Six Pack
Mm is quite amusing at times. Hopefully he doesn't take Rel's reaction to him as him being flawed in some way. Kind of hoping he doesn't take it the other way (as other sidhe have done when a people pretends not to like them) and starts walking around naked. Read, Review and EnjoyRel woke some time later feeling strangely better. His body was ticking off the damages, but completely oblivious to the pain, it was more of a throb or a tingle in the damaged areas. He stood and shuffled to the food cart, stomach growling loudly. He ate, he went to the bathroom and when he came back…The cart was broken into pieces, ripped apart, the food was strewn across the floor and Mm was sitting in the middle of it all with a very sharp piece of metal. The Sidhe was cutting himself. “Mm, stop,” Rel rushed into the mess, heedless of the dangers of getting too close to Mm during such a tantrum, “stop.”Even as Rel came to a stop, the cut that Mm had dragged across his skin healed, skin perfectly knitting together, blood being reabsorbed into the skin. The Sidhe cut himself again, this one healing as he dragged the object across his forearm. Mm couldn’t commit suicide. Not by conventional methods, anyhow. Which relieved Rel to no end but at the same time brought up a very disturbing question. Was Mm trying to commit suicide, trying to hurt himself to relieve stress… or trying to figure out what the hell was going on? The Sidhe looked up at Rel and back at his own hand. Those swirling eyes darted to the scab on Rel’s left arm, where almost a week before Mm’s tooth had struck Rel and cut him. Mm switched hands and sliced into his left arm instead of his right. The wound healed just as quickly as the previous one. Mm let out a whine. Not understanding. Not wanting? If Rel’s family had all been slaughtered and he had survived because of a power that he didn’t know he had had, he’d be pretty upset too. “Stop,” Rel took hold of Mm’s wrist and gave a tug. It was like trying to move the earth. Mm didn’t shift with Rel’s tug, the Sidhe didn’t seem to notice anything at all. Not until a moment later when Mm tried to bat Rel’s hand away the way Rel would bat away a bug. The Sidhe’s hand paused just above Rel’s and Mm’s frown returned. Mm experimentally gave a tug of his arm, tumbling Rel into his lap. Like being yanked around by a bull. Or … someone three times your size, Rel thought with disgust. The Sidhe propped them both up on their feet and made a motion to Rel. To… Fight him? Rel had never been a strong fighter and certainly was not going to fight the being he was trying to gain the trust off. He gave his head a shake and took a step back. Mm reached out and gave Rel’s sleeve a pluck, yanking the man closer. “I don’t enjoy being jerked about like a rag doll, Mm,” Rel snapped at the Sidhe, taking a firm step backwards as he shook a finger, “you want to jerk someone around, fine, but it’s not going to be me. I haven’t done anything to be treated like this and I am upset with you.”Mm look puzzled.“Rel thinks Mm is bad,” Rel said blatantly before stalking off to the seat by the television. Rel drew his legs up to his chin, ignored his body’s protest at the motion and glared at nothing at all. Mm shuffled around Rel and sat on the floor in front of the man, a sad, sad look on his face. Rel shifted in the chair so that he didn’t have to look at Mm and glared at a new spot. The Sidhe whined loudly, a heart wrenching sound that almost made Rel give in. Almost. The man firmed his resolved and continued to glare at nothing at all. And so they sat for almost an hour. Until Rel’s joints ached from the confined position and his head was swirling. Already his stomach was growling in protest, claiming that he hadn’t eaten that day. As if by magic, the food cart rolled into the room, stopping just at the remains of the old food cart. Rel groaned and stood up. Mm leaped up like a puppy finally forgiven and bound around Rel excitedly. The man very firmly ignored Mm and shuffled to the cart. It was heaped with food. The types of food Rel had been craving even. He ate as Mm did laps around the cart and Rel, as the Sidhe did everything possible to make Rel look at him. When his stomach was full, for the first time in a long time, Rel sighed with content and plucked up the piece of paper that was slid partially under his plate. Ignoring is a Sidhe way of discipline. Two more hours should be appropriate for what he did. There is no equivalent in people discipline to describe it, as all Sidhe react to this discipline and all seem to understand that this is a very bad thing. They are social creatures, and as Mm has no tribe, the experience is worse for him. In two hours another cart of food will be delivered. At that time, speak to Mm and thus let him know that the punishment is over. Rel sighed and tucked the note back under the plate. He walked about the room, gathering up the bits of the last food cart, and stuffed as much as he could into the little cubby hole where they usually found goodies to play with or such. Mm helped, but Rel pretended not to see the Sidhe going about the room, collecting the mess he had made. A good deal of it tucked away and, as the top was cleared of food, Rel balanced the remainder atop the cart. He took his seat once more and stared off at nothing. He hadn’t been awake for so long in days. Already he was feeling sleepy and nodding off in the chair. He woke just as the next food cart rattled in the door. Rel blearily rubbed his eyes and groaned as he uncurled from the chair. “Mm, food.”The Sidhe was no where in sight. Oh fuck. Was all Rel thought. He checked under the bed before he heard the shower going in the bathroom. Rel rushed to the bathroom, very afraid of what he’d see. A naked Mm prone, bled to death in the shower? How much damage could Mm cause and how much could his body heal?Rel swung around the entrance and into the bathroom. Directly. Into. Mm. Who was very naked and very wet. And very confused as to why Rel had just slammed into his well muscled body. When had Mm had time to build muscle?Rel pulled away, confused as he looked over Mm’s body. The flesh was filling out, the scars were fading to a dappling of colour across Mm’s torso and arms. The muscle that was built was meant for running, for leaping, for quick hand movements. And that six pack of abs? Rel spun away and shut his eyes tight, just as the thought of Mm’s bare ass popped into his head. Not. Funny. “Food,” Rel managed out, “Mm, the food is here.”“Lel?” Rel squeezed his eyes shut until he heard the rustle of a towel. Only then, praying it was safe, did he peek over his shoulder. Mm was in the motion of dressing, towel dropped to the side. Mm blinked at Rel as he tugged his shirt down over that six pack. The Sidhe’s head cocked to the side. “Lel?”“Food,” he motioned to the living area and left the bathroom quickly, not wanting to have a discussion about any of that at all. Not wanting to encourage his mind’s desire to strip Mm naked. Damn it all to hell. .
