Chapter 2: Lily
Lily walked down the street towards her apartment, she clutched her brown bag filled with groceries close by. She took a deep breath as she enjoyed the brief moment she had to herself as she enjoyed the sights.
The wind picked up a bit as the summer dress she was wearing swayed back and forth. She felt a chill by her legs as her faded yellow summer dress waved. Her hair matched as she pulled her dirty blond hair out of her face.
She looked down and frowned, she felt a bit embarrassed as she walked down the sidewalk, her clothes were old and worn. If only she could indulge in a couple of materialistic things. If only.
She buzzed her way into the apartment complex as she took the stairs instead of the elevators. She fished for her keys from the bag, but stopped short when she heard the muffled noise of the TV coming from inside.
She shivered as she felt panic and fear, she took a deep breath, she would have sworn she had another hour or so to herself.
She didn't even have dinner ready, she braced herself as she turned the door knob and as expected it was unlocked.
The TV was on but the the living room was empty, she turned around to walk into the kitchen were she saw Morgan leaning into the fridge.
She placed the bag on the counter as she greeted, “Your home early,” Morgan stood up a beer visible in had.
'Shit,' Lily cursed mentally, 'I hope that's the first one,'
“Yeah, what too early for you,” Lilly frowned as she shook her head. Morgans rolled her long sleeve up. Lilly eyed the action grimacing. “No, It's a lovely surprise, It's just I don't have dinner ready yet.” Lily smiled reassuringly. Her blue eyes trying to hide panic she felt. She slightly caught a hold of Morgan's dark brown eyes.
She was drunk already, Lily knew it, she could see it, she could sense it and the closer that Morgan got, Lily could smell it.
“When did you get home?” Lily asked as she put away the small things she had bought. She fished the change out from the bottom of the bag as she handed Morgan a couple of crumple up bills.
Morgan took it with out a word as she shoved it into her pocket. She took a long drink from the bottle as she placed the empty bottle on the counter. “You know,” she started as Lily stopped what she was doing and face her. “I'm not really hungry,” Morgan placed on her hands on Lily's hips and pulled her closer.
Lily closed her eyes as the smell of liquor filled her nose, 'no wonder,' she thought. She knew a couple of beer wouldn't really make Morgan that intoxicated.
Involuntarily Lily sniffed the smell that was emanating from Morgan. 'Gin,' she deducted.
Morgan wrapped her arms around Lily pressing herself intimately close to her. Lily slightly protested as she placed her hands on Morgan's chest.
“I should start dinner,” Lily meekly mumbled as she felt Morgan's lips on her neck. She shivered as Morgan chuckled, Morgan of course though she was having an effect on her. Lily was shivering in fear.
Morgan started to lead her towards the bedroom as Lily tried to get away. “Morgan please,” she pleaded as she put more pressure on Morgan's chest trying to separate herself from her.
“what?” Morgan hissed as she got a hold of Lily's wrist and squeeze. Lily contorted her face in pain as she tried to move her hands. “Morgan your hurting me,”
Morgan shook her head as Lily took another step backwards and realized they were in the room.
“This is nothing,” Morgan casually commented Lily closed her eyes. Taking deep breaths.
“Look at me,” Morgan demanded as Lily shook her head. She felt the back of her knee connect with the edge of the bed.
“Look-at-me,” Morgan enunciated as Lily felt a pang of pain in her chest as she tried to controlled her breathing.
“Morgan please not today.” she sobbed as Morgan rubbed her chin and rolled her eyes. “Not today,” he mocked as she let on hand go and Lily moved her finger getting the blood flow running through her wrist.
“Not today,” Morgan repeated coldly, “Not-” Lily braced for it as she felt the impact connect with her cheek, she fell backwards onto the bed. She bounced a bit as she cupped her cheek.
The faint echo of the TV still on filled her ears as she felt Morgan's weight on top of hers.
“Open your eyes,” Lily involuntarily opened them a bit as she saw Morgan's eye darken a bit. Lily was breathing heavy trying no to succumb to the pain.
She felt Morgan's calloused hand slipped under the dress, as Morgan's mouth assaulted her neck. Lily closed her eyes again. She felt Morgan move and suddenly she snapped her eyes opened when Morgan gripped her face painfully.
“Do not close your eyes,” Morgan gritted her teeth as Lily nodded meekly and just gave in.
