The Scenic Route
I follow the outlines
of the oak leaf
and the maple
study the fall colors
and their nakedness in my hand
I follow the outlines
of her mouth
and breasts
study their fall colors
and taste them on my lips
I follow the outlines
of her waist
and hips
study their fall colors
and the silkiness against my skin
I follow the outlines
of her abdomen
and thighs
study their fall colors
and the presence of her tremble
I follow the outlines
of her sweetness
and honey
drink in their fall colors
and her sodden desire
