Moban: Part 2

Here's the rest of the first chapter. I am in the process of writing the next. Enjoy. Oh and thank you, my one reviewer. I appreciate your compliments.

“Is that a promise you make to all your clients?” Moban asked bluntly, grabbing Cadences hand quickly, his grip tight. Cadence fought a small wince and Moban softened his grip, running his thumb over the back of the younger mans hand. “Those other men are not me. Don’t think worthless promises are something I want to hear.”

“I don’t make worthless promises. I don’t promise anything,” Cadence murmured, pulling his hand away from the older mans, moving the other slowly up Mobans chest to his shoulder, pressing the length of his lithe body against the other larger one. “But I do know the others aren’t you…but if you want to hear something, why don’t you let me know what that might be.”

Moban stared at Cadences face, bewildered though he was careful not to show it. The smirk and seduction was gone and in its place was a new mask of emotion. It was fairly uncanny. He had a feeling that this young man had long forgotten what he looked like with all his masks stripped away. It was extremely sad.

“Not a much of a mind reader, are we?” he asked, shaking his head as he pulled away from Cadence, leading himself up the stairs knowing the younger man would follow. “But apparently neither am I. I don’t even know your real name. Do they simply call you Angel?”

Cadence frowned faintly, brushing stray hairs from his eyes as he followed the golden eyed man up the stairs. Hardly anyone of his ‘customers’ ever asked for his real name. They didn’t care and he didn’t care to give it to any of them as it was. But to this man, he felt obligated to give up that one piece of him he normally kept hidden.

“It’s Cadence,” he said softly, his lips moving spilling the words before his mind had even decided on what to do. He felt shocked with himself and stopped in the hall, keeping his face blank to hide his confused turmoil.

Moban stopped as well, turning slightly with a gentle smile on his face. “That’s a unique name. My name is Moban, if you cared to know.”

The two continued down the hall until they stopped in front of a pair of large oak doors. He glanced at Cadence, frowning slightly.

“There are extra bedrooms so if you don’t go home tonight you’re free to use one.”

Cadence blinked and lifted an eyebrow quizzically. This was a new development as well. But an oddly pleasant one. He felt a flutter of genuine amusement rush up through him and felt his lips curve into a small smile, a laugh escaping before he could prevent it.

The sound was gentle as butterfly wings.

“You are new at this,” he mused out loud, though the amusement faded quickly sorrow on it’s heals. The pale smile turned into a sad one, though only a glimmer before it faded completely.

He was always careful not to let himself smile, at least not while he lived this part of his life. He’d feel better when the night was over and he could go back to his other half, the one where he was just Cadence and not the ‘Silver Angel’. He could now, now that it was finally paid for.

Moban broke his thoughts by speaking.

“Not everyone is the same,” he said softly. “If this was regular for me I wold still treat you as a guest in my house.”

Cadence lifted his pale ruby gaze to the other mans face. It was obvious he was being serious, or so it seemed. He felt a rush of resentment flood him as he looked away.

“You’d be the first,” he muttered dryly, his voice darkening. His red eyes grew cold and icy in the darkness of the hall. He looked down, tucking strands of hair behind his ear. “I know you didn’t just bring me here to act civilized,…Moban.”

He smirked dryly, remembering the auction. “I saw your friend with you at the auction. You can act well, but you’re just like the rest. You heard what your friend said and wanted to know if it was true. You’re just another who wants to be able to say they’ve had the ‘Angel’.”

Cadence sounded disgusted, though his face was filled with dark amusement and loathing. Moban shook his head, shrugging his shoulders.

“You’re here because I paid for you to have sex with me,” he said bluntly. “it’s not for points. It’s simply….to forget. I haven’t assumed anything about you, so please, do not assume I do this to be like them. If you get too involved with the details as to why you’re only going to end up hurting yourself even if it’s only every few weeks…months or whatever.”

“You’re wrong about that,” Cadence purred, walking up to Moban, the darkness gone followed up by a heated look. He curled up against Moban pushing them both into the room. “You’re a little liar, saying you’re not assuming anything about me. But I guess I can forgive that.”

“So you want to go through with it?” MOban asked, his voice growing slightly husky, one arm wrapping around Cadence’s waist possessively. His eyes grew darker, hungrier as he watched Cadence pull away.

The younger man sat on the large bed, slipping out of the leather jacket and vest in one graceful movement that left him bare from the waist up. He crooked a finger at Moban, his red eyes hooded and fiery.

“I’m here to make you forget, right?” he purred, his tone low and sultry. “So let me do it.”

Moban smirked to himself, lifting his eyes, shutting the doors behind him.

“IS that so?” he chuckled, shrugging out of his own jacket and loosening his tie. “well, I gave you the key to freedom and you chose to stay caged my little bird.”

Yes it’s short, but this is the end to the first chapter. Hope you enjoyed it.
