Once upon a time...

This is a intro, so it will explian a few things. The next chapter will longer. Please review ^.^

Once upon a time there was strong and wealthy lord. He was blessed with a beautiful wife and lovely daughter. All seemed well till the lord’s wife took ill and soon her youthful beauty was stolen away. Now a good husband would stay by his wife’s side, alas, that for all the wonderful things the lord possessions, compassion and humility weren’t among his cherished items. As his wife’s health declined so did his affection for her, to the point the lord murdered his own wife because he could no longer stand being bonded to an ugly woman. The lord pretended to morn the loss of his beloved wife, however, everyone in the kingdom knew of his wicked deeds, yet none would dare say anything against the man.
The lord wanted a new bride, yet no maidens in the kingdom came close to the beauty his late wife had possessed, until he noticed how beautiful his daughter aged. Indeed, Lydia grew to be an almost mirror image of her mother. Lovely creamy colored skin, long, wavy ebony hair, and crystal blue eyes. “Yes” the lord decided, his own daughter would make a fine bride for himself. However, there was one small problem. His beloved daughter refused to marry her father, for (other than she thought it was twisted and there was no way in hell that Lydia would marry her father) she was in love with another man, a knight. Lydia planned to marry her lover, leave her father, and live happily ever after; yet fate is cruel and few seldom have their happy endings.
The lord would not have his daughter abandon him for some upstart knight, so their on a stormy night, in front of his daughter…the lord murder the knight with a dagger to his back. Once again the lord put his own wicked desires before anyone else, and now two innocents were dead. Twice Lydia’s father had stolen something precious to her. So Lydia did the only thing a young maiden could do, she…ran…
