*I hate everything about you, why do I love you…?*
A sharp light annoyed Shoji, but he didn’t want to open his eyes. He felt comfortable, despite the bothering light. He lay, soft and warm with a nice sleepy feeling. Was this heaven? No, it couldn’t be. He’d committed suicide after all. But it couldn’t be hell either… Where was he then? Slowly he opened his eyes and he became utterly surprised. What he found himself looking at was a white ceiling. As he looked around he saw furniture’s and a few painting on the white walls. He lay in a bed with white sheets and from behind the white curtains, in the big window, the sun shinned through. Shoji found himself in a hospital room. He was alive? How was that possible? He could have sworn he saw the tunnel and all and he remembered the incredible feeling of life slowly leaving his body, so why was he here now and alive? Shoji wanted to lift his arms to see the cuts, but he quickly found out that his right arm was held down by something. Shoji looked down himself and he discovered the reason why he was still alive.
Aki woke by and gentle hand nuzzling his hair. As he opened his eyes it clicked. He’d been locked with the dark eyes many times before and felt something, but it was only now, now that he’d feared he would never ever see them again, that he realized just how much they meant to him and how much the person behind them, really meant to him. For minutes they just stared at each and one sentence kept repeating itself in Aki’s mind: I love him, I love him, I love him…
“Why…?” Shoji suddenly asked. Aki snapped back from his thoughts.
“What?”
“Why did you save me? I wanted to die!”
“No you won’t…” Aki said coldly.
“Yes I will!!” Shoji lowered his voice.
“No you won’t and ya’ know why? Because I’m your friend Sho, that’s why you can’t die and that’s why I saved you!”
“Who have ever said anything about being friends? I’m nobody’s friend…” Aki looked at Shoji. Trying to find one single spark of friendly emotion, but there was none. Aki felt the tears pressing, he had to get out. There was no way Shoji could see him weeping.
“Well, I was wrong then, I thought we had something” Aki rose and with a final look at Shoji, he walked towards the door, “Oh yeah, sorry for saving your sorry ass, it won’t happen again…”
A week later Shoji returned to the mansion. He had taken the buss home, no one had been there to pick him up and no one had even visited him. Mrs. Haruka – his mother – was there to welcome him home.
“How DARE you show you’re face here, you filthy boy!!” she shouted the moment Shoji walked in the doors, “do you have any idea of what you’ve done! It’s ruined! My perfect kitchen, my life, it’s ruined!! Covered in your dirty blood!! Oh, I wish you had died!!” Shoji closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He had woken with a terrible headache this morning and his mothers hysterical shouting didn’t make it any better. He walked towards the stairs, ignoring the continued yelling with words he wouldn’t think of.
“So do I…” Shoji whispered, mostly to himself.
“I HATE you with all my heart!!” This was the last sentence Shoji heard from his mother that month.
As Shoji reached the top of the stairs he caught eye of Aki and Ashley talking, down the hall. Ashley saw him and grinned.
“Welcome home Shoji! I can’t say we missed you… We actually hoped you wouldn’t survive, but I can see you did, how unfortunate…” Ashley sounded rather amused. Aki didn’t say anything. He just looked at Shoji with those eyes. Those eyes that made him fell guilty for some reason.
Shoji rolled his eyes and sighed. He was really not in the mood for “chitchatting” with Ashley or Aki, for that matter, all he wanted was to be left alone, all he really wanted was just to dig a deep, deep hole and disappear from the surface of the earth.
As the door shut behind him he collapsed down the wall. He buried his face in his hands and tried to rub away the headache – without any luck. Suddenly his body began shaking. Something it did from time to time when it had been long between the drugs. Shoji rose, with some difficulties, and found two joints in the back of the wardrobe.
By the fifth blow, he felt how all the anger inside him slowly disappeared. His anger for his mother, Ashley and his surprisingly strong anger for Aki. It was just now he realized just how much he actually hated Aki. To think that he ever feared he was in love with that guy… How stupid. The guy was an asshole. Just saving him without any warning and then stab him in the back, like this? That was how he felt. Stabbed in the back.
Shoji tried to shake it of. Why did he think about it that much? Such things never seemed to bother him before…?
It was almost midnight, when Ashley had finally left him alone. Aki crashed down on his bed with a deep sigh and let his thoughts wander.
How the heck had this happened? Just a few weeks ago he had been like a hand in a glove with Shoji, now he couldn’t even look at him without feeling disgusted. Where did that sudden anger come from? Oh yeah, now he remembered. Shoji had said they weren’t friends. If they hadn’t been friends, what the fuck had they been then? Aki were sure they’d been more than just fuck buddies. Or so he thought. It hit Aki that Shoji might’ve seen it differently. What exactly did Aki mean to Shoji? No matter how much he hated it, Aki had discovered, at the hospital, that he actually loved Shoji and always done it - in some weird way. But right now, he wished he’d just let the guy die, that’s what he wanted after all, right?
It was a relief to get to school after two weeks. Finally Shoji could let go of what had happened and concentrate on something else. His classmates acted normally around him, they’ve might been told to do so or they didn’t know what had happened at all, either way Shoji liked it. The only thing that wasn’t like before was Aki’s coldness towards him, no, he wasn’t just cold, he ignored him completely and somehow it annoyed Shoji a whole lot.
He’d been back in school for some days when Katashi, one of his closets classmates approached him.
“Oi Sho, I was wondering.” He said in a low voice, “Is something wrong between Aki and you? You seem very tense around each other and never talk…” Shoji looked shortly at Aki, standing in the other end of the class talking and laughing with some of the girls, and then he looked back at Katashi.
“You ask me?” he said bitterly, “Try and ask him, he’s the one ignoring me.”
Aki looked at Shoji. He was talking with Katashi. He’d done that a lot the last couple of days. Katashi even managed to make Shoji laugh now and then. Even though Aki, on purpose, ignored Shoji, he still kept a very awaken eye on him. And damnit, he couldn’t help feeling slightly jealous! When he saw him being close to others! Why!? All he wanted was to forget all about Shoji and move on, but it isn’t easy when you live in the same house and go to the same class every day! Plus Aki’s body betrayed him. Every time he looked at Shoji for more than ten seconds he felt hard, his entire body longed for Shoji’s, like it had become addicted to that skinny, pale, silky and extremely beautiful body of Shoji.
The gym classes were the worst. Aki hated them. He was totally exhausted at the end of every class it took a lot of strength to prevent himself from just jump at Shoji and fuck him senseless. He knew that one day he wouldn’t be able to hold it back.
Damn, even in his dreams Shoji was there - making everyone of them wet.
All Aki wanted was to hate Shoji, why was that so damn hard?!
(I Hate) Everything About You (Aki)
Every time we lie awake
After every hit we take
Every feeling that I get
But I haven’t missed you yet
Every roommate kept awake
By every sigh and scream we make
All the feelings that I get
But I still don't miss you yet
Only when I stop to think about it
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you
Every time we lie awake
After every hit we take
Every feeling that I get
But I haven’t missed you yet
Only when I stop to think about it
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you
Only when I stop to think
About you, I know
Only when you stop to think
About me, do you know
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you
You hate everything about me
Why do you love me
I hate
You hate
I hate
You love me
I hate everything about you
Why do I love you
