Competition

Competition

Jason sighed happily and closed his eyes under the warm sun. It was even nicer today, than it had been on Friday. Ignoring what was left of his lunch he waited for Andy to come back from getting a soda.

He’d spent the rest of his weekend studying for finals this week and listening to his mom talk about her date with Rich. He seemed like a pretty decent guy from what his mom had said. She and Jason’s dad had spent a lot of time with Rich in college. They’d been an inseparable trio, until Mom and Dad had started dating. The trio fell apart little by little and by the end of college, they barely saw Rich at all. She’d been surprised to see him at the mall, but they’d quickly picked up right where they’d left off. Jason smiled, glad his mom was finally dating a little again, especially when it was with such a nice guy. Jason didn’t want her left all alone when he went away to college in a year.

He heard soft footsteps, but didn’t bother opening his eyes, figuring his was Andy returning. What he didn’t expect was for a shadow to fall over his eyelids and a soft weight to settle over his belly. His eyes flew open to meet curious green eyes. He blinked and realized it was his friend Anna sitting over him. “Hey Anna,” he said warmly raising up a little on his elbows.

She frowned softly and murmured, “Funny rumor going around right now Jason.”

He blinked again and flushed lightly. Already? “Oh?” he asked nonchalantly.

“Rumor has it you’re out and maybe even dating Andy,” she said softly. She leaned down a bit, her eyes filled with hurt. “Why didn’t you tell me first Jason? We’ve been friends longer than you and Andy.”

Jason flushed, ashamed that he hadn’t even called her about it. Of course Fletcher and Jackson would spread the word. “I’m sorry…I kind of knew already…but everything happened this weekend. I swear I was going to talk to you about it…I just got kind of distracted,” he said apologetically.

“Everything?” she murmured sitting back. She pushed back her soft brown hair and frowned, “What does that mean?”

“I don’t know…I guess I just finally admitted it to myself, and well Andy was there and all,” he said with a blush.

“Oh Jason please say you didn’t rush into anything,” she said in a worried voice. “You didn’t sleep together did you? I know this is probably a very confusing time for you, but I can’t imagine that what be the best choice at this point.”

Jason flushed red and stuttered, “N-no we didn’t have sex…we just kissed a little and you know…fooled around a bit. I swear it wasn’t anything serious…I mean he’s my best guy friend. I couldn’t ruin that.”

She sighed and relaxed. “So you really are gay huh?” When he nodded she smiled and rolled off him on to her back. “Well I suppose that explains why you never hit on me.”

He snorted. “What, you’re irresistible now? Remember I’ve seen you with snot hanging out of your nose. You’re like the coolest sister in the world…you go home at the end of the day.” He grunted and laughed when she elbowed him. “Would it bother you if Andy and I did end up dating? I mean it’s not for sure…he might be interested in someone else or I might meet someone nice…but the possibility is there.”

“It’s okay with me. I just want you to be happy.” She was silent for a moment then sighed. “It may not hurt to date other guys anyway Jason. You might discuss that with Andy.”

“It’s okay, Andy heard,” said Andy’s voice from a few feet away. They both sat up and blushed lightly at being caught talking about the other young man.

Jason was a little startled to see another teen next to Andy; hands in his pockets and looking rather relaxed. He was gorgeous, almost pretty. His build was slim and lightly muscled, black hair framing a delicate face, with almost feminine lips and pretty blue eyes. He smiled warmly at Jason and held out a hand. “I’m Evan Jordan,” he said softly.

Jason jumped up and took Evan’s hand, “Jason Christensen.”

Evan nodded. “Yes we have art together. It’s nice to finally meet you though. Your art is amazing.” Jason blushed and asked him which pieces belonged to Evan that he might recognize. The two spent the next ten minutes discussing their favorite pieces, while Andy settled next to Anna.

“What are you up to Andy?” she murmured in his ear.

“I’m giving him options love,” he murmured back. “I care about Jason and I don’t want our friendship and his exploration to get twisted around into something neither of us recognize. Let him explore a little if he likes and find his own way.” Andy had to admit that the notion of introducing Jason to others had stung a little, but he knew that their friendship was a pretty big barrier to Jason comfortably discovering himself. Maybe they could pick up again later when Jason knew what he wanted and what he was…when he’d grown into himself.

***

Jason heard a young man’s voice call his name and he turned to see Evan waving at him from the end of the block. Did Evan live around here or had he followed Jason towards home? He stopped and waved, then waited for Evan to catch up, panting slightly and a little flushed. “Hey Evan. Do you live this way?”

Evan shook his head. “No, but I work at the deli over there,” he said pointing to a little deli that Jason and his mother frequented. Jason was beginning to wonder how often he’d overlooked the pretty young man. “I was just heading over to get my pay check. I’m glad I caught up to you though.”

“Oh?” Jason asked, his stomach fluttering a little. Evan really was very attractive. He wondered if Andy had introduced Evan as a friend or as a possible partner for Jason. Jason had to admit that if it was the latter he was a little pleased with the prospect, though he’d definitely settle for the former. Evan was a lot of fun to discuss art with and his cheerful personality made Jason smile.

Evan blushed a little, “Andy said you were out now…and I was hoping maybe you’d like to see a movie or have dinner with me sometime soon.” He looked at the ground and kicked at the curb a little. “I mean we don’t know each other that well…but I’d like to get to know you better…if that’s okay with you.”

Jason swallowed, his belly fluttering nervously. “S-sure. I’d like that a lot Evan. When do you want to go out? Maybe this Friday we could see a movie? School will be out and finals will be over,” he said shyly.

Evan nodded. “Yeah, Friday would be great.” He pulled out his cell and waited while Jason told him his number. “Great,” he said putting his cell away. “I get off work at seven. I can come pick you up after that and we can hit one of the later movies.” Jason nodded and Evan smiled, cheeks a bit rosy. “Well I have to get over to the deli before my manager leaves, so I’ll see you at school tomorrow?”

“Sure. See you in art class,” Jason said and waved as Evan hurried across the street. Jason sighed and smiled foolishly, fighting a nervous laugh that threatened to bubble out. He pulled out his own cell and punched in Andy’s number as he started walking towards his house.

“Hey!” Andy’s voice said a few seconds later over the phone. “What’s up?”

“I just saw Evan on my way home,” Jason said, grinning foolishly.

Andy laughed at the sound in his friend’s voice. “He’s stunning and sweet isn’t he?”

“Yeah,” Jason said then hesitated. “Andy? Is this okay?”

“You hooking up with Evan?” Andy asked. “Sure, that’s why I introduced you to Evan. He’s a sweet guy, only recently out him self. I know it was freaking you out a little fooling around with me, so I thought Evan might be a better option for you. Besides when I mentioned you to him this morning, his eyes lit up like crazy. I think he kind of has a thing for you.”

“Yeah?” Jason asked, fighting the urge to giggle like a little girl. Evan was the kind of person Jason knew he could connect with instantly. “Andy? I kind of like him too…but I don’t want you to think I didn’t like being with you. Everything we did was awesome.”

Andy chuckled softly. “It was, wasn’t it? Don’t worry about me. I have my sights set on someone right now anyway. If things don’t go well for you with Evan though, I’ll be here if you need a little something to tide you over.” He paused when Jason laughed. “Hey, I gotta get some dinner going for my little sister. She has a recital tonight and Mom and Dad won’t be home in time for dinner. See you at school tomorrow?”

“Yeah,” Jason said.

“Oh! Hey, do you have a date set with Evan?” Andy asked quickly.

“Yeah, Friday,” Jason said blushing a little, even though Andy couldn’t see him.

“Yeah? That’s awesome!” Andy said. “Well, hey, good luck. Gotta go. See you tomorrow.”

“Bye,” Jason said and flipped his phone shut. He took the steps up to his door in two big leaps and flung the door open. “Mom? You home yet?”

Jennifer peeked out of the kitchen, “Good afternoon sweetie. I got off a bit early today.” She smiled as he picked her up and hugged her hard. “Jason, my God, you must be in love…that or you need to cut back on the soda.”

“I met this amazing guy today,” he said setting her down and grabbing and apple off the counter. “His name is Evan. We’re going to a movie on Friday.”

She frowned softly, “But what about Andy…I thought for sure you two were…together.”

He shook his head and bit into the apple. “No Andy and I are just friends Mom. Andy is the one that introduced me to Evan. He likes some other guy I guess. Don’t know who yet.”

She relaxed a little at that and smiled. “Well I’m glad you met a nice young man. Will you bring him over to meet me sometime?”

“Sure Mom. He’s picking me up a little after 7:00 on Friday,” Jason said hopping up onto the counter and munching on his apple. “Are you going out with Rich again that night?”

“Yes, but not until 9:00 or so. He works a little late that night,” she said grabbing his apple and taking a bite, then handing it back.

“Rich is a good guy Mom, I think he’s really perfect for you.” He grinned cheekily. “Well that and no man in his right mind would attack you with Rich around. He’s HUGE!”

She laughed and swatted his arm lightly. “He’s not that big…though I must admit I feel kind of like a little kid next to him.” Jennifer was only about 5’4” so Rich towered over her. “I like him too though. Maybe this one will work out a little better,” she said with a soft, sad smile.

He patted her shoulder and set his apple core down. “Speaking of which, have you told Dad about it or me?”

She sighed. “I didn’t tell him about you, but we had a long chat yesterday about Rich. He was understanding and said he didn’t have a problem with me dating Rich. He is still seeing Amanda…she’s the sweet little thing with the two girls. She’s probably good for your father. She likes being at home and taking care of household things. I need to be out conquering the world.”

Jason smiled and slid off the counter. His mom had recently taken over much of a small bookstore a few blocks away. The owner was aging and was grooming Jennifer to take over the business completely when she retired in a few months. It was a little stressful at times, but the job paid well and Jennifer loved to be around books more than anything. He tossed his apple core in the trash and rinsed his hands quickly. “You want me to cook tonight?” he asked, knowing she had probably brought work home with her.

She smiled and shook her head. “I thought we’d order some sandwiches and catch up a little, unless you need to study?” she amended.

He shook his head and waved his hand in dismissal. “I don’t have any tests tomorrow, and those I do have this week will be breeze. I’d just planned and drawing or maybe doing a little writing. I’d much rather spend some time with you. You’ve been so busy lately.”

She kissed him on the cheek and picked up the phone. “I know honey. I hate that I’m gone so much, but I’m hiring a helper here soon and they will be in charge of the evening shift.” She dialed the number for the deli down the street and told the young man on the other end what they wanted. They always ordered the same thing anyway.

She hung up the phone and smiled. “Well he was a nice young man. I wonder if he’s new. Usually it’s Hal that answers. Don’t get me wrong, old Hal is a good guy, but doesn’t have the sweetest phone voice.”

The deli! It finally dawned on Jason. “Oh, that’s where Evan works. He was just going to get his paycheck, but maybe he had to stay there after all.”

“The boy you’re going out with on Friday?” Jennifer asked curiously. She laughed when he flushed and nodded. “Well then we have one more reason to go there now don’t we?”

She wandered into their living room and sank into the overstuffed green couch she’d finally bought a few weeks ago. She had fallen in love with it two months prior and had saved hard to buy it. Jennifer watched as Jason got comfortable in his favorite chair across from her. He was growing up so fast, and now he was starting to date. It didn’t matter it was other men, she didn’t care, but it was hard to accept he was dating nonetheless. “Jason?” she asked softly after a long silent moment.

“Hmm?” he asked opening his eyes. He’d been daydreaming about what he wanted to draw later that evening.

“Did Andy talk to you about…you know…sex and all that?” she asked softly, blushing a little.

His eye when wide and he blushed. “Mom!” he said startled.

She sat upright and waved her hands. “What? I’m just asking. Did he tell you how to be safe and all?”

“Not really, but I know all that from health class,” he muttered in embarrassment.

She swallowed nervously and sighed. “Yes but they always talk about sex between men and women Jason. You’ll still have to wear a condom.”

Jason wanted to die. He couldn’t believe he was having this conversation with his mother. “When the time comes I’ll make sure I get condoms…I promise,” he said softly, blushing furiously.

“And lubricant,” she interjected softly. When he spluttered and sat up she waved him back. “I’m just saying…it’s not like being with a girl Jason. No son of mine is going to hurt his partner. If you’re with another man, I’m just saying you’ll need a little lubricant…and not lotion or some crap like that. I know you don’t really want to talk about this with me, but it’s important for you to think about this kind of thing.”

Jason blushed and relaxed back. In all honesty he had considered the need for condoms at some point, but not the lubricant. It made sense to have it though. He’d have to ask Andy about getting a good brand sooner or later. “Yeah, I guess so. It’s just kind of embarrassing to have this discussion with my mother…not that I could have it with my father.” The thought of that made he laughed. “Can you imagine Dad doing that conversation?”

Jennifer laughed lightly and relaxed back. She hated to make him uncomfortable, but it had needed to be said. After a moment she sighed and smiled. “So tell me what this Evan looks like.”

He took in a breath, but the stopped and looked up as the doorbell rang. “Maybe that’s him. I’ll get it,” he said, barely hiding the excitement in his voice. He jumped up and practically ran for the door.

When he opened it, Evan started and then grinned. He held up their sandwiches, “Hungry?”

“You’re working then?” Jason asked, feeling his mother’s curious eyes on his back.

Evan shook his head. “No I just took the order while I was there. I was hoping, when I heard the name ‘Christensen’ that it was your place,” he said grinning shyly. “I thought I’d bring it over before heading home myself.”

“You want to come in for a while? I’ll share my sandwich with you if you want…unless your parents are waiting for you.”

Evan’s smile smoothed out a little. “Ah Andy didn’t tell you. I live alone actually. I was emancipated from my parents last year. Nobody but the goldfish waiting at home,” he said softly.

“Oh,” Jason said softly. “Sorry.”

Evan grinned a little. “No big deal. I have my sandwich in my bag, so you don’t have to share…but thanks.” He handed Jason their order and followed him into the kitchen where Jennifer was setting the table and trying desperately to mind her own business.

“Mom? This is Evan. Evan this is my mom, Jennifer,” Jason said, a faint blush touching his cheeks.

Jennifer grinned and shook Evan’s hand. “It’s lovely to meet you Evan. Please come and sit with us.”

Evan slid his backpack off and pulled his own sandwich out. “Hal said to just come in and pay your tab whenever you are near the deli.” Jennifer grinned and nodded, telling him she’d do it on the way to the bookstore in the morning.

The three of them sat, ate and laughed around the kitchen table until the light started to grow dim. Evan finally announced that he needed to get home while he could still ride. Once it got dark, that wouldn’t be the best idea. Jennifer offered him a ride but he just shook his head and smiled.

Jason walked Evan out the door and with a wave and a small smile saw him off. As soon as he closed the door his mother was on him, hugging him fiercely. “Oh my God he’s adorable Jason! I can’t believe how lucky you are. I just wanted to pinch his cheeks.”

“Mom,” he groaned, rolling his eyes. Really she could be so dramatic sometimes.

She pulled back and grinned. “Sorry honey. But he really is cute. So you have a date this Friday? Are you excited?”

“Yeah,” he admitted grinning like an idiot. “I haven’t known him long at all, but I really like him a lot Mom. It’s like I need to run around in circles and giggle…that’s how I feel.”

She laughed gently and kissed his cheek. “I’m happy for you sweetie.” She patted his shoulder and smiled. “Why don’t you go study or whatever you need to do for the evening? I’m going to get some work done.”

He nodded and smiled. Jason trotted into his room, happy as a clam with the events of the day. He couldn’t wait to see Evan again tomorrow. How had he not met Evan before? What a shame.

***

Andy smiled when he saw Jason down the hall, leaning against his locker, chatting with Evan. Both were blushing a little, but seemed to be getting along. He had known the two would be perfect together. Andy regretted the loss of Jason as a lover, just a bit, but Jason wouldn’t likely be game for some of the things Andy found stimulating. Andy’s partners of late had been a little more…creative than Jason would enjoy at this point. This situation allowed Jason to be who he was meant to be, with a nice young man, and allowed their friendship to remain relatively untainted.

Anna leaned against him and sighed, “God they’re cute together. You did a good job Andy. I’m a bit surprised though. I thought you’d want to keep him to yourself, despite what you said a few days ago.” She was silent for a moment then spoke up again, “They have a date tonight, you know.”

“Yeah, I know. Jason is too sweet for the stuff I’m into anyway. Evan is perfect. They’re both sweet and gentle,” Andy said with a shrug. “They can explore together. I gave Jason a taste of what is possible, so let’s see what happens between them.”

Anna snorted and shook her head. “Hope you’re right Andy. Maybe they’ll just keep blushing at each other like that too.”

“Nah,” Andy said shaking his head. “Jason is too responsive for that. A little kissing and they’ll be fine.” He paused and grinned at her. “That is if they ever getting to kissing. Maybe you’re right and they’ll just blush and hold hands. What a waste that would be,” he sighed.

She laughed and punched him lightly in the shoulder. “Come on stud. Let’s go and get some more signatures in our yearbooks. Last day of school you know.”

“Thank God,” he murmured and drew her against his side. They wandered down the hall in search of friends, leaving the blooming lovebirds to flirt shyly with each other.

***

Jason paced nervously, which was starting to make his mom nervous. “For crying out loud Jason. He’ll be here any minute and you’re going to be a mess pacing like that. Besides you’re starting to wear a path in the carpet.” He distractedly looked down to check, and then blushed when she laughed.

“Sorry Mom. It’s just this is my first date…with anyone. I don’t know what to do…or who pays…or if I should kiss him at the end…” he trailed off and resumed pacing, pausing in panic when the doorbell rang.

Jennifer sighed and pushed past him to the door and opened it. Evan stood outside, looking rather nervous, shifting from foot to foot. “Look at you two,” she sighed. The young men exchanged glances and blushed, smiling a little as they realized the other was just as nervous. She pushed Jason toward the door, shoving a twenty in his pocket and whispering, “My treat.”

Jason grinned at Evan. “You look nice.” And he did. Evan had changed into khakis and a rich brown button-up shirt.

Evan laughed, “Where you expecting me to come in my ‘Hal’s Deli’ t-shirt?” Jason grinned, relaxing a bit. “You look nice too Jason,” Evan said, taking in Jason’s own khakis and blue button-up. “You ready? I thought we’d go over to Leo’s and get some dinner, and then go to see one of the movies at nine or so.”

“Yeah sure,” Jason said waving to his mom and closing the door. “I’m really glad you asked me out tonight Evan. I’ve been looking forward to this all week.”

Evan grinned and shrugged. They walked down the street towards the theater, grateful that they were so close to downtown. “Jason?”

“Hmm?” Jason asked glancing to his side at Evan. God he looked amazing under the soft glow of the streetlights. He swallowed and looked at the sidewalk.

“I haven’t…this is the first…relationship I’ve been in,” Evan paused. “I mean if you don’t mind me calling it a relationship.” Jason murmured that it was fine. Evan continued. “I haven’t done any of this before, so I’m just feeling my way along, you know?”

Jason nodded and smiled slightly. “This is the first date I’ve ever been on actually,” he said softly. “What I had with Andy didn’t really last long enough to be a relationship, so I’d say this was my first relationship too.”

Evan nodded and smiled. Andy had already explained the extent of his affair with Jason, so Evan didn’t worry about it later. Hell Andy had kissed him too…though Andy hadn’t done any of the other things he’d hinted at. Evan wondered idly what Jason knew how to do, looking forward, to some extent, on exploring that avenue later. “So we can learn our way together?” he asked Jason. Jason smiled and nodded, looking a little relieved. Evan sighed. “I have to admit I’m a little nervous still, around you that is. I hope that goes away soon.”

“Me too,” Jason said with an amused laugh. He loved the way Evan grinned back in response.

***

They got into Leo’s quickly, which was a bit of a surprise on a Friday night, but they couldn’t complain. They ordered a chicken pizza, the house specialty, and then settled in to enjoy the evening.

“I love this place. I used to come here with my folks all of the time,” Evan sighed.

Jason bit his lip. “Is it rude for me to ask why you live alone?”

Evan smiled and shook his head. “No, of course not. My parents got a divorce, and they fought so much about who would get me that I finally said neither could have me. I went to a nice lawyer who helped me do all the paperwork and my parents signed them. I can rent an apartment and take care of all of my own needs.” He sighed and looked a bit down. “It kind of sucks actually. They still give me money and visit, but it’s hard living alone, you know? Goldfish are pretty of quiet most of the time,” he said with a sad smile.

Jason nodded and sighed, “Yeah it was rough when Mom and Dad split, but I think that Dad knew Mom would need me more than he would. I hope Mom has someone to be with when I move to college. She’s dating a nice guy lately, so that might work out,” he said softly.

Evan nodded, and then to change subjects, asked, “What college are you going to?”

Jason smiled and shrugged. “I thought about going out to LA. They have a few good art schools. I also thought about getting a normal degree, like business or something too. I could stay here for that I guess. You?”

“Oh, I already have a job at my dad’s company if I want it. He runs a big fabrication company, furniture. I can do that, or I thought about going to medical school. I love art too, but I’ve always been really good in the life sciences,” Evan said with a smile.

“Dr. Jordan huh?” Jason mused. “Sounds good. What kind of doctor?”

“I don’t know. Maybe a pediatrician or something. I get a kick out of little kids, so that would be kind of fun I think,” Evan said with a small shrug. He looked up and smiled as the waiter set their pizza down and grinned. He asked if they needed anything then wandered away to check on his other tables.

They ate, chatting about this and that, getting to know each other’s background and plans. Finally when the pizza was gone and they where pleasantly stuffed with chicken, cheese and soda Evan paid and they wandered into the cool night air.

“Thanks for dinner Evan,” Jason said softly. “I hope you’ll let me pay for the movie…or rather my Mom, since she shoved a twenty in my pocket,” he finished with a grin.

Evan laughed, “That’s fine. I’m not really sure what the rules are about the paying situation when two guys are on a date, so we’ll just plan as we go.” They crossed the parking lot to the theater and looked up to see what was playing. “Jeez, there isn’t much tonight is there?” Evan murmured.

Jason laughed ruefully, “There really isn’t.” His eyes scanned the parking lot and fell on the new 18 and under club. “Hey, what about that? I can’t really dance, but we can find a corner and chat, listen to the music…” he said shrugging.

Evan looked over at the club. It had just opened so the line wasn’t too long yet. “Sure. I’ve been wanting to check it out anyway.” He slid his hand into Jason’s and twined their fingers together, walking with him across the parking lot.

Jason blushed lightly as Evan’s hand slid his hand into his own, but thrilled at the contact. He’d wanted to touch the other young man for a week. They waited in line, only releasing hands when Jason had to dig into his pocket for money. Once inside they found a relatively quiet corner, where the music didn’t thump quite as loudly.

Jason looked around, admiring the new building. It was primarily black, to help people feel secure and sexy while they danced. Platforms and poles dotted the floor for those that were bolder and wanted to be seen. Jason doubted he would be on one anytime soon. He could dance a little, but not well enough to want to call attention to him self. The floor was filling up quickly with teens, mostly around 16, 17 and 18. He doubted most parents would let their younger teens come here. It was an underage club, sure, but the atmosphere was still charged with a rather sexual undertone.

As the music’s thump, pounded his body, he began to relax a little and started to feel pretty good. Finally when the perfect song came on, begging dancers to the floor, he stood. “Dance with me,” he said to Evan.

Evan raised one eyebrow, but smiled and followed Jason out onto the floor with a shrug. Evan didn’t mind having an excuse to touch Jason a little. As the music beat against him, he flushed a little and understood the draw on Jason that it’d had. There was something about a hard beat and drums that drew a person…ignited their blood…something sexual and forbidden about it. When Jason looked unsure how to proceed Evan smiled gently and began to sway and move to the music, coaxing Jason to follow.

Jason gradually relaxed under Evan’s smile and gentle coaching. As another song started he found himself pulling Evan a little closer, his firm rear lightly brushing Jason’s groin. Evan turned, flushing lightly, pressing into Jason as the crowd grew dense around them. Jason nearly choked at raw arousal streaked through his body and he firmed against Evan’s hip. He blushed furiously and tried to pull back, but Evan’s hand on his back stopped the retreat. With a previously hidden sensuality, Even flexed his body and ground his hips and erection into Jason’s.

When the music stopped and the DJ announced that they were taking a short break, Jason and Evan were left breathing heavily and wishing above all that they weren’t in a public place with erections straining against their khakis. Fortunately people didn’t really leave the dance floor and by mutual agreement they pulled apart slightly, praying their bodies would submit to their control.

Ten minutes later they were outside and blushing lightly at each other. “That was interesting,” Jason murmured softly.

“Mm,” Evan murmured just as softly. “Too bad there were so many people around…could have been very interesting.”

Jason grinned, “The night is still young.”

Evan laughed and Jason swore it was the sexiest thing he’d ever heard. They walked in no particular direction for a moment. Finally Evan stopped. “Jason would you like to come over to my place for a while?”

Jason’s eyes widened, but he managed a nod at least. Was Evan asking him over for quieter conversation or…? When Evan leaned in and kissed him lightly, Jason guessed it was the ‘OR’ category. He panicked slightly, realizing he still hadn’t bought anything for this kind of situation and certainly wouldn’t have thought to bring anything.

Evan smiled a bit and sighed. “Why do you look like you’re about to have a heart attack?”

Jason hadn’t realized his struggles had been externalized that much and smiled, rubbing his head nervously. “It’s just I’m not sure what to expect when we get to your place and…I don’t have anything with me….” He blushed, feeling like a little kid.

“I don’t think we’ll get that far tonight Jason…but if we do I have everything we need. Just relax and let’s have fun tonight,” Evan said pulling him gently down the street. Jason smiled and nodded, using the three-block walk to Evan’s house to try to calm his pounding heart.

He swore softly and pulled out his phone. “I’d better let my mom know my plans just in case I don’t get home at a decent time. Her boyfriend is a cop and I don’t really want the whole department out searching for me in a few hours.” Evan laughed and nodded. Jason dialed his mom’s number. “Mom? Hey sorry to interrupt your date. I’m headed to Evan’s for a while. I don’t know when I’ll be home.”

“What about the movie?” Jennifer asked at the other end.

“Nothing good. We went to a club for a while though. Is this okay with you?” he asked softly.

“You’re a big boy, almost 18. You can decide now I think. I put something else in your pocket with the money, if you haven’t already found it. Be safe honey,” Jennifer said softly.

Jason dug in his pocket, his eyes widening as he pulled a square packet out, “Pre-lubricated, For Her Pleasure?” he asked. “God I don’t even want to know where the rest of them are.”

“Sorry,” she grumbled. “It was all I had. It’ll work if you need it. Have fun honey. See you when you get home.” She hung up and Jason sighed.

Evan laughed and took the condom. “I’m glad my mother isn’t so helpful.”

Jason sighed and watched at Evan slid the packet into his pocket, swallowing at the light touch of his fingers. “My mom is a bit too helpful, but she’s at least cool,” Jason admitted, his hip tingling where Evan had touched him.

Evan laughed and took his hand. “Come on. It’s that building there.” He pointed to a small white apartment building with tidy hedges and fresh paint. “It’s a pretty good place really.” He pulled Jason to his door on the ground floor and slid the key into the door.

Jason was surprised when he walked into the tidy apartment and looked around. The furniture was pretty nice and he had a fair amount of space. He guessed that Evan’s parents, or at least his dad, were paying most of the bill. A job at the deli would really only pay for food and entertainment, not rent and utilities. He turned as Evan closed and locked the door. “It’s nice.”

“Thanks,” Evan said beaming. “I’ll give you the tour. Living room and kitchen,” he said waving to the area they were in, then the small clean kitchen. He wandered down a narrow hall and pointed to the bathroom, and then slid into the room at the end.

Jason swallowed and followed him in. Evan stood in the middle of his bedroom. It was both clean and masculine with white walls, a tidy desk and a navy blue bedspread. The bed was wide, likely a queen. Jason swallowed hard as half a dozen images flooded his brain about what could be done in that bed.

Evan smiled at him, looking rather nervous as well. He moved to the bedside and turned on the lamp and then moved past Jason to turn off the ceiling light. Jason shivered lightly as Evan turned and pulled Jason back into his arms. “Is this okay Jason?”

Jason nodded and turned in the circle of Evan’s arms. He leaned in and kissed Evan, his own arms moving up around Evan’s shoulders. Both groaned softly and leaned into the kiss and the other’s arms. Jason couldn’t believe how very right it felt to hold Evan and kiss him. The slide of his mouth, the gentle touch of his tongue, the slow flexing of his hips against Jason’s, was pure heaven.

Evan hummed softly as Jason slid his hands up and through his soft, short black hair, thrilling at the tingles the caress sent down through his body. He returned the caress, dipping his arms low and running his hands over Jason’s firm, incredible bottom. He squeezed gently and Jason groaned into his mouth, grinding his growing erection against Evan’s.

Both gasped at the intimate slide of hard flesh and feverishly firmed their kiss. Jason’s mind whirled as pleasure curled pleasantly all around him. He didn’t even think as he slid his hands to Evan’s shirt and with trembling, clumsy hands, undid the buttons and pulled the shirt off of the quaking young man. Evan eagerly returned the favor, groaning and sliding his tongue over Jason’s as hard, bare flesh met like.

Pressing Jason toward the bed, Evan attacked Jason’s belt and waistband with trembling fingers, managing to get both undone before Jason fell against the bed, under him. Jason jumped and cried out as Evan slid his hand eagerly into the warmth of Jason’s boxers. “Oh God,” Jason groaned as Evan’s hand wrapped around him, his length twitching hard and the intimate caress.

Jason struggled to unbutton and unzip Evan’s pants amid stroking hands and hot, wet kisses. Finally he managed to pull Evan free, his belly clenching in brief panic when he realized how thick Evan was. He quickly pushed those thoughts away and simply enjoyed that glorious grind of his straining flesh against Evan’s.

Evan shuddered and flexed hard against Jason’s hand as the other young man pulled him from his boxers. He’d never been touched like this before and was desperately hoping he wouldn’t lose control before they got anywhere. Realizing that he needed to get away from Jason’s glorious, stroking hand, he slid down Jason’s body and nibbled and licked at his nipples. Jason arched below him and mindlessly rubbed at Evan’s hair and back, his erection erotically prodding Evan in the belly. Swallowing a tremor of uncertainty he dipped lower until he was bent over the bed, his palms resting on the edge and Jason’s long engorged length proudly displayed in front of him.

Jason whimpered at the loss of Evan’s kisses and caresses, opening his eyes to see the reason. His eyes widened into saucers as he watched Evan dip his head and white-hot heat engulfed his length. “Oh fuck!” he groaned, struggling to keep from thrusting up into Evan’s mouth and gagging him. “Evan…my God…you’re amazing. So fucking hot…” he trailed off with a strangled groan.

Evan pulled back and smiled sexily. “Yeah? It’s my first time so go easy on me.” Jason grinned shakily back and nodded. Evan was surprised at how easy it was to do this. Coaxing Jason to scoot up on the bed, he pulled the rest of their clothing off and settled over Jason again. Jason’s skin smelled clean, but also a little musky from their dancing. Evan discovered it was a scent he rather liked; clean but male too. He flicked his tongue out over the plump, dewy head of Jason’s length, tasting the excitement gently beading at his tip. When Jason gasped and shivered Evan slid his whole mouth down over Jason’s length, using a hand to gently grasp and pump the base. Gradually he began to move his mouth over the engorged shaft, teasing his hand high with every bob of his head. Jason went wild beneath him and clutched frantically at his short hair.

“Wait, wait…stop,” Jason ground out after a few agonizing moment. “I’m not ready to end this,” he groaned as Evan gently released him with a final sucking sound. He panted, sprawled beneath Evan, trying to gather his scattered wits enough to form a full, coherent sentence.

Evan slid up Jason’s body and gently settled between the other young man’s damp thighs. He kissed Jason, letting him taste the faint musk of his own body. “You’re so hot,” Evan murmured. “Do you have any idea how amazing you look right now?”

Jason blushed lightly and smiled, reaching up for another light kiss. “Evan? Do you want to…to go further tonight? You can come inside me…if you want to.”

Evan smiled and shook his head. “It’s too soon I think. I would like it if you’d touch me though. I’d like that very much Jason.”

Jason nodded and with gentle, but firm pressure, rolled until they’d reversed positions. Without a bit of hesitation he dipped his head and took Evan’s wide length into his mouth. It was a curious sensation having another man inside his mouth. The slow ooze of pre-cum, the gentle throb as he moved deeper, the ragged groan spilling from Evan’s mouth. The sheer eroticism of the moment nearly made Jason lose it. He reached down and ruthlessly pinched the base of his own rock solid length to stop the orgasm that threatened to flood through him. Once he had some sort of grasp on his own raging pleasure, he reached up to firmly suck and stroke Evan into the same precarious state he was in.

“Jason I’m gonna…oh God pull back,” Evan groaned raggedly a few glorious minutes later. Jason made a split-second decision and firmed his stroke. As Evan stiffened and grasped his own short black hair, Jason slid him deep and felt the Evan throb hard against his tongue. Evan grunted and warm, bitter fluid hit Jason’s tongue and throat. He swallowed, surprised at the taste, but not pulling away until Evan sagged, gasping.

Jason pulled away gently and rose up to kiss Evan lightly, surprised when the young man pulled him deeper and flicked his tongue out to taste himself in Jason’s mouth. He reached down and slid his hand around Jason’s twitching, neglected length. With some gentle urging Jason thrust against Evan’s body, into his hand, reaching his own climax less than a minute later. He shuddered and sighed, reaching for Evan’s mouth, smearing cum between their bellies.

Finally with a sigh they slid apart, silently marveling at the experience…until Evan’s phone rang. Evan groaned and rolled slightly to pick it up, mentally cursing whoever was disturbing his warm cocoon of pleasure. “Hello? You’re where? At my door?! Why?” He listened a moment. “Fine, give me a minute.” He hung up the phone and swore, reaching for his clothes.

“Who was that?” Jason asked, scrambling to pick up his own clothes. Who was at the door at 10:30? He used his boxers to wipe the cum from their bodies and tossed Evan his shirt.

“My dad,” Evan grumbled.

“Fuck,” Jason said pulling up his pants.
