Chapter 3
I wake up to my alarm clock going off. I had to go to school but not in this condition. My body was sore still and I still can’t breath right. I was going to skip today and get my work from Alec. Alec is one of my friends. He was in all my classes except for gym class. My plan was simple I had to make it look like I’m going to school for my parents. Then I will hide out in the woods. I have to wait for Anthony and my father go to work in the fields. Also I wait for my mother go to work in Ravenstone city which was a good 30 miles. I would used my cell phone that Blade give me for my birthday to call the school to pretend to be my mother to say I’m sick. I would call Alec get my work I missed and meet me at are secret hiding places. I got up slowly to get out of bed. The pain in my side almost made me fall to the floor. I slowly walled almost stumbling to my closet and find a pair of jeans and a jacket to go over the shirt I was wearing yesterday. I pack my backpack with my dairy, cell phone, some stuff I will need thought out the day because I wouldn’t be able to get back into the house until my mother got home at 4 tonight. I walked down the hall to the bathroom when I was done I went to the kitchen to grad some breakfast. My mother was drinking a cup of coffee while she reading today newspaper. She looked over her newspaper at me.
“What are you doing?” she asked me. I place the bowl I got out on the counter.
“I’m going to school mother” I said while I was getting box of cereal from the pantry.
“You are not going to school today” she said. I looked at her in shock.
“Because I don’t want my handsome to go to jail because of you bitch” she said.
“Alright” I said. She put her paper down. She picked up the phone and dial.
“Hello this is Mrs.Taten, My daughter Jinx is sick and will not be making it in” she said.
“Could you send a tutor here right now because she going to be out for at least 2 weeks” she said
She hang up the phone and looked at me. She picked up her purser and took her key off the hook.
“The tutor will be here at 9 clock and you told him that you and your brother were fooling round and that how you get a black eye” she said.
“Alright mother” she said.I heard the fornt door shut. I also heard her car started and drive off.
