Chapter 23

The Sea Noose

I took a deep breath, my lungs filling to their maximum with air as I lied underneath Cian, my arms wrapped around his neck. He kissed me softly, his eyes soft and gentle as he stared into my scared and nervous ones. He smiled softly as I exhaled slowly, letting my legs fall to to sides of his hips as the tip of him pressed against my opening.

“I'm ready...” he leaned down and kissed me as his hips pressed forward and his cock pressed into my folds. I gasped softly, my nails slightly digging into his back as he penetrated me for the first time. He leaned up slightly, panting with the effort of keeping a slow pace as he entered me.

“God, Kassy...” he gasped. I sucked in a sharp breath as his resolve broke and his hips snapped forward, pressing himself completely into me. He stilled, looking down at me with worried eyes.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... I just...” I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, clenching around him tightly. He gasped, his hips snapping forward again, his arms almost collapsing under him. I panted harshly as I smiled up at him.

“You like that, huh?” before he could answer, I clenched around him tighter. He leaned back, his hands coming to grip my hips as he grinned at me.

“So that's how you wanna play...” he pulled out almost all the way before thrusting back in to the hilt. I gasped and threw my head back, my arms resting above my head, gripping the pillow tightly.

“Oh, god...” I thrust my hips up against his as he started thrusting into me slowly. His fingers were gripping my hips, though not hard enough to bruise, but firm enough to keep my hips from bucking wildly. His thumbs were rubbing the skin over my hip bones as my thighs were brushing against his.

He started thrusting harder, his length filling me completely over and over again. I tried to buck my hips against him as he continued to thrust into me, but his grip on my hips kept me from moving much against him. I mewled softly as he started thrusting faster, one of his hands moving one of my legs over his shoulder, a soft squeak coming from my throat as he hit a deeper spot within me. He leaned back down, my back arching up against him from the stretching of my leg.

His lips found my neck, biting down hard, leaving a mark in its wake. I gasped, my muscles clenching around him once more. He groaned and thrusted harder into me. I started wriggling my hips as much as I could and clenching my muscles around him. He was panting harshly when he attacked my neck again, the small hollow area above my collar bone, his teeth bitting at my skin roughly. I moaned and arched against him.

“God, Cian...” he bit my neck harder, his teeth coming close to breaking my skin.

“I'm so close, Kassy... so close...” he breathed against my neck. I nodded, my head turning, offering him my neck, my muscles clenching as tightly as they could. He groaned loudly into my neck, his hips snapping forward once more, harder than before, and he came within me. A moment later, I followed him, my muscles spasming around his semi-pulsing member.

His chest was heaving, his arms shaking as he pushed himself backwards, my leg feeling numb as it moved with him, still hooked over his shoulder. He smiled at me, a sated smile and slowly and gently moved my leg off of his shoulder. I groaned softly as my leg was able to get blood circulating regularly again. One of his hands held my hips steady as he slowly pulled himself out. I mewled softly at the loss, but smiled happily when he leaned down to kiss me. My arms wrapped themselves around his neck and pulled him down next to me, his arms wrapping themselves around my waist and pulling me half-way on top of him.

“I...” he pressed a finger to my lips, smiling at me.

“You don't have to say anything, Kassy. I know.” I smiled, my cheeks flushing slightly and rested my head on his chest, closing my eyes. He brushed my hair away from my face with his hand, his fingers gently combing through my black locks as I sighed softly, nuzzling my nose against him affectionately.

“You were amazing.” I smiled against his chest and pushed myself upward, making my face level with his.

“I wasn't the one who was amazing. That was you, Cian.” I leaned down and kissed him, my voice soft and loving. He cupped my cheek, his thumb lightly stroking my skin.

“I must disagree with you, though I hate doing so. You are the one who was absolutely perfect, not me, love.” my eyes widened slightly. He smiled. “Yes, that's right. Love. I think I like calling you love, so you better get used to it.” my eyes misted over for the millionth time and I smiled brightly.

“I love you, Cian.” I pressed my lips against his, my hand coming up to stroke his cheek, my body moving so that I was lying almost completely on top of him. He kissed back passionately.

“I love you too, Kassy. Never doubt that... and if you do doubt it, even for a moment, tell me and I'll gladly prove to you many times over that I'll always love you. No matter what happens, Kassy. I'll always love you.” I sniffed and nodded, bringing my hand to my face to wipe away a few tears that had spilt over and down my face. Cian smiled, his hand joining mine to wipe away my tears.

“I'm sorry, Kassy... I didn't mean to make you cry.” I laughed softly, more tears falling silently from my eyes, shaking my head.

“It's not your fault... I'm just being emotional, that's all. I've never had someone...” I hiccuped softly and he held me tighter, rolling us on our sides and kissed my cheek softly.

“I understand, Kassy, I do. You've never had someone love you like I do. You've never had someone so willing to stay with you and prove themselves to you as many times as you need to be sure of their love for you.” he smiled softly, cupping my cheek. “Really, Kassy, I know. It's ok. I'm here to stay, so I'm going to have to get used to you getting emotional sometimes.”

More tears spilt down my face as I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly, my face pressing against his neck. He tightened his arms around my waist and pulled me as close as I was able to go, one of his hands rubbing my back in small circles.

“It's ok, Kassy... you can cry, it's ok.” I hiccuped again and sniffled into his neck softly. He held me close as I cried happily into his neck, his arms never letting me go and his hands never stopping their effort to calm me.

I sucked in a deep breath, stretching my arms over my head, letting them fall back down when I heard my back pop softly. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and started to bend over, stopping when a soreness in a place where I hadn't been sore in a long time made itself known to me. I sighed softly, picking up the clothes from the floor and took them into the bathroom, tossing them into the hamper. I walked back into the bedroom, moving over to the dresser and doing my best to ignore the empty bed behind me.

I pulled out a pair underwear and a pair of short cotton shorts and a black tank top, slipping them on quickly. I left the bedroom and walked into the living room, noticing the newly burning maple log in the hearth, the flames already having fun devouring the wood. I sighed softly, curling up on the couch when I shivered. I pulled my legs up to my chest and rested my head on my knees, trying to ignore the fact that Cian had left before I woke up.

True, Vitas wasn't here either, but if he had taken Vitas outside, he should've been back by now. It takes almost an hour for a log to be burned that much, and I should know, having spent days on end just sitting in front of the fireplace, watching the logs burn and die. I closed my eyes, sighing softly, letting the warmth from the fire wash over me and relax me. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly, the tense muscles in my shoulders and back seeming to loosen entirely on their own.

I opened my eyes and watched the log as it was being eaten alive by the fire, the flames licking at the burnt wood, causing it more damage and death. I huffed and let my eyes fall closed once more, the heat from the fire lulling me back into slumbering.
