is a lesson ever learned?

is a lesson ever truely learned? or does it take more then once to learn something thats important?
so much has happened since last time i updated this, des and geos son and daughter are both growing, des has been struggling to balance her life due to the latest trouble thats arrisen at home and my lifes changed as well for the better in my opinion.
i'll start at the beginning with des, her and geo got turned in for supposedly neglecting their kids with a supposed dirty home(their home is spotless, well as spotless as possible with four kids running around it since we all live with geos bio mom and her husband and two kids, who also got turned in). had state wind up in our home for an entire week damn near of 24/7 supervision to see how the kids are tended to. then on july 24th geo gets arrested for bs charges that they are trying to pin him for when theres someone lse inthe neighborhood same name as him who we are all positive commited the crime (cops are fucking prejudiced and not even looking at the other guy) so hes been in jail almost a month and hasnt been able to be around to help care for his kids. which makes living with des hell, bc shes stressed out and worried all the time now. they had court yesterday for the neglect charge in which they got assigned counsel and got another court date for the 26th, thanks to the moron DA leaving too many holes in the case, i mean come on who files the paperwork on the case then doesnt get back in touch with DHHS before the court date????? but judge is takign full advantage of the holes in the case to push this through as fast as possible which is great because those two really dont need two trials going on and stressing them out, bad enough they only get to see each other a couple times a week and even then they cant touch or comfort each other so thats got to be hard on them.
then my life gets changed all thanks to a supposed friend turning out to be a bitch from hell, been friends with her most my life, trusted her more then i do alot of people and she turned around and knowing that my confidence in myself aint that good, she goes and sabotages it even more before going on and saying shit about my boyfriend dark, which caused me to lose my temper and a fight to start, which des broke up after a while. cue the end of a long friendship then not even two days later my ex friend tries to kill herself on webcam with me, naturally i dont let her and i message her husbands phone and get him in there to help her before she can do too much damage, shes currently still in hospital on a suicide watch as her family tries to figure out what to do with her. since then though its been weird for me at least its like a lot of weights been lifted off my shoulders and im more relaxed then i used to be.
then last night after court and everythings done, i get handed the money to go get wine coolers ^.^ so once i bring them home des and i go drink for drink(meaning whenever one of us thats a drink the other one does to) to see who gets drunk first, which sadly i have a very very low alcohol tolerance so i go drunk first but managed to finish the drink, woke up with a killer headache and a hangover from hell, my lesson for the night, 1) never try to outdrink my cousin,2) never drink on an almost empty stomach(hadnt eaten supper before drinking) and 3) never drink warm alcohol >.<
somehow i doubt ive actually learned the lesson, but never know maybe i have after all it was my first time doing all three of those, guess we wait and see if i get drunk again what i do, lol
