Chapter Two

“Hey boy, there are people wearing strange clothes just like you, and walking around with a strange objects in their hands,” Garrick remarked as he hid himself from view.

“Shit!” Erin cursed from the back. He had completely forgotten about them.

How could he forget that they were after him and the key? If they caught him now, when he was with this man, this man’s life would be in danger. He could not let those men get their hands on this man. Not before he could return him to his world. There was only one place left to go besides the Keron building. Erin tapped the man on the shoulder. “Turn around and take a left turn. Then go straight until I tell you to turn left again,” whispered Erin.

Garrick didn’t like being told what to do, but in this situation, he had no choice but to trust the blond haired boy he thought, as he secured his grip on the boy riding on his back with his left hand.

“Hold on tight. We are going to make a run for it,” Garrick said as he saw the shape of a Gia approaching them at fast speed. Whereever they were going better be worth it, he thought as he drew out his sword with one hand. Erin shut his eyes and turned his face to the side, resting it against Garrick’s broad back as he slashed their way through to the other side of the street.

--------------
Erin reached into his pocket and pulled out the key to the house that he and his brother Eric shared. He didn’t switch on the lights, not wanting to draw the attention of those men and the monster Gias. “Come in,” Erin said as he tossed the key onto the table next to the door.

“Is this your castle boy? If it is, I must say that I am not impressed. It's too small. You need to build a bigger one,” Garrick commented as he surveyed the boy’s home.

Erin ignored the man’s rude remarks regarding his and his brother’s home. He went into his bedroom, pulled out a small luggage bag and threw it onto the bed. He then went to his closet and pulled out the clothes he needed. Erin zipped up his luggage bag. He went to his dresser and pulled out a t-shirt and a pair of navy blue jeans.

Garrick was sitting on the sofa, trying to figure out what the hell the remote control in his hand was for and what the hell it was when Erin came out of his room and headed to the bathroom to get himself clean.

“Leave that alone. You don’t want to accidentally switch on the machine in front of you. It would draw the attention of those monsters you call Gias!” Erin shouted as he shut the bathroom door and locked it. Two seconds later, Garrick heard the sound of water running. He tossed the remote control on to the coffee table and leaned back on the sofa.

Erin turned the shower off and stepped out to stand in front of the full length mirror. He took a look at the wound he had received earlier from the monsters, and decided that he needed to stitch it up before bandaging it. But first he would disinfect it.

Garrick shot to his feet when he heard the boy cry out in pain. He hurried to the door that he has seen the boy disappear into, and kicked it in sending the door flying off the hinges and hitting the floor with a loud thud.

Erin stared at his broken door with his mouth hanging open, naked from head to toe. He forgot about his nakedness and stood up, angry at the man for wrecking his home.

“Why, the hell did you kick down my bathroom door ?” he yelled, his voice full of anger, thinking about how mad his brother would be when he returned.

“Don’t get angry with me boy. I only did it because I thought that something happened to you.” Garrick answered flippantly, as if he didn’t give a care that the boy was angry at him.

Erin wanted to strangle the man with his bare hands for answering him in such a way. But before he could even get around to it, they both heard a loud crash coming from the living room, followed by a low growl. ‘Shit,’ thought Erin. They must have heard the sound of the bathroom door hitting the floor. Which only meant that those damned ugly monsters had been close by.

Garrick grabbed Erin’s hand and pushed him back behind him as he drew out his sword, ready to fend off the monsters. Erin pressed his naked body against Garrick’s back. His anger was gone, replaced by fear as he saw the Gias approaching them. The sight of them made him turn his head to the side, and that was when he caught his reflection in the mirror. His eyes shot open wide. Fuck! He was naked. Just as he found out about it, Garrick turned and grabbed him by the waist. “Sorry boy. It looks like I will have to carry you again.”

Not giving the boy a chance to respond, Garrick threw the naked boy over his shoulder and charged forward at the Gias, slaying their way out and killing all the Gias that attacked them. Erin didn’t even have a chance to grab his clothes or his luggage.

----------
“What is this place boy?” Garrick asked as he surveyed the small clothing store.

“It’s a clothing store,” Erin answered as he rummaged through the pile of clothing, looking for one his size.

Garrick came up from behind Erin and pushed him out of the way. The boy was taking too much time and they needed to get moving.

“What the hell was that for?” Erin asked angrily.

Garrick ignored the boy. He reached into the pile of clothes and pulled out a gray shirt and a pair of pants. He handed them to the boy. “Put them on, we need to go.”

Erin glared at the man as he snatched the clothes from him. He turned around and as fast as he could he dressed himself. Erin then went over to the shoes place. He picked out a comfortable pair and quickly slipped them on. “Alright, we can leave now.” Erin announced as he grabbed the jacket he had placed on the counter earlier.

---------------
About five to six men stood in Erin and Eric’s home. They wore jackets with the logo P.G.E. A tall man entered with a phone next to his ear. He give a hand signal telling the men to start searching. He surveyed the room and saw the Gias’ dead bodies lying on the floor from the living room to the bathroom.

“Have you located Erin Kendell and the key yet?” a man with a deep rough voice asked from the other end of the phone.

“We are at the house that he shares with his brother Eric and from what I’m seeing all I can tell you is that we missed him and the key Logan.”

“Find him, and get the key, but remember not to bring harm to him. I need him alive.”

“I understand Logan. Rest assured that we will find him. After all he is a Chivy and every Chivy has a tracking device implanted in them,” remarked the tall man.

“Also while you are at it, search for his brother as well. He seems to have disappeared from the radar,” added Logan.

“Got it Logan,” said the tall man. He snapped the phone shut. “Found anything?” he asked his men.

“All we found was this. It was lying on the bathroom floor next to the mirror.”

The man gave it to his boss. The tall man smiled at the tracking chip in his hand. “Erin you are smarter then I gave you credit for.” The tall man thought.

-------------

Garrick leaned against the wall and watched Erin pick the lock with a small pin. Erin smiled when he heard the lock click. He stood up and smiled at the man. Erin turned the knob and opened the door. Garrick pushed the boy inside and shut the door behind himself. Erin never in his life wanted to kill a man as much as this one. The damn man was so damn rude. He could have at least complimented him for a job will done. It was not like he asked for much.

“What is this place? Is it safe?” Garrick asked as he took in his surroundings.

“Its an abandoned facility It’s safe, don’t worry about it. No one will be able to find us in here. At least not for another three to four days that is,” answered Erin.

“What is a facility?” asked Garrick.

“A facility is a place designed to provide for my people’s needs and wants,” answered Erin.

Erin turned his back to Garrick and made his way to the end of the hall where he turned and open every door looking for a room he could sleep in. Garrick followed the boy. His eyes wandered around the hall. Erin stopped when he found a room with a bed. He stepped inside and Garrick followed.

“I’m taking the bed and you can have the sofa,” said Erin.

“No way am I sleeping on the sofa. I’m a prince. I get the bed, you get the sofa,” said Garrick.

Erin shook his head, “No. I’m the one with an injury, so I should get the bed,” he stated.

“Then I suggest that we share the bed, because there is no way that I am sleeping on that small sofa.”

Erin shook his head again. “I can’t sleep in the same bed as you, I am a Chivy. ”

“What the hell is a Chivy and why the hell can‘t we sleep on the same bed? We are both men.”

“A Chivy is a life carrier and you sir are a giver. That means that we are not allowed to share a bed. It is the law in my world,” explained Erin. “Now, if you will excuse me, I would like to get some sleep.” Erin pulled the blanket up and turned himself in for the night.

Garrick stood completely dumbfounded at what he just heard, while Erin slept.
