Chapter Two
Enjoy, My dears. Rate and review.
It had been a week since you got off that plane. There was a month to go until you had to leave. You had decided to stay longer. You had just gotten back from driving to all of the places you used to go to. You went to the lake, the clubs you used to go to, your old house, the schools, everywhere you remembered. When you had gotten home, you were incredibly tired. 'I’ll take a shower and then maybe watch a movie' you thought. You were in the middle of the shower when Dominion came into your mind. You smiled when you thought of his face, that handsome face. You remembered that he had given you his number. You got out of the shower and rummaged through your pockets until you found it in your jeans pocket. You decided to call him. The phone rang three times before you heard an answer. "Hello?" you froze for a second, not knowing if you should hang up, or say something. "Hello?" came the voice again. "H-hello. Dominion? Sorry, I had something caught in my throat." You came up with the lame excuse and rolled your eyes at yourself. "Oh! Yes. Mihara. It’s good to hear from you! I was not sure if you were going to call me or not. So, how has your time been in Winnipeg?" he asked. You could hear him walking, and you figured he was outside. "It's been ok. Spent a lot of time remembering things. How about you? What are you up to?" you asked casually, yet still nervous. "Me? Oh, I’ve been ok. Sleep when I’m tired, fee-I mean eats when I’m hungry. You know. Im just taking a walk actually." He explained. You didn't give a second thought to his mess up on words. "Oh. Where are you?" you asked. "Im on Kildare and Day. You remembered the streets well. They were near your old high school, the one you had graduated from a few years back. "Oh! I know where that is." You said. "Really? That’s neat. So what are you doing?" he asked. You could hear cars in the background, and him running. 'Probably crossing the street' you thought. "Im actually just getting ready to go to a club." You lied. You wanted to go somewhere now, providing he would come with you. "What club?" he asked. "Im not sure. I figured I’d drive around and maybe found one that looks interesting. Any suggestions?" you asked, hoping that he would get the idea that you wanted to meet him somewhere. "Ahh . . . what about D.V.? Good music, would fit your slightly Gothic style. They play pretty much every kind of music you can think of." Your voice lightened. "Sure. Where is it?" you asked. "Anywhere you want it to be." He replied. You listened to his accent a little more close that time, but still you could not figure out what it was. "Anywhere huh . . . what is that supposed to mean?" you said, a little suspicious. "I mean that there are plenty of bars called D.V. its sort of . . . an enterprise. Like McDonalds, only not disgustingly fattening." He said. "Oh. Ok well . . . what is the one closest to where you are right now?" suddenly you heard loud music and talking. "Im, there now." He said. He did not have to yell for you to hear him, and you found that odd. Either way, you wanted to go. " Where is that?" you asked, smiling. "On Kildare and Day. I'll see you soon then?" he asked. "Just one more question. What is everyone else wearing there?" you asked. He chuckled "it’s a wide variety of thing’s Mihara. There’s preppy clothing, normal clothes that you see most people wear, gothic clothes, satanic clothes, just wear what you are most comfortable wearing." He said and hung up. you stood there looking into the bathroom mirror, with the phone still to your ear.
You arrived at the D.V. club at 11:00 p.m.. you had decided to wear a green spaghetti strap tank top that made you look like you were in a d cup bra, black tight hip hugger jeans with a small flare at the bottom, and steel toe boots. To top it off, you wore a few heavy chains around your neck, a silver watch, a black fedora, and a trench coat. You were decked out in goth make up that made your eyes look like cat eyes. You put in red contacts, making your eyes look red.
You walked into the club and saw every kind of outfit you could think of. There were even some people wearing vinyl. You avoided anyone who looked threatening, but you didn't forget to glare back at the whores that glared at you. You got your coat checked and looked for Dominion. You didn't see him and decided to get a drink. You went to the bar and ordered a Strawberry Martini, leaning against the counter, you sipped on your drink. You had your back to the crowd so you didn't see someone approach you from behind. He slid his hands slowly around your waist and put his mouth near your ear. "Welcome to D.V." he said. You turned toward him, glaring, until you saw a tall black man. You looked at him and pushed his hands off of you. Then, a pale hand landed on the man’s shoulder and pushed him aside. It was Dominion. You were still glaring at the man as Dominion stepped in front of you, facing the man. you could tell that the black man was intimidated, even if he was bigger then Dominion. Without saying anything, the black man left, looking frightened. Dominion turned to you and smiled. "Sorry about that." He said. "What was that about? Why did he look so scared of you?" you asked, looking over his shoulder at the man, who was now with a group of people, consisting mostly of women. "Let’s just say I’m well known here. They know what im like. And, they know that if ever necessary, I can and will kill a man." You looked up at him at the mention of murder and you saw that he was not serious. "You bastard don't scare me like that." You said, pushing him lightly on the shoulder. He smiled and showed you why the black guy was so scared. He was wearing many rings, some of them sharp. Your eyes opened wide and he started to take them off. "Just in case. I always have my rings with me. In my pocket." you nodded and took a sip of your drink. Dominion moved closer to you and reached around you. He was inches from your face. Then he started moving away and he had a glass of Pepsi in his hand. "Not a drinker?" you asked. "Not very often. Want to go sit down?" he asked.
