You Can't Handle the Truth
I know it pains you to see my pain
You flinch involuntarily at my grimace of ache
You've convinced yourself it's your fault if it rains
But it's my world now and their my mistakes
Do you really want me to share?
Surely there's an easier way
I know how much you care
That's exactly why I won't say
I hurt I cry I sting I try
No mommy can be there forever
But won't you please tell me why
You care now when before you said never
I know it would please you to see me pleased
You can't help smiling when you see me grin
It's not my choice to keep you teased
It's just my own dose of original sin
