No more secrets!

“So, what’re Brian and Matt up to today?” Trent asked as he and Jason played a computer game while Kevin sat on Jason’s bed and drew sketches.

“I think they were going out to dinner with Matt’s dad and stepdad later tonight,” Kevin said absently. “We saw them for lunch earlier and Brian said he was going to have to wear a suit tonight.”

“Sounds serious,” Jason wrinkled his nose and Trent grinned at him.

“Yeah, well, Brian said he’s nervous,” Kevin went on, still not looking up. “I hope the old man’s nice to him.”

“Dude, you’ve got to stop trying to protect him,” Jason laughed. “Matt’s dad did a lot for both you and Brian. And Matt was the one who called him in. Haven’t you learned your lesson yet?”

“Well, if he didn’t, I sure did,” Trent chuckled.

“Matt didn’t say anything to you, did he?” Kevin looked up that time.

“Nah, but the glares he sent me spoke volumes.”

“I still think Brian would have been better off with you.”

“You can’t force something like that,” Jason said as he destroyed one of Trent’s fighter jets on the screen. “I keep telling you that he’s bonded with Matt now. I know you’re still pissed about what happened before, but Matt’s apologized a million times since and Brian’s forgiven him. You can’t arrange his life for him.”

“I know, but I just can’t accept Matt yet.”

“Look, it’s none of business, but I have a take on this,” Trent said as he retaliated against Jason’s offense by taking out one of the other boy’s naval aircraft carriers. “He’d probably be better off with Matt anyway because Matt’s out with his parents. I’m not and I don’t think Brian could deal with a boyfriend that couldn’t give him his undivided attention.”

“You’re not out at home?” Kevin sat up. “But I thought you were only in the closet at school.”

“Some of us don’t have the luxury of supportive family members who will love you no matter what,” Trent frowned sadly. “I learned early on that I had to live up to certain expectations. Besides, if I was out at home, do you think Tanya would keep it a secret at school?”

“I thought you got along with her,” Jason slid him a sidelong glance.

“Only as long as I can help her in some way,” Trent shrugged. “I love my sister because she’s blood, but I don’t like her very much at all.”

“It must be hell pretending you’re something you’re not,” Kevin mused.

“You get used to it,” Trent replied. “I didn’t tell Joey until last year, and that was only because he was trying to set me up with his cousin. She’s nice and all, but I didn’t want to go through that, especially with my best friend’s cousin.”

“How long have you known Joey?”

“Since before kindergarten,” Trent smiled. “He and I met in preschool and have been best buds ever since.”

“Didn’t you trust him not to tell?” Kevin asked seriously.

Jason exploded Trent’s last ship, ending the game. He smiled apologetically at him, but Trent waved him off.

“I trust him with my life,” the brown haired boy said turning in his chair to face Kevin. “But with something like this, you can never be too careful.”

“And you’re sure your parents wouldn’t accept it? Ever?” Jason asked.

“Positive. They’re ultra-religious,” Trent explained. “By even knowing a gay couple, I’m a sinner.”

“Well, you can always be yourself here,” Jason replied, clapping Trent’s shoulder. “We’ll never judge you.”

“Thanks, man.”

“Hey, let’s go out for pizza tonight!” Kevin said. He closed his sketchpad and hopped off the bed. “I feel like hanging out.”

“You always feel like hanging out,” Trent raised an eyebrow in amusement.

“Yeah, but you’re off to college at the end of the summer, so I want to take advantage of what time we have left.”

“I’m not leaving forever.”

“But you’ll be gone for extended periods of time,” Kevin argued. “What with Massachusetts being several hours away.”

“True, but . . .”

“Oh, quit arguing with him,” Jason stood and pulled on Trent’s arm. “You know he always wins.”

“Only because the rest of us let him.”

“And you’re thinking of breaking that ritual?” Jason looked scandalized. “Do you know what he’s like when he DOESN’T get his way?”

“Can’t say that I do.”

“Consider yourself lucky.”

“I think I might be insulted,” Kevin looked puzzled.

Jason laughed and grabbed his arm to pull him out of the room.

-------------------------------------------

“I can’t believe what Trent has to go through,” Kevin said later that night as he snuggled in Jason’s arms. “The poor guy. Not only can’t he find someone to love, when he does he’ll have to hide it just to keep his parents happy.”

“Yeah.”

“Jay?”

“Yeah?”

“Why do you sound so distracted?”

“Nothing,” Jason replied, tightening his arms around Kevin’s waist.

“Oh, it has to be something,” the small blonde insisted turning to face him. “You’re too pensive for it to be nothing. Spill.”

“Kev.”

“I mean it, Jay. We promised each other there would be no more secrets from each other. Remember how long secrets kept us apart?”

Jason nodded but he still didn’t want to get into this with Kevin. He knew it would get to smaller boy, too, and he didn’t want both of them thinking about it. But Kevin was stubborn. In fact, he was the most stubborn person Jason had ever met.

“Really, Kev, it’s not important.

“Jason.”

Kevin said his full first name warningly so Jason knew his last attempt to derail the small blonde was futile.

“It’s just that you and I are open with our friends, but not here at home,” he sighed.

“Gina.”

“Yeah,” Jason sighed. “She knows I like boys. That’s not an issue. Why am I afraid to tell her about us?”

Kevin brought a hand up to stroke Jason’s face lovingly in the dark. He knew Jason felt bad about keeping this from his sister. He also knew the tall boy feared his sister would try to break up their sleeping arrangements if she knew. Kevin worried about it, too. But hiding the relationship didn’t seem to make either of them feel any better. There was only one solution, really.

“We have to tell her, Jay,” Kevin said finally. “It’s not doing anything for either of us, keeping it from her. We both owe her a lot.”

“But what if she tells us we can’t stay together in the same bedroom.”

“We’ll worry about that if it happens,” Kevin said determinedly. “We should tell her before Matt and Brian go back to California to get ready for their move to Boston. That way everything will be out in the open and no one will have secrets anymore.”

“That’s a little naïve,” Jason smiled. “You think Brian tells you everything?”

“Yeah,” Kevin frowned. “I was the one that kept secrets from him. But you saw how sad Trent was before when we were talking about his family. That’s what keeping secrets can do to people. We should avoid that.”

“Yeah,” Jason sighed. “I feel really bad for him, you know.”

“You’ve become pretty good friends with him,” Kevin replied with an amused smile. “I can almost forget how jealous you used to be of him.”

“He still has a little crush on you,” Jason frowned.

“But he was willing to date my brother!”

“Yeah, because Brian looks a lot like you,” Jason pointed out with a smirk. “Don’t tell me you didn’t know that.”

“Uh, no, I didn’t. And I think you’re wrong.”

“Look, you can’t help it if you’re a hottie,” Jason grinned pulling Kevin closer for a kiss.

“I am NOT! But you’re not jealous?”

“Not anymore,” Jason sighed as he nipped on the sensitive area beneath Kevin’s ear. “I know you won’t cheat on me. You said so yourself.”

“Of course I won’t,” Kevin shuddered delicately as he relaxed into his lover’s arms again and let Jason’s hot mouth explore him. “I wouldn’t even want to think about life without you.”

“And you think Gina will let us stay in the same room?” Jason asked just before sucking a bit of skin on Kevin’s neck.

“I think she might.” Kevin put his hands on Jason’s broad chest and began roaming, paying particular attention to his nipples. “And if she doesn’t, well, she’s not going to keep us from doing things like this. She works a lot, you know.”

“Mmmm.”

Jason forgot what they were talking about soon after, as Kevin began to explore his chest with his small tongue, licking and laving his way down. Jason jerked his hips upward as Kevin’s mouth closed around his thick shaft and he sucked hard.

“No, no, no,” Jason murmured, pulling Kevin back up and rolling him beneath him. “I need to be inside of you.”

“You always say that,” Kevin pretended to pout.

“But you love it, too.”

“Yes.”

No more words were spoken as Jason coated his fingers with lube and stretched Kevin cautiously. He was always extra careful to make sure he never hurt his small love. After all, no one understood pain more than Jason. Finally he put a lubricated condom on and sheathed himself inside of Kevin’s tight body, beginning a slow and steady rhythm that drove the small blonde wild. He bucked and pushed until Jason finally picked up the tempo. Kevin shrieked and cried as he came fiercely, pulling Jason’s hair and taking advantage of the fact that Gina was away on business until the morning. Jason watched Kevin’s face contort in pleasure just before his own release took over. Then he was lost in his own heaven.

“Hey,” Kevin said when Jason had finally finished shuddering. “You know how much I love you, right?”

“As much as I love you,” Jason grinned and kissed him deeply.
