chapter 3

It’s been a whole week, a whole week and not even as much as a word from him, Sabrina thought while washing her face in the common bathroom inside the studio facility. She knew she was the last one there, so she hid in the bathroom, Sabrina didn’t want to see him leave, she hated seeing him leave, especially if she was around, it was stupid but it felt as if he\'s walking away from her. Her life hasn’t been pleasant these past few weeks. Especially after what Frank said two days ago, well, she felt like she cant do it without her kids in the upcoming holiday, if he didn’t let her take them with her to her grand parents she will end up in a madhouse or something.

Suddenly Sabrina couldn’t hold it in anymore she started sopping really hard, sinking to the floor, she cant let him control her life like that, she missed him so much but she has to let go for good, god it hurts just thinking about it, its enough she will be staying at the only place they were really happy at, she knew he loved her once. But it’s still hard living without the only person who you were ready to follow across the globe, now it seems like he’s enjoying torturing her, by the creepy silence she’s been living through.

She was crying really hard now she didn’t notice the reason of her misery entering the bathroom and looking her with surprised and confusion, shit, he thought, I hate it when women start crying, damn, it’s a like a lethal weapon.

“Sabrina?”

She looked up and started crying harder. He stared at her then he said,” you didn’t really think that this only way to get me to let you have the kids this holiday,” he regretted his words when she stood crying and looked at him as if he just stabbed her.

“What do you want Josh?” she whispered, her voice not really helping.

He looked at her maybe she will not put much of a fight.

“Well I was thinking. You want the twins, fine take them with you.”

Did she hear him correctly? “You serious?” he sat next to her, the closest he was since like ever, she looked at him and said “But?”

“I am going with you.”

“What?” she asked disbelievingly.

“I don’t want to miss more time with my kids; you stole enough time from me already, so we’re all going together, I called Dave and he said that they have enough room and that I’m welcomed. So don’t worry about them,”

He stood up gave her his hands, she took hesitantly, he helped her up and she brushed against them then they just stared at each other, and she swore she so longing there but it was gone, he turned around without even looking at her and left

She just stood there, not believing what just happened.

Suddenly his head popped through the door “Ginny left and asked me to give you a lift, that’s why I was looking for you, apparently she caught Tommy staring at the new model, I was glad I wasn’t in his shoes at that second.” In addition, he smiled, he actually smiled at her, Wow she forgot how beautiful it used to be, but his face changed again.

“Hurry up I don’t have all day.”

She stared after him then sobered and hurried after him, not even washing her tearstained face.

Women are wired beings, can’t they use any other way of making a man feel helpless except tears and screaming and …. Well tears, Josh thought glancing at Sabrina while keeping an eye on the road.

“Now can I ask why you were crying back there?” he asked directly.

“I wasn’t feeling good.” She answered staring out the window, cant he just let it go.

“Alright, then maybe now that you’re feeling better, you can enlighten me with why you weren’t feeling good?” he pressed.

He did not know why he wanted to know, he knew he should not even care but it was bugging him, he did not want to ask why but he did not like seeing her crying like a broken bird.

“Life gets the better out of you sometimes.” She still did not want to look at him.

“Sabrina, I don’t like word games, just answer my question.”

“Why is it important for you to know?”

“I don’t know Rina maybe because I don’t want you around the kids like that.”

Oh, that hurt. “Well maybe you should mind your own business, besides, why do you care?”

Well of course I do care.
He couldn’t really mind his own business, he just had to know. Well maybe he’ll find out next week, she can’t get away forever now can she.

“Fine Rina, you don’t have to tell me. But at least if you have a problem, you can talk to me you know.”

“YOU want me to talk? To YOU? That should be fun.” She said ironically.

“Is this your time of the month?” he asked half jokingly, not liking what she said one bit.

“You are an asshole.” She stated.

“Yeah I know, who’s he?” he felt angry as if someone is trying to take what is his, he well duel on that later.

“He, who?” she asked innocently.

“Your Sitting on the floor in the studio’s bathroom crying. Come on there’s got to be a guy”

“Why do you care?”

“Oh. Come on just answer the question” he turned to look at her but she looked away immediately.

“Frank, Frank Anderson.” She spoke slowly staring out of the window.

“I beg your pardon.” He said coldly.

“What?” she asked not really wanting to know.

“Well he’s rich and famous, like a pretty boy, and you expect my kids to like him, no way”

“I like him. We have mutual interest. We respect each other.” She said reasonably looking at him.

“Hamm, ok”

“What?” she asked surprised.

“You told me once you well never love someone else.”

“You throw that across the wall.” She said with a little sadness in her voice, turning back to look out the window; they were nearing the school now.

“No, you did, you’re the one who walked away,” his face-hardened with the anger that was still there.

“You just don’t like to think that I am not like your mother.” She said quietly ending the conversation.

A few minutes later he stopped the car in front of the elementary school. Sabrina turned in time to see two dark haired kids running after each other, screaming.

“Mommy, Daddy, Lucian took my Barbie.” Honey said crying; Sabrina got out of the car looking at her little girl then picked her up.

“Mom said your not suppose to take it with you to school.” The other twin looks mischievously at his sister.

“Lucian gives your sister her Doll back.” Josh said in a father like voice.

“But Mom said...” He said pleadingly looking at his mother.

“Lucian gives your sister her Barbie back and get in the car now, both of you.” Sabrina added looking a little tired; putting honey down. He was just like his father.

Honey got in first looking at Lucian with triumphal while stroking her Barbie’s hair. “Is Daddy going to have dinner with us?” she looked at her fathers wishing he would. “I want you to see my new dress, mommy said I look beautiful in it,” she said happily.

“No you don’t you look like a fish.” Lucian retorted

“No, I don’t.”

“Yes, you do.”

“No, I don’t.”

“Yes, you do.”
They spent the whole ride arguing not realizing how thick the tension in the car.

Sabrina had a huge headache. When they got to her apartment building, she needed to move, this place is not for the twins, they are energetic to the point of madness, and this place is not helping.

“Mom why didn\'t dad come up?” Lucian asked a little puzzled. “Dad said he will go to granny and grandpa’s with us this Christmas. But didn’t want to have dinner with us, he never comes here, mom, doesn’t he like it here?”

“No, sweetie He just he has work to do.” Sabrina said kindly she was hurt he did not want come up with them, but he seemed a little distant and he never comes up unless to the door to get the twins in the elevators, well maybe frank is right.

“But daddy is going to have dinner with us at grandma and grandpa?” Lucian persisted.

“Yes Lucian he well.” She said in an assuring way not knowing what else to say.
