Origin: Fate of Elgard's Eye

HammerFall Beginnings: The Fate of Elgard and His Eye :

(Author's Note, the stormblade mentioned in this story is the very first Stormblade, his descendents took his first name as their last name.: )

He stood upon the cliff overlooking the sea. In his hand dangled the transparent orb from a golden chain. It's powers were from a time long before Elgard; but since he had worn it, and used it to fight back against the demons it had become known among lesser wizards as Elgard's Eye. His long black hair flowed on the wind as it pushed against the waves crashing far below against the rocks.

Elgard had turned to look into those sapphire jewels upon feeling the hand clamped down over his shoulder. Their was a dark power that lurked still within the young warrior. Despite Elgard's great age of three hundred years old he still felt young enough to handle the silver haired warrior.

A faint smile touched the face of Elgard, "So you have followed me even into the furtherest island of the West? Do you think...."

His words were silenced as those lips pressed down upon the wizard. Elgard found his slender fingers clasped onto the sides of the silver haired one's face. He pressed back with as much need. For so long had the two kept their emotions from showing. Neither wanted to show weakness or desire before the other until the war had finally come to a truce. The Demon Lords had been pushed deep into the East of the continent. It would be nearly a thousand years before they caused trouble again. The dark haired wizard had seen that much in the green orb that had become known as the Elgard's Eye.

He pushed away the silver haired male; breaking the kiss and panting very slightly. He sadly shook his head, "It cannot be, Stormblade. I have come here to make it less hard on you. With this, " he held out the necklace that bore Elgard's Eye, "I shall continue to protect the West. I still have my duty, as do you Stormblade."

Those strong fingers tightly gripped onto Elgard's shoulders. The dark haired mage winced in pain. His words boiled forth with passion, "Never! What do you think I was fighting for, Elgard? I was fighting to keep you and your tribe safe from the Demon Lords. My duty is to you and you alone, Elgard."

He winced again as the grip became more firm; the fingers bruising his soft shoulders, "Stop it....that hurts, Stormblade."

Elgard felt sore even though the warrior had released his grip. Elgard's free hand rubbed his hurting shoulder. He looked at the possesive warrior.

"You have to understand. It is for something more important then us that I do this, Stormblade."

His hand gently caressed Stormblade's smooth, porcelain white cheek. He pressed his dull, cherry red lips to those of Stormblade. His tongue licked along the lips before entering into Stormblade's mouth. His slender fingers tightly grasped onto the long strands of silver as Stormblade shoved him onto the ground.

The silver haired warrior straddled the wizard's hips, "What will you do? You talk as though you plan on killing yourself."

Tears brimmed in the eyes of Elgard. He had wanted to spare them this; but Stormblade had followed him even to this remote part of the West. His hand still clutched that strand of silver hair from the warrior's head, "I suppose as far as you are concerned....yes. I am going to kill myself. At least that's how you would see it."

"I won't let you, Elgard! I only now realized this love burning inside me is all I desire and I won't let you be taken away from me." He heatedly told the wizard.

Elgard smiled through his tears, "You have no powers against wizardry. You never had the desire to learn it. So you cannot stop me."

He leaned down so that their lips were just barely touching as he plead with his eyes; but no where else. Elgard's arms wrapped around Stormblade and held him tightly. His dexterious hands gently caressed down the backside of the silver haired male. He felt the other's hands starting to pull open the robes without taking any care; whether they ripped from the pegs being pulled out or not. In truth it did not matter to the wizard either. He decided that he would allow the warrior to lay with him, and then he would fulfill the duty while the other slept. The dark haired mage felt it would be best if his lover did not have to watch.

Coldness filled his body. His nipples became hard simply from the freezing ocean air. He winced slightly as he felt those lips pressed and sucking very hard onto his collar bone. His torso completely exposed to Stormblade. The mouth left a trail of kisses down the body of the wizard; stopping at clothed crotch to suckle on it. Elgard moaned in pleasure. He felt his shaft hard and pressing against the silken cloth; screaming for release from his clothing as his fingers tightly grasped into that mountain of silver hair. Finally Stormblade pulled back, and pulled the remaining clothing from Elgard's body. The hard member pointed directly before Stormblade's face. The warrior's warm tongue teasingly licked over the tip of Elgard's hardon. He wanted his shaft inside the warmth of Stormblade's mouth, and out of the cold air.

Elgard found his legs lifted upwards and thrown reckless over those broad shoulders. He gave out a loud cry. The first thrust filled him with pain as his muscles were pushed against their will. The thick, hard on thrusted in and out several times inside of him. He cried out in pain, and yet he felt a slight pleasure from it. He found it odd how often pleasure and pain were but thin lines. His hands clutched at the rock earth. Blood dripped from his hands as the sharp rocks poked into his flesh from his squeezing them. His body arched upward with the desire to have his own hard member administered. Sticky pre-seed leaked from the tip of his shaft. Elgard's body slightly rocked with each thrust inward and out.

Stormblade released as he pulled out of the wizard's body. His breath panting heavily as his lips fully took in Elgard's hardon. Elgard let out a cry of pleasure as he felt those lips wrapped around the erection. The warmth now had completely flooded over him; perspiration gleaming on both their bodies. It did not take much longer before the wizard released; white sperm filled the silver haired warrior's mouth. He drank the white liquid with a smirk upon his face. He laid there beside Elgard; panting and smirking. Stormblade's arms wrapped possesively around the dark haired male as he fell asleep; clinging to the wizard.

Elgard's hands reached towards the fallen amulet known as Elgard's Eye. The transparent orb levitated from the ground into his open palm. His eyes closed as he sent forth all his essence and life force into the orb. His body slowly vanished as the orb pulsated green, until all that was left of Elgard was the relic known as Elgard's Eye.

*****************************

Stormblade's hands frantically felt around for Elgard; but they caught hold of only stones and earth. His eyes snapped wide open. The silver haired warrior abruptly sat up. He looked around in panic. There was no body, no blood, no footprints, nothing. Then the glimmering green orb caught his eye. It was the same color as the eyes of Elgard.

The warrior snatched up the Eye of Elgard and held it tightly to his chest. It was all he had left of Elgard. He stood up, and walked to the edge of the cliff. The great chasm of blue known as the ocean stood before him. He looked out; but saw no sign of Elgard. He didn't want to believe that the wizard had sacrificed himself. He decided to return back to the West. Stormblade knew that this time he could not be where Elgard had gone. Even if the wizard was still alive and had gone further west then the Western Isles no sane man would take him beyond the island he already stood upon. There was only ocean passed this part of the continent for none had ever come back once they had gone into the Far West.

Stormblade walked away from the cliffs. His face apathetic as he strode back to the ship he had hired to come the Western Isles. The voyage back to the continent had not taken longer then a week. He soon stepped foot onto the continent; but the lands freedom brought no peace of mind to Stormblade. He returned to his children; but none held his heart as Elgard had.

*************************

Stormblade had grown old over the passage of years. The Elgard's Eye worn secretly under his leather armor he had come to the Assemble of the HammerFall King. He sat at the petitioner's table with the King and his other generals; but his mind was never on politics. He wanted another war. He craved it. Stormblade wanted to kill. He was still a warrior and killing was the only thing he knew or wanted to do since the death of the powerful wizard.

He felt somethign strange stir in himself. He stood up; being pulled away from the heated discussion of merchant rights. He strode towards the exit; unheeding of their calling him. Stormblade felt as though someone else was moving his body.

He found himself in the corridor outside the king's hall. The warrior's eyes nearly watered as he saw the young boy ease dropping at the door. He looked like Elgard; only much younger. Their facial features were not the same color nor the hair. The boy had hair more red then a flame of hell; but those deep emerald eyes. He knew them anywhere. He knelt before the boy and toussled his hair.

"You should not listen in on your elders. You should be busy with your chores, young man." He scolded the little red head.

"But Master did send me here, sir knight."

He spoke in a quiet and ashamed voice as he kicked at the flagstone with the tip of his boot, "Master Wizard Rosenbrim, sire. He wanted me to see if I would be noticed. He wanted to test the new King. How.....how did you see through the spell?"

Stormblade smiled softly to himself at the corner of his right side of his lip. The knight of HammerFall took the Eye of Elgard from around his neck. His hands placed the golden chain around the youth's neck, "What is your name, boy?"

"Alaric Rosenbrim." He answered honestly.

"Master Rosenbrim, protect this orb with your life. It is the Eye of Elgard. Let none know you posses it. Fore it is a powerful relic from the Demon Wars." Stormblade told the youth.

His small hands came up to the necklace to pull it off. Stormblade's own hands grasped onto Alaric's small ones. They felt so tiny in his large hands; which somehow felt clumsy now; despite their strength. He had never before took enough interest in children to notice how small and delicate they were before this moment.

Alaric told him firmly, "It is to great a thing for me to have. I am only a novice. You should give this to Master Rosenbrim. He would know better then I how to make use of this."

His voice whispered, "I am trusting only you with this. I believe it was the Eye itself that guided me, and broke your spell of concealment. So take it."

Stormblade stood up then as one of the king's guards came out to see why he had left the chambers. Stormblade dismissed the guard with only a gesture, and returned to the tedium that was government without war. The youth watched after the aged warrior as he walked away.

The silver haired man found it very hard to stay awake during all these peaceful converstations. He was a man of war; not words and diplomancy so he did not see why he had to even be there. He sat silent and stoic the image that would soon become always associated with the family of Stormblade that he had founded upon deciding to stay in HammerFall.

THE END.
