Chapter 27

Chapter 27

We left my house quickly. It brought back to many bad memories. I had refused to even drive down the street where that bar was - where Ren had found me that night. I drove around for a while. I wasn\'t sure where I was going. I ended up at a Super 8 motel. I pulled into the driveway.

"Are we going to stay here?" He asked.

"I don\'t feel like driving home today...I\'m tired," I replied.

"That\'s all right. It\'s a long drive anyway. Hey! I could learn how to drive your motorcycle. Oh my God. We should get matching ones! It\'d be so cute," He said giddily.

I offered him an odd look.

"Never heard you sound so gay before in my life," I said with a raised eyebrow," You\'re starting to sound like Robin, except he think\'s motorcycles are dangerous."

"Well, one - I am gay. Anyway, sometimes I slip and end up sounding even more gay than I intended. I try not to though. I\'m not like that, but it would be fun, us on our motorcycles. Don\'t you think?"

I laughed," Whatever."

"But I like sitting behind you better. I like holding onto you while you\'re driving. I know the perfect ways to distract you, like pulling on your tail while you\'re going sixty and hearing you purr while you\'re trying to concentrate. It\'s so funny," He said with a grin," And when you try to slap me away, so I\'ll stop...but you\'re still purring all the while. I love it!"

"You\'re going to do it all the way home, aren\'t you?" I asked and felt him pick up my tail already," Don\'t you dare! Not in the parking lot of a hotel!"

He grinned wickedly, pulling me back towards him on the bike. I felt his hand run through my hair and he rubbed idly at my ears. A low purr began in my chest, but I didn\'t fight him. It was useless. His other hand tickled it\'s way down my side and began pulling on my tail.

"Such a pretty tail. I love the end of it. It\'s got a tuff of white at the tip. If your paws were like that...I\'d call you boots," He said.

"Uph! Logan...people might be watching!" I said.

"Let them watch, then," He said happily and kissed me sideways on the mouth.

I kissed him back passionately, but then took him by surprise by pushing him off my bike and grabbing my tail. I put my hand out in front of me, pointing towards the door," Go get us a hotel room!"

"Yes sir," He said with a laugh and a swing in his step," Never thought I\'d hear you say that."

He got off the bike and walked into the lobby of the hotel. I shook my head at his eagerness, but couldn\'t suppress a smile. He was so sweet. I thought about him for a moment. I remember how annoyed with him I was in the beginning; he had followed me and teased me. I remember how he had watched me the first day of orientation and I had acted like I was disgusted.

The last month had brought us so much. It was crazy. I had a boyfriend now. I was officially dating another guy. A month ago I would have cursed anyone who suggested such a thing. But with Logan it seemed so right. I loved being with him.

I had changed. I had changed a lot, in ways that even Logan would never believe. He came out of the hotel a little while later with his key card. He waved it around a little before I got off the bike and pulled out the small bag attached to the side. I slid the key into my pocket. Logan and I found a side door and went inside the older hotel. We went upstairs to the third floor.

"Did they hassle you any at the check in?" I asked from next to him.

He shook his head, "No. They were glad to take my money."

"Well, that\'s good," I said, walking a little faster to shyly take a hold of his left hand.

I looked back at me and smiled, squeezing my hand.

"Here it is. 307," Logan said, glancing at the numbers written on the card holder.

He slid the card through the reader and it flashed green. Logan opened the door and invited me in. I walked in a head of him and looked around. One bed...only one king-sized bed.

"Logan! Are you trying to hint at something here?" I asked, a little angry that he hadn\'t even asked me whether or not to get two beds.

"What? Oh...no. The lady said they were having some kind of festival this week and most of the rooms were booked. She said a lot of people had families and needed the rooms with the double beds. If you don\'t want to, then maybe we can go somewhere else or maybe-"

I waved my hand," It\'s okay. I just thought that you...you know."

"Trust me Rave, I would, but we haven\'t been dating very long. I figure that when it\'s time for it to happen, it will," He said.

I felt a little relieved. He was right. I was stupid. I should have known Logan better than that. He would never force me into anything. That I did know. I looked around the room again...there was a Jacuzzi.

"No rooms available except for one with a Jacuzzi?" I asked with a little smile.

He shrugged," It was a suite or a regular room and there wasn\'t that much difference in price, so I thought we should upgrade!"

I placed my bag on the dresser with the TV and found a small refrigerator sitting on the floor. I opened it up and saw that it was stocked with tons of food.

"The girl at the desk said we can eat whatever we want out of there, free of charge. She said it was because I had originally asked for a regular room and they didn\'t have it. It\'s kind of like a bonus, and won\'t be charged to my account," He said, squatting down next to me.

"Oh good. I\'m hungry again," I said, pulling out a diet coke and a cool bag of chocolate covered peanuts.

I opened the bag and poured some in Logan\'s hand. I sat on the bed and turned the TV on, flipped through the channels and occasionally popping a chocolate in my mouth. Logan had been sneakily coming up from behind me. However, I hadn\'t expected him to pull me backwards and pin me to the bed beneath us.

I replied eagerly, and let him kiss me gently. He had pulled my face down to him. All of a sudden I felt his hands on my waist. He caught me off guard and pulled me flush against him. He grinned and I crawled up to him with my legs on either side of his. I kissed him eagerly, getting accustomed to his smell, his taste. I liked the way he\'d run his hands over my ears, suckle on my lips, before kissing me and then letting his tongue slide in. His other hand was on my back, ushering me closer.

"Imagine doing this a month ago," He said suddenly.

"I wouldn\'t have," I replied.

He stopped kissing me and just stared up. He grabbed a hold of both my ears.

"Hold still," He instructed.

I laughed," What are you doing?"

I felt him playing with my ears, forcing the cartilage down backwards. He began laughing hysterically.

"Look...at....yourself....in....the mirror!"

I shook my head swiftly, feeling my ears go back to their normal propped up position, "You\'re so weird."

He laughed, pulling my face down to his and kissing me square on the lips," Did you know...that when you\'re sun burnt freckles come out across your nose?"

"I\'m sun burnt?" I asked, putting my hand over my nose.

He nodded," It was pretty hot this morning and you probably got sun burnt on your motorcycle."

I frowned. Yes, unfortunately I do have freckles that come out when I get too much sun, just like the rest of my family. We just had to all look so much alike and have the same skin tone, hair color, eye color, and build. Logan should be lucky to be an only child.

"I like them. They make you look like a cute little kitten...oh wait! You already are a cute little kitten," He said, pulling me towards him again and hugging me around the waist," You\'re my cute little kitty cat!"

I was going to snap back at that comment, but for some reason I liked it. I liked him calling me "his". It hadn\'t been in a possessive way, but in a loving way. And the way he said it was too funny. He began stroking my back and I rested against his chest, feeling the low hum of a purr. He was content and so was I.
