Chapter 2: Exploring & classes start tommorow!

The next morning I woke up from the light coming through the window right into my face. I rubbed my eyes and looked around, forgetting where i was. 'Oh ya' I thought. I got out of bed and walked over to the door and tried to open it. Still locked. I sighed and sat back down on the bed. About 10 minutes later, the door opened and in came the head vamp with a tray of food.

"How was your sleep? he asked handing me the tray. I took it and looked at it.

"Okay i guess" i answered taking a bite of bread.

"Okay good" he said. "Oh and by the way, your sister wants to see you" he said as Emily came running into the room and hugging me. I felt better to see her so happy. Well happier than i have seen her since my parents died. I hugged her tight.

"Sorry about last night, bringing you kids here so sudden" he said looking at the both of us. "The werewolves were looking for you kids, and we had to get you before they did" he added. I just continued hugging Emily and eating.

"We tried doing the best we could to save your parents, but it was too late, but we did have time to save you kids" he said "Thats why you seen me standing over your sister the night your parents were killed, i was protecting her" he added.

"Are there other kids here?" Emily asked.

"Yes, they are just down the hall" answered the vamp as he got up and left the room.

"hurry up and eat so we can go play with the other kids!" Emily said to me.

"Okay, im done, lets go" i said getting up off the bed and walking towards the door. We both left the room and walked down the hallway. We came to a playroom where there was alot of other kids there. We went inside and Emily went to play with the other kids, and i just sat down on a chair.

"Hello, are you new here?" asked a girl sitting down beside me. She was about my age, with blue eyes and blonde hair. She was really pretty.

"Yes, i just came last night" I answered staring at her.

"Oh ok, i have been here for almost a year now" she answered watching the younger kids play.

"what is this place anyway? why do they keep us here?" i asked her confused.

"Well when our parents die, they bring us here, did your parents die too?" she asked.

"Yeah.. they were killed about 3 monthes ago" i answered. "by werewolves" i added.

"Oh thats terrible, im so sorry" She said looking at him.

"Yeah it is, especially for Emily,shes only 7" i said "how did yours die?" i asked

"They were murdered also, but no one knows what by, now i think it was those werewolves" she answered.

"yeah probably" i replyed.

"I think tommorow is when they start the school here" said the girl

"They have a school here?" i asked

"yup, they do, starts tommorow" she said "oh well i have to go now, i will talk to you later" she said as she got up and left the room.

About 10 minutes later i got up and left the room. I decided to explore the castle. I walked down the hallway and then down another one. I got to a set of stairs going down. I went down them and ended up in the basement of the castle. It was creapy down there. I kept walking and finally turned a corner. I was in some sort of dungeon. I kept walking and seen people in cells, and patrolling vamps walking around. I knew they were werewolves, but just in human form since it was the daytime.

"Hey your not supposed to be down here!" yelled one of the vamps. "Get back upstairs!" he added

"I..I.. im sorry.. I..I didn't know" i said backing up towards the way i came. I finally turned around and ran back down the hallways and finally back up the stairs. I walked down some more hallways and got lost. 'uh oh' i thought as i walked into a wall. 'i could of swarn i came from that way!' I thought. I started running frantically, and finally ran into someone.

"Hey watch where your going!" He yelled.

"I..Im sorry.. I'm lost" i answered.

"Well go right, then left, then down the big hallway, then left at the end of it and your back to the playroom" he said as he walked away

"Thanks!" i yelled after him.

I did what he said and finally ended up back to the playroom. I saw Emily sitting on the chair i had been. I sat beside her and asked her what was wrong. She hugged me.

"Dont ever leave me again!" she said to me, with watery eyes.

"Im sorry, i was bored so i went to explore" i said as the vamps were coming to the room to take us all to the lunch hall. We walked down the same hallways i went when i was exploring. We were walking for about 3 minutes and finally came to the door. We walked in and it was full of kids, all from ages 3 all 17. I spotted the girl i was talking to earlier and sat down at her table.

"So what is your name?" she asked me

"Cornelius" i answered. "Whats yours?" i asked.

"My name is Jamie" She answered. Just after that our conversation was cut short.

"Welcome" said the main vamp. "As some of you know, we are starting school tommorow morning, at 9 am sharp!, your schedules are at the front, grab them after lunch, before you go back to your rooms." he added.

After we all ate, and me and Jamie had a nice long conversation, we got up and went to the front and grabbed our schedules.

"What classes do you got?" Jamie asked me.

"Um.. i have defence and history of werewolves and vampires in the morning, and then gym and healing in the afternoon" i answered. "What about you?" i asked.

"I have defence, history and healing the same as you, And instead of gym us girls have some sort of cooking class.

We both laughed. I looked down at Emily and she was looking at hers.

"Cornelius what does mine say!" she demanded.

"It says you will be coloring and stuff like that all day" i replyed

"yayy i love coloring!" she said happily.

"Well im going to my room now, its getting late, and we got classes in the morning" said Jamie

"Yeah, see you tommorow" i said taking Emilys hand and walking her to her room.

"Love you Cornelius!" she said hugging me.

I finally got back to my room and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
