Chapter 3
Sorry I haven\'t updated in so long...I haven\'t had the inspiration to. I have received one new review! I need more if I am to update often.
~*********!*********~
Hazzard walked in the small coffee house. He had seen it a week ago and planned to stop by. When he opened the door and walked in he hadn\'t planned on seeing the boy that had crashed at his place in that coffee shop. At first he only saw the boy. He didn\'t pay attention to the other guy asking what he wanted or the lady eyeing him. He only saw the boy, Hikaru.
Hikaru gawked at the man. Why did he show up here, where he worked, of all places? Did the man plan this? Or was it by coincidence? He stared at the man as the man stared at him. The smooth smile he had as he walked into the coffee shop had slowly disappeared. Hikaru couldn\'t see or hear his friend\'s questioning looks and questions. All was focused on the man, Hazzard.
They continued to stare at each other until a smirk replaced Hazzard’s gently gawking look. He returned to his smooth, overly confident style. Hikaru\'s eyes widened and he looked away and started cleaning the counters. Hazzard walked up to where Hikaru was behind the counter.
\"I would like a regular coffee, please,\" Hazzard spoke just as smoothly as he looked in his white clothing with black trim. White was a good color on Hazzard; it went good with his tanned skin. He wore handless gloves that went up high on his arm, white boots with black parts, a black collar, white sleeveless shirt that cut off at the bottom of his chest, and worn looking black pants that were tucked into his boots.
\"Dai, will you get it for our customer? I\'m busy cleaning,\" Hikaru turned briefly to Daisuke and turned back to the counter. Daisuke stood there for a moment then slowly started to move to make the coffee.
\"No! I want you to make me my coffee...Hikaru,\" Hazzard spoke coldly with a firm tone. He WAS going to get to this boy. Daisuke stopped and moved back to where he was next to Ruri. Ruri was only watching what was going on in interest. The man that was telling Hikaru to get him his coffee obviously knew the boy and Hikaru obviously didn\'t like him. In normal conditions he would have stood up for his friend, but when he looked into the eyes of this man he could see he was not one to be reckoned with.
\"Why do you want me to do it? I\'m busy cleaning, are you blind? Daisuke is perfectly capable of getting you your damn coffee!!\" Hazzard winced at Hikaru\'s harsh tone.
\"Because I need a reason to talk to you. Damn, are you still mad over such a trivial thing are you?\" Hazzard\'s voice had softened. Hikaru eventually sighed and started making the man\'s coffee.
\"Yes, I am. You don\'t have to be so rude to laugh in my face!\" His voice was defending as he handed the man his coffee. Hazzard sipped it slowly, chewing over what the boy had just said.
\"I\'m sorry. You were just so cute and innocent. I couldn\'t help myself...,\" the man trailed off gently, now his eyes were softening.
Both Ruri and Daisuke were wondering what they were talking about and how they knew each other. Hikaru was about to speak when Ruri piped in, \"Hey, you, with the tail! Who are you?\" Hazzard shot her a dangerous glare and growled.
\"My name is Hazzard and I do not enjoy being referred to in that manner, miss...,\" He had a dangerous tone and spoke with fake respect.
\"Ruri, I\'m a friend of Hikaru\'s and you already met Daisuke. How do you know Hikaru, Hazzard-san?\" Ruri\'s tone was just as dangerous and soaked in sarcasm just as much as Hazzard\'s. She was challenging him.
\"He crashed last night at my house. I believe he was running from a couple of friends...Those, by any chance, wouldn\'t be YOU would they?\" He challenged her back. A war was starting between them; two controlling personalities colliding.
\"So you\'re the one that he was all flustered about this morning?\" Daisuke cut in, ignoring the sparks flying between them. The remark of the boy that had stayed the night getting flustered about him when talking to his friends made him forget the war going on between him and the girl. Ruri on the other hand was annoyed with Daisuke that he would interrupt the war. Hikaru grew red as a cherry and felt as though he could die right there.
\"What?\" Hazzard\'s voice was of surprise and interest as he asked to make sure he had heard the boy right.
\"Daisuke!! That is not true!! Hazzard, don\'t believe what he says! I was mad! That\'s what he saw on my face!\" Hikaru piped up as soon as he could regain his voice from shock.
\"Yeah, he was talking about staying at some guy\'s and when we asked he started blushing and trying to say it doesn\'t matter,\" Daisuke said calmly and matter-of-factly. At the same time Ruri was smirking and nodding. Her smirk was sly. Hazzard started to smirk too and turned to Hikaru.
\"So...you are getting embarrassed to talk about me now?\" He walked towards Hikaru, staring him down. Hikaru found himself blushing and backing up.
\"N...No!\" Hikaru mentally cursed his shaky voice and glared at Hazzard. He continued backing away even though Hazzard was stuck on the other side of the counter and not moving any closer Hikaru still felt as though he was being cornered.
\"Be careful or you\'ll run into the wall and hurt yourself again,\" the man said smoothly. Hikaru quickly turned around and looked at the wall behind him and glared at Hazzard. Hazzard laughed again and turned. \"I got to go, see yah around, kid,\" Hazzard snickered.
\"What? You walk in, harass me and then leave without saying sorry? You\'re such a jackass!\" Hikaru glared with hatred. Hazzard continued walking but stopped at the door.
\"You\'re right, I am a jackass...but have you ever thought that you provoke me? You take everything seriously, you’re too naive. I can\'t help but make fun of you. You shouldn\'t take everything I say to heart. My insults are jokes, but I guess I take them a little to far don\'t I?\" Hazzard paused and looked to the floor to the side of him and continued, \"I\'m sorry if I hurt you, Hikaru-kun.\" Hazzard walked out of the place when he was done talking. It left Hikaru silent glaring at the door.
The rest of the day was quiet and uneventful.

I will add more to the story later, I just need a break. Please hang on and review!
Dark Angel - Thank you so much for reviewing! I\'m glad you liked it and you inspired me to start this chapter! If you like this story you should also read my other story \'Rem\' ^.^-
Actually Hazzard isn\'t supposed to laugh so much. I guess he laughs so much because he feels comfortable around Hikaru. I\'m not sure how to explain why he laughed a lot; it\'s not like him, really. Maybe he was just tired. You know when you get too tired and act all weird? He won\'t laugh so much in the future. Does that help?
Thank you everyone else that read my story, and once again I say: Review!! Let yourselves be known!
