Serenity

“Wedding bells sing out across the land! Tis time for Prince Silvan and the Royal lady Serenity to join hand in hand! Lord and ladies come one and all. Its time to come to the great hall. Bring your loved ones and bring your friends! Its about time for the wedding of the century to begin!”

The Man bounced down the streets of Corinthia in joyous glee. He sang out his praises to the people and announced the long awaited wedding to them.

“ Hurry now and gather around! Can you hear the wedding bells sound?”

The jester man crouched down. He cupped his hand to his ear. The people were giggling and laughing. All were dressed in their best. Even the peasants of the land were going. All people were welcome here. Varian and Corinthian people both gathered into the great hall of the palace. Their king was a changed man and the people were on their way to being united as a whole once again.

“The bells!!” The jester laughed and jumped up. “Its time its time!! Go and see the wedding and quit listening to this fools rhymes!”

People were rushing down the road. The great hall and more was filles to the brim. King Tamin sat on his throne before them all. He was a bit saddened though. He was intrigued in the lady Sarai but now she had her husband. Oh well, there was enough time to be sad later. For now it was time to celebrate!

“Welcome one and all.” Veleska appeared before the people. She wore robes of silver and white. Her hair was pulled back into a braid. She looked ravishing as any Avatar for a goddess should. “I am proud to join here today, the Royal Lady Serenity to our Prince Silvan of Corinthia. “ She motioned her hand to the large, closed double doors. They opened slowly and birds of all colors fluttered into the air.

People ohhd and gasped. A scene even more beautiful than the birds followed. Serenity stepped forward. Her gown was more grand than the last she had worn. It took six girls to follow and hold the traine of the wedding dress. Her hair was up in a beautiful up do. Curls were held in place by small, tiny little butterfly clasps. The veil of sheer white fell over her and accented the jade green of her eyes. The eyes were only made more beautiful by the same wedding ball mask she’d word previously.

“Beautiful..”

Many people spoke it. Serenity looked ravishing. Her mother and father sat in the very front of the row. Her mother, of course, was in tears. Her father was a proud man and people actually respected him this time for being that way. Silvan looked as handsome as ever in his platinum armor. He awaited his lady love by the alter. This time it was real . This time nothing would stop him from marrying his vision of beauty and love.

The music started. Soft sounds of flutes and bells filled peoples ears. Serenity walked forward and a little girl all dressed in silver lead the way. She dropped silver and white rose petals along the path for Serenity to walk on.

“My love..” Silvan whispered.

“Silvan.”

Serenity looked up at him. Her smile was never so bright as it was right now. She was about to marry her perfect dream. Veleska stepped forward and held up a ribbon. It was purple and had silver edging around it.

“Let those who have come with menace and ill content see that nothing can penetrate your loves bond. Let those who have come with love and hope in their hearts for you only make your bond even more special.”

Serenity blushed a bright crimson. Silvan stepped to her and pulled the veil back from over her eyes. He had tears in his eyes. Serenity had tears in hers.

“None shall come between my love an I. I will always be your princely knight in shining armor my love.” Silvan placed the second part to her ring upon her left hand. “I promise you this forever and for always.”

“Silvan..”Serenity was choked up. She forgot what she was going to say! “I ..” she trembled. “I love you Silvan.” She wrapped her arms around him. “Forever and for always.”

Their lips met in perhaps one of the worlds most passionate kisses. People gasped and the cheers started. Women were crying and men were holding their ladies close. Sarai was a mess of emotions. Kristian even shed a tear or two. He could not have been more proud of his daughter.

“Let once was separate be now joined as one.”

Veleska wrapped the ribbon around them as they kissed. The people cheered even louder and once again the wedding bells sounded. Their melody sang out across the land. It told people near and far that Prince Silvan and Lady Serenity were now one. Their kiss ended and the couple turned to look at all of the people gathered.

Veleska stood behind them and spread her hands open. Peoples gasped. They swore they could see the outline of six wings form behind her.

“Ohh...”

The crowd gasped. People were in awe. Serenity blinked. She followed other peoples gaze over her shoulder to look at Veleska. Her hair blew back gently. She had on a gown of white. The material flowed like the wind its self. Six angel wings were indeed there. It brought her and Silvan to their knees before the goddess figure. She had come to bless their wedding. How much more perfect could one day get? Well? There was still the honeymoon.

“May your each and every day be more precious than the last. It is my heart felt wish to kneel before you on this day instead of you kneeling before me. Arise King Silvan. Arise Queen Serenity.”

Silvan stood slowly. Serenity pulled her self up and stood beside him. Their eyes met with the eyes of the goddess in silenced wonder. She had one green eye of jade and one eye of silver. Her eyes were no longer close like they were depicted before. The statues at the temple always showed them to be closed.

“You need never kneel before me. It is I who kneel before you.” The goddess extended her hands palm out and she knelt down on one knee. She bowed her head to them. “My gifts to the king and queen.”

Even more ohhs sounded. Serenity felt a different weight on her head. She looked at Silvan a moment. Silvan looked to her. Both saw a Crown of pure white gold upon one another’s heads. Silvan’s was the larger and more masculine with its tri points. Each point had a gem stone on the end. On the left was purple. On the right was green and in the center was a multi colored stone that shone like aurora borealis its self. Serenity’s own crown matched his.

“Thank you..” Serenity turned to thank the goddess but she was no longer there. In her place was two scepters to match the crowns. “Silvan..look.”

“The goddess has blessed our union. “

Silvan whispered. With that he pulled his wife into his arms again and kissed her even more passionately than the first time, if that were possible. Sarai, Kristian, Tamin, and a re-appeared Veleska started to clap. The crowd behind them soon joining. They had finally gotten their happy ending, for now at least.
