I appreciate everyone coming back to read my story! I thought about taking it down since the first two chapters didn’t seem really successful to me but I’ll see how things go with chapter 3.

Chapter 3: Alpha Male
“To Lord Kazama, for the defeat of Katsu!”
The large dining hall roared with cheers to Sogetsu as cups were raised in his honor. Combining his kingdom along with Katsu’s gave Sogetsu the advantage over the north and west, which of course made him the strongest kingdom. During the past four days, Sogetsu had to move quickly and gain control of Katsu’s kingdom. Leaving Izu in charge of the eastern half, Sogetsu could rebuild his kingdom on his own terms. He did trust Izu, since he was the advisor for Sogetsu’s father for a few years before the late king’s death, but Sogetsu wanted a clean slate. He wanted complete control.
Sogetsu was sitting at the head of the table. To his left was the ruler of the west kingdom, Lord Armin. He was a giant of a man with a brown bushy beard wearing a green formal robe. Next to Armin was his general. On Sogetsu’s right were two empty chairs. Armin took a drink from his cup as Sogetsu watches his other guests. All were men dressed in formal clothes: high ranking soldiers, advisors, and major traders were chatting with one another. Sogetsu suddenly heard Armin’s loud hearty laugh.
“Lord Kazama, why so serious? This honor is for you on your victory over that dog Katsu!” Armin let out another laugh but as he saw Sogetsu’s face remain the same, he gave a sigh and decided to change the subject. He leans in close to Sogetsu and drops his voice down to a whisper. “If I may ask, Lord Kazama, how did you manage to defeat Katsu’s army?” A smirk comes across Sogetsu’s face.
“You’ll see soon enough Lord Armin.”
Suddenly, a booming is heard over the conversations: “IF I MAY HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE, LORDS AND SIRS.” The conversations slowly die down as everyone turns towards the man at the doors. “May I introduce, Lord Kazama’s creature, Qilué.” The man turns the knobs and opens the doors.
------------------------------
After being left alone in Sogetsu’s quarters, a servant comes in and hands her a beautiful silver gown and tells her she needs to wear it to the gathering for tonight. Once the servant left, Qilué tried on the gown. It felt wonderful against her dark skin but the size was a too small. Her breasts were threatening to come out from the top of the gown and the slit of the dress nearly ended at her hip. The gown was suppose to be ankle high, but it was knee high for her. She spotted a mirror next to a wooden closet near the door. They must have brought these in when I was asleep, she thought. She looked terribly disturbed when she saw herself in the mirror. “Why don’t I just wear nothing at all?” she said to her reflection. Walking over to the closet, she opens it in hopes of finding something that could cover her up. Inside were exquisite robes and uniforms. A dark blue, high collar robe caught her eye as she lifts it out from the closet and puts it on. It was slightly too big for her and she guessed that it probably belonged to Sogetsu. Rolling up the long sleeves and buttoning the front to her mid-section, she now looked more formal. There was a light knock at the door and it slowly opened. A small, petite woman peers into the room.
“Um…hello? Lord Kazama sent me. He thought you might need some help?” Qilué smiled at the woman as she opens the door wider to let herself in. The door clicks shut behind her as she stood there, looking wide-eyed at Qilué.
“Is…is there anything I can do?” The woman stutters out. Qilué motions for the woman to come closer to her. “I don’t really know what Kazama wants me to look like at his celebration.” Qilué was playing with her long, white hair, lifting it up then letting it drop down. She turns to the woman who didn’t move an inch from her spot. The woman was shaking, trying hard to be pleasant as she tried to smile but it ended up looking like she ate something horrible. From the way the woman was trembling, Qilué knew the woman was probably scared out of her wits. “You can go. Tell Kazama to not send me any more servants.” The woman nodded and quickly scampers out of the room. Sighing, Qilué finished up with whatever she could.
----------------------------------------------
As the doors swing open, Qilué slowly walks into the room. Swallowing slowly, she takes a few more steps in while hearing whispers and comments. She was glad she remembered to wear a veil, though the material of this veil was quite thin. With the short silver gown underneath the blue robe, she looked suitable for this gathering. Her long white hair was pulled up and held by jeweled chains. Looking around the room nervously, she smiled behind her veil as some of the men were able to capture it through the thin material and smiled back at her. Conversation began to start again and Qilué’s nerves died down.
Sogetsu was walking over to her. She was beautiful and what made him pleased was that she was wearing his robe. He purposely sent her a small dress in order to see if she would follow his command and to his surprise, she was also wearing a veil. Their eyes met as Sogetsu approached her. Inhaling sharply, Sogetsu looked so handsome in his royal clothes. Wearing a long, black and blue robe, the front was open to show his smooth, muscular chest and tight stomach. Qilué jumped a little as Sogetsu took her hand, not expecting him to touch her. What was even more unexpected was him bringing her hand up to his lips and gently placing a kiss on her knuckles. She felt her cheeks redden as she put her other hand on her chest as if to catch her breath.
“I didn’t get the chance to thank you properly.” Sogetsu softly said as he looks up at her, seeing her bright red face.
“I…um…There’s no need for it.” Qilué tried to take her hand out of his, a bit embarrassed as to who was watching them but he held tight onto her fingers. A loud laugh broke out and interrupted the awkward situation. Armin was walking towards them, his arms wide open.
“Ha ha ha! So Lord Kazama, this is who defeated Katsu’s army? Well, I would have never guessed!” Sogetsu gave Armin a smirk. “Q, this is Lord Armin.” With her hand in his, he guided her as she bowed to Armin. “Lord Armin, the honor is mine. I hope you are enjoying yourself.” Armin gave out another laugh and nods. “She’s wonderful Lord Kazama, absolutely stunning! Where ever did you find her?”
“That, my dear Armin, is a secret I don’t think Lord Kazama would be likely to share with any of us.” They all turned towards the man with the silky voice. He looked just as young as Sogetsu and as beautiful as well. His hair was pitch black and short but a few strands dangled in front of his face. He seemed formally overdressed, wearing at least three different colored robes with large jewels complimenting his exposed chest. A beautiful smile came to his face as he walks towards the three with two men following behind him.
“Lord Orin!” Armin shouted out as he approaches the man and takes a deep bow. Orin bowed in return but his eyes were on Qilué the entire time. “Well you’re quite fashionably late Lord Orin. You always do like to make your grand entrances.” Armin joked and laughed. Orin gives a chuckle, still looking at Qilué. Sogetsu let go of her hand finally and steps in front of her in order to get Orin’s attention.
“Ah, Lord Kazama.” Orin bowed, smiling at Sogetsu. Sogetsu gives Orin a small nod. “I want to personally congratulate you on your victory. It seems you will do great things with the large territory you have obtained. But enough about business, you know I’m never one for those sort of things. I’d rather find pleasure than conquer worlds.” Qilué takes a small peek over Sogetsu’s shoulder and saw Orin looking right at her, a smile still on his lips. “Please Lord Kazama, would you let me introduce myself to this lovely woman?” Sogetsu stepped aside slowly as he watches Orin walk up to Qilué. Armin cleared his throat, giving Qilué a quick glance and smile. She was quite confused as to what Armin was trying to say but as she looks back at Orin, he was smiling sweetly at her.
“It is an honor and privilege to be in your presence Lady. I am Cain Orin. May you tell me your name?” Qilué was standing there a bit stunned by Cain’s presence. She had never been around someone so…comfortable with what she was. He was very charming, especially when he smiled. She couldn’t help herself but act coy with him because of his persistent nature.
“Qilué, Lord Orin. The honor is mine.” She slowly bowed to him. As she stands up straight, Cain reaches out and holds her hand, the same one that Sogetsu was holding earlier. “Lady Qilué, I really must insist, the pleasure is all mine.” As he brought her hand up, she felt like she had replayed this scene before. She realized that he was going to kiss her hand. Before he could put his lips onto the back of her hand, she quickly slips her hand out of his and pulls it to her chest. She wasn’t quite sure why she had done that and as Cain looks up at her, a surprised expression comes on his face, though not hurt. He smiles at her, closing his hand and bringing it behind his back. Qilué slowly turns her head to look at Sogetsu. He was glaring at Cain now, a hateful expression was formed on his face. She thought his gaze would burn right through Cain. As Cain saw Sogetsu’s expression himself, Cain let out a light laugh.
“Please forgive me for being so forward. Lord Kazama, I’m sorry if I’ve offended you in some way. Let me make it up to you. I’ve brought gifts from my kingdom.” Cain lifts up his arm towards the door. Men start to file in, holding pots filled with plants, crops, and fruit. “My land is plentiful and I hope you’ll accept these. Think of it as a start on the re-birth of your land for your people.” Qilué found this an opportunity for Sogetsu to perhaps see how a kingdom treats it people and Cain seemed like a good influence.
“Lord Orin,” she started, “you are very generous to share some of your plantation with us. But what of the soil? Do you think your plants would be able to grow well on this land?” Cain brings his hand up to his chin. “Hm, that’s very true. Ah, Lord Kazama, if I may, do you think I could stay within your kingdom for a few days? I would like to test out the soil to see if the planets will flourish.” Sogetsu looked a bit hesitant but Qilué had to give it another small nudge. “It would benefit your people. I’m very sure they would be extremely grateful to you Lord Kazama.”
Sogetsu let out a small grunt. “Very well Lord Orin. Once I have a room ready for you, I’ll send one of my servants to escort you.” Cain bowed deeply to Sogetsu. “Thank you for letting me stay in your home Lord Sogetsu.” Cain suddenly turns to Qilué. “And as for you…” Slowly leaning into her, Sogetsu saw Cain whispering into Qilué’s ear. He began to glare again at the two as Cain slowly straightens up and walks out the room. Armin clears his throat, Sogetsu and Qilué almost forgetting he was there despite his large presence. “That Orin, always showing off,” Armin starts, “but he means well, I know Lord Kazama.” as he quickly adds.
“Mm. I’m sure he does Lord Armin. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have other guests to attend to. Q, won’t you keep Lord Armin company?” Before Qilué could respond, Sogetsu took off and into the crowd of guests. “Well, it looks like it’s just you and me Lady Qilué.” Armin extends out his large arm towards her. “Would you like to join me on the balcony?” Qilué gives him a smile as she takes his arm. “Thank you Lord Armin, I would love to join you.” The two walk out to the large balcony and into the evening air. A few guests were scattered around and each nod at Armin as they pass the guests.
“Now is it true Lady Qilué that you stopped Katsu’s entire army?” Qilué gives Armin a larger smile, now letting go of his arm and facing him.
“I wouldn’t say the entire army. Perhaps a little more than half and please, no formalities. I’m not really comfortable with a title.” Armin let out a laugh as he nods. “Very well, then you must do the same for me!” Qilué laughs with Armin this time as both of them turn to look out at the scenery.
“It’s not really my place to say this but I think Lord Orin’s taken a liking to you.” Qilué looks at Armin, a small twinkle in his eye was present as he smils at her. She smiles in return. “He doesn’t seem to be a bad man. It was very generous of him to offer some of his plantation to Lord Kazama. Maybe Lord Orin will have good influence for Lord Kazama as to what he might do to make his kingdom better?” Qilué finished her sentence quietly and in confusion as she sees Armin shake his head.
“For as long as I’ve known the Kazama family,” Armin bent down to whisper “they’re nothing but tyrants.” He stands back up, nodding and lets out a sigh. “All of us never really got along but we had uses for each other. Everyone came to my kingdom for metal and weapons. Orin is known for his harvest and crops, Katsu was known for his trinkets and treasure while Kazama’s known for water. Though after a while, Orin, Kazama, and I started to have one thing in common: we all hated Katsu because of his cheating deals.”
“What’s this about Lord Kazama’s kingdom and water?” Armin blinks at her, a surprised look crossing his face. “I thought everyone would have known about Kazama. Well, in the Kazama family, there’s a legend that once every blue moon, a boy would be born with blue hair and eyes. I’m sure you didn’t find Kazama’s appearance different because, well…” Armin got quiet and starts to nod at her, holding out his hand to indicate that she was different as well.
“Oh, yes. I didn’t expect Lord Kazma to be any different.”
“Anyways, so this child with blue hair and eyes supposedly holds the power to control water. Now I don’t know how this came to be in the Kazama family, but as you can see, he has blue hair as well as the eyes. I heard once that when my great-great-great-grandfather was a child, he witnessed the Kazama who ruled during the time destroy armies with tidal waves that came from rivers.” Armin’s voice was once again a whisper and Qilué could tell that there was a small hint of fear as well. Qilué couldn’t but help smile as small giggle escapes her lips. Armin was now confused. “Do you think this is a joke? Just don’t let Kazama catch you laughing!” Qilué shakes her head as she suppresses her laughing.
“Armin, I don’t mean any disrespect to you or Lord Kazama, but I don’t think he has that sort of power.”
“What?! What do you mean? Has he told you he doesn’t?” Armin now looked extremely eager to know why Qilué would say something like this. Blinking a little, she now didn’t think it was smart of her to say such a thing.
“What I mean is, Lord Kazama does have some power, but not powerful enough to create tidal waves.” Qilué stands there for a while, hoping Armin would give into her answer. Looking back into the room, Qilué could see Sogetsu chatting with a few men.
“Excuse me Armin.” Leaving Armin at the balcony, she re-entered the room but didn’t immediately go to Sogetsu’s side. She stayed a few feet away to observe him. “For as long as I’ve known the Kazama family, they’re nothing but tyrants.” It was puzzling to her because as she thought about the moment when Sogetsu kissed her hand, he was a completely different person. His cold exterior had melted away and she felt for the first time that he really cared. But then again, could it be him just putting on a show in front of his guests? If he could show some kindness to her, she was sure he’d be able to show it to others.
-------------------------------------------------------
Combing her hair as she sat on the bed, Qilué couldn’t help wonder about Sogetsu’s powers. As a dark elf, she had the ability to sense these sort of things but she didn’t get anything when they first met. Perhaps he’s so strong that he’s able to hide his power, she thought, but the only way to really know is to ask him himself. Standing up and walking to the door, she wondered if she should wear something more than a white night gown. It was nearly the middle of the night and all the guests had left. She decided it wasn’t necessary and walks out, closing the door quietly behind her. She didn’t want to wake anyone at this hour because she would more likely get into trouble. She hated the rules that Sogetsu placed on her, how she always had to cover herself from head to toe but at the same time, she felt comfortable that no one would be staring at her. After wandering the halls for a few minutes, she realized she was lost. In fact, she had no idea where Sogetsu said his room would be since she took over his. Sensing something behind her, she looks back to see if anyone was there, trailing the wall with her fingers as she continues to walk forward. Finally satisfied that no one was there, she turns her head forward then suddenly lets out a small cry. She quietly laughs at herself for almost running into a statue.
As she walks around the statue, she noticed it was a statue of Sogetsu. She put her hands on her hips and gives a small grin to the stone Sogetsu. Without thinking, she reaches out her hand and touches the statue’s chin. Her grin slowly turns into fascination as she trails her fingers across the cold hard cheek of the statue then slowly down its jaw line. Closing her eyes, she slowly starts to trail her fingers down its neck, imagining Sogetsu himself. She could feel his pulse, beating gently against her fingers as she continues to trail her fingers down him. Her fingers were now slowly moving along the curve of his smooth chest, letting her fingers linger through out that area, touching every inch. She could feel the warmth of his body, his heart beat feeling faster as she slowly moves her fingers down to his stomach, moving her fingers delicately over the smooth, hard, knots. She felt him breath a little heavier as she slowly moves her finger down further.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
Qilué immediately snaps her eyes open and pulls her hand away from the statue quickly. She could feel her face start to heat up as she heard the footsteps. “It’s a gift from Lord Armin.” Qilué suddenly recognizes the voice. It was Cain. She clumsily tries to cover her bare arms with her hands and leans into the statue, letting her white hair fall forward to cover her face. The footsteps stop.
“Are you cold Lady Qilué?”
“No, no, I’m fine Lord Orin.” Qilué leans more into the statue, her face nearly pressed against its chest. As Cain walks closer to her, she turns her head the other way, feeling his presence next to her. “What are you doing out here so late Lady?” His voice was now soft and gentle. It was so hard for Qilué to resist turning her head to see the smile that she was feeling from him.
“I couldn’t sleep. I suppose from all the excitement of the celebration.” She hugged herself tighter as she felt Cain slightly graze against her.
“Speaking of the celebration, did you consider my offer?” Qilué was first puzzled but then she remembered what Cain was talking about. He offered her to accompany him while he would be testing the soils tomorrow around the lands and giving the people crops to grow. She didn’t exactly remember what he said because she was too concerned about the glare Sogetsu was giving them when she was watching him out of the corner of her eye. “I’m sorry, Lord Orin. I haven’t discussed this with My Lord yet.” Her entire body stiffened as she felt his warm hand on her shoulder. He slightly pushes her back, forcing her to face him but she turns away completely from him, his hand sliding off her shoulder as her back was now facing him.
“Will you not let me see your face Lady?” His voice was so sincere, so gentle but Qilué shakes her head. “My Lord forbids it. I cannot.” Then without warning, Cain seizes her arms and spins her around. The action was so forceful that she lost her balance and fell into him as he graciously accepted her into his arms. His black hair was wet and his skin was a light pink. He wore a thick, white robe as Qilué guessed he just came out from the bath.
“You’re…absolutely stunning.” She heard whisper, the words barely coming out from behind his lips. Cain’s mouth was slightly open as he stared at her in awe. She gives him a small shove, trying to indicate that she wanted him to let go but he wouldn’t loosen his grip. “Please…Lord Orin.” Cain slowly closes his mouth as she could feel his arms pull her in even closer. She was nearly ready to cry out.
“What are you doing?” As they heard this, Cain quickly let go of Qilué and jumps at least two feet away from her. It was Sogetsu, still in his royal clothes that he wore during the celebration. His arms were crossed in front of him as he glares first at Qilué, then shifts his eyes over to Cain.
“Lord Kazama, we were admiring your gift from Lord Armin.” Sogetsu uncrosses his arms as he walks over to Qilué. Sliding his robe from his shoulders, Qilué could see his muscles move smoothly and beautifully. He was now left wearing pants, swinging the robe around Qilué, putting it over her head. He then put his hand behind her head and pulls her into him, pressing her face into his neck. Her face starts to grow warm, feeling her cold body pressing against. The heat from his body quickly warms her.
“My gift wasn’t the only thing you seem to be admiring.” Sogetsu’s voice was deep, threatening almost. Qilué tried to slightly shift her head and that a peek out from the robe to see what Cain was doing but she felt Sogetsu’s hand behind her head, keeping her face pressed tightly into his neck. She could hear Cain clear his throat.
“Forgive me Lord Kazama. The Lady fell and as a gentleman, I helped her up.”
“Hmph. Is that all?” Qilué’s hands were now pressing against Sogetsu’s chest. She could feel his heart beat, the pulse in his neck pressing against her lips like a light kiss.
“If you’ll excuse me now, Lord Kazama, Lady, I’ll be off to bed.” She heard Cain walk away, his footsteps fading down the hall. She felt Sogetsu’s hand move away from the back of her head and she slowly lifts her face out from his neck. She was frightened to look at him because she didn’t know if he believed Cain, about her falling down and being helped up.
“I know you’re not that clumsy.” She heard Sogetsu say. She had to slightly pull the robe up since it was nearly over her eyes. Looking at him, he didn’t seem angry. He just had his same emotionless face. “Why are you wandering the halls?”
“I heard about the Kazama legend. I wanted to know if you…” Sogetsu was looking at her in a strange manner. He lifts his hand to touch her chin with his fingers, like how she did with the statue.
“I almost forgot what you looked like.” He whispers to her. His fingers trail down her neck as he felt her swallow. Suddenly, his hand wraps around her neck, squeezing it. “Do I need to remind you again that you belong to me?” He forcefully pushes her as she hits the wall with her back, her hand reaching out to grab the statue for the means of support, trying not to fall completely down. He was right on her before she could stand up straight. Opening the robe, he tore her night gown, enough to expose her breasts. The sound of the rip sent chills through her body and her first instinct was to get away. She knew she couldn’t over power him so she starts to mutter and chant. Sogetsu quickly grabs her wrist, seeing how she needed both her arms as part of her spell, he hoped his guess would be right and that he was stopping her from completing it. The surprised expression on her face indicated that he was right as he presses her against the wall with his body. Slowly moving his face closer to hers, he slightly tilts his head to his right, brushing his cheek against hers.
“You do not question me or need to attain any information about my life.” The breath from his whisper tickles her long slender ear, sending chills down her spine. She could feel his warm breath at her neck as he slowly pushes the robe off her left shoulder. “You are only here to serve one purpose for me.”
Without warning, Sogetsu places his lips on top of Qilué’s left breast. She could feel his teeth nipping at her, the small, sharp feelings make her start to struggle. He then gently moves his lips around the same area, flicking his tongue slightly in between the occasional nips. Her whimpers shortly turn into soft moans and her tensed up body was going limp. Letting go of her wrist, he lifts her up easily in his arms, her legs around his hips and her hands squeeze his broad shoulders, feeling her fingertips into him each time he bit down lightly into her. Sogetsu could hear her breath heavily, her hands slowly trailing down his muscular back, her fingers running over his rough scars. With a low growl, he bites into her harder and feels her fingers scratch his back suddenly. Starting to struggle again, Sogetsu lifts his face away from her chest and puts her on her feet. She was shaking, Sogetsu wondering if she was cold or if it was what he did to her. He looks at her chest with admiration and a small smile almost comes to his face. Seeing him looking at her chest, she wondered what he was staring at and looks herself. A small red swollen mark was visible. Before Qilué could do anything, he pulls the robe back around her shoulders, making her hold the robe together.
“That will be little reminder of what happens when you become curious.” Sogetsu turns and walks off, living Qilué confused.
That’s it for Chapter 3! I feel this fanfiction coming to an early death. Hopefully I’ll have something better to write about in Chapter 4.
