“Like I had started to tell you Cassandra, they decided to train me to sell, and Jinny to be able to work for them. Well about my sixteenth birthday they found out I was with child, and not just any child, the child of the Trade’s punisher.”
Alexis had seated her self into a chair and watched the reaction play across Cassandra’s face. She had told the story to Gabriel a few years ago.
“Wait..! He’s the punisher!” Cassandra said pointing at Gabriel.
“Well yes, he is now, he obviously hasn’t always been. Cassandra let me explain.” Alexis said softly before continuing.
“Since I was with child I was no longer sellable, and the baby was neither sellable nor abortable because it was the punishers. So they told me that they would decide the fate of the child depending on its gender. If I had a little girl she would be doomed and put to death upon birth because unsellable women are of little use to the Trade. If I had a little boy he would take he fathers place at the Trade and I would become the former punishers slave.”
Alexis paused and looked at Gabriel regaining her strength before continuing.
“I ended up having Gabriel, so the Trade got him and I got your father.”
Alexis looked at her two children and thought to her self how strange it was to have them both together. She saw fear dance in Cassandra’s eyes, and a voice rang out from behind her that made her blood run cold. A hand reached out and grasped Alexis’ hair, forcing her to her feet.
“Why didn’t you tell me that our slutly little whore of a daughter would be visiting?”
The man asked menacingly as he turned Alexis to face him. He looked up from Alexis ad saw Gabriel rising from his chair.
“So were having a happy little family reunion!” he said softly “Wells allow me to join the fun and advance the festivities.”
He said as he threw Alexis to the ground causing her head to be hit on the side of the table knocking her out cold. He rounded and took a fierce hold on Cassandra’s arm and began to drag her towards the couch she had sprung from when her mother hit the floor.
“Father that is enough, your inebriated and not in your right mind, I mean look what you did to mother!”
Gabriel said gesturing to his mother on the floor. Alexis had sat up but her head hurt and she felt as if she would die. The man laughed and bent down grabbing Alexis by the hair at the nape of her neck and began to walk down the hall dragging both his daughter and wife behind him.
“Jacob please don’t do this!” Alexis pleaded. Jacob stopped moving and smiled softly.
“Oh, but Alexis were going to have so much fun. If Gabriel is a good boy I might not force him to endure his beloved mothers’ torture.” He said as he began dragging the women down the hall again.
