Your a what?
“Sara it’s him, I think, over by the Headmaster talking to someone. Do you see him?” Sara wildly looked around until she saw him.
“This is starting to get creepy, Ty. He looks our age too.” I nodded not really paying attention as the students began to look for seats.
Mr. Mysterious and his friend walked right over to our table. He smiled at Sara and sat down next to me. “Do you mind us sitting here?”
God that accent! I silently shook my head unable to speak. Sara was about to tell me something when my cell rang. I picked it up looking at Sara in a pleading way.
“Hello,” I said dully wanting to listen to the guy sitting next to me rather than answer the phone.
“Tyler, what in the world, are you doing now? Last you were arguing with mom about some stupid pet. That would mean you’re at school. So, how’s school treating you?”
“Niki, we just got here and you’re asking me how it is? Well, what are you up to then,” Sara stared at me and mouthed “Niki”. I nodded knowing what would come next.
“Let’s see… I went to a friend’s house-” Sara lunged for the phone but I quickly dodged her. “- hot guy and I’ve been dying to call you.”
“That sounds nice and busy. Look, Sara’s going to kill me if I don’t hand her the phone,” I said staring at Sara. She rolled her eyes as I handed the phone over.
“Who is that on the phone,” a voice asked beside me.
“My sister,” I said not knowing why I answered. “She’s been in Paris for a while and hasn’t been able to call me, Mom, or Sara.”
“Oh, well I’m Bahri and this is Vlad. Your school is so beautiful.” I smiled realizing his hair was covering his face. My hand wanted so badly to move it away.
“Our Headmaster designed it himself. I’m Tyler and-“
“I’m Sara,” Sara said clicking off my phone. Waiters walked in carrying trays of food. See, our school is kind of what every kid dreams of: A place that treats you like royalty, not counting the students that is. I immediately grabbed food noticing that Bahri and Vlad barley had anything on their plate.
“Ty, slow down, you act as if you haven’t eaten in a year,” Sara stammered. I stopped eating as a blush crept up my neck.
“You know Mom made me and Niki… you know-.” 'Go on a diet where you eat nothing.'
“Oh yeah,” Sara said looking down at her plate. “Sorry to remind you.” I just shrugged as Bahri’s eyes pierced my back.
Waiters came and picked up our plates once we finished up. Bahri nudged my arm and pointed to a girl that was looking straight at him.
“That’s Bonnie, a girl that can drive me mad in just 3 seconds. She loves it when I get angry and knows that she caused it. I’d be careful around her; she looks like she has her eye on you.” He nodded and started talking to Vlad.
“Student’s it’s time to head off to your dorms. Lists of dorm rooms will be brought to you by the waiters.” As the waiters came Sara started getting nervous. The waiter for our table handed me the list.
“Sara you have Becca, Vlad you have Sam, and Bahri you’re with me,” I said. Bahri smiled as we got up and left. Vlad and Sara went one way while Bahri and I headed our way.
We were almost to the room when Bahri grabbed my arm. I turned around to face him trying to figure out why he stopped me.
“Tyler, can we go somewhere other than the dorm where we can talk?” I nodded leading him to the school “boardwalk”. Once we got there we walked in silence for a while.
“Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a creature,” Bahri asked suddenly. I stopped walking for a second before continuing.
“I’ve thought about it when I was young. The two creatures I mainly thought of were elves and vampires. Elves have an easy life because society likes them. Vampires on the
other hand have been thought to be demons or evil beings.”
“What do you think of them,” Bahri whispered. I looked down for a minute before I looked ahead again.
“They’re just misunderstood. Just because they have longer K-9 teeth and look a little different, people make fun of them.” Bahri stopped in front of a bench and sat down. I followed suite waiting for him to say something.
“I guess I can trust you. Tyler you’ll still be my friend after this, right?” I nodded not quite understanding. “Alright, I’m a vampire. You’re the first one to know other than Vlad.”
“Wow,” I muttered. “You don’t know how long I’ve waited to meet a vampire.” Bahri smiled at me.
The sun had begun to set as I got up to leave, but Bahri grabbed my arm and sat me back down. “What was that for,” I asked surprised.
“I knew I could trust you,” he said quietly brushing his long bangs behind his ears, only to reveal two dark purple eyes.
“Y-you are that guy,” I breathed, “The one in my dreams.” I was shaking, confused and dazed, but a touch on my chest quickly brought me back to reality. Bahri pushed me back into the armrest and gently touched my face. Trusting him from his smile, I wrapped my arms around his strong sexy hips. I looked around to see that we were alone, completely utterly alone. He lent in towards my lips and I did the same soon we were locked into a long deep kiss.
As we separated, I looked into his eyes and gently said, “Bahri, if you don’t mind, I have some questions for you.”
“Yes of course,” he replied drawing himself up. He looked at me shyly and asked, “Tyler, you didn’t mind that kiss, did you?”
“N-no,” I said turning red.
“Well,” he said leaning back on the bench. “What did you want to ask me?”
“Yeah, well… um uh, you see…”
“The dreams,” Bahri asked elegantly arching his eyebrow.
“Yeah the dream… hey, how did you know about them,” I snapped. I immediately quieted when I saw Bahri’s pleading eyes telling me to be silent. I looked over my shoulder and saw Bonnie bounding down to the walk as she dragged Vlad. Close behind them was Sara who tried to detach Vlad from Bahri. Bahri quickly moved off of me causing me to lose his body heat. I let my arms slip away from his hips but Bahri caught my hand and pulled it into his lap.
“Ty,” Sara shouted. Bahri watched as they got closer.
“Sooooo are you Bahri,” Bonnie’s whinny voice asked.
“Yeah, hey,” he said, obviously not liking where this was going. I hide a smile as Bonnie cringed at Bahri’s attitude.
“I met your cutie pie friend,” Bonnie tried, squeezing Vlad. Sara looked dangerously at Bonnie but didn’t say anything.
“Oh my god, I forgot to introduce myself.” Bonnie pulled Bahri up and stood close to him. “I’m Bonnie,” she said dropping her voice so it was quiet and sexy. She really made sure to grind her breast into his chest. I was really pissed off and Bonnie knew it as I jumped up and stormed off to the castle.
“Wait up Ty,” Sara called. I stopped inside and waited for the others to catch up. Vlad and Bahri gave me a wink that told me, they could handle Bonnie, before they headed to their Darkalley Headmaster.
When Sara and I arrived to the entrance of my dorm, she gave me a quick hug. “Good night Ty,” she whispered.
“Yeah, night,” I mumbled. I opened the door to Bahri’s and my room and immediately collapsed on the bed. It had never felt so cozy, but I had to wait for Bahri to talk to him. I needed to ask him about the dreams and what they meant. I waited for what seemed like forever until the clock hit 9:30. So I decided to change into my night wear. Just as I had slipped out of my uniform I heard the door open and shut. I whizzed around to see Bahri. He looked me quickly up and down.
“Your perfect,” he breathed. Embarrassed, I slid on my boxers and climbed into bed. Bahri changed and did the same.
“Tyler,” Bahri asked.
“Yeah what is it,” I asked looking over at Bahri’s bed. He was staring at the ceiling.
“Well, what did you want to ask me?” I propped myself up on my elbow to face Bahri.
“To be honest, how the hell did you get into my dreams?”
“You’re ‘of age’ correct,” he whispered.
“Yeah but how does that explain-“
“You give off a special energy that attracts me to you,” He said bluntly. “It’s a special energy that contains powers. And,” he added dropping his voice. “I’m looking for a mate.”
“M-me,” I stammered. “You like me!”
“Oh shit, did I freak you out?”
“N-no I- I like you too,” I whispered. I turned around so Bahri couldn’t see my blushing face. Just as I turned out the light, Bahri creaked across the floor over to my bed and slipped under the covers.
“So will you,” he asked.
“Will I, what,” I asked distracted by his breath on my neck.
“Will you be my mate,” he asked sheepishly. I turned over to face him. His hair half covered his face and his eyes showed he was waiting for my answer.
“I don’t know yet, b-but I like you.” He smiled and gave me a soft kiss.
“Think about it and tell me by tomorrow at lunch.” With that he glided to his bed and soon I fell into a deep sleep.
