Chapter Twenty Three
CHAPTER 23:
The wind hit Kiyoshi hard across his face. Kiyoshi noticed that when Chen flew, she seemed to go much quicker and was speedier compared to Luke. Of course, overall Kiyoshi believed that Luke wanted to keep him safe as they flew.
Examining the scenery surrounding them, Kiyoshi began to realize that Chen was flying in a direction Kiyoshi has never been through before. He felt confused, not sure of what Luke and the others would be doing all the way out here; a dusty old neighborhood that smelt like that of a mix of smoke and sewer wastage.
“Chen” Kiyoshi shouted at the top of his lungs; the weather was horrible, “Are you sure this is the right way!”
“Of course I’m sure!”
Kiyoshi strained to hear Chen’s answer. Petite tears began to form at the tips underneath his eyes from the wind brushing past them and he also felt his nose beginning to run. He tried moving his hand to help wipe his eyes and nose, but Chen had a tight grasp around him. She seemed desperate to not let Kiyoshi go.
The journey to find Luke seemed to take forever. Kiyoshi was sure that they had been flying overhead for at least two hours or more. His eyes began to dreary once adjusted to the blowing wind. He would’ve fully fallen asleep, but then…
“There,” Chen whispered, “That’s where he is.”
Kiyoshi widened his eyes and looked down upon a strange factory; different from the one where Luke and the gang live. This one was larger. The pipes surrounding the building were a dull gray color and dark black smoke rose from many openings of fat pipes pointing towards the sky. Kiyoshi only had one thought that escaped through his lips: “Why would Luke be here?”
With her cape flailing about behind her, Chen comes to a landing on the steel floor below. She has landed on the factory’s rooftop. Setting Kiyoshi down, Chen began to look around. Kiyoshi saw a strange spookiness in Chen’s eyes.
“Chen,” Kiyoshi whispered; most of his voice was cut off by the noises of the factory, “Where is Luke? Where is he?”
“Stay here,” Chen replied, “I’ll go find him. With you in my arms you’ll just slow me down.”
Kiyoshi was about to protest, but then Chen gave him a terrifying glare. This made Kiyoshi sink back.
“Don’t move from this spot.” With that said, Chen flew off leaving Kiyoshi alone.
--
It felt like hours, though it was only about ten minutes. Kiyoshi had been standing in the dark for nearly eleven minutes now and he began to grow frightened and pissed. Chen had not yet returned with Luke, Ivalyn; nobody!
Another fierce shiver made its way up Kiyoshi’s body. He tightened his arms around his body, desperately trying to keep warm.
Kiyoshi began to wonder if perhaps Chen had been lying to him. He always had this feeling she disliked him and now she’s probably left him up here to die from the cold night air. She had not given him enough time to put on at least a jacket or coat. She rushed him into coming and he believed her. He believed that Luke was in some type of trouble, or if he had something special to show Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi was about ready to give up. He got up from where he sat on the cold steel floor. Searching around, Kiyoshi was hoping that maybe there was a door somewhere made for a fire escape. About ready to take a look around, Kiyoshi’s heart leaped at the sound of a clinking noise from behind him. Sharply spinning on his toes, Kiyoshi turned to stare at a hidden shadow. Fear traced over Kiyoshi’s face.
“L, Luke,” Kiyoshi struggled to find words, “Luke? Luke is that you?”
Silence followed Kiyoshi’s words. The shadow did not move for a good while, but eventually the hidden shadow slightly moved.
“You,” answered the shadow, “Are not even close.”
Kiyoshi did not recognize the voice. Who was that covering within the shadows? Kiyoshi just stayed still.
The shadow figure moved out a tad more and the only visible part of it was a dark black glove. Kiyoshi held his head high as the shadow’s deep, masculine voice spoke again: “That clean black hair, those dazzling blue eyes, that fair peach skin. My eyes are not mistaken. It is you.” Kiyoshi only stared in silence as the shadow went on, “After, what has it been? Almost nineteen years? Yes, such a long time and such an interesting way for the two of us to be reacquainted, Kiyoshi.”
“How do you know my name?”
“Kiyoshi, Kiyoshi, Kiyoshi,” the shadow spoke with disappointment, “Do you not recognize my voice?” Kiyoshi did not and could only shake his head at the hidden man. The man gave off a snicker, thinking of this as some type of amusing discovery, “Then I shall remind you with a few words from the past.”
Kiyoshi pressed his back against the wall. The shadowy man’s voice changed; growing darker as he slowly made his way out of the hidden shadows.
“You disappoint me, Alice,” the shadow spoke these past words slowly to Kiyoshi, “You knew well enough that you could not escape your fate.” Kiyoshi’s eyes began to widen in fear as this shadowy man speaks; more then half of his body has immerged from the shadows, “So, you have a son. Kiyoshi, is it? He looks just like his Asian father.” Kiyoshi’s body began to tremble; his own mind began to make flashbacks of one horrible night; of that one horrible night.
--
“Mommy,” a young Kiyoshi tried stepping closer to his mother, “What’s going on mommy?”
“Nothing Kiyoshi,” the mother answered in a lie, hoping her son would listen to her, “Go back into the other room.”
--
“No,” the shadow continued as if reading Kiyoshi’s devastating flashbacks, “Not yet. He should witness who his real father should’ve been.” Kiyoshi let a warm tear release from his eyes as this man came into view. Long silvery hair, dark coal colored eyes; that ghostly white skin. The one man who had murdered his father, his mother, and his life was standing here before him.
“No…” Kiyoshi found himself struggling to stand, “No, no…” The flashbacks grew worse. The screams; his mother’s screams. Tears streaked down her cheeks, her entire body tensed up, and her eyes were the most frightening of all to stare at.
--
“No,” the mother screamed, “Kiyoshi…!”
--
The blood; oh the blood! Kiyoshi was not with himself. He could remember her final screams. She had called out for him as her life was taken. As her body fell apart; the blood splattered across the floor, the picture he had drawn; the roses in the vase. It was all gone! She was gone; murdered by the hands of this man standing before Kiyoshi. The man known as Ra.
“You,” Kiyoshi could feel the blood in his body heat with anger, “You…murderer.”
“I’m glad to see you remember me,” Ra speaks as he sets his hand over his chest, “It touches me, Kiyoshi. It really does. And I’m surprised to see you, but luckily for me a little birdie told me that you, the son of my puppet, has finally found your own mate for life. Luke; you’re his puppet, aren’t you?”
Kiyoshi was surprised by this. His eyes widened by the mentioning of his puppet. “You know Luke?”
“So it’s true,” Ra snickered, “Yes, I know Luke. That repulsing, trifling, good for nothing imbecile who took over my job…”
“What,” Kiyoshi stuttered, “Are you saying?”
“I once ran that little group of his,” Ra could see the shock in Kiyoshi’s eyes, “I was leader when he joined the group. I hate to admit it, but following beside me he’s the second most powerful immortal I’ve ever seen. Damned bastard took over the little group and I was kicked out. I could have easily murdered them all, but I saw no point in doing so. Of course, knowing me, ridding the world of those who are weaker and less fortunate then others is one of my natural hobbies.”
Kiyoshi growled at the thought of Ra’s disturbing pastimes. His whole mind seemed completely twisted. “What do you want with me?”
“Why,” Ra began, “All I wished for was a little visit.” Ra began to move closer to Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi felt his body shivering more then it has been and behind him Kiyoshi could feel the cold wall. He was trapped like a bug under thick ice. “Don’t look so alarmed, “Ra whispered, “I’m not here to hurt you.” Sliding his tongue out and over his lips, Ra moved his hand to push down Kiyoshi’s tee-shirt. A relaxed expression drew across Ra’s face as he smiled down at Kiyoshi’s P tattoo. “The mark,” Ra whispered, “Of Luke’s puppet. Hah, I find it simply repulsive that two men were chosen to be mates for life. It’s just sickening! However, at the same time it’s quite, oh how should I say this?” Ra moved his eyes from the tattoo to Kiyoshi’s scared blue eyes, “It’s quite interesting.”
Kiyoshi’s body tripled in trembles as the tip of Ra’s finger softly glided over Kiyoshi’s cheek.
“I wonder Kiyoshi,” Ra continued to speak; “Has Luke kissed you? Has he yet had his way with you? Heh, does he even want to? Your body, it is so puny, so fragile. It’d be heartbreaking if something were to happen to it.” A lump formed at the back of Kiyoshi’s throat as Ra’s face drew closer to his own, “I do wonder, what it’s like to kiss another man? I have kissed and had my way with many women; including your pitiful mother, but a man? No, that’s something entirely new to me.” Ra’s sinister smile grew scarier, “Let’s see, shall we? Entertain me, won’t you?”
Kiyoshi barely had time to react as the lips of Ra forcefully pushed against his own. Kiyoshi’s breath caught by this sudden kiss nearly made him choke on his own spit. He wanted to push Ra away; he wanted to run, but his body was frozen in place. His mind couldn’t think. All he could do was call out mumbling screams. What was this taste? It was blood. Kiyoshi didn’t even notice that Ra had purposely bit down on his bottom lip. And then, with a forceful tug, Kiyoshi was falling hard to the steel floor. Ra hovered over him.
“That was quite interesting indeed,” Ra hoarsely spoke, “Now I want to know something else, Kiyoshi. What’s it like to fuck another man? Tell me, have you and Luke gone this far?” Kiyoshi did not answer, but Ra could see that Kiyoshi has had sex with Luke, “I see. Quite the entertainer, then? Do you please Luke well enough? Oh I do hope so. That way, it’ll make this more entertaining.” Kiyoshi let out a little whine as Ra swiftly rips his shirt open. Kiyoshi could feel his nipples perk at the feeling of the cold, “Yes,” Ra whispered while licking his lips, “This will be much more entertaining.”
“No,” Kiyoshi yelled in his mind as Ra came down and hungrily bit at his cold right nipple, “Please don’t! Stop it, please! Somebody, anybody please help me! Oh God…Luke, I’m sorry! I’m SORRY!”
