Jay returned to his office after the meeting. He saw that the door to his office was slightly cracked open and he raised an eyebrow seeing that Starr wasn't in her desk. He set his left over food on his desk and soon found a sleeping Starr on his couch. He wondered if he should wake her up but she looked all peaceful sleeping.
Starr moaned and rolled over her skirt riding up on her ass revealing the edge of her rainbow panties. She slowly woke, and turned seeing a figure across the room, "Baby...come back-" Then she stopped realizing she wasn't at home. Sitting up quickly she straightened her skirt and fixed her hair, "I'm so sorry boss, I didn't mean to sleep so long! It's my mistake it'll never happen again." She said and bowed her head, shamed that she'd messed up on the first day.
"It's....It's quite alright I mean you haven't eaten or anything.." he said as he moved some paper's around trying to keep himself distracted from what he was feeling at the moment. He didn't know what to do with himself he had the slight urge to just lock the door and have his way with Starr but he was going to keep it professional, well at least try. Even if his body didn't want to cooperate with his mind.
Starr jumped and hurried out of the office, then came back in, "You have three messages, you need to go down and sign off on the shots chosen for the Suicide Inc feature. Then Dolce and Gabbana called about sending over skirts. Then lastly, some girl, Kendall, called angry that you didn't call her." She said then looked up at her boss.
Jay sat down on his chair as Starr came back with his messages. He had to admit she had done better than his last secretary had on her first day. "Right, they didn't say anything about having someone bring the papers down here?" he asked as he played with a pen. "Once the skirts get here can you drop them off with the head of fashion downstairs?" When she mentioned the name Kendall he raised an eyebrow. "Kendall? I don't remember a Kendall..." he said trying to remember. She was probably one of his one night stands. He watched Starr jot down his instructions and hurry off to work.
The shots arrived in a few minutes, she took them and she took them into Jay, "Here they are, you just need to approve them and sign off, and then I'll take them back up to publishing to be put in The Book." She said placing the folder on his desk and leaving the room as the phone rang.
Jay smiled at Starr as he took the photos looking at them all. He couldn't concentrate on the photos. Even if he was looking at beautiful models his mind was still on Starr, which he curse himself mentally for. He glanced out at her answering the phone, how had he gotten so spell bound so quickly. After about fifteen or twenty minutes of looking out at the city from his window he went back to the photos he signed off the ones he liked and put them back in the folder.
He walked out to Starr’s desk and gave her the folder, "Anything else apart from that call from Kendall?" he asked, as he looked at her.
Starr took the folder with a smile, "No sir, I hope you don't mind I ordered a bit of lunch, it should be here shortly. I notice you brought lunch back with you...would you like to eat together in your office? That way I can still answer calls but we don't have to spend our lunch break alone." She said with a sweet smile, and typed something on the computer.
Jay smiled and said, "Alright," he thought about her question for a moment and said, "Sure that would be nice." he said softly with a smile. "I'll wait for you in my office than." he smiled at the tranny.
Starr took the folder to publishing, introducing herself to a few people and then excusing herself she headed back upstairs to find a white bag on her desk, "Yummy Lunch." She said and grabbing the bag she headed into her bosses office, "Ok...reporting for lunch." She said with a joking smile.
Jay only chuckled as he sat down on the couch and said, "I haven't lunch with anyone in a while." He almost always ate lunch alone he was either too busy or didn't have the time to actually enjoy lunch with anyone else. Or he'd go to lunch with someone and have to leave for another emergency at the office. So sitting here with Starr was nice.
Starr smiled, "Well then I'll be here every day, we can have lunch together whenever you want." She said sitting next to him and taking out her sandwich
Jay smiled and said, "Together..." under his breath as he twirled his pasta on his fork.
Starr looked sideways at him, her breath caught as she heard him, but she brushed it off. She would not sabotage her happy life...perfect was ok. She ate her sandwich, trying to keep her mind off the man next to her.
Jay tried not to look at her but he couldn't help every now and again just to look at her for a few seconds. His mind going back to her as he tried to block it all but failed. He could sense that she was trying to keep something off her mind, he wondered what it was. "You alright?" he asked after a while, his icy eyes looking at her for the first time in a few minutes, he really liked how warm hers were un-like his.
Starr looked up at him, about to say she was fine, but something in his stare stopped her. The tranny looked back down at his sandwich, "Is it wrong to feel that your life is too perfect?" He asked softly, his green eyes filling with guilt.
Jay looked at her he knew what she meant, "Well, from what I've learned with my past. Life isn't perfect nothing is ever perfect. There's always one little flaw that makes it un-perfect.....But if it makes you feel better I know how you feeling." he said truthfully.
Starr looked at her boss, "I’m pretty, have a beautiful apartment, and now a great job." She put her food down, "but part of me is restless, like I need to create a problem...to sabotage it all. Cause I thrive off the risk, the chaos...that's why I survived as a whore." She said looking away from Jay, not quite sure why she was so comfortable telling him all this.
Jay kept his eyes on her, he desperately wanted her to look at him but she kept turning away. He finally decided to turn her head towards him so he was looking at her and said, "I have a successful career, a nice mansion, I can have anything I want in the world........Yet I, like you, want something else, something more dangerous than the little 'perfect' world I've created for myself." he said feeling absolutely comfortable with her.
Starr looked up into his eyes, his touch sending a shiver down her spine, "Looks like we have more in common than a love for fashion." She said and moved away before she did something stupid.
Jay only smiled softly as he looked at her and said, "Guess we do..." Sighing softly as she turned her head again. He really loved how warm and green her eyes were compared to him, but she wouldn't look at him for more than a second. He hated the silence they had again, but he didn't want to force her into anything although he could sense it in her aura, and she could probably sense it in his as well. He wasn't trying to hide it anymore, since he was so desperately trying to block them.
Starr could feel it strongly now, the tension in the air could be cut with a knife. He couldn't breathe; his heart was pounding in his chest. The tranny finished her lunch and stood, "I should get back to my desk." She said and walked past him her bare legs brushing against him in the small space as she hurried from the room.
When he felt her leg brush up on his knee something in him just made him want to get up. "Wait Starr..." he finally said as he grabbed her wrist softly, something in him not wanting her to leave. He couldn't take his perfect life anymore he needed some excitement something different from the everyday lifestyle he had. His ice like eyes just looked at her he didn't know what to say, and whatever he was feeling at that moment just made an impulse and he kissed her softly. He realized what he was doing but it was too late he had forgotten about everything, he need danger in his life.
Starr looked up at Jay, wanting to pull away, but not wanting to anger her boss. She was thoroughly shocked when he kissed her. But after a moment of being tense she melted against him, heat coursed through her body along with a rush of adrenaline. One hand slid through his hair, and then the she remembered her promise to herself. The tranny pulled away, "I-" She couldn't really form words; she rushed off to her desk.
