The King's Concubine

River Forest was hard to maneuver for people who did not know the terrain. It was quite simple, if people really thought about it. It was called ‘River Forest’ for a very plain reason. It was entirely surrounded by water. Sure, there were a few shallow ends, there was even one straight piece of land that lead to the center of River Forest where the visionary and her friends lived, but even that was covered by ankle deep water. One wrong step and a person would find themselves fully submerged in water, tree roots fighting to keep the person under, and darker things hiding ready to tear out the souls of those who were lost.

Serena could travel through the River Forest with her eyes closed. She knew every inch of the lands, and exactly where to step. Orphen had made sure she had known it, keeping his one promise to the woman whose daughter he had made one of his slaves. Serena would be able to visit her mom, and Orphen would not just leave her to find her own way through.

Serena enjoyed the sight of the mossy trees and the stray birds that hid amongst the branches, watching with clear eyes as the gentle blonde traveled through. Serena felt the cold water lapping at her ankles, and felt the slight suction the mud was giving to the bottom of her shoe. It seemed the ‘bridge’, or so the straight piece of land to the center from the castle was called, had been traveled over a bit more frequently recently. The mud only came up when many feet had traveled across it.

Serena paid no mind to the mud or the cold of the water. She only kept her mind on the visit to her mother. She was thrown off guard when something came from the trees, something dark that grabbed her around the waist and pulled her high into the branches along with him.

Serena let out the bloodcurdling scream that had boiled into her throat, right into the ear of her would-be attacker. A furry hand went over her mouth and the other trapped her against the thick trunk of the tree. In a matter of seconds her lips were undertaken by a mouth full of fangs, and Serena, closing her eyes gently, reveled in the kiss and licked the sharp points of the wolf-boy’s fangs. She maneuvered her body so he could press himself closer without risk of falling from the tree, and the two entangled themselves in a warm embrace.

“It has been too long since I have seen you, Miss Terra,” he whispered into the girl’s neck, breathing in the intoxicating scent of woman. “You do not come to us enough any more.” He ran his long claws through her silken hair and could not resist putting his nose to it and inhaling the fresh scent of her innocence that was dripping off of her.

“It is harder and harder to come here, lately,” she said by her only means of excuse. “You scared me, just pulling me off of the path like that. I thought that a true monster was coming to attack me.”

She looked hard at Hanzori, his face covered in the deep black fur of a wolf, and she smiled, seeing his perfectly human eyes glitter at her from behind the fur. Hanzori was one of many were-animals that had been trapped in half-form forever due to a curse brought on to them by a powerful elf. Many suspected it was the king himself, however Lena did much to squash that rumor, and what the visionary said, many listened.

“I am a monster,” Hanzori said, not sadly. He was relishing in the fact that he was furry and knew how to use that to his advantage. He loved being the bad guy, the dweller of the River Forest that picked up innocent girls and ravaged them, though he had never done such a thing, he looked the most formidable.

“To anyone who asks, I will make sure they think so,” she said to him, and began to push him back a bit. “I do not have much time, Hanzori, I must see my mother.”

She swung her legs over the branch and looked to where would be the safest place to jump. She saw a shallow spot and prepared herself to leap.

“You smell of him,” Hanzori snapped, his large canines slurring the words of his anger. “Why?”

Serena looked back to the man who had claimed his love for her, and still waited to take her underneath these very trees and make her his forever. She shuddered at the thought of having his cubs. Would they be human, like he once had been and she mostly was, or would they come out with fur and be banished to the River Forest as well? She loved him, but that love was still shaky.

“He nearly choked me to death in the gardens today,” she said, only telling half the truth. He never would have killed her, she knew it, Lena knew it, but the rest of the forest still wondered. “He was not happy to hear mother’s latest vision.”

Hanzori laughed and leapt from the tree, landing with a grace that most men never learned. Serena jumped after him, trusting him to catch her, and he did, holding her tight in his arms against a broad chest. She wondered what it would be like to make love to him in the shallow waters of the pathway, with the birds and monsters watching from the trees, with the chance of elves traveling for Lena’s latest vision. She wondered what it would feel like to have him plunging into her, his claws raking against her skin, leaving marks that she could later show to the king. She enjoyed the thought, and nearly said it, but Hanzori was already placed her back down, her feet ankle deep once more in the river.

“That vision has been around for a while,” Hanzori told the innocent girl, but she no longer was listening. The urge to feel him against her was growing too deeply in her body. She pulled him to the tree and trapped herself against him and the tree trunk, her lips swallowing his in a breathless kiss. He gave up little hesitation and had his paw-like hands pulling away the bodice of her dress to reveal her milky white breasts. He grasped them hard and with an urgency that he felt underneath his pants, running his hands over those mounds and squeezing. She moaned in pain and pleasure beneath his lips, only causing her to want him more. She pushed her hips and pelvis into his and he grinded into her in return.

“Hanzori, you are right,” she muttered to him, tugging on the waist of his pants. “It has been too long since I last saw you, but just the right amount of time for me to want you to take me.”

“You want to do it here? Now?” His words were shocked, and he almost sounded appalled, but it did not keep him from fondling her breasts, and he did not stop her from pulling his pants down and releasing them to the waters, allowing her to take in the full length of something too large for her innocent body.

“Yes,” she hissed, and started to fall to her knees, wanting to put her lips to that head for just a moment before she had him plunging into her.

It all would have happened just like that if the young couple did not hear the clearing of a throat from the path. Both Serena and Hanzori turned their heads to look over at a magnificently beautiful figure draped in black and silver robes, with red hair flowing to her ankles, her violet eyes shining at the young ones.

“Mom!” Serena shouted, hurrying to stand and pull her bodice back around her body.

Hanzori, less embarrassed but still not willing to take advantage of a woman’s daughter right in front of her, pulled up his pants in a mild amusement. “You have the worst timing, Miss Lena,” he snarled.

“I do not believe my daughter came to have a sexual relationship with you, today, she needed to see me,” Lena said in a stern voice, though she never lost her smile. “Come on Serena, let us go back to my place.”

Serena hurried to catch up with her mother, leaving her almost lover behind… for now.
