Evil Elementals, Death to a particular Elemental... and...Tempest?
Inside the Evil Elemental hideout.
Lava and Hurricane talked.
“Hmm... what do you think of that ‘newer’ elemental, Shadow was it?” Lava laughed.
“Fake, definitely.” Hurricane said, “He probably can’t even cast a circle.”
“I know...he’s probably weak.” Lava smiled. “We do have new news from Dr. Cross... he wants us to take out another Elemental.”
“Which one?” Hurricane asked, sitting back on the couch that he and Lava sat on.
“Hmm... how about Flood?” Lava smiled.
“You mean the female that survived our last attempt, when we killed Bud?”
“Yes...sounds perfect...here’s the deal.” Lava grabbed the other evil and started whispering.
***
“Shadow...”
“Hmm, yes Flame?”
“Wow... where did you get that hat?” Flame said, “It looks oddly real.”
“Don’t touch it.” Shadow pulled back. Everyone was sitting around the living room, and as usual now, Shadow had his hat on his head.
Flame reached over and touched the hat, setting off the button that activated the rocket launcher.
The hat opened up and a whoosh sound was heard, then suddenly, Earth burst into flames as the rocket hit him.
“IT’S THE REAL HAT!” Flood said, “The real rocket launching hat!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Earth lay there, in pain, and Ice walked over to him, and kneeled over, “Serves you right you little prick.”
Earth groaned in pain.
Flood stood up, “I’m going to the graveyard to visit Bud’s grave...”
Leaf smiled, “Want one of us to go with you?”
“No, I’m a big girl, I can help myself...” Flood smiled, “I’ll see you guys later.”
And with that, Flood walked out of the house.
***
Soft tender steps lead the woman, clad in a black hooded robe, towards the lonely cold grave of Bud Greenery.
“...my...” Flood’s tender gentle voice echoed through the still dark graveyard. It was almost midnight when she finally got to the grave, marked with a stone pentagram.
Flood knelt down and lay her head on her husband’s grave, and sobbed a bit.
“Bud...” She sobbed softly as her tear fell down onto the cool granite. It had been a month since he died...and it hurt more and more all day.
***
In the bushes, hidden by the night, was Lava and Hurricane. Lava smiled softly as she watched Flood mourning.
“This will be simple...” Lava said, handing Hurricane a throwing axe...something less magical than most would prefer when eliminating an Elemental Super Hero.
Hurricane took the axe and nodded, “Go on and wait for me in the hideout... I don’t want you to be here incase of an ambush.”
“You go boss...” A voice behind the two spoke, “I’ll stay here with Hurricane.”
“Hey Twig.” Hurricane nodded, then smiled at Lava, “Take care...”
***
Flood lay her head on her dead husband’s grave, she heard a noise and looked up, suddenly, she felt her body in pain. Looking down, Flood realized that a throwing axe was embedded deep into her chest. She brought her fingers up to the axe and touched it before falling onto the dirt of her love’s grave.
It took minutes before the blood of the Flood seeped into the ground. Her hallow eyes remained open as she took in her last breath, and spoke her last words. “Bud... I love.......you.”
As soon as the blood seeped into the soil and touched the body of Bud, the amazing thing started to happen.
***
Leaf was taking out the trash, when he collapsed onto the driveway.
When he stood up, he wasn’t Leaf, he was infused with the angered spirit of Bud using his brother’s body.
Ice happened to look out of the window in time to see the man named Leaf vanish in a puff of smoke.
***
Twig and Hurricane walked towards the car, intending to go back to the hideout.
“So, Hurricane...”
“Yeah Twig?”
“You like Lava?”
“I like her a lot.”
“But?”
“She won’t give me the time of day...”
Suddenly, Leaf landed in front of the two men, rage in his eyes. They weren’t his eyes, but the eyes of his twin, who he had absorbed into his soul just a month before.
“What the fuck...” Twig said, just as Leaf wrapped his fingers around his throat and began to strangle the life out of him.
Hurricane gasped and started to pound on the back of Leaf, and Leaf, strangling Twig with one hand, turned around and punched Hurricane, sending him flying backwards to a tombstone, where he hit hard, and knocked the evil out.
Leaf held the man high up in the air, as the last breaths were inhaled.
“You...” Bud’s voice came out of Leaf’s lips.
Twig choked and gasped.
“You...killed my wife!” Bud roared, tightening his grip more, the man in his fingers tried to gasp and cry out, but to no avail. His lips mouthed one word as he began to black out, ‘Lava.’
“May the Mother have pity on your pathetic soul.” Bud growled as the body in his one hand grew limp, Twig was dead.
Leaf’s body dropped the dead body of Twig and turned, looking as a monster in the moonlight, towards Hurricane, who was out cold. He walked over and picked the man up by the testicles.
Hurricane came to quite suddenly, pain in his eyes and body. He gasped as Leaf lifted him up so they could see eye to eye.
Hurricane shuddered.
“You...” Leaf growled softly, the voice of Bud in him still. He growled again as he dropped the man.
Hurricane wanted to run quickly away, yet couldn’t move. Those eyes of his just stared up at him as he stared upon his death.
Leaf set his boot hard against the male’s genitals and pulled out a Spirit Leaf sword. He took one look upon the man and inhaled, then spoke.
“May the Goddess have pity on you.”
With that, Hurricane’s head rolled across two graves before coming to a stop by an old tombstone.
Leaf dropped the spirit sword and ran over to Flood, who he picked up, a limp and cold body. He held her to him and sobbed.
***
“What happened?” Flame said, looking at Ice.
“Leaf vanished. I don’t know what happened.” Ice tried to explain.
“You think that he ran off?” Shadow said.
“No... I didn’t run off...” Leaf said, opening the door and walking in, his normal outfit covered in blood.
“What happened Leaf?” Ice stood up and ran to him, but he pushed her away.
“I don’t know... The evils killed Flood, and the next thing I know is I’m standing in the graveyard next to Bud’s grave with Twig and Hurricane dead.” Leaf said, then hung his head.
“Sounds like Bud knew that Flood was hurt, and since you absorbed his soul...” Shifter said, causing Shadow, Ice and Flame, the only others in the living room, to turn and look at the normally silent one. “He used you as his open medium to seek revenge on his wife’s death.”
“Leaf,” Flame said, “Go take a shower... we can talk about this after a bit, when you get cleaned up.”
Leaf shook his head, “No Flame. I can’t go on as an Elemental, I have used my powers for evil... and I don’t trust myself anymore. If I were to explode... again, I could harm any of you...and I couldn’t do that...not to Ice, and not to anyone else.”
Ice stood next to him, worried, “What do you mean Leaf?”
“I want Flame to strip me of my powers...”
“WHAT?” Shadow said, “Leaf, be reasonable... you are a good fighter. We can’t afford to loose you.”
“No, I have made up my mind... I am quitting the Elemental Super Heros, and as much as I love you guys, I can’t risk harming any of you...” Leaf said again.
“So be it. If you wish to be striped of your powers Leaf, as much as I hate to do it, I will do it for you...” Flame spoke softly.
Shifter nodded, “But to depower him... won’t we need to give his powers to another?”
Shadow turned towards Shifter, “What is up with you, talking so much tonight?”
Shifter laughed, “I was just saying.”
“Flame.” Ice said, turning towards Leaf, “Leaf...”
“He’s made up his mind Ice...” Flame spoke.
“But that means we have lost two Elementals in one day...four altogether.” Ice said.
“If it makes you feel better... I will preform the De-powering ceremony with just him and myself... you won’t have to see him anymore.” Flame said.
Ice turned towards Leaf with a single tear that rolled down her cheek and froze to her face, “Leaf...are you leaving me?”
Leaf nodded, “It’s for your own good Ice... I don’t want to risk hurting you.”
Ice nodded as Leaf turned towards the shower, then to pack.
***
((Shadow, you would actually do this for someone if you could...or kill them?))
Ice stayed in her room for a week, letting Leaf be stripped of his powers and letting the rest of the group bury Flood, right next to Bud.
Ice was half asleep, half dead, having not eaten in as long as Leaf had been gone.
She sobbed, having locked her door to avoid contact with the outside world.
“You know, you should eat something...”
Ice rose suddenly from her bed and wiped her eyes, those blood shot orbs glanced around the room, looking for the voice she knew.
“Who...”
“Ice...” Shadow spoke, walking out of the shadow by the door, “everybody is worried about you...you haven’t eaten anything in almost a week.”
“It has been a week...but I’m not hungry.” Ice sighed.
“You lie. Ice...” Shadow sat down by her side as she hugged him, running her hand through his hair. (Hey, it’s a tranquilizing thing...) “Ice, we are so worried...Leaf did what he felt like he needed to do.”
“I know...but it hurts.”
“Shh... yes, it can hurt. But that doesn’t mean that we want you to sit locked in your room starving yourself over some guy.” Shadow ruffled her hair, letting her weep.
“Shadow, I really felt like I was in love with him... you know...” Ice suppressed another cry as she looked up at the man. “Like nothing I ever felt before.”
“Ice, don’t lie...please, I know what he did to you. He was breaking your heart and you were letting him.”
“What do you mean Shadow?”
“I mean, he knew you would go to the end of world for him...”
“Yes, I would have done anything for him.”
“But he didn’t really return the feelings, did he?” Shadow smiled softly at the woman, whose eyes were reddened with tears.
“I...he...always told me that he wanted to love me, wanted to be more than just...”
Shadow brought a finger up to her lips to shush her, “He never told you he loved you?”
Ice fought back yet another sob, “No, he always said he cared for me, and always said he loved my body...” Ice shook her head, “Shadow.”
“Yes?”
“Can we talk about something else?”
“Anything to calm you down and eat...”
“I... I don’t want to be sad anymore Shadow.”
“That’s good.”
“I am ready to stop mourning.”
Shadow smiled, “That’s good.”
“So...” Ice chuckled, realizing that her stomach was growling to beat the band, “what’s for dinner?”
“It’s Flame’s night to cook, so we are having her Super Spicy Fajitas.”
“Shadow, I’m so hungry, I could eat even that.” Ice stood up.
Shadow grabbed her and hugged her, “Glad to hear it, so back to the old Ice?”
Ice nodded, “Yes... thank you Shadow.”
Shadow glared at her, "Don't mention it." He paused, "Seriously, don't ever mention this to ANYONE!"
***
Ice had never eaten so much in her entire life. She ate three super hot fajitas, four helpings of white rice and then three bowls of ice cream.
“And you guys say I eat a lot.” Earth said, finishing off only his second bowl of rice.
“EARTH! She hasn’t eaten in a week.” Flame reminded him.
Ice smiled at Earth before reaching over to Shadow, who STILL wore the pope hat and hitting the button.
The hat opened again and another rocket came out at breakneck speed, shooting out and hitting Earth across the table.
((Side note, Flame's cooking is really, really good...and I like it a lot))
***
After that huge meal, Ice sat down with a bowl of ice cream...again.
“I thought Ice ate all the ice cream at dinner.” Goldenna said.
“She did.” Flame said.
“Then...what is that?” Goldenna asked, pointing.
“Well, it was chocolate milk...” Ice said, “I just...helped it along.”
Goldenna laughed, “I see.”

***
It was almost three months later, Shadow and Flame had become closer, Storm and Wind fought all the time, Goldenna worked hard on her powers, Shifter remained quite and Ice...
was lonely.
She didn’t tell the others that she was lonely, but she knew that they could see right through the facade of strength and indifference she had tried so hard to build up.
Shadow finally left one day and returned in about four hours. He stopped everyone at the door, “This is a friend of mine, he has been for years. He is a really interesting person...” He looked at Ice, “And he contacted me in regards to our icy little friend here...”
Ice blushed.
Shadow smiled and pulled back the door, “This...is Tempest.”
Ice felt herself blush deeper.
Temptest was a tall man, taller than Ice, and a good three inches taller than Storm. He had short buzzed black hair. His eyes were three different colors. The three colors were red fading to yellow to fading to icy blue. Ice was... amazed. Tempest wore all black and a long black trench coat like Shadow.
“Hello Tempest...” Flame smiled.
“Hello.” His voice was soft and gentle.
Ice swooned...she was... cured of her lonely days.
“May I ask what your element is Mr. Tempest.” Earth asked, clearly intimidated by this man.
Temptest chuckled, “Drop the Mister stuff... my elements are Fire...Ice and lightning.”
“He’s...” Flame started to say.
“Perfect.” Ice breathed.
“As I was going to say Ice...” Flame said, “He is one of the strongest combos of elements around...a Tempest.”
Tempest nodded and reached out and took Ice’s hand. “Ice Sickle...”
Ice swallowed hard.
“How nice to meet you.” He leaned down and kissed her hand and looked into her eyes, she melted.
“Ni...nice to meet you too.” Ice smiled.
***
((There we go, Tempest is now part of the Elementals. So now we have all... ((Or almost all)) real Elementals!))
((Another side note... no Temptest was not just added for Ice...well, yes he was, but he's also a real life 'Elemental'... my new boyfriend!
Sorry, I'll start working on the next chapter))
