Chapter 2

A howl of pain, a yelp of defeat, then silence… a wolf lay on its side, a few arrows embedded into its body. Various cuts could still be seen bleeding as the creature met its end. Confident that it wouldn't be getting back up to attack again, Luna lowered his bow and nodded, satisfied with the outcome. Behind him, leaning on a short sword was Raijin, slightly out of breath. "I'm surprised at the skill you possess with a blade."

"Well, I have trained before," Raijin panted out, as he got his second wind. The truth was the blade was his father's, though why he had one Raijin would never know. On clear days, when it wasn't too hot out and there was nothing to do that wasn't already finished, Raijin would take the blade and practice a few sword swings, getting a feel for handling it. Though until just now, the blade had not been used in any kind of actual combat. The wolf had attacked them, thinking them to be easy prey as humans rarely entered the woods. It was only his sense of paranoia that had Raijin keeping his blade out at all times, and it was a good thing. The wolf who had appeared attacked him first, intending on ripping through flesh and instead biting down on cold steel.

"Good! It's nice to see someone with the lust of adventure in them! But we aren't finished yet. Onward," Luna exclaimed, filled with that sense of purpose as he hacked away at foliage and low hanging branches in their way with a small dagger. Luna began to hum, seemingly unfazed by anything around them, while Raijin was constantly on the alert for any more threats. He was starting to perhaps regret his choice of coming with the adventurer when Luna raised his arm up and held him back. "Wait… my expertise hunter instincts are telling me something dangerous is ahead… I'll go first… wait here." Without waiting for a word of protest from his companion, he pushed ahead quietly, drawing his bow and readying an arrow.

"Wait, wait! You can't just leave me here," Raijin said panicking. He held his sword at the ready, listening for any suspicious sounds. A slight rustling sound could be heard nearby, causing him to turn and point his blade in that direction. "Stay back! I have a weapon!" Suddenly, something collided with him from behind, sending him toppling over, his blade falling from his hands. He pulled himself free from a tangle of limbs to see a young woman rubbing her head. She was completely nude, with clear, unblemished skin, her breasts, roughly a CC cup, pressed against his stomach. He looked at her red eyes, full of curiosity before noticing the position they were in. "Sorry," Raijin nearly yelled, covering his eyes up and blushing profusely.

The strange girl tilted her head in confusion, obviously unfazed by the fact that she was nude before him. "Ohh… are you a human?" She leaned back off of him, kneeling down and staring at Raijin her hands on her lap pushing her breasts together. Raijin glanced at her once more, his blush becoming ever stronger as blood began to race it's way southward. It was only then that he noticed the pair of red fox ears and her nine golden tails.

"You… You're… you're a…"

"Kishi-chan!" Bounding out of the forest was another fox-girl, this one with dark fox ears and two white tails. Like her companion she was nude, showing off her slim figure and C cup breasts. She gave a loud gasp at seeing Raijin who looked as though he were about to sport a bloody nose. "Kishi who's this? He's not a Kitsune, is he?"

"Oh, Tsune-chan! No, I don't think he is one… or else his illusion skills are very good…" Kishi leaned forward, causing Raijin to back away slightly. "So, who are you?"

Raijin was half-tempted to run, run far and fast. Legends of how the Kitsune race could take on human forms to deceive and trick people seemed to be true. However, his feet seemed glued to the ground as he stammered, "R-r-r-Raijin… I'm Raijin… and I'm a human…"

Kishi seemed to perk up at this, though Tsune looked worried. "I told you we were getting too close! We need to head back now!"

"Your right… hey, want to come see our home with us," Kishi asked Raijin in a more carefree manner.

"Kishi! We can't bring humans to our village! The Elder would get mad!"

"But that one human comes to our village all the time," Kishi responded. "You know, the one with all the fancy things he has on? I think humans called them clothes…" She reached out and touched Raijin's shirt, pulling on it. "Yup, same thing…"

"This is a really bad idea Kishi…"

"Nonsense! Come on!"

"Hey, wait! Don't I get a say in this!?" But it was apparent that he did not, as the Kitsune called Kishi grabbed his hand and with almost unbelievable force, picked him up and dragged him away. Even the call of 'Kishi-chan!' went unheard of as her friend Tsune followed. Raijin was almost running himself to keep up the force of Kishi's pulling as they made their way through the forest. At one point, still holding onto Kishi as she refused to let go, Raijin shivered as though he passed through a room filled with ice, though he couldn't see what exactly may have caused it. Still, they moved, Raijin almost feeling his legs grow numb from all the running before stopping. "Finally! What-"

"Shhh," Kishi urged as she looked through the trees. There Raijin could see a large wooden gate before him, being guarded by two Kitsune, both carrying spears. "Hmm… We might need to sneak you in…"

"Kishi… no more running…" Tsune said, dejected and tired. Instead of answering Kishi grabbed her friend by the hand and pulled her close. They locked lips, Kishi kissing her fox friend fiercely, letting her tongue rub against the two-tailed Kitsune's lower lip. The action caused her to open her mouth slightly, letting her tongue play with the one probing her mouth, while Kishi ran her hand down the small of Tsune's back and stroked the base of her tails. When they parted both Tsune and Raijin were blushing like mad, though Raijin also had a full on nosebleed and couldn't help but sport a raging hard-on after what he witnessed.

"I'm sorry Tsune… I promise I will make it up to you, ok?" Tsune could only nod dumbly, still red in the face of what that kiss held promise of. "Ok, this might take a little magic but… I think I can make it work. Hold on to one of my tails, ok? Not too hard though." Raijin was still far too spaced out from the kiss to properly pay attention to what she said, though a few hits with her tail seemed to wake him out of his stupor. Still red, he did as instructed, gingerly holding onto the tail before Kishi took off again, with Tsune and Raijin in her wake.

The two Kitsune standing guard were both male though Raijin was thankful they had loincloths to cover themselves. One of them looked over Kishi and Tsune, apparently not noticing Raijin at all, though they did notice the look on Tsune's face. "Having fun again, Kishi" he asked, before smirking. Kishi only gave a smile, trying to look innocent while Tsune became very interested in the ground. "You really should keep to the village, especially if you are going about doing those kind of things." The guard motioned for her to enter, which she did. Raijin looked confused at the two guards, wondering why they didn't notice him.

"Keep holding on… We're almost there," Kishi said quietly as they passed several wooden homes. Many Kitsune could be seen walking about, talking in the human forms, while most of the younger Kitsune took to their animal forms to play around. Raijin looked on in wonder at the small, yet peaceful society that the Kitsune race had set up. Stopping in front of a rather modest looking one story house, Kishi opened the door to it and hurried them all in, closing the door with one of her other tails. "There we go."

"How come no one noticed me? What did you do?"

"Illusion magic," Kishi said causally as though it were nothing. "Where are you going Tsune," she asked as he friend opened the door.

"Oh, just going to get ready," Tsune said with a slight blush as she opened the door and walked out. Smiling to herself outside, she walked towards her own home when she turned around, feeling as though she were being watched. But seeing nothing was there, she continued her trip.

"It appears there was nothing at-," but Luna stopped talking when he noticed that Raijin was no longer waiting for him. "Young adventurer… where did he…" He looked down and saw Raijin's sword on the ground. Reaching down to pick it up he gazed at it curiously before his features darkened. "Clearly… clearly something attacked my companion while I was gone! Perhaps it made the noise to distract me, while disarming him!" Gripping the sword tightly, he pointed it into the forest. "But I shall not fail you! For if you are still alive, then I must amend myself! For I am Luna, adventurer!" With that he charged into the forest…

…heading in the opposite direction that Raijin had been dragged away…

The black clothed figure gazed from his position on a rooftop to see a young two-tailed Kitsune leaving a nearby house. He breathed a sigh of relief, having almost been caught before he had made his way to the target. Not long after breaking through the barrier that separated the forest did he come across the village parameter. Knowing there was no hope of getting through the front gate, he had instead opted to sneak around to the side. No other Kitsune could be seen on patrol, but he knew that there was nothing to fear for now.

Having made sure he was out of sight as he gazed at the large wall that separated him from the village itself, he once more took out a card and placed it on the wall. The card glowed, allowing that small section of the wall to become transparent like glass. Gazing through to ensure the coast was clear and he would not be spotted, he saw what looked to be a small alleyway formed from two houses. He stepped back and let the card do its work, expanding until like the invisible shield before him, there was a large space in the wall for him to step through.

Walking through, the card vanished and once more a solid wall was behind him. Bracing himself against the two buildings, he began to climb to the rooftops from which he could see more of the village and hopefully his target. As he pulled himself up, he turned to see the two-tailed Kitsune leaving a house before hiding himself in time to avoid her from spotting him. He watched her walk away and prepared his own view of the village. Most of the buildings he saw were houses, not very large ones, plainly decorated with various odd things such as wreaths of flowers or very shiny stones. On the doors of each house he could see was a spiral that seemed to split into various tails, many of them showing three or four, a few going as high as six. He understood it to be the number of tails of the Kitsune who lived there, and thought back to some of the rumors of the Kitsune race, one being that the more tails they had, the stronger their powers were.

Shouts of play and laughter could be heard as he watched the various other Kitsune moving about, though thankful that none could see him from where he was. It seemed that only the older Kitsune cared to wear clothing, simple fabrics and robes, though if the show of causal nudity was in any way affecting him, it didn't show. As he looked he saw a much larger building, seemingly to tower over the rest. It was probably important, but nothing could tell him if it was the place he was looking for. Nearby was another large building, though it didn't tower upwards but rather took up much more space then everything else. Feeling a sense of purpose, the man smiled and reached into his pants' pocket.

It would be impossible to make his way to the building via rooftop without having to either make some very long jumps or risk heading down into the streets, both of which would get him caught. Instead, he pulled out some black dice, polished smoothly with white dots to indicate the different sides. Placing his hands together in quick prayer, he took a die and threw it in the direction of the building. The die was small enough that, if anyone on the ground were to look up, it wouldn't be immediately noticeable, though he kept focus on where the die was going to land as it struck a rooftop and continued moving through the air before rolling and settling on the building. Unable to see which number dot the die had landed on, he took his second one and dropped it to the ground, knowing that only pure luck would allow it to work.

The die fell and landed on three.

"Fortune Dice," he said softly, waiting to see what would happen. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw the die grow larger before the top of it opened up, revealing it's insides like an empty box. Jumping inside quickly, he curled himself up into a ball and waited as the dice closed up. From outside, the die began to shrink back down to its regular size. At the same time, the first die, which had also showed a three, began to enlarge and it's top opened up. The black-clad figure jumped out from there, looking across to where he was before. "Looks like my luck is still holding strong…" The die shrunk back to its smaller form as he pulled out another card and placed it on the roof. Like with the wall, the card became like glass, letting him look down into the room below him. The tops of bookshelves could be seen from his viewpoint, as was the fact there was no one there.

Letting the card expand, he fell through the roof, landing on his feet on the ground. "Jackpot," he said calmly looking at the various scrolls that were stacked up inside the shelves. According to his information, only the Elder Kitsune, the leader of this village, was allowed into the Forbidden Library which meant there was little chance of him being seen. Walking pass all the scrolls he headed to a table a short way away. Reaching into his pouch he pulled out a piece of torn paper, on it a strange symbol. Taking a new card, he placed both objects on the table and reached for a quill and ink bottle that was nearby. Looking intently at the symbol, he copied its image onto the card, matching it perfectly. Once he did so, he put the paper away and placed the ink back where it was found before holding up the card.

"Show me," he said before the card floated up and flew away from him. He ran after it, as it darted down the library hallways, as though searching for something. He followed closely, trying not to let it get away from his line of sight. Finally it stopped and hovered in the air before another shelf. The man looked to see a scroll there with the same symbol on it as the card. Its purpose over, the card fell to the floor as he reached for the scroll. Taking it for himself, he placed the object in his pouch and walked away to the nearest wall. As he approached it he reached for his dice and pulled out three more, holding them between his fingers. He smiled to himself in anticipation for what was to come.

"Element Dice."

Not long after Tsune had left, Kishi allowed Raijin a view of her house. It was fairly modest, having a living area, a small fire pit to cook food over and a bedroom. Kishi explained that every Kitsune had homes like this, the simple things in life were all one needed. As she did, Raijin was slowly starting to get used to the fact that Kishi didn't wear clothing even though there was some simple outfits to be found, although some simple movements still caught him staring at her rather appealing form.

Of course, Kishi had her own questions about humans, curious creatures as they were to the Kitsune race. Humans had only been around for the past 400 or so years, yet seemed to advance their society much, much faster than the centuries-old Kitsune race. Raijin tried explaining what he knew, how the humans traded things with each other for other things they wanted, the humans having a King which was like the Elder of the village, and the various things humans did to make a living from framing the land to working metals.

"So humans wear these things all the time huh," Kishi said pulling at his shirt once more. "How weird! We only wear clothing when we feel like it. Oh! I heard humans could control forest animals! Is it true? And they have giant houses that reach up to the sky too!" Raijin could only smile as Kishi's imagination on humans ran wild. Still, she knew nothing about them, and it seemed only natural that her curiosity peaked. Pausing her questions, she turned to tend to the fire pit, which besides for cooking food kept the house comfortably warm. The action caused Raijin only to stare at Kishi. Or rather Kishi's behind.

She was bending down, her tails fanning out behind her as she stroked at the fire with a long stick. Every so often, her tails would move just right so that Raijin could see her silt, slightly damp, almost as though presenting herself to him. He could feel his mouth go dry as Kishi looked back at him thoroughly confused. "Is something the matter?" If it wasn't for the innocent way she said this, Raijin would almost think that she was teasing him on purpose. The raging hard-on from before now was reinvigorated as Raijin shifted himself so as not to draw any attention to it. It seemed too late however.

With surprising force, and a protest of 'Hey!', Kishi was able to force Raijin's legs apart slightly to see the bulge in his pants. "Oh! I'm sorry… I didn't realize…" Though instead of an apology, she ran her hand over the straining erection, rubbing it tenderly as it threatened to tear away the material of his pants. "I did this huh… I guess I should fix it then… it would be rude not to since you’re my guest." Raijin could feel himself getting light-headed, even as the blush in his face began to reach new heights. In any human society this would hardly be appropriate behavior for two complete strangers, but Raijin wasn't in human lands anymore. He wasn't sure when she got that close, but he let out a low groan of satisfaction nonetheless as he felt her tongue run along his clothed member, stimulating it through the material.

Before anything more could be done though, a shout and scream could be heard from outside. Kishi looked up and turned to the door. "That was… Stay here!" She got up and left the house, leaving Raijin by himself. The scream had seemed to be one of pain which had almost completely killed the mood. Willing himself to keep his erection down, Raijin got up and moved closer to the door, listening for any sounds which could tell him what was going on.

"Wonder what happened…"
