Tsune," Kishi had to yell to calm her friend down. "It's ok, the Elder isn't mad. He believed what I had to say." And so she began to tell her what the Elder had asked of her and Raijin, journeying to the far east to meet with the Nekos. "It's going to be a fun trip."

"So your leaving then… but… oh Kishi…" Kishi bit her lip at the sight of her friend's emotional state. They had indeed been friends for countless years, the tail difference never seeming to affect their relationship as friends. Yet now Kishi would be leaving, for who knew how long, while Tsune had to remain in the village. Deciding that what she needed most of all was something memorable to help her, Kishi leaned in and gave Tsune a strong, yet passionate kiss. Almost immediately she responded, letting her tongue slide out to play with Kishi's, both dancing together as they explored each other intimately.

Kishi guided Tsune to the bedroom, where she laid her down onto the mat. As she gazed up to her friend with a questionable look Kishi only smiled. "It's ok. Besides, I promised right?" Kishi proceeded to take the initiative, asserting her rather forceful nature as she began to kiss and lick at Tsune's neck, her hands coming up to cup at her friend's breasts. Tsune could only give a low moan to all the attention she was receiving, already submitting her will to the more dominant of the two foxes as Kishi continued to lick down her body, teasing the supple flesh of her breasts, lavishing them with her tongue before taking one of her nipples into her mouth. The motion was such that Tsune couldn't help but give a louder moan as she felt her best friend and lover suckle on her breast like a newborn, while her hand messaged and groped the other breast.

As she switched between breasts to caress with her tongue, her other hand snaked its way down Tsune's stomach before arriving to its prize. A ghost of a touch and Tsune felt her hips rise up to her touch, her body arcing up to receive more of that feeling as fire burned deep inside of her. Kishi began to rub her fingers up and down Tsune's outer lips, feeling the moisture gather there as she pressed her finger against her friend's clit. Tsune gave a cry of pleasure as lightning seemed to course through her from a simple touch. The pleasure was such that she didn't notice Kishi had abandoned her playful want of her breasts and began to lick lower. It was only when she felt her friend's warm breath against her most sacred place that she realized what was going on.

Tsune could feel her body leave the ground as she felt that rough tongue push its way into her, licking and thrusting like some kind of weird living thing that was hell-bent on pleasuring her. Groans and moans of pleasure were all that seemed she was capable of doing as Kishi worked her magic, her tongue hitting all the right places inside of her that made Tsune squirm with pleasure. Kishi herself continued with equal vigor, eager to taste Tsune's sweet nectar that was flowing from her. Though despite the act of pleasuring her friend, Kishi herself couldn't deny herself some much needed satisfaction as one of her hands was rubbing her own sweet lips, honey dripping down onto the floor, as she penetrated herself with a finger. Tsune could finally take no more as Kishi moved in for the kill, lightly biting down on Tsune's clit causing the two-tailed fox to shriek in excitement as her body left the floor once more. Sweet honey flowed out of her, coating her friend's face before Kishi pressed her mouth over Tsune's lower lips, sucking eagerly to draw out as much of the blissful, addicting juices as she could from her friend.

Tsune finally having hit her peak, was now panting for breath, trying to gain back some sense of self. Sweat was covering her body as she grew used to the pleasurable sounds of her friend lapping at her, wanting not to waste a single drop. When Kishi finally pulled away Tsune looked up in time to see Kishi eagerly stroking a very hard, nine-inch penis protruding from her groin. It was the effects of a spell, created centuries back when a previous Elder, a female, had mated with another female in order for them to still bear children. It also served, though few would ever hope to admit to it, as a 'last resort' measure should the population of male Kitsune drastically lower. For now though, it was simply a tool of magic that many female Kitsune used to prepare themselves for taking on future mates, or even used in some 'playful' fun with other females. As was the situation at hand.

Even as she placed the head of the engorged member against Tsune's lips, neither had fear of what was to come. This would not be the first time, nor the last, that they had engaged in this sort of activity. "Please, Kishi-chan… please…" Tsune practically begged and was rewarded by Kishi's swift thrust, pushing half of that pulsing member into her best friend. Both let out moans of satisfaction, Tsune at the feeling of being filled by something so pleasurable and Kishi from the feeling of having her magically enhanced member being squeezed tightly by warm folds of flesh. Pulling out only slightly, she thrust in again, pushing more of her member into her lover. Each time she pulled out a little more and thrust in another inch until finally Kishi had hilted inside of her friend, every last inch of her flesh stretching against an unyielding passage. Both were sweating profusely now, but both knew that the fun was only now beginning.

Lifting Tsune's hips up and licking her lips in anticipation, Kishi pulled back slightly before thrusting in again, causing Tsune to cry out. The new position was able to hit Tsune much deeper than before, and it wasn't long for Kishi to build up a steady rhythm. "More! Harder Kishi-chan! Pound me harder!" Fully into the submissive role, Tsune's begging spurred Kishi on further, trying her best to comply with her best friend's pleas. Kishi's tails began to wrap around Tsune's breasts and her own, squeezing them while two other tails began teasing both of their clits.

"Tsune-chan! Tsune-chan! I can't! I can't hold it!" It was the final warning she could barely let escape from her mouth before one final thrust buried her entire length into her friend, the throbbing pole intensifying in heat and motion. Mere seconds after Kishi experienced orgasm, Tsune's was triggered at the first feeling of that warmth exploding deep inside of her, pouring into her womb. Both clutched tightly to each other, grinding their hips together to prolong the feeling, unwilling to let go. Tsune's own stomach was starting to bulge slightly from the overwhelming load Kishi had poured in and when the feelings finally subsided they both collapsed against each other, Kishi's member vanishing, the magic no longer needed. The sudden disappearance of the obstruction in her pussy, allowed an overflow of cum to escape from Tsune, the bulge in her stomach receding and more and more seed was extracted. Both continued to pant for breath as the afterglow washed over them neither worried about the chance for Tsune to get pregnant from their activities as they were not mated to each other, neither having marked each other at the peak of ecstasy.

Kishi gave Tsune a peck on the cheek and snuggled with her friend. "Thanks, Kishi-chan…"

"Anytime, Tsune-chan."
