Blow Me a Kiss

Blow Me a Kiss

Written by Cody Thomas, Age 17
For their mother Dora.
May you find peace during you daughter’s journeys, and may joy reclaim you once more.

Sleep sweetly my Angels, you left me too soon,
But I give you now to my Lady, the Moon.

She’ll rock your cradles and hold you all night,
I wish for one more day to just hold you tight!

You are no longer mine, but just so you know,
You take all my love with you wherever you go.

Your pain is now ended, your souls are now free,
But when you get to where you’re going,
Could you blow a kiss to me?

I loved you so dearly, though now we must part,
Know that your leaving has truly broken my heart.

The pain will not lessen, my heart will not mend,
Nothing can fill in the place where you’ve been.

My Lady and Lord shall now keep you tight,
And protect you from danger all day and all night.

I have no doubt I’ll see you someday,
And then precious darlings oh how we’ll play!

Tea parties, dress up, dolls and wingless flight,
We’ll spend the days together and do whatever you like!

All the game’s I can think of, from house to Peek-A-Boo
We’ll play them all together, and I’ll let you know I love you.

I have so many stories that I’d like to tell to you,
Fairy tales, folksongs, myths and legends too,
One day my darlings I’ll read them all to you.

If you feel inclined to visit, do so without delay,
I’d love to see you dear hearts at any time of day!

My precious, precious sweetlings, born of stars and love,
Please don’t forget to blow a kiss as you watch me from above.

To the memories of

And Rosemary Anne, March 15, 2000- April 28, 2000
Two darlings who left us far too soon.
Rest well and return to us quickly.
