He was lying on his bed, thinking about what he’d agreed to
do just five hours ago. Sapphire was
still asleep on the couch. Kai had

There was a knock on his doorframe. He looked up.
“Hey. Are you taking

“I’m cold.” She said,

bed and cuddled up to him, her back against his chest.

“Okay. I’m
sorry. I’ll try to suppress my scent.”
“You’re okay. I’ll
try not to put my nose too close.”

Sapphire, closing her eyes.
