“Laziel, have you finished packing your bag yet? Uncle Raziel will be here any minute.” Sofiel called as soon as he was done with his hair. It was beyond a relief to not have it whispering over his skin every minute, constantly bringing erotic thoughts of his husband to the forefront of his mind...especially awkward when he nursed his child. Nakir himself had been forced out of the house, coming in only for meals. His mate had not been able to handle breathing his scent all the time and not being allowed to take him. It was a test of willpower on both their parts and the petite brunette would be glad when they were finally alone and he could climb all over that rugged mountain of man to his heart's content. “Laziel?”
“I can't find the horse sire made me!” Laziel wailed in reply and Sofiel paused in the doorway of his son's room, his shoulders slumping and a sigh of exasperation whooshing out of him at the sight. He had not been as dedicated to his cleaning chores and the room looked like a disaster area, with books, toys and clothing scattered all over the place.
“Well, no wonder. Look at this mess.” Sofiel shook his head as entered the room, picking up his wailing son. He balanced the boy on his hip while he did a quick pickup and packed the bag himself. “Laziel, you're lucky father is too aroused to be angry about this or you would have quite a sore bottom. Now, find another toy to bring with you to Uncle Raziel's. You'll just have to do without your horse for now. We'll find it when you come back home and we clean up this mess of yours, alright?”
Sofiel kissed his son's forehead and then set him down, giving him a little smack on the rump as he shooed him off. “Hurry up now. Bring your bag out to the living room when you're ready, father has a few more things to take care of.” With that he left his son to the hard decision of which toy would accompany him to Raziel's home and returned to the kitchen. He had baked a number of treats for his friend as a thank you for taking Laziel. He picked out a large, round wicker basket, tucked in one of his embroidered napkins and set to packing up the little cakes, cookies and pastries for Raziel, humming to himself happily. Re: Elysium

Raziel had spotted Nakir outside when he first approached his best friend's home, waving to the brawny angel who stood about in nothing but a light blue, silken waist wrap. Raziel gazed at him with a light smile on his face. "I see you're trying to keep yourself out of trouble." He chuckled, knowing that Sofi was trying to keep Nakir away until Laziel was safely out of the house, leaving the two of them free to answer nature's call. "I bet you're happy to see me. Laziel will have a wonderful time at my place. I'll keep him there as long as you two need to uh, well, you know."
Nakir had been watering the herbs and flowers with a large green watering can, trying to keep from thinking about burying himself inside his mate and shaking the very foundation of their house with his wild urge to mate like an animal. "You've guessed right." He said with a grin, reaching up to give his goatee a stroke. "Sofiel's scent is so strong I swear I can even smell it out here. I have a feeling if I don't get in there soon, my cock is liable to burn a hole in my silks." He joked, knowing Raziel could take his dirty humor and that Sofiel wasn't there to hear him say such a crude thing. There was no hiding the tent that was pitched under his waist wrap, and Raziel couldn't help but look down and quirk a brow at it. "It's not easy to get it down in this situation." Nakir grumbled, slightly embarrassed to have Raziel give him such a look.
"No worries! You'll be putting it where it belongs soon enough. Oh Sofi, darling! Uncle Raz is here~" He called out in a sing, song voice as he headed for the door. Nakir shuffled over, opening it for him to let him inside the house and he quickly thanked the Power, nodding his head. Inside the air smelled wondrously fragrant with baked good and sweets. Raziel's mouth began to water as he walked into Sofiel's home and made his way to the living room. There was also the undertone of another scent. It was a very primal scent, Sofiel's heat... a sweet and heady smell that reminded him of sex. "Oh Laziel! You look so adorable!" He smiled, kneeling down to give the child a big hug. "You all ready to go out and have lots of fun with Uncle Raz today?" Re: Elysium

“Uncle Raz!” Laziel cheered, throwing his arms around the archangel happily. Sofiel came out of the kitchen carrying the basket when heard the other angel enter, a smile and a look of intense relief in his bright green eyes. “Father, Uncle Raz is here!”
“Yes, I see that. Thank the blessed light.” Sofiel went and gave his friend a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “Thank you for doing this for me, Raziel. You have no idea how much we needed this. Although I was surprised you were still able, I thought maybe you would have...you know. With Gabriel?” The petite brunette paused, pursing his lips a little.
“Have things worked out with your sire?” He asked, tilting his head slightly in question. “You did try to be nice, didn't you? Baked him the cookies and didn't call him a dog or a slave...” Re: Elysium

Raziel lifted Laziel up into his arms, holding the little boy close as Sofiel came into the room in all his naked glory. He smiled and saw the basket of goodies, already plotting which pieces he'd pluck out and devour first, and whether or not he'd be gracious enough to share any of it. He reached out a free arm to hug the cherubim back, kissing Sofiel's cheek affectionately before pulling away to sit on the comfortable sofa with Laziel in his lap. He started to bounce the little boy on his knee, holding his hands and looking at him with a big smile until Sofiel started to speak of his Sire.
Raziel's smile faded and a look of sadness glossed over his bright, blue eyes, clouding them a moment as he turned his attention back to his best friend. "Well..." He sighed, picking Laziel up then and setting him down to play with his toys while he thought about what he would say. "We still didn't mate yet. He did finish what he started last time though. I had done everything you told me I should do, I was polite, I was respectful, and I swear I didn't call him any names! It was really nice actually, he pulled me onto his bed and..." Raziel blushed, not wanting to go into great detail in front of the child. "He only used his fingers on me and after a while I realized he'd never undressed and he wasn't even... you know. I asked him why and he said he can't, that he's unable to perform or some such nonsense. I haven't done anything with him since, I just left feeling rather empty and disappointed. Why would the Queen give me a Sire that cannot mate properly? I'll never be able to have children or experience my own cycle. I don't know what to think of him after that..."
Raziel's eyes started the water and he quickly wiped the budding tears with the back of his hand, shameful to show such weakness to his friend. "I guess it's just not meant to be. This must be my fate. You know I'll never find anyone compatible, and I already decided I want Gabriel. His scent is so good and for a while he made me feel really happy..." Re: Elysium

“Oh, Raziel...” Sofiel murmured, pressing a hand to his lips, a distressed expression on his face. He reached out and pulled Raziel into a hug, petting his hair and murmuring soothing nothings like he did for Laziel when the boy cried. Laziel looked up at the adults with a rather solemn expression on his face. He did not quite understand why Raziel was sad, but he could understand disappointment. He reached out and patted Raziel's knee with one hand. Sofiel smiled at his son, then straightened up again.
“Did he tell you why he can't perform? Like, did something happen to him before or is this something new?” He asked, the healer in him wanting to help and the nurturer in him want to make things better for his friend. “If it's something physical, there might be something Nakir or I could do...a remedy we could make up or some sort of healing...Or do you think it might be something else? You did say before he was abused in his previous service contracts...I would wonder if maybe this isn't something in his mind. Like perhaps he grew just so frustrated with the treatment he received, his tool stopped working out of subconscious spite.” Re: Elysium

Raziel's expression softened as Sofiel and the child both showed him comfort. He couldn't help but smile at Laziel as he touched his knee and he found himself resting his cheek against Sofiel as he pet his hair in such a sweet manner. Laziel was already learning compassion and gentleness from his parents and the look in the child's face nearly made Raziel's heart melt. The archangel reached out to ruffle his hair, wondering what his own child would be like someday if he could ever have one. Would it be an overbearing brat? A bully? He tried to shake the thoughts, surely he wasn't that awful. Commanding and bossy, yes, but he was a good Lord, and he could be a good father too, he was certain of it.
Slowly, he looked back up at Sofi. "Well, he said that I wasn't first to abuse his ring and hurt him with it, and that he'd learned to please his Lords in other ways. I assume that's the reason why he has been passed around so much and abandoned by every other angel before me who had him. Perhaps they did so because of his problem. I guess it's a mix of both physical from being hurt and maybe the spite as well. He always has this coldness to him... I kind of sense anger and resentment as well, though I didn't really pay close attention to it at first. I haven't really seen him much since that day, I've tried to avoid him. He always seems so uncomfortable when he sees me." Raziel sighed warily. "I don't even know if he liked the cookies." He pouted. Re: Elysium

“Well, given his history, I can understand a little why he might be angry or uncomfortable with you. Nakir does not like to talk about his years in service and I stopped asking him questions about it long ago. However, the past does shape the person we become and it sounds like Gabriel has been molded by some cruel hands.” Sofiel shook his head, a little frown furrowing his brow. “But you know, there's always a chance for change. Perhaps if you continue being nice and gentle with him, get him to warm up with you, then that might solve the problem. It will probably take some time, though.”
The cherubim smiled and hugged Raziel again. “I know patience is not your strong suit, but if you really meant it when you said you wanted Gabriel for your own, then I suggest that you learn it. You can think of it like trying to tame a wild beast. You could bully it and beat it into submission, but true love and loyalty will only come from a gentle hand.” Sofiel released Raziel, giving his shoulder one more pat. “And if he still has problems raising his lance, as it were, even after you two have reconciled, then I will see what sort of herbal remedy I can come up with. I'll do everything I can to help you, Raz.” Re: Elysium

"What would I do without you Sofi? I feel better already just hearing your sage advice." Raziel beamed, his mood lifting as the cherubim gave him renewed hope. "I wonder then, how do I start this long healing process for him? He's always uneasy when I am around and I'm sure he doesn't trust my motives. He likely thinks that all I want is his 'lance.' I want more than that though! I want... I want what you and Nakir have. I want him to love me and share my bed, and for us to raise a hatchling of our own. I don't want to just have my pretty servants in my lap, though I do adore them so."
Raziel's face showed a new determination, though he still did not know the answer. "Maybe I can have the cooks make us a special dinner tonight and invite him to join me. We should get to know each other and I won't pressure him for anything. Do you think that's a good way to do it?" Re: Elysium

“That sounds like a perfect start. I know you'll have everything you want with Gabriel and I look forward to being invited to your handfasting ceremony.” Sofiel smiled. He rose to his feet then and helped Raziel to his before picking up Laziel and passing him off to the tall blond. “Now, I don't mean to rush you out, but Nakir is suffering out there and I am not exactly holding up well either. Laziel, you be a good boy for your Uncle. Raziel, if you need anything you know how to reach me. The both of you better behave yourselves.” He kissed them both and then ushered them off towards the door with basket and bag.
“Goodbye! Let me know how everything works out for you.” Sofiel chirped, waving at them both from the doorway. Laziel waved back over Raziel's shoulder. He had to ride since his wings were still too small to properly carry his weight. Sofiel watched them leave, then turned his attention to Nakir working in the garden. His green eyes were dark with desire as he looked over the scruff warrior and he slowly ran his tongue across his lips. The petite brunette stepped outside, ready to start their mating game. His feet danced lightly over the soft grass as he ran, disappearing around the corner of the house. Re: Elysium

"Oh, of course! I didn't mean to hold you and Nakir up." Raziel grinned as he took Laziel in his arms with the child's backpack and special toy. "You two have fun." He winked, taking the basket of goodies for himself in his free hand as his other supported the child. "And thank you for everything, especially the goodies. Maybe I will be kind and share them with Gabriel. Laziel of course can have some too." He grinned at his decision to not be a glutton, then turned and left, spreading his magnificent wings and taking flight towards his estate.
Nakir saw his lovely Sofiel then, looking just as beautiful as he was the first time they had joined as one. He noted the sensual curve of his lover's hips, the way he moved like a silent predator about to pounce... The tall, husky male bristled in excitement as he tore off the wrap around his waist, brandishing his hard member as though it were a sword, ready to do battle. It wasn't long before the gap between the two lovers was closed, and they hadn't made it back into the house anytime soon, opting instead to start their game rolling around on the soft grass in their garden.
Later that day...
Raziel had spent a few hours playing with Laziel once he had arrived home. He had taken a bath with the child, letting him play with carved toy boats in the water and giggling as Laziel pushed them around, pretending there was a big storm as he splashed at them and watched them rock in the perilous waves. He remembered when he was a hatchling, and how much imagination he used to have. Everything seemed magical in those days, and then even the toys he played with had a life all their own. He felt so happy with the child, and couldn't help but have more thoughts of what it would be like to have his own.
When they started to grow a bit pruney, Raziel snatched the child up in his arms and a few servants came forth to drape them in towels and work to dry them. "Rosiel, go tell the chef that I wish for him to make dinner for us. I'd like a nice roast lamb with sprigs of mint, roasted potatoes and other vegetables, a fresh baked loaf of bread with butter, and a flagon of wine. I'm going to find Gabriel and let him know he is welcome to join us." Raziel then looked to Laziel and pet his soft cheek, an idea coming to him then. Perhaps Gabriel would be more comfortable around him with the child there. It would at least assure him that the archangel's intentions were pure.
"Come little one, let's get dressed and go for a walk shall we? I think I'd like to introduce you to my Sire, Gabriel. He is very strong and handsome, like your Sire." He cooed, carrying the child off and accomplishing just what he set out to do.
Several gentle knocks then came at Gabriel's door and Raziel stood with Laziel held up against him. They were both dressed in simple, flowing white gowns with one shoulder left bare and a gold clip to synch the other. Underneath Raziel wore his favorite strappy sandals and a his hair was done up in a long braid, slung over his bare shoulder.
"Gabriel?" He called out, his voice staying gentle as he tried his best to seem sweet and demure. He was glad he had Laziel to help him at least pretend to be more like Sofiel. "Would you like to join us for a walk in the gardens and then dinner?" Re: Elysium

“As you wish, Lord Raziel.” Rosiel chirped before scurrying off in a flutter of pink feathers. The young ophanim could always be found nearby when Laziel was about. The pair got along very well as they had similar minds and Laziel viewed him as a playmate instead of an adult.
“Uncle Raz, you have a sire now?” Laziel blinked up at the archangel curiously while he clung to him. He smiled at the idea, pleased that this might result in more playmates from his uncle. He bounced a little in Raziel's arms, his little wings flapping and scattering a few loose feathers. “Does that mean you're going to make eggs now? I hope you have a lot of eggs! Then I can play with more people besides Rosiel. Is your sire nice? Does my sire know him? Where did you meet? Are you getting handfasted, like my father said? I wanna come to the ceremony too, can I come?”
Gabriel had been in a foul mood for the past few days since his encounter with Raziel, so much so that he had ceased entertaining the help. He had stayed mostly holed up in his room, waiting for Raziel to dismiss him. It could not be much longer now. Raziel no doubt only viewed as a broken plaything and wanted nothing more to do with him. He was just a piece of meat, after all. He growled and kicked over a chair. Were they not just all the same?
His attention snapped to the door when he heard Raziel call out his name and his entire body grew tense. He was inviting him for a walk? What, was he going to try to break the news of his dismissal gently? Gabriel snorted and rolled his eyes, surprised he would make such an effort. He stalked over to the door and yanked it open, preparing to tell the archangel off.
“Look, there's no need--” His words were cut off abruptly when he noticed a pair of large, bright green eyes staring up at him with mild curiosity. The eyes belonged to a child that was balanced on Raziel's hip. He placidly sucked his thumb while Gabriel stared down at him, utterly perplexed by his presence. His eyes darted to Raziel and back again, trying to find some connection, but they did not look the least bit like each other. Blessed Day, the child did not even have a gem.
“He's big, Uncle Raz.” Laziel pulled his thumb out of his mouth long enough to comment. “He's bigger than sire.”
“Uncle?” Gabriel raised an eyebrow and gave him a questioning look. “I was not aware you had siblings. The Queen told me you were the only one to carry on your line.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 23, 2012, 1:26am
Raziel chuckled and shook his head. "Oh Laziel, you are full of so many questions, aren't you? Gabriel was gifted to me by the Queen. I can't say for sure if we will be making eggs though... Well, not anytime soon. He, uh, he has a little problem, but we're working to fix it. Don't worry yourself over it, I will try and make some little playmates for you in good time." He said with a little blush at the thought, kissing the child's cheek. "And once we become handfasted I promise to have you and your parents at the ceremony." He could hardly believe he even said that. handfasted? To Gabriel? The thought almost frightened him, yet it excited him at the same time. If only he and the tall blonde could get along better, he thought grimly to himself.
When the door burst open and Raziel saw the look on Gabriel's face, the archangel gaped at him, wide-eyed and wondering exactly what he looked so upset about. Granted, he had hardly seen him at all in many days, but he didn't know why the blonde always seemed so irate. He noticed the shift, however, the moment his Sire laid eyes on Laziel. "This is Laziel, he is Sofiel and Nakir's child. Sofiel is my dearest friend in all the world, he was with me the day the Queen gifted you to me if you recall. He is like my brother and he and Nakir have made me their child's godfather in the light of our Queen. Although I am not related to him by blood, I am his uncle and guardian." He said simply, wanting Gabriel to understand and not get any ideas that he had an illegitimate child hiding around. "Sofiel is currently in his cycle and he and Nakir are trying for another hatchling. I'm keeping Laziel here for a few days for them. Laziel, meet Gabriel. I suppose you can call him uncle Gabe if you like." Raziel grinned, looking up at the blonde and half expecting some sort of retort. "Now then, I was wondering if you'd like to walk with us around the gardens. I've heard from my servants that you haven't come out much as of late and some fresh air would do you good. I'd also love if you joined us for dinner." Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 23, 2012, 1:41am
“...You want to take a walk. And have dinner. With me.” Gabriel spoke slowly as if he was having trouble comprehending the very idea of accompanying Raziel and his young ward for either activity. Which he was. His eyes narrowed and he stared down at Raziel for several minutes, trying to figure out just what sort of ulterior motive was behind this invitation. There had to be some sort of angle here he was not seeing and it disturbed him more than when he had thought Raziel was having him dismissed. Then Laziel pulled his thumb out his mouth, belched softly and went back to sucking. Gabriel was startled into a smile and he shook his head.
“Very well, Lord Raziel. I will accompany you.” He spoke, bowing his head graciously. He stepped out of the room, only wearing one of his usual simple white wraps around his waist. Laziel watched him curiously, having never seen a male so large before. Until this moment, his own sire was the biggest male he had ever seen and he could not have comprehended anyone being any bigger. Gabriel was a veritable mountain in comparison and Laziel wondered what it would be like to be carried by him. His nose wrinkled a little as he studied all those rigid muscles and sharp lines. He much preferred his father's or uncle's soft curves. Even his own sire was a little squishy. There was nothing on Gabriel that looked soft at all. Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 23, 2012, 2:11am
Raziel was relieved when Gabriel finally gave in and decided to walk with them. He knew the dominion must have thought something was up, since Raziel hadn't made much effort before to try and spend time with him. He simply didn't know how to approach him after that awkward day, and it was only after getting advice from Sofiel that he had confidence again. He was determined to have this man be exactly what he was intended to be, even if it meant he could not put a nice silver collar with yellow gems around his neck. Perhaps someday he'd get his way with that too.
His lips curled into a smile and he turned then to walk down the hall towards a tall arched gateway made of ornate golden rails and vine-like patterns swirling in the metal. It lead into the courtyard of roses, fragrant flowers, small trees, and the huge fountain in the center. Slowly, he lowered Laziel down so the boy could walk. "Look Laziel, there's a bunch of butterflies over there." He pointed out, gazing at the colorful flapping wings that hovered so delicately over the flowers. He then began a leisurely walk over the smooth rock pathways that meandered through the gardens. The sky was turning hues of pink and purple as the sun slowly started to set, giving way to the evening time as crickets chirped their songs. Green glowing fireflies floated past near the darker bushes and Raziel looked up at his Sire curiously to see how he was enjoying it all. "Have you ever come out here to see any of this? This was here for generations. My first ancestors built this place and the two lovers in the fountain are my great, great, great grandfather and his equally great Sire. Unfortunately, the wars in the lower realm took my parents. I was their only child, and I have not yet been defeated at the hands of those vile demons." He couldn't help but ooze with pride at that last statement. No one could best him in battle, he would never go the way of his foolhardy, arrogant parents.
"Anyway, enough about me. What have you been doing since that very awkward day? You were so cold, the way you pulled away from me. I didn't know what to think and I was fairly shocked by what you told me. Don't think that I am giving up on you though." He said firmly, his gaze almost fierce with the conviction of his words. Re: Elysium

Laziel scampered off to chase butterflies and Gabriel watched him go. He was still in shock over the sight of the child, moreso by the fact that he was ungemmed and Raziel was willing to look after him. In his experience, the higher caste gems avoided socializing with lower caste. Most would outright refuse to even talk to an ungemmed angel, let alone touch one, child or no. It made him reconsider a little the light he had cast Raziel in and he looked down at the smaller blond speculatively.
“No, I never came out here. I saw no point in wandering all over the house.” Gabriel replied. His eyes went to the fountain when Raziel brought it to attention. The couple was rather handsome. The garden itself was beautiful, much larger and better manicured than his own at home. If he had known this was here, he might have spent some time outside. Although that would have kept him from practicing his other activities. He glanced at Raziel when he mention the loss of his parents, curious that he was so flippant about it. “It's a fine garden.”
A frown pulled his mouth and he gave Raziel a rather annoyed look when he mention the incident between them. “What do you mean I was cold? You were the one who avoided me.” He growled, “And of course I expected you to dismiss me. I am unable to perform the function you require. Why would you keep me?” He gaze turned hard and sharp as he met Raziel's fierce eyes and he wondered at the look in them. A smirk curled his lips and he crossed his arms over his chest as realization dawned on him.
“Oh, I see. You think you can fix me.” He gave a cold laugh and shook his head. “Well, I'm sorry to ruin your plans, but I cannot be fixed. I'm afraid my options in pleasuring you will not be including my cock.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 23, 2012, 2:43am
Raziel's hard gaze turned into a glare. "You can be fixed! Sofiel is a healer, he said he'd help you. He can make all kinds of potions and things." Raziel blurted, forgetting that Sofiel told him to go slowly and try building up love first. "Anyway, it's not your cock I am after! I want to get to know you better." He huffed, crossing his arms, feeling a bit irritated and how quickly the peaceful atmosphere was shattered. "I want you to feel comfortable here and be happy. I'm not going to harass you perform in bed, in fact, if it makes you that uncomfortable we don't have to do those sort of things at all." He sighed, not really liking that option. It wouldn't be very much fun, he knew. "If you do, however, have any interest in overcoming this problem you have, I am willing to help. I'm just putting that out there. Either way, you are mine and I'm not letting you go like all the others did." He paused in his walk then and reached out to pry one of Gabriel's arms away from his chest and take his large hand into his own, holding it firmly. His pink lips smiled then and he gave the dominion's hand a squeeze. "You are my Sire, no matter what. I only want you, no other." Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 23, 2012, 2:51am
“Pardon my skepticism, since the very first time we met, all you did was complain about what a brute the queen 'rewarded' you with.” Gabriel snorted, pulling his hand back. He had been through this act before, this false kindness and he had learned that lesson hard. He was not about to fall for it from another uppity archangel. “I'm also not about to let some healer experiment on me just so I can have some use for you.” The dominion still had no doubt that Raziel would dismiss him sooner or later. It was only a matter of time and then he would be on to the next tormenter.
"You don't want me, you just want what I can give you. I know how people like you work." He muttered and turned away. "As soon as you realize you can't get it, you'll dismiss me." Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 23, 2012, 3:02am
"If you keep looking at everyone you're paired with in that way, you'll make it be your reality. I don't know what you think I am, but I am not any of the angels who've owned you or abused you previously. I'm a control freak, I'll admit, and I like to have a little fun and be on top, but I take good care of my own." Raziel growled as Gabriel pulled away, still not convinced that the archangel's intentions rang true. Sure, he did want whatever Gabriel had to offer him in the sheets and elsewhere, but he also wanted to give him back something in return. If Gabriel ever opened up, someday he'd have love and maybe, by a miracle, a family of his own.
Raziel still couldn't help but take it all personally though, and Gabriel's words hurt. It was becoming painfully obvious that Gabriel really was damaged goods, and it was not just his cock. "Have you ever loved anyone?" He asked, ignoring the blonde's accusations and deciding not to feed into that fire, knowing it'd lead to an endless loop of arguing. He thought about the relationship he'd seen between Sofiel and Nakir and he wondered if Gabriel even knew what love was. "Have you ever loved any of your previous mates, or did you despise them all?" Re: Elysium

If it was possible, the air might have chilled a few degrees, so cold was the look Gabriel gave Raziel. His entire postured tensed and his eyes were frozen chips in his face. “My past is none of your business and I'll thank you to keep out of it.” He growled. His fists clenched and unclenched at his sides, as if he was fighting to keep from striking the archangel with them. “I think I've had enough fresh air. I also find myself lacking an appetite. I think I'll retire, if you don't mind. Good night, Lord Raziel.” With that the large blond turned and stalked out of the garden at a brisk pace. Re: Elysium

Gabriel's look was intense and for a moment, Raziel felt something akin to fear. Those piercing blue eyes looked so fierce and the archangel knew he must have rubbed the dominion wrong by prying. When Gabriel turned down his offer for dinner and stormed off, the archangel stood and watched. He couldn't even have a walk with him through the garden and talk to him peacefully without everything dissolving into muck. His shoulders slumped then and he felt sadness creeping up over him. His pride kept him from running after the tall angel, that and also he would not leave Laziel unattended without a servant to at least watch over him.
He walked over to one of the stone benches beside the fountain and sat down, watching the child play so carefree and happy. If only he was a child again, then he wouldn't have to worry about Sires and producing heirs. None of that would matter in the least. His eyes began to tear up, but he held it back. Was he forcing something that could never be? He wanted what Sofi had, yet he was getting nowhere with Gabriel constantly being so suspicious of his intentions and always comparing him to the monsters of his past. It was not fair at all.
He reached up to wipe his eyes and tried to force on a smile, hoping that Laziel would not notice that Gabriel was gone. The archangel felt his hopes were shattered once again. Re: Elysium

Sofiel listened to Nakir grunt weakly one last time behind him as he gave up the last of his strength to release the remains of his balls in his sorely abused breeding hole. The love act had stopped being pleasurable five hours ago, but his sire had still been in the blind throes of his frenzy and there was no stopping what had begun. Sofiel whimpered a little in pain when Nakir finally withdrew and pretty much collapsed on the bed now that the overwhelming drive of instinct had abated. Thick, viscous trails of semen ran down the inside of Sofiel's thighs as he remained as he was, on his hands and knees with his rump positioned in the air. Every muscle in his body screamed with pain, but he knew he was not as bad off as Nakir was. He needed to move, to tend to his mate now before his condition worsened and it took him even longer to recover. After a moment, the petite breeder shoved himself upright and rolled over with a sharp gasp.
With a grimace, he looked down to take stock of himself. His pale skin was marred with bruises and a few light scratches, nothing too serious. He reached between his legs and gingerly probed his breeding hole, biting his lip to keep back the pained cry that wanted to escape. The opening hung slack and it would be several hours, maybe a few days, before it tightened up back to normal again. The rim was puffy and red, chafed raw by the near constant friction of Nakir's cock driving into him. To add to the unpleasantness, he was also sitting in a puddle of their spend. With a sigh, Sofiel reached over to the nightstand to pull out the plug he would wear so he could move about without losing more of his mate's seed. It was a round, smooth piece of ivory that was somewhat egg shaped. It was a little bigger than his mate's cock to be sure it would fit snugly inside. Sofiel gasped and panted as he struggled to work it in, his body trembling with the effort. Finally he had it resting inside his body. The heavy, cool weight of it resting in his core was almost soothing.
He shakily climbed to his feet, moving quickly to get as much done as possible before his strength ran out. Part of why Nakir was so weak was that his own gem had drained some of the vitality from the male just for this purpose. Sofiel went around to the other side of the bed and did his best to rearrange Nakir into a more comfortable position on the bed. The man was dead weight, however, and trying to push and pull his heavy limbs soon had him sweating again. He was extra careful not to brush anything against Nakir's member, which was as badly off as his breeding hole. The flaccid piece was raw and red, the nerves chafed and sensitive. When that was done, he quickly pulled the dirty sheets from their bed and replaced them with a few light blankets. He tucked one around his weakened mate and then wobbled into the kitchen. He mustered enough power to start a fire in the hearth and start heating the large pot. While that was going, he set about brewing a special herbal blend to help replenish some of the power Nakir had lost.
It took much longer than it normally would have, but eventually Sofiel returned to the bedroom. He carefully balanced a tray on his arms, trying to control his shaking enough to keep from spilling everything everywhere before he could set it on the stand. It was heavy with the mug of steeped herbs, a large bowl of beef broth and a few slices of bread as well as several cups of water. Nakir would be dehydrated and he needed to drink first.
“N-nakir.” He called softly, even his voice trembling with effort. The cherubim set the tray down with a clatter, just barely managing to not spill everything. He reached down and helped Nakir up into a sitting position, then picked up one of the cups of water. Sofiel held it to his mate's chapped lips. “Here, love. Drink this, you need it.” Re: Elysium

Nakir was incredibly exhausted as though he had endured a week long trek through the blistering deserts of the lower realm, naked without food or water. His muscles ached and he felt almost feverish, yet the pain and soreness in his body, his loins especially, was worth all of the effort. "Sofi..." He said weakly as he fell to the bed, unable to move as his mate got up and did his level best to clean up the disaster on their bed sheets among other things. The fabric was fairly soaked and the smell of their fluids hung heavy in the air. He wished he had the strength to help his partner in his tasks, but he and Sofiel both knew after their rut, there'd be very little he could do.
His body was yearning to sleep, but he forced himself to stay awake and dutifully waited for Sofiel's return. When the breeder set down the tray, his eyes traced over his lover tiredly, but he was grateful for his mate to go through all the trouble to see to his refreshment. He couldn't do much else to help the breeder as he lifted him to a sitting position and lifted a glass of water against his dry lips. He took a small sip and was somehow reminded of the sick angels he would treat on the field of battle. The wounded or those who fell ill often had to be fed in such a way. If it was not the natural way of things, he'd almost be embarrassed to be in such a pathetic, unseemly state. "I love you." He said in a hoarse voice before reaching up with trembling hands to take the glass and try and drink it himself. "I am sure you will be with child after this night. There is no way my seed can fail." Re: Elysium

“Shhh, just rest. Don't talk, just drink this.” Sofiel commanded him gently, forcing more of the water past his lips. He batted Nakir's hands away and gave him a stern look. Well, as stern as it could be in his exhausted state. He patiently held the cup, tipping it steadily until it was empty. He set the cup down and then picked up the second one for himself, gulping it down as quickly as he could without making himself sick. He needed fluids as well, but his first concern was his husband. The cherubim frown as he looked Nakir over, not like the gaunt, hollow look of his face or his paleness. Their mating seemed to have drained him more than it did the first time, but he supposed that could be a result of his rough living conditions on the field. With a sigh, Sofiel picked up the cup containing his herbal remedy and worked on forcing that down his husband's throat next.
“I'm sorry if it's bitter, we were out of honey.” He spoke, his voice soft rasp. “But it will help you recover quicker. I have some broth and bread for you also. I want you to eat everything before you fall asleep, alright?” Sofiel smiled a little and leaned forward to gently place a kiss on Nakir's shoulder. “We were at this for almost a day and a half, much longer than the first time we mated and made Laziel. Your stamina has gotten better, husband. I'm sure at the end of the week when I go to the midwife, she'll be telling me I have been seeded.”
Sofiel's smile fell a little as he took the cup back once it was empty. He picked up the bowl of warm broth next and a spoon. The broth was rich and dark with little bits of beef floating in it. He tore up the bread into small pieces and added them to the broth to soak up some of it. The smell would have had his own mouthwatering, if he were capable of stomaching food right now. He scooped up a spoonful and held it to Nakir's lips, beginning the process of feeding him. “Nakir...you have served five centuries now. I was thinking perhaps you might petition for leave time to be with your family...At least two decades.” Sofiel murmured while he steadily spooned broth and bread into Nakir. “Your son is being raised without you and if I'm seeded, I would like you to be there to help me...I had to rely on Raziel before and I don't want to have to impose on him again. You weren't even able to be there when I laid Laziel or when he hatched...I want you to at least have those experiences with your second child.” Re: Elysium

Nakir didn't have the strength to argue with his wife as Sofiel kept his grip on the glass of water and helped him empty it little by little. When they had moved on to the tea, his nose wrinkled a bit and he swallowed the bitter drink with a cringe. Without honey, it was quite strong and fairly pungent, and he could taste every ingredient rather keenly. It might have been akin to eating a mouthful of grass, but he did not complain. He knew his wife's concoctions would help him heal faster and soon he'd be back to his normal self. He licked his lips afterward and his stomach began to feel like a water basin. There was so much liquid in him he gave a soft groan, but he knew he was not done yet.
As his wife spoke of his stamina, he couldn't help but smile. "It's because I missed you so much. Those long days and nights in the lower realm..." He went silent, trying to find the energy to speak as he exhaled a long breath. He also needed a moment to let his stomach settle from the tea. "I've seen some horrible things down there, Sofi. Those demons are ruthless and I've lost many of my brothers in battle. I've seen them get their wings sliced off, heard their screams, and after so much blood and gore, sometimes I worry I might forget this peaceful life we share. To be with you and escape that hell is more than I could ever want."
When Sofiel started to serve him the beef broth and bread, he wasn't certain his stomach could handle anymore fluids. Yet the taste of it quickly made the idea more agreeable to him as he let his wife spoon-feed him. It was quite delicious and made up for the bitter flavor of the herbal tea. "Mmm." He managed to mumbled between mouthfuls as his lover then spoke of his concerns with him taking leave from the war. The idea of a petition for leave was all-too appealing, but with the fights escalating he was not so sure he'd be let go so easily. "I do want to be with you for our second hatchling, I want to help bring him into the world. I want to be here for Laziel and you too. I've been thinking about taking a long break, I just don't know if the Queen would allow me that favor. You don't know how bad things have gotten... They can hardly spare any men, especially the medics. I'll see what I can do, Sofi, but I can't make any promises. That would not be fair to you." Re: Elysium

“I may not be there to see it, but I can imagine it and knowing you are down there in it makes me so sick sometimes I can barely stand it.” Sofiel replied, his hand trembling so badly for a moment that he had to put the spoon down or risk spilling brother all over Nakir. He sighed and pushed his tangled hair back from his face before looking back up at Nakir. “I talked to Raziel and he said he would be willing to sponsor your petition. I think...I think it might have a better chance of being accepted with his help.”
Sofiel reached out and took Nakir's trembling hand in his own, wrapping his slender fingers around the rough palm. “We have to try, Nakir. I need you here with me, I can't...I can't keep going like this! You want to talk about fair, well how fair is it that I never know if you're safe or when you'll next be allowed to come home...And you only get to stay for a week or two!” He turned away, tears rolling down his flushed cheeks and he set the half empty bowl back on the table, not trusting himself to keep it steady. “If anything ever happened to you, Nakir, I don't know what I would do! And Laziel...I love you so much, Nakir and just imaging life without you with me...It's more than I can...”
Sofiel dissolved into weeping then, burying his face in his hands. His emotions were always more volatile in his cycle, but this had been building up for a while as well. All those sleepless nights and watching the Gates every time the bell pealed, looking for his mate, Laziel's eyes filled with such disappointment...He was not strong, he was willing to admit that. He needed Nakir's strength, needed the sire just to be whole. Re: Elysium

Seeing his wife's grief and watching him turn to sob pained Nakir and he forced himself to sit up straighter, invigorated by having nourishing liquids in his system. He reached out his strong arms to pull Sofiel against him so the breeder could sob against his chest. He would not have the love of his life cry and feel so frightened and alone when he was there to protect him and take those sorrows away, at least for a little while. "I will talk to Raziel as soon as I've gotten my strength back. You have every right to be upset, my love. I've been away more often than I have been home with you and Laziel and I know it has to be very difficult for you both. There is not a moment that ever passes by where I was not thinking of you both."
Gently he rubbed his wife's arms and smoothed back his tangled locks of chestnut hair, leaning in to kiss his forehead. It was long overdue for Sofiel to have a good cry and let out all of the sadness he held inside at his Sire's absence. Nakir couldn't imagine the fear, anxiety, and loneliness he must have felt every day, wondering if he'd get killed in battle and never return home. He knew if they had switched roles, he could not bear to think of what could happen to his precious Sofiel in a dangerous place, surrounded by brutal demons that would not hesitate to cut him down. "I'll see if I can get on this before these two weeks are over. I don't want to leave you again Sofi. We need time together as a family, and I want to watch my children grow up and have their Sire in their lives. After a good night's sleep, I should be strong enough to speak with Raziel tomorrow. He has to bring Laziel back to us anyhow, we can discuss it then." Re: Elysium

Sofiel clung to his husband and sobbed against his chest, unable to stop once he had started. The tears drained what was left of his strength and when he finished, all he could do was lay there and sniffle. Even now, at his weakest, Nakir was still strong enough for the both of them. Sofiel rubbed at his eyes and finally looked up at his husband, his face puffy and wet from crying.
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...” He sighed and straightened up again, wiping again at his face. He reached for the bowl again, which was more soggy bread than broth now. “I just want you to be home for longer than two weeks, Nakir. I want you to be with me when I lay and to see our egg hatch. I want you to be the one to teach Laziel to fly. He should learn that from his sire.” Sofiel dug the spoon into the broth soaked bread and held it up for Nakir. “We'll talk with Raziel tomorrow, when he returns. He'll talk to you here, though. You'll still need a few more days of bed rest before you're healthy again. I think you burned off every pound that you put on eating all those rich foods I fed you.”
Sofiel smiled slightly, his gaze turning shy. “I'll cook you something more nourishing than broth tomorrow. Wildwood stew, maybe? I think that's what I made you after we had conceived Laziel.” Sofiel's smile widened at the memory of his very first cycle. It had been their first night as mates for life. “I'll bake you those little nutcakes too. That will also make Laziel happy.” Re: Elysium

When Sofiel had finally sobbed all that he could, Nakir gazed at him with a gentle and understanding look. He reached out his calloused hand and with the rough pad of his thumb, brushed away some of the tears that dripped down Sofiel's cheek. His heart ached to see his lifemate suffer so much because of him. As a man, he was honor bound to serve his Queen and his people. As a skilled healer, he was valuable on the field of battle and also a prime target for his enemies. After so many centuries of war he was growing weary, he knew he needed to be home with Sofiel more than ever. Any longer in the lower realm, with the angels being beaten back as badly as they were, he knew there was a good chance he'd get killed. He did not dare speak of this nagging fear to his wife, Sofiel had enough to worry about. He just wanted to focus on his family, especially Laziel. He wanted to find out where his son's talents lied and help him choose a vocation when he was old enough. Without a gem, he could never hope to advance to a high level in anything, but Nakir knew that with lots of guidance and love, the boy would do great things when he was grown.
Once Sofiel regained his composure, Nakir eagerly continued to eat the broth and soggy bread. He didn't mind it all that much, loving everything his wife gave to him. "All right, I'll rest in bed. You need to rest too you know... You worked just as hard as I did through your cycle and you are likely as exhausted as I am, look at how your hand trembles." He said softly as he reached out to steady Sofi's hand, taking another mouthful of the broth. "Too bad Raziel can't cook, I'd say we should have him make the meals and serve both of us while we recover." He chuckled, knowing such a thing would never happen. "He'd probably serve us lumps of coal." Raziel was far above both of them in rank with his pure, white gem. There was no rank higher than that color, but they were lucky to have such an influential archangel around thanks to Sofi and his enduring childhood friendship. He prayed silently in his mind, hoping that Raziel could convince the Queen to let him have his two decades with Sofiel, if not more.
"You should eat some of this too, love. Eat and drink, and we can cuddle and sleep. I miss just laying with you in my arms, hearing you breathe. You're so beautiful when you're asleep, like a child." He smiled, finding the strength to lean in and gently press a kiss to Sofiel's forehead. "I can't wait to see little Laziel again, I hope his uncle kept him amused. Do you think he'll be ready for flying lessons soon? I'd love to start teaching him." Re: Elysium

“I don't think I could eat anything right now, with the way my stomach is cramping. Besides, you're worse off than I am. You did most of the work, I mostly just laid there.” Sofiel gave him a weak smile, spooning the last of the soggy bread into Nakir's mouth. He set the empty bowl back on the table and then crawled into the bed next to his husband, mindful of not rubbing up against his sore bits. “And I would be wary eating anything Raziel cooked. He's sweet, but cooking is not in his skill set.”
The cherubim cuddled up against the power's side and rested his head against his broad chest.. He was silent, content to just lay there cradled against his husband's warmth and listen to the steady pounding of his heart. His lips curled up into a smile at the mention of Laziel. “I'm not sure he's quite ready yet...perhaps in a couple more years, when his wings start to grow out more. Those will certainly be horrid years for him. His wings will be sore all the time...” Sofiel sighed and closed his eyes, exhaustion finally beginning to claim him. He had been running on borrowed time for a while now. “I hope you get to be there with him...” Re: Elysium

Nakir gave a slow nod, wrapping his arm around Sofi as the cherubim snuggled in against him for the night. He closed his eyes then. "We shall see tomorrow..." He said finally, going silent after. It was so peaceful with his wife next to him and it was only a short bit of time before his breathing slowed and he relaxed completely. He embraced the thick, warm blanket of sleep, letting it take away his worries and thoughts. Tonight, he would dream beside his love, and nothing would take him from away Sofiel's side.
Raziel had waited until midday before bringing Laziel back home. He had received word from a messenger that Sofiel and Nakir wanted to see him and, although still recovering from their heavy mating session, needed to discuss a matter that was urgent. The blonde knew what it would likely be about and he had already prepared the scroll for petitioning Nakir's leave to stay with his family. It was the least he could do for his dear friends, and he was certain that Queen Aria would not refuse such a humble request. He also carried a basket of food that he had his personal chef prepare, full of freshly baked spiced breads, a large bowl of Chetlesh soup with three types of beans, mushrooms, onions, and other vegetables. He was sure they would appreciate the offer, and it would save Sofi the trouble of having to make a meal.
The door was already open when Raziel arrived at Sofi's humble, cozy home. The archangel let himself in, cradling Laziel against his hip and calling out to announce his presence. "Sofi! Nakir! Laziel and I are here!" He headed towards their bedroom door, setting Laziel down and patting his head. "You ready to see father and sire? They are going to be a bit tired today, so don't wear them out, okay?" He smiled, lightly pinching the child's pudgy cheek. He then reached out to knock gently on their door, wondering if they were sleeping. He knew from the first time they conceived Laziel they had been worn out for days after their tryst. He could hardly imagine having so much sex that you'd be battered and exhausted. Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 24, 2012, 12:36am
Laziel started squirming as soon as his home came into view and did not stop until Raziel set him down. He scurried off as soon as he was able, pushing open the door without waiting for an invitation. Sofiel was already on his feet, apparently on his way to answer the door. He was dressed again in simple white gown and both he and Nakir were looking much fresher than they had the day before, although still tired. There were bags under Sofiel's eyes and even his smile seemed weary as he bent down to catch his son in his arms and squeeze him tight.
“Welcome home, my little sunbeam.” He planted a kiss on Laziel's cheek and hefted the boy up into his arms with a grunt of effort. “I hope he didn't give you too much trouble. Thank you again for watching him.” Sofiel walked over to the bed, where Nakir was still resting. The cherubim had cleaned the room and laundered the sheets as well, but both windows in the round room were open to allow fresh air. The heavy scent of sex that had permeated the area before still lingered slightly and both of them were too weary to deal with the effects it would cause. Sofiel still had a few more days left in his cycle and despite the day before, he was still itchy to be mounted. Of course, it would only be painful for them both, with Nakir's cock still rubbed raw and his own breeding hole still recovering from its vigorous use. The ivory egg was still nestled inside, but he had coated it with a salve to help speed the healing.
“Sire!” Laziel squirmed out of his father's arms and threw himself on Nakir, bouncing into his lap. Sofiel winced in sympathy and reached out to try to restrain the child.
“Be careful, Lazi, your sire is still a little sore and tired. You have to be gentle.” He scolded and Laziel looked up at his Nakir curiously.
“Are you hurt, sire?” He asked, shifting around on Nakir's lap some more as he wriggled up the large man. “Why are you hurt?” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 24, 2012, 1:01am
Nakir held back a gasp of agony as his son lept onto him and bounced on his sorest area, sparking red hot flames in his sensitive nether region. He had been wearing a simple white waist wrap and a shoulder wrap that day, wanting to look presentable for their company so he could speak with Raziel and show the archangel some sort of dignity. His eyes practically crossed in pain the more Laziel moved and he grabbed the boy around his waist, pulling him up so he sat on his stomach instead. "Ah ow ow ow!" He grit out, sucking in a breath of pain. "Your father and I worked very hard the past few days to try and make a new hatchling so you'll have a little brother to play with someday. We're both quite sore and tired. I will be okay though sweet child, just... don't sit on my lap for a little while." He said warily, reaching up to pat his son's head before pulling the child into his arms for a firm hug. "I've missed you sweetling. Welcome home."
Raziel came into the room then, finding a chair beside the bed and setting the basket down on the nearby table as he spoke to Sofiel. "He was no trouble at all. Laziel was very well behaved, as sweet as can be. I also had my chef make a nice soup and bake some fresh bread for you both. I know you Sofi, you work so hard and never take a proper rest, so I thought I'd help however I could. I may not have culinary skills, but I'm sure you'll like the Chetlesh my chef made." He smiled warmly, then pulled out the scroll of paper, a feather quill pen, and a small, sealed well of ink. "Nakir, I have written up your petition that I will present to the Queen. I just need your seal signature and for you to write how long you wish to take your leave. I will take care of the rest of the details, don't you worry about any of it."
The archangel then opened the inkwell and dipped the quill into the ink after unfurling the scroll and holding it out to Nakir as he handed the quill pen over. Nakir took it then and glanced over the text a moment before signing and then adding that he would like two decades at the minimum, three at the most. Perhaps asking for three was a bit much, but he had to try. "I can't thank you enough for trying to help me, Lord Raziel. I am in your debt good friend."
Raziel shook his head and smiled. "You owe me nothing. Now, a magic seal and it is done." Raziel said simply and Nakir's gem glowed lightly as he pressed his thumb to the paper and inlaid a print that glowed a deep violet, the same as his gem. It was as if he signed in his own blood, imbuing the document with a touch of his magic.
"Is there anything else I can do for you both while I am here? I don't mind, really. I'm not in any hurry." Raziel said as he took the scroll and rolled it back up, setting it in a pouch tied around his waist. He wore a golden skirt and shoulder wrap that day, looking as radiant as a beam of sunlight. His hair was down, in its usual cascading locks around his shoulders. Yet, despite his beauty, his eyes still held that same sadness to them that had grown ever since Gabriel became his Sire. Re: Elysium

Laziel squeaked and giggled when Nakir pulled him into a hug and he happily embraced his sire back. “Really, I get a brother? Father has an egg now?”
“Well...nothing is certain, but I am almost sure we'll be having one.” Sofiel replied, giving his mate a sympathetic look as he watched him with their son. He turned his attention to Raziel and his eyes lit up a little when he heard that he had brought food. “Oh, Raziel, you didn't have to...Thank you so much. It will be nice not to have to cook tonight. Hold on, I'll get some bowls and things. We'll eat in here, Nakir is still not allowed to leave the bed. Lazi, do you want to help father?”
“Alright.” The child chirped and clambered off his parent, sliding across his lap again as he hopped to the floor and scampered out after Sofiel. They returned again just in time to see Nakir place his seal on the document Raziel was holding and Sofiel eyed it questioningly. He gasped when he saw what it was and his entire face lit up with a smile.
“Oh, thank you Raziel!” He spoke, tears shimmering in his eyes. “You don't know what this means to me, to us. You do so much for us, I wish I could return the favor. If there's ever anything you need, please never hesitate to ask.”
“Father, I'm hungry.” Laziel complained, tugging on Sofiel's skirt. The cherubim gave his child a slightly exasperated look and gestured for him to find a seat.
“Hold on, I'll pour a bowl of soup for everyone...You'll stay and eat with us, won't you, Raz?” Re: Elysium

Nakir's mouth fell open and he tried to hold back another wince of pain as Laziel once again brushed over his lap before bounding over to his father. The pain nearly made the power's brow break a sweat and he sat there stiffly, waiting for it to subside. "Such a spirited one he is..." He croaked out as if he'd been hit in the balls. When he saw Sofiel return, the look on his wife's face perked him up again and he heaved a great sigh of relief.
"You should have asked me sooner, Sofi, darling. You're so brave to tough it out and wait this long for Nakir to have his leave from the Celestial Guard. You could have been waiting a very long time with the way things seem to be going. It won't be an easy plea, but the Queen is not likely to refuse my request. At least, I truly hope she won't." He said honestly, not knowing for certain what the outcome would be. Raziel then took a seat and an offered bowl. "I'll stay, though I don't need much, I want you all to enjoy the food. I was sure you'd be tired and cooking is a lot of work... I think." He smiled sweetly. Being around Sofiel and his family always made him feel at peace. It was such a warm, inviting home and he truly felt like he was a part of their family. It was a welcome sensation, so different from his childhood growing up with his cold, snobbish parents. He never got much love at home, but when he visited Sofi, he was always showered with it. Re: Elysium

“Well, I didn't think a petition would be accepted, with the war going and there is a five century minimum requirement for service...” Sofiel sighed while he continued handing out bowls of soup and bread, making sure Nakir got a very generous share. The power was still looking too thin for his comfort. He let Laziel sit on his lap and eat, holding the boy and absently stroking his soft, dark hair, forgoing a bowl himself while Laziel was on his lap. He smiled down at his son, holding out a piece of bread for him. “Did you have fun at Raziel's, Lazi?”
“Yeah!” Laziel chirped around a mouthful of dark, spiced bread. “I played with Rosiel and we went treasure hunting in Uncle Raziel's garden, but we never found any because he had a bad map. And I met Uncle Raziel's sire! He's really, really big! Bigger than sire and he always has a scary mad look on his face.”
“Oh?” Sofiel blinked and looked back to Raziel. “Are things still not going well between you and Gabriel?” Re: Elysium

"That's why you have me to back it." Raziel grinned, confident in his persuasive ability. He took his bowl of the steaming soup and delicately ate, melting at the rich flavor and perfect texture. "Mmmm, my chef never fails me." He purred, enjoying his meal as he dipped a piece of the bread into his soup next and scooped up a bunch of beans and vegetables, taking a big bite.
Nakir had a hardy appetite and he found himself cleaning his first bowl in record time then gnawing on his bread while Sofi fed Laziel. He knew he'd be going for seconds, and possibly thirds. It was a sure thing that mating with his wife during his cycle burned much of his calories and left him famished. He felt as though he could eat out the entire pantry in that moment. "Mmmphf this is amazing." He managed to say after swallowing a large mouthful of bread. "I can't thank you enough, Lord Raziel."
"Not a problem!" Raziel chirped, waving a hand dismissively when Sofiel asked Laziel about his time with the archangel. The topic soon turned back to Gabriel and Raziel felt his feathers ruffle slightly. His eyes lowered then, staring into his bowl of soup. "He's been very upset lately. He hardly leaves his room, barely seems to eat, and he keeps wondering when I am going to 'dismiss' him. He refused to even join us for dinner a few days ago and he's been fairly unpleasant. Nothing I do or say seems to help. I think I just make it worse." Re: Elysium

“Oh, Raziel...I'm so sorry.” Sofiel replied, genuinely concerned for his friend. He passed Laziel another piece of bread when the child asked and then shooed him off his lap so he could get another bowl of soup for Nakir. “I guess my advice didn't really help...but I don't really have that much experience with courtship. Nakir was my first and my last.” He smiled up at the male in question as he handed him a fresh bowl of soup.
He finally took a bowl for himself and settled down to eat while Laziel busied himself with his blocks and gnawing in his second piece of bread. “Between the two of us, Nakir has more experience than I do...he had already been in service once and had a few relationships before he met me.” Sofiel looked to his mate, a frown furrowing his brow. “Can you help Raziel, perhaps? You might have a better idea what Gabriel is thinking...” Re: Elysium

Although Nakir usually wasn't around when Raziel and Sofiel had their conversations about Gabriel, his wife kept him well informed on the archangel's perplexing new Sire. He reached up to take the freshly filled bowl of soup from his wife then, his fingers brushing the breeder's gently as he smiled and went back to his feast. He listened to Sofi speak to Raziel and when it was his turn to give their friend some advice, he thought on it for a moment.
"It is true, I have been with several breeders before I met my Sofi. Two of them had even had high ranking gems. They were quite beautiful and they were attracted to me, but it was no secret they viewed me as a doormat to be stepped upon and used. Many males in service have the same experience. The love is never truly there, and they are used for their services in bed more than anything. Such an empty partnership causes men to withdraw after a while. I know in my time I hated the disrespect I was given and I was becoming resentful of my partner. I may be a male in a society dominated by women and breeders, but I also command respect. Sofiel was the first one to ever truly see me for who I am and not what I could do for him in the sheets..."
As he spoke that last part, he let his eyes drift over to his wife. They were full of adoration and love. "My guess would be that Gabriel has had a few too many mates that treated him like property and have not valued him for all that he likely is. He's probably come to a conclusion that every breeder is out to use him and discard him like a piece of rubbish. You say he keeps asking you when you're going to dismiss him, correct? That alone proves my theory. He's taking it out on you because this is all he knows, Raziel. His years of service have made him jaded and full of anger."
The archangel looked at Nakir thoughtfully and nodded. It seemed to make sense and he felt guilty for how he belittled Gabriel so much when they had met. He treated the dominion as no better than a dog or a piece of furniture. "I don't know how to prove to him that... that I want him to be my lifemate. I want him to love me and I'll make him feel loved too, but he's not even letting me get close enough to try."
"All I can say it what Sofiel has already said. It's going to take time. All you can do is try to be gentle with him and show him kindness whenever you can, but don't expect anything in return. Don't try to push him or force him to change either, that never works. If you truly give it your all, eventually your feelings and kindness will shine through to him." Nakir tried to reassure his friend, though he felt his advice was still not a short-term fix for the problem at hand. Re: Elysium

“It's likely he's keeping you at arm's length in order to avoid getting hurt again. Distance is a common defense when one is scared of the vulnerability that intimacy causes.” Sofiel nodded while he delicately sipped his soup. “Look how vulnerable mating during my cycle left Nakir. He couldn't even move afterward and if I wasn't here to take care of him, he would have suffered. I have heard stories before...of breeders and women leaving their male as soon as they have his seed. Sometimes they're so drained that they actually perish in the bed.”
Sofiel ate a few more mouthfuls of soup before he had to put the bowl aside, half-finished. His belly was cramping again and he rubbed a hand over it absently, trying to soothe ache. “It seems like it's going to take a lot of time with this one, Raziel. You may even have to be a little aggressive, force him to see that you mean him now harm.” Sofiel chuckled weakly, giving his friend a teasing look. “I doubt that being a little forceful should be too difficult for you.” Re: Elysium

Raziel nearly paled at the image of breeders mating with their males then leaving them to die. He couldn't imagine such a horrible fate and he wondered if Gabriel had ever been in that situation, weak and close to death with no one around to help him or nurse him. His throat tightened, it was too sad to even comprehend such neglect. "That's so horrible... If he had an experience like that I can understand then why he can't mate. That would be very traumatizing, I'd imagine."
What Sofiel said next made the archangel giggle. "It's harder for me to play this sweet and kind act and not just command him to do whatever I want." He laughed, finding his usual nature comical all of a sudden. "I even tried to put a collar on him... That didn't go over very well." He blushed, turning his gaze away. "I did everything wrong with him from the start. My servants don't mind playing their parts as my demure, submissive little pets, but I was stupid to think I could make Gabriel be my pet too. I didn't really know anything about Sires, I'm sure you figured out my naivete." Raziel sighed, letting his bowl rest in his lap. "You know, I asked Gabriel if he ever loved anyone before and he gave me the iciest look. His face almost frightened me... He hasn't spoken to me at all after that. I guess it was out of line for me to pry so deep so soon." Re: Elysium

“The wounds love can cause cut the deepest and bleed the longest.” Sofiel murmured. He was not unfamiliar with that sort of ache; Nakir was not the only one with a past. “Just keep trying, Raziel. Eventually he'll let you love him. After that, he may let himself love you back. I think he would be a good mate for you. You need someone who can remain cool, just as I need Nakir's strength to offset my weakness. You have a fire in you that gets you into trouble sometimes. Having someone temper that flame a little would be good for you.”
Sofiel leaned back in his seat, feeling utterly exhausted again. What he wanted most at the moment was to climb back in bed with his husband, but Laziel needed to be looked after. A father's work was never done. “Try not to put on an act with him. I think he might appreciate your honesty more.” He sat back up and pushed himself to his feet again, needing to move or he would collapse. “You want him to fall in love with who you really are, don't you?” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 24, 2012, 2:55am
Raziel gave a nod, appreciating his friend's advice and thinking of Gabriel in a new light. "He's been hurt a lot. That's the only thing I can figure, and maybe he loved someone and they left him to die? I don't know, but I can only guess he's been through some horrible situations. I don't want to be another thorn in his heart. I'll do my best to follow your advice and stay persistent." Raziel said with more determination than he had had the last time Sofiel gave him advice. He then noticed the weary look on the breeder's face, setting his bowl aside and getting up to stand beside the cherubim. "Are you okay? You should go back to resting. Let me take care of whatever you need done. You should lie down, you look a bit paler than usual, Sofi."
"My love, come lay next to me. While Raziel is here, you should rest more. You're still too weak to be up and about." He said with concern in his voice. Raziel was volunteering to help them out, and he was not about to refuse it. His wife needed to be cared for as much as he did, and Laziel was too young to take on such a responsibility.
"You know, maybe I can get a servant here for you guys. I have plenty of them, and they are all very sweet. It would probably help you both out a lot and Laziel would have someone to play with when you're both busy. What do you say?" Raziel asked, all too eager to aid his friends however he could. Re: Elysium

“I'm fine, I'm just a little tired.” Sofiel grumbled, but even Laziel looked concerned for his father. He had stopped playing with his blocks and was just watching the cherubim with a frown. “And I appreciate your offer, Raziel, but you've done far too much for us already. I can look after my own home and family, I've been doing it for years without any help.”
“Father...Are you sick?” Laziel rose to his feet and went to his parent. He looked up at him with wide eyes and clung to his skirt. “If you need to go to sleep, I'll be quiet. I won't make any noise at all, I promise.”
Sofiel sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat as he looked down at his son. He bent down and pressed a kiss to the child's forehead. “Alright, I'll get some rest. I have an idea, why don't you get some of your books and we'll read?” Laziel smiled and nodded, running off to go do just that. Sofiel shuffled off to the bed and climbed in with a soft groan, leaning heavily into his mate's side. Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 24, 2012, 3:20am
"You know I love you all like my family. Anything I do for you is no inconvenience." Raziel said honestly, glad to see that Sofi was taking his advice and crawling into bed to rest. "I suppose if you both read to Laziel in bed he will eventually nap with you two. There's more food in that basket if you grow hungry later. I'll cover the pot so the leftover soup stays warm." Raziel then went over to it and did just that. He then gathered up their bowls to go and wash them in the kitchen. When he returned, he set the clean bowls out on the table beside the basket.
Nakir pet Sofiel's back and nuzzled the top of his wife's head, inhaling his scent and feeling relaxed as he waited for their child to return. He prayed Laziel would avoid climbing over his lap again, almost groaning at the thought.
"I guess I should leave you two be so you can rest, but if you need me for anything don't hesitate to call for me." Raziel said as he smiled down on his tired companions. "I'll go to the Queen's court to discuss your petition and show her the scroll. I'll return tomorrow and let you know of her decision."
"I pray it is in our favor." Nakir said sleepily, with a full belly and his lover pressed to his side, he could hardly find the energy to stay awake. "Thank you Raziel."
The archangel gave a nod, leaving the room to find Laziel and give the child a big hug before flying off towards Ajma and the Queen's golden court. "Take care little bird, and stay off your Sire's lap." He grinned, patting the boy's head before he silently slipped out of their house and took flight. Re: Elysium

“Thank you again, Raziel. For everything.” Sofiel gave the blond a sleepy smile, starting to feel the affects of being comfortable with his mate himself. He had just about dozed off when Laziel came running back into the room with his book of stories in his arms. Sofiel made sure he climbed into the bed on his side, to avoid any more incidents with Nakir's poor groin. Laziel settled in between them and Sofiel opened up the book to begin reading.
It was only an hour later that his little one had nodded off, along with his sire. He closed the book and watched the pair of them, Laziel curled up against his sire's side, cradled in his strong arm. There was so much of his sire in Laziel. They even snored the same. Sofiel smiled and set the book aside before tucking himself in next to them. He whispered a prayer for Raziel before he drifted off, hoping that the archangel would know this sort of warmth one day soon. Re: Elysium

A week had passed since the day Raziel had an audience with the Queen on Nakir's behalf. It had taken some work to persuade her in the Power's favor, but Raziel had eventually succeeded, and the happiness that he brought to the little family was payment enough for his efforts. With Gabriel staying out of sight more often than not, the archangel found he was spending more of his time with them, visiting almost every day he could. He had even tried learning how to cook from Sofiel, hoping that he could use that skill towards impressing his Sire. Something had to eventually make the stern blonde see that he truly wanted him.
Yet whenever he returned home, aside from his servants who he cared for dearly, he was left cold by the dominion. There was no warmth in Gabriel, only that fear and persistent anger. The archangel tried to be friendly whenever he saw him, which wasn't often. He found himself standing outside the dominion's door again, anxious and worried he'd just screw everything up even more. His hair was tied back into a low hanging ponytail and he wore a flowing dress of light pink, complimenting his soft lips. He had a basket hanging from one arm of baked goods that he made under Sofiel's careful guidance. He reached out then and knocked, though he could hear his heart already knocking louder in his chest.
"Gabriel? It's me. I just wanted to check up on you and make sure you're okay. I have some snacks I made for you..." He said almost hesitantly, wondering when the angel ever came out to eat. He was pretty good at eluding Raziel most days and making sure their paths did not cross. "Please, I just want to take care of you. Don't shut me out like this." Re: Elysium

The door opened to a rather exasperated looking Gabriel, who showed no signs of starvation or that he had become an unkempt recluse. His hair and skin were as golden as ever and his attire was quite becoming, a loin cloth made of detailed gold piece with several strips of sheer silk panels layered together. It sat low on his hips, just barely keeping his modesty. There was only the usual look of mild irritation he got whenever Raziel was near.
“I'm perfectly fine. I'm not some invalid incapable of looking after myself.” He replied, leaning against the doorway as he looked down at the archangel. “And after the last time you baked for me, I would be wary of eating anything in that basket. Was there anything else?” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 25, 2012, 12:17am
"You always look so excited to see me." Raziel couldn't contain his sarcasm as he pulled away some of the white cloth on the top of the basket to reveal little cakes, cookies, and pastries that looked perfectly delectable. "Sofiel gave me lessons and helped me make these. I promise they are a lot better than the maple cookies. Those even took me several attempts... Anyway, may I come in?"
The archangel noticed how dashing Gabriel looked and figured that the dominion was still keeping up his fine appearance. He was just as strong and well-kept as ever. The blonde's eyes couldn't help but take it all in, especially that thick nestle of curled hair that was poking through the hem of his silks. It would take tremendous willpower for Raziel not to push the angel down onto his bed and rape him. He had to mentally kick himself and be reminded that he was on a mission to go slow and make Gabriel comfortable. They needed to build a friendship at the very least. Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 25, 2012, 12:26am
“It's your home. I could hardly stop you.” Gabriel replied dryly and stood aside to let the archangel in. He had no one under his bed this time, which was a mild relief. He had actually been reading before Raziel's arrival and his book was still open on the table. Gabriel went back to the chair he had originally been occupying, which was almost dwarfed by his size. It creaked ominously under his weight and he sighed. He had discovered that very little in this house was built to accommodate large males and he sat in chairs at his own peril. So far he had been lucky.
“So, what is your real reason for coming to my room?” Gabriel asked while he picked up his book again. He glanced up at Raziel under the fringe of his bangs and smirked. “Hoping for another session in my bed?” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 25, 2012, 12:34am
Raziel set the basket of goodies down on Gabriel's bedside table then took a seat on the edge of the bed. He reached over and fished out a cookie for himself, popping it into his mouth and giving the dominion a shake of his head. "Nn nn." He said before swallowing his mouthful so he could finally speak. He looked over at the blonde, noticing the book in his hand and he wondered if he enjoyed to read a lot. He knew he didn't know much of anything about the man at all, making it hard to find ways to please him.
"I'm here for you. Is there anything you need or would like? Anywhere you'd like to go, or anything you want to do? I have a really big library near the back of the west wing. I don't know if you've seen it. Have you gotten to really explore the palace much? I could show you around." The archangel was all too eager to find ways to spend time with Gabriel and not anger the blonde and make him walk away. He had to be careful, he knew. "I just want to get to know you and spend some time with you, if you're wondering why I am here. I would like to try and be your friend." Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 26, 2012, 11:23pm
“....” Gabriel just stared at him blankly for several silent, long minutes. This sudden turnaround in Raziel's attitude towards him was disconcerting. His eagerness to please and the way he was clinging was making his skin crawl. Gabriel shifted uncomfortably in his chair and lowered his book. His lips turned down in a frown. “I've seen enough of the house on my own and I found the library. Where did you think these books came from?”
The dominion kept a wary eye on the archangel and leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest. The breeder wanted something, he just knew it. He wished he would just speak it and be done with it. “What do you want?” Gabriel asked again, his tone sharper this time. “I've little use for false pleasantries. Just tell me what you want so we can be done with this.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 26, 2012, 11:39pm
Raziel blushed in embarrassment when Gabriel pointed out the obvious fact that he got the books from the library. What came next made his lips curl into a grin and he crossed his legs, leaning back on the bed with his arms. "Well, that's fairly simple. I don't have any intentions of giving you up like your previous mates had. I want us to get along, because I want you to be my companion. You're always so suspicious of my motives and I'm guessing you likely can't stand me, but I've gone out of my way to try and get you to like me." Raziel sighed then, not knowing what else he could say to Gabriel. Either he believed him or he didn't.
Raziel then narrowed his gaze at the blonde dominion. "You think I am doing all of this because I want to get laid, I'm sure. You already told me you can't provide in that area, so I accept it. That doesn't mean I've lost interest in you... I like your scent and you made me feel good, so my feelings that I initially had towards you have changed and I want to get to know you more. I find you attractive and mysterious, even if you're usually frigid and brooding all the time behind your stoic face. Does this answer satisfy you?" Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 26, 2012, 11:54pm
“They were not mates. I have never had a mate.” Gabriel growled, “And I think we get along well enough. No blows have been exchanged, at any rate. If you want to keep me, then so be it. I don't really care one way or the other. I've no interest in being your companion, however. If you would keep your distance, that would suit me just fine. I'm willing to pleasure you, if you want it, but I'm not interested in friendship. Besides, aren't I just a 'slave'?”
Gabriel snorted and rolled his eyes, then decided to go back to his book. “If you want to sit there and admire me, feel free. I won't stop you. As long as you're quiet.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 27, 2012, 12:15am
Raziel stopped smiling then as Gabriel hit a chord inside him, making his feathers ruffle in anger. He couldn't understand how the dominion could be so incredibly cynical towards bonding with others. "Tell me Gabriel, what do you want? If you were not a slave, passed around like a piece of luggage, what would you do? Surely you can't go through your entire life hating everyone and being so thoroughly miserable. I am sure you really would like a friend, it would make your world a little brighter, wouldn't it? You're not fooling me with your cold indifference. You really want to be loved and appreciated, treated as an equal and respected. You're a strong, proud warrior and you're unhappy with your lot in life..." He said in a cool, analytical tone, sitting up and looking at the blonde with intense interest.
Despite the hurt and anger he felt, he tried to remain calm. "You want me to simply ignore you and leave you alone? Then what? You'll be here in my home for a very long time, Gabriel. Unless I die in battle, you'll likely run into me. I'm sure you'd just love to see me get slain so you'd no longer have to deal with me and my baskets of baked goods, or my constant efforts to treat you right. You throw it all in my face when I am really trying. You don't care how it hurts me, you likely enjoy it." The archangel's eyes glistened with tears of his anger and hurt, accumulated from all the times Gabriel had cut him. Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 27, 2012, 12:35am
“You would not be slain on the battlefield. I would die first. My duties do not lie in the bedroom alone. I would follow you into battle and protect you with my life, unhappy as it may be.” Gabriel spoke matter-of-factly and shut his book with soft thump. He looked down at Raziel with an unreadable expression and rose to his feet. “You made your feelings towards me very clear on the day we met and it was nothing new to me or that I couldn't abide by. Then I touch you in the bath, admittedly a mistake on my part, and suddenly you're in love with me? You've barely had me a month.”
He made that rude snorting noise again and glared at Raziel. “You want to know what I would like? I would like to not be forced in everything. Since I was old enough, I was forced into service. I am forced to be passed around from lord to lord and then forced to serve them in whatever manner they wish. Now, I am forced to have your 'friendship' thrust upon me. I am forced to accept all your fawning attentions. And when I have no patience for it, I am forced to listen to you whine about how cold I am to you.” Gabriel gave an exasperated sigh and rolled his eyes. “What I would like, for once in my life, is to truly have a choice in what happens in my life. Choice. That is what I want.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 27, 2012, 12:51am
Gabriel's words had been sobering for the hotheaded archangel and his eyebrows furrowed in guilt. He hadn't thought that he was forcing anything on Gabriel since he had pledged to treat him as an equal. He didn't realize he was being pushy even in his attempts at befriending him. He slid his hands over his knees then and turned his eyes down towards the floor, giving a long, defeated sigh.
"I'm sorry..." He said in a small voice that was hardly his own. He felt small then, like an ignorant fool that knew nothing. Raziel was selfish, and it became more apparent as Gabriel spoke and he realized he never thought much or cared about what he may have felt. Everything he had done thus far was for his own satisfaction, not for Gabriel. "Then..." He started, slowly glancing back up at the tall blonde "...I give you permission to choose, but you'll only have personal freedom within these walls. I cannot give you freedom outside of my estate. You may do whatever you like here. You can kick me out of your room if it suits you." Re: Elysium

“Oh really? Well then, what I choose to do is go back to my book.” Gabriel huffed and took his seat again with a little more force than he should have. The way the chair creaked this time gave him pause, but when it did not collapse under him, he picked up his book and flipped back to his page. “You can do whatever you wish. Stay, leave, I don't care. If you decide to leave, then I wish you good evening.” Re: Elysium

Raziel was slightly relieved that Gabriel was tolerating him and not running away or telling him to get lost. His thoughts were momentarily interrupted as he heard the loud creak as Gabriel sat in his chair and Raziel looked up, noticing how precarious it seemed under the dominion's weight. The blonde blinked a moment as Gabriel went back to his book. "Would you like a more comfortable chair? I can have some servants bring one in for you. That old thing you're sitting on isn't quite made for a man of your stature." He then reached over to the basket of goodies and plucked out another cookie for himself, feeling more at ease around Gabriel than he had before. The dominion was a piece of work, but he'd take it in stride. Re: Elysium

“Very little of the furniture in this place is meant for one of my stature. This is a palace of waifs.” Gabriel grumbled. “I'm amazed that the bed is large enough for me, given how dainty everything else is around here. Lord and servants included.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 27, 2012, 2:01am
Raziel gave a snort and decided to lay back on Gabriel's bed and make himself comfortable. He wasn't planning on going anywhere as long as Gabriel tolerated his company. "I'm not a waif, I'm just not a giant covered in rippling muscles like you. You're even larger than Sofiel's husband Nakir, and I always thought he was a very big male. I guess I'll have to buy some furniture more your size. Maybe that is something we can do one of these days, before we have to return to the battlefield. Only if you want to, of course." The archangel added, making sure he remembered that he was letting Gabriel decide what he wanted to do. He then rolled onto his size and snuggled with the dominion's pillow, catching his scent from it and closing his eyes. He almost wanted to roll around in it like a cat in catnip, but he refrained and simply enjoyed it while he could. Re: Elysium

“Oh yes, that sounds like a lovely way to spend a day. Furniture shopping. With you.” Gabriel snorted softly. He finally had to put his book down, resigned to the fact that he would not be able to read it while Raziel was occupying the same space. He had been trying to read the same sentence since the archangel had entered the room. It was a futile effort. Sighing, he set it on the table then looked at the breeder sprawled in his bed and sniffing his pillow with such a pleased look on his face. His lips twitched and he almost laughed at the ridiculous sight.
“Would you like to take it with you?” He asked quietly as he rose to his feet again. He walked over to the bed and stopped at the edge to look down at the archangel with a speculative brow raised. “You seem to be enjoying it more than I do.” Re: Elysium

Raziel hadn't realized how he must have looked, and despite his attempts at restraint, he was rubbing his face against the pillow and inhaling from it deeply as though he was in a trance by Gabriel's scent. When he heard the chair creak again, his eyes snapped open and he saw Gabriel standing above him, looking down at him and teasing him. His cheeks turned red and he felt a bit mortified to have been caught in such an odd act. He then sat up quickly and ran a hand through his hair. "Uh, I was... uh... it was comfy." He said dumbly. “Oh, I'm sure. It certainly looked like you were quite comfortable there.” Gabriel smirked. Catching the archangel in such a ridiculous act and seeing him so flustered by it was interesting. Raziel seemed softened by it, more...appealing. He felt a desire to reach out and pull the other angel against him, but he resisted, still hesitant t becoming too familiar. “You certainly didn't need to stop on my account.” Re: Elysium

Raziel smiled lightly then and laid back down, going back to the pillow. "Okay." He said simply, closing his eyes and enjoying the intoxicating scent some more as he buried his face against the soft pillow and sniffed happily. It was almost like he was hypnotized by it and the more he took in, the less he cared about how foolish he looked. "Can I take a nap here? You'll be able to read, I'll be quiet." He practically purred, cuddling the pillow happily. Part of him wished he could just bury his face right against Gabriel, but he was sure the dominion would not appreciate that sort of closeness. The pillow would have to do. "Your bed is nice~" Re: Elysium

“I would think your bed is far more comfortable. Or do you actually only give your guests bed while you sleep on the floor?” Gabriel asked, shaking his head. This was the first time he had ever seen such behavior from one of his lords before. Perhaps Raziel really did find his scent attractive. Which would explain all the clingy and forceful behavior. “I'm done reading. It's a losing fight, trying to read with you in the room. Just your presence is a distraction. It became impossible to do anything else besides pay attention to you the moment you walked in.” Re: Elysium

Raziel shook his head at Gabriel's first question and was so comfortable then, it would take lifting the archangel off the bed by force to make him move. "Mmm comfy..." He mumbled, feeling so relaxed he felt as though he really could take a nap. "If you can't read or do anything, why not nap with me? There's room for us both.... I think." He smiled, knowing that if Gabriel wanted to nap on the bed he'd have to be in cuddle-range. Raziel's bright blue eyes fluttered open then and he gazed up at the tall blonde. "Wanna cuddle?" He asked innocently, though straight-forward. What he'd do to be able to sniff Gabriel and feel his warm body against his own... Re: Elysium

“...I think I'll pass. Enjoy the bed.” Gabriel replied after a moment and turned away to leave. This was entering dangerous territory. “I think I'll go find my peace in the library. You know, where I got those books. Have a good nap.” Re: Elysium

Raziel looked up at the dominion with disappointment on his face then. "Fine, run away from me again. You're pretty good at that." He mumbled, rolling over on the bed so his back and wings were facing Gabriel. He then grabbed up his blankets and pulled them over himself, curling up into a ball on the soft bed. He didn't want to leave, the scent was too nice and he felt cozy. He closed his eyes again then, trying to ignore the sadness that was creeping up on him. Gabriel wasn't subtle about trying to avoid him, and it was clear the tall blonde wasn't interested in being cuddly, and he certainly wasn't eager to go beyond that.
A week later...
It had been a long flight to the island of Rafi', but Nakir knew it would be worth the trip. When he had regained his strength he made plans to take his family out to one of Elysium's biggest attractions. It was the Oa'lu Zoo, a place filled with exotic animals and creatures collected from the lower realm. The Power knew his son would be delighted to see and interact with some of the zoo's critters, and it would be perfect for them to get out into the fresh air and make more memories together as a family. He was so grateful he finally had the time to spend with them and not have to worry about the hellish war below. It had been far too long, and Laziel had been too small to remember the first time they had gone to the Oa'lu Zoo.
As they flew, he carried his son in his strong arms, Sofiel was at his side. As the clouds parted, the island came into view and a short while later, they were landing on a dirt path that led to a large, wooden gate with two bamboo torches posted at either side. The entire zoo was crafted in a tribal theme of wood, stones, and tropical plants, mimicking the style of the primitive architecture of the strange feline-like demons they had observed in the lower realm. Many of the animals in the zoo were taken from the great plains and jungles of those exotic lands far below Elysium.
"Welcome to Oa'lu!" An angel standing by the gates said cheerfully as he greeted the small family. Nakir smiled and passed Laziel over to Sofi so he could take out his coin pouch and pay for their visit. It was only a very small fee to keep the zoo running, and to keep the animals fed and cared for. As Nakir handed the man his coin, the gates were opened and they were let in. The air was alive with the sounds of birds singing and other strange sounds. The dirt path changed then to slabs of wood and on either side were pens with wooden gates, housing various animals of all sizes, shapes, and colors.
"What would you two like to see first?" Nakir asked as he wrapped his strong arm around Sofi's shoulders and they made their way slowly inside the large enclosure. Re: Elysium

“Oh, I don't know...It's been so long since we were here. Maybe we should just walk around and look at everything.” Sofiel replied, leaning against his husband's side. Since Raziel had delivered the news that Nakir's petition for leave time had been accepted, it was like a weight had lifted off their family and they were finally truly happy for the first time in centuries. For Sofiel, waking up every morning with Nakir sleeping beside him was like a dream that he never thought would come true. He was even considering giving up his work at the eyrie to stay home and devote himself full time to looking after his family and household. Now that Nakir was back, there was a healer to take his place now. Nakir would need something to fill his days with as well and since he was out of service, his stipend had been reduced. The work would make up for the decrease in his pay. Nothing had been discussed between them yet, however; Sofiel wanted to enjoy some time with his mate first before they worried too much about anything else.
“Father, let me down.” Laziel whined, tugging on Sofiel's hair to get his attention. “I wanna go look!”
“Alright, alright...Just stay near, you hear me?” Sofiel spoke while he set his squirming son down on the ground. The child fairly fluttered out of his arms as he scampered off to go peer into one of the pens with wide eyes. “His wings are starting to grow out...it won't be long now before you're teaching him to fly.”
Sofiel smiled and turned back to look up at Nakir. He reached up to take his husband's hand, weaving his slender fingers together with the sire's larger, rougher digits. “I'm surprised you suggested we go out...you were still fairly tender yesterday. All this walking isn't going to be too rough on you?” He asked, some concern in his bright eyes. It had taken a week after their mating before Nakir could handle being touched enough for Sofiel to apply a healing salve to his body. Even then, he'd had to use a very light touch. “I don't want you to push yourself too much.” Re: Elysium

Nakir gave Sofiel's hand a gentle squeeze and looked down at his lifemate, shaking his head and smiling as a warm breeze ruffled his hair. "I'm fine, love. I don't plan on doing any running or ride any of the beasts, so it should be okay. It's still a little tender, but nowhere as sore as it was a few days ago. In all the times we've mated during your cycle, I don't think I have ever rubbed myself that raw." He chuckled, hardly able to believe how roughly he had ridden his wife in their mating frenzy. "And what about you? How have you been faring? You're very good at hiding your discomforts from me, but I know I left you rather sore as well."
The two of them strolled along slowly and now and then Nakir glanced towards Laziel, keeping an eye on the boy. He was so glad to see how excited the child was, eager to explore and learn. "I look forward to teaching him how to fly. I remember when my Sire lifted me up in his strong arms and ran around the yard with me. It was frightening at first, being tossed up into the air, but once my wings caught the wind, that was the first happiest day of my life. The second, of course, is when I met you." He chuckled, leaning in to give Sofi a tender kiss on the lips. Re: Elysium

“I'm fine, don't worry about me. It didn't hurt when Laziel sat on my lap.” Sofiel replied, his cheeks pinking slightly. He returned Nakir's kiss with a smile, then turned his gaze back to Laziel, watching their child dart around excitedly, trying his hardest to see everything all at once. “Just...promise me you'll be careful when it comes time for Laziel to learn. I get so worried...”
“Father, sire! Look at these strange things, what are they?” Laziel asked, running back to the couple and taking Nakir's hand, tugging him over to a pen filled with several large beasts that resembled cows, but were covered in layers of shaggy, dark brown hair and had horns that curled back from their foreheads in a loose spiral. “They're so big! Did they really come from down below? Did you ever see them, sire?” Re: Elysium

Nakir laughed at Sofi's comment about his lap, knowing he was the one that was worse for wear given his equipment was on the outside. "That was no picnic." He said as he recalled how much it had hurt when Laziel climbed onto his lap. The poor child was so innocent and had no understanding of how tender he was and why. Someday he knew they'd have to have the talk with their son and teach him about mating, but for now it was fine to let the child stay ignorant on such things. Nakir looked down at Sofi then as the breeder worried about Laziel's flying lessons. "Don't worry dear, you know I would never, ever drop him, and if he loses his balance and falls, I will will be flying with him and I will catch him. On my first flight I nearly dove into a tree, but my Sire caught me. I wouldn't let him fly very far on his own, not until I'm sure he truly has gotten the hang of it." The power said as he rubbed his wife's shoulder, trying to reassure him.
Once Laziel came back and took Nakir's hand, the tall angel had no choice but to be tugged along. The faster pace made him wince as his thighs rubbed against his sensitive sac. "Uhh... so much for not running..." He groaned, glancing up at the large animals. They had a rather pungent odor to them and he watched as they chewed on grass and made mooing sounds. "Those are called Basenox, they're an animal that travels across the plains of the lower realm in large herds." Nakir tried to sound as though he already knew everything, but in truth he read the plaque that was beside their pen. Re: Elysium

“I wanna go down and see them someday.” Laziel murmured. He turned back and looked up at his father with a bright, innocent smile. “Maybe I can be a soldier like you, sire. Then I can see all the stuff that's down there and fight demons! I'll kill all the demons and then we can live down there and see these things all the time.”
Sofiel's smile faltered at his son's enthusiastic exclamations about joining the war and his hand tightened around Nakir's. He bit his lip and reached out to take Laziel's hand, pulling him away from the pen. “Laziel, let's go get a treat, hmm? Maybe some sweet ice crystals. You've never had that before, have you?” Laziel shook his head and his eyes lit up at the promise of a treat. “What flavor would you like to try? My favorite is maple, but they have a lot of choices...”
A few minutes later, Sofiel was seated on a bench with Nakir, an untouched cup of maple flavored ice in his hand while he watched Laziel scamper around, trying to feed some of the birds his lingonberry ice. The red syrup stained the area around his mouth red, as well as his hands where he had dripped it on himself.
“We can't let him become a soldier, Nakir.” Sofiel murmured. His breathing hitched for a moment and his hand unconsciously tightened around his cup, crumpling up the stiff paper a little. “It was bad enough when it was just you, but Laziel...He's too sweet, too gentle. If he joins this war one day, it will change him. He's not even gemmed! He's not strong enough to fight, he'll only end up as a trophy for one of those evil creatures!” Re: Elysium

Nakir's face grew somber as Laziel spoke of going to war and becoming a soldier someday. He would never want his son to see the horrible carnage that he had seen, or be in any sort of danger. Demons were not merciful and he could not bear the thought of his son having his wings hacked off and then being left in a heap of corpses to die an agonizing death. "You're still too young to understand what it means to go to war, when you're older we'll talk about it." He said flatly, not wanting to encourage the child or give him any grand ideas. When Sofiel brought up the sweet treats, Nakir sighed, relieved in the change of subject.
As he sat on the bench with the cherubim beside him, he enjoyed a lemon flavored sweet ice. He watched Laziel play and try to feed the birds, so happy and oblivious to the anguish he had caused his father. Nakir looked at Sofiel as the angel spoke, nearly panicking at the thought of losing their child to war. "He's only five, Sofi. He has no concept of what war is. In his mind it's probably some glorious fantasy of good guys verse bad guys. When he is older, he will come to understand what it truly entails and he will see that it is not fun and games. I will try my best to introduce him to different hobbies and hope he picks up a vocation when he is older. He's such a sweet and gentle boy, perhaps he would like to paint and make art or sculpt with clay. Maybe he'll even take up music. There's plenty of time to groom him for life as an adult. Please don't worry yourself, love." Re: Elysium

“I know, he's still young, but...Nakir, you don't know how much he idolizes you. When you were away, he always talked about how much he wanted to be just like you, to fight with you...You're his hero, Nakir. I can't help but worry that he'll try to follow in your footsteps one day.” Sofiel sighed and pressed the heel of his hand against his eyes. “I'm sorry, you're right. I'm worrying too much. I mean, the war might be ended by the time he's old enough. It's possible, right?”
Sofiel gave his mate a wan smile and took a bite of his nearly completely melted ice. He leaned against Nakir's side, needing the comfort of his presence, and closed his eyes, only to jerk them open a moment later when Laziel let out a loud cry and started wailing. The child had tripped chasing after one of the birds, sprawling out on the graveled ground and scattering the remains of his ice. Sofiel immediately jumped to his feet and went to scoop the child up, holding him close and rocking him.
“Hush, hush...you're alright.” Sofiel cooed while Laziel clung to him and cried. “Here, let me see...Tsk, just a little scrape. We can clean that up and patch it in no time.”
“I-I dropped my ice!” Laziel sniffled, looking up at his father with watery eyes. Sofiel shook his head and kissed Laziel's syrup stained cheek.
“Sire will get you another one, come on...” Re: Elysium

Nakir's thick brows furrowed as Sofiel told him how much his son idolized him and strove to be like him. As the cherubim leaned against his side, he wrapped his arm around Sofiel affectionately and held him close. Part of him could understand it. Laziel was a young male and boys tended to take after their sires growing up. He too had wanted to follow in his own sire's footsteps when he was a fledgling boy. His sire was a brave warrior and when Nakir was a young man in his twenties, he had heard news that his father had been slain in battle. At that time he had already been training as a field medic and practicing the arts of healing. His father's death only spurred him on to join the war effort. He didn't want any more good men to die, and in his youth he had a naive notion that he could save them all. His throat tightened as he thought about the first angel that ever died under his care. He had been run through with a sword and a vital artery had been severed. Nakir could do little to save him as he bled out in seconds. He could not bear to think of his son following his lead. It was too horrible a thought.
The war seemed to have stretched on for far too long in centuries of bloodshed that seemed unending. The Queen had no intentions of ending it, Nakir thought bitterly. She had started the war, going to the lower realm and invading the demon's land to take their resources. Of course they would fight back and rebel. As the centuries passed, Nakir barely knew what they were truly fighting for anymore. Surely it wasn't to put a few animals in a zoo or to craft various objects from rare materials. It all seemed so ridiculous, Elysium had more than enough resources of its own to provide for everyone as it had for many millennia.
"I wish I knew, Sofi." He said in a voice full of sadness and apprehension. He knew better than to make false promises to his lover. There were no guarantees in life. When the wailing rang out in the air, Nakir instinctively hopped up and made haste to his son, ignoring the burning sensation in his loins and dropping what little still remained of his own lemon ice onto the ground. Once Sofiel scooped the sobbing boy up, he looked at him with a gentle expression. "It's all right Lazi, let me help get you cleaned up and I'll buy you another ice. Just be careful next time, okay?" The tall angel then opened a pouch that hung off the side of his hip, fetching out a bottle of water he had brought with them in case anyone got thirsty. He also pulled out a clean cotton handkerchief and poured some water onto it until it was good and saturated. He gently wiped the dirt from the boy's scrapes and used more water to rinse the little wounds clean. He then pulled out another handkerchief and wet it, working to clean the red mess from the child's face and hands.
When he finished, he reached out to pinch Laziel's nose, smiling warmly at the boy and giving his nose a quick wiggle side to side. "There, all better. Now let's go get you another ice." Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 29, 2012, 8:07pm
Laziel calmed while Nakir cleaned him up and once he had an ice once again in hand, the little family started walking again to explore the rest of the zoo. Laziel held tight to his sire's hand; he had become a little clingy since Nakir's return and would often prefer the large male holding him to his father. Sofiel did not mind, understanding the child's desire to be near the parent he had lacked for so long. He could not help himself either, always touching the male as if he still expected him to disappear again at any moment.
“Doesn't Mikael work here?” Sofiel asked as they strolled. Laziel was in Nakir's arms again, the boy having gotten tired. Laziel dozed against his sire's shoulder, leaving red syrup stains from his long gone ice. The sight warmed Sofiel, seeing his child cradled in Nakir's strong embrace. “I thought he did. I remember Unziel mentioning it before.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 29, 2012, 8:46pm
Nakir nodded as they walked, holding his snoozing bundle in his arms. "Yeah, he works around the petting zoo area and also does pony rides for the children. He really loves working with animals, I bet he can teach Laziel a whole lot. I wonder if he's working today... I'm sure he'll be surprised to see me back. It's been a long while since we've seen each other." He smiled, steadily making his way towards the area where the ponies were kept.
As the power looked over the wooden rails he could see a rectangular piece of land, flat and covered mostly in sand that was muddled with hoof prints. In the center was a tall angel whose skin was a deep, rich tan darker than wet sand. His wings were as black as night and he was nearly as tall as Nakir, perhaps a touch taller. His hair was pulled back into rows of tight braids that tapered off in the back into wavy locks. On his chest he bore no gem. He was wearing a simple white tunic with a violet wrap around his shoulders and his waist, and gold colored twine wrapped around his wrists and ankles.
"Easy, easy." He said as he pulled the reigns of one of the ponies that was saddled and ready to receive a little rider. He looked up and his light brown eyes shone with his surprise and he smiled, his teeth stark white in contrast with his dark complexion. "Nakir! Hey man! How are you doing? Wow, you got the whole family here with you! Good to see you all, how've you been?" He beamed, glad to see that his friend was back from the war and in one piece. He knew that the power was usually gone more often than not and it was a relief to see him back. "Hey Sofi, it's good to see you too." He made his way over to the edge of the rails then and tied up the pony so he could open the gate and step out. He then leaned in to give Sofiel a big hug and reached out to shake Nakir's hand. "Hah, looks like the little man is all tired out, huh?"
"It's good to see you, Mikael. I got lucky. I'm on leave from the battle field for three whole decades, thanks to Raziel pulling some strings. You'll likely be seeing a lot more of me these days." Nakir said with a large grin, shaking Mikael's hand with enthusiasm.
"Wow, that's great! You really earned this break you know. Unziel is always asking your wife how you're doing. Hey, why don't you two come over for dinner tonight? It's a long flight to Rafi' from Hay'oun, you two should come over when you're done enjoying your time here. You're even welcome to spend the night, I'm sure Unziel won't mind and Laziel can play with Mariel. We can catch up, it's been too long man!"
Nakir was eager to accept the man's offer, knowing he and his wife would be tired and the flight back seemed a bit daunting after a long day at the zoo. He had originally planned to get a room for them someplace nearby, but the offer of free lodgings was far more appealing. "Sure, if it's not too much trouble on you guys. I haven't gotten to really see anyone since I got home, aside from Sofi and my boy here. We've been busy trying to make another hatchling." He smiled, reaching out to hug Sofiel to his side and rub the breeder's arm. "Still a bit sore, but it was worth it." Re: Elysium

“Hello Mikael.” Sofiel smiled, returning the hug. Laziel stirred as he was jostled in Nakir's arms and he blinked sleepily, rubbing at his eyes with one little fist. Sofiel reached up and rubbed his back reassuringly when the boy looked around wonderingly, a little bewildered to not be having his nap in his bed. The petite brunette pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and used it to wipe up some of the red that still stained his lips and cheeks, as well as Nakir's shoulder, while the sires talked.
“That's so generous of you. We'd be happy to join you for dinner, if it's not too much trouble for you.” Sofiel smiled, pulling Laziel down from Nakir so he could wipe him off a little better. He blushed when Nakir mentioned they were trying for another child and lowered his eyes. “Laziel, look, it's Mikael. You remember Mikael? He's Mariel's sire.”
“Oh.” Laziel blinked and then yawned broadly. “I like Mariel, she's nice. She plays with me at the nursery where father takes care of the eggs.”
“How are Unziel and Mariel?” Sofiel asked, looking up at the dark angel. “I haven't really been out of the house much lately, I've been missing our chats. Laziel and I have been getting reacquainted with Nakir.” Re: Elysium
Post by Butler Eiji on Feb 29, 2012, 11:34pm
"Oh they are doing just fine. Unziel was wondering what you've been up to lately. Now that Nakir is back, that answers that. It's good you two have been reunited, I'm sure Laziel is happy to have his sire back too, aren't you?" Mikael grinned, looking at the sleepy child as he started to wake up in his father's arms. "I see he had some sweet ice. Say, Laziel, would you like to ride on a pony? Since you're here. Tabatha here is the gentlest thing." He said as he reached out to pet the pony behind the wooden pen. The animal raised its lips to gently brush against Mikael's hand and then shook its head. Its tail gave a contented wag and the pony made a light snort of approval.
Nakir looked to Laziel then and grinned. "Are you awake enough to ride the pony without falling off?"
Mikael gave a laugh. "I wouldn't let him fall off, I'd lose my job if he did. Trust me, it's totally safe." Re: Elysium
Post by onichan01 on Feb 29, 2012, 11:55pm
“Yeah, I wanna ride!” Laziel chirped, instantly perking up. Sofiel let him go reluctantly, his protective instincts over his only hatchling warring with Laziel's desire to try riding a pony. He huffed a little as Laziel squirmed away and climbed onto the back of the animal.
“Be careful, Laziel.” He called, then settled in against Nakir's side while they watched Mikael lead him off. When they were alone, he cast his husband a shy glance under his lashes. “Nakir, there was something I wanted to tell you when we had a moment alone. It looks like we won't have to wait until my next cycle to try for another hatchling...I've been seeded. In seven months, you'll be seeing your second child laid.” Re: Elysium

Nakir smiled as Mikael led Laziel around on the pony, amused by the sight. He knew his son was having a fantastic time and it made the angel feel peaceful and happier than he had been in a long time. When Sofiel pressed against his side he turned and pulled the cherubim into his arms, running his hand through Sofi's long, silky hair. As the breeder told him the good news, his face lit up and he couldn't contain his excitement. He lifted Sofiel up into his arms and spun around with him once before gently setting him back down. He then pulled Sofiel in and gave him a firm kiss on the lips as he held him possessively in his embrace. "Oh Sofi, that is wonderful news! Thank the stars! Laziel will have a little brother." He beamed, then leaned in to plant several more kisses on the cherub's lips to celebrate their little private moment, though his actions had drawn stares from others nearby.
Mikael had even noticed once Nakir had lifted Sofi and done a spin of delight. The dark-skinned angel didn't have to wonder too hard on what the occasion was and he smiled. "I think your father just told your sire some very good news." Supporting Hell and Elysium Character & Scene Imagery: http://otaku-no-bijutsu.deviantart.com/gallery/33853739
