On to Chapter two.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shuu gasped loudly and ran over to his mother. He grabbed her arm and tried to stop her from hitting Kyou again. She pulled her arm free and pushed him out of the way.
“Oka-san, what are you doing?”
“This…thing needs to be punished,” she answered back, delivering another blow to Kyou’s face.
“What did he do?” Shuu asked desperately, trying to push her away. “Oka-san!” he yelled when she didn’t respond.
“The little…kusotare…is thinking things he shouldn’t.”
Shuu pushed his body between the two of them. “That gives you no right to hit your own son!”
Staring down at her other son, she answered, “That is no son of mine. And it gives me all the right.” She glanced at the book she had dropped on the floor. “You wanna understand what the hell is going through his head, read this thing.” She picked up the book and tossed it to Shuu.
Ryou caught it first. “I don’t care what the hell you do to me, but I don’t want you to tell him about this. I’ll do anything you say, just don’t tell him. Onegai.”
“Protect your image in his head of you before you leave his life? Ever the brave older brother, ne? Fine, I won’t tell him until after you leave.”
Shuu was glancing worriedly from one to the other as they talked. At this point, however, he stepped between the two. “I don’t understand what’s going on. What is so bad that he did?”
Kyou met his eyes, then quickly looked down, a blush creeping into his face. “I did something that I shouldn’t have done.”
Their mother clapped her hands excitedly. “Shuu, bebii, talk listen to him. Listen to that precious brother of yours and hear what he has to say. Don’t talk to him, don’t look at him, and sure as hell, don’t touch him.” She glared at Kyou. “I will get you out of my house and away from my son. Your aunt out in no-where land might take you in. Shuu, don’t touch him.” Just for effect, she walked back to the elder and punched him once more. Kyou didn’t respond. She turned and left the door open, glaring at him the whole way.
“Aniki,” Shuu said quietly, turning to find his brother on his bed, borrowing in the corner. He sat on the edge of the bed, tense. “Aniki, daijoubu?”
When he received no response, he tried to turn him over, but as soon as he touched him, Kyou shuddered and he retreated. “Aniki, what happened? Please, you’re scaring me.”
Again, no response. Sighing heavily, Shuu gave up and, ignoring the random twitches, started rubbing Kyou’s back gently.
“THAT THING IS NOT STAYING HERE!” came the yell from downstairs.
Curious, Shuu tried again to get Kyou to tell him what was going on and when that didn’t work, tried to pry the green book from his brother’s hands. Finally giving up, he reached over and picked up the phone line.
“So you want me to take him in?” said their aunt.
“God, he’s not staying here and corrupting Shuu.”
“Demo, Nee-san, I don’t quite get what you’re trying to tell me.”
“My SON is harbouring feelings for my other SON! God damnit, he wants him, wants to FUCK him!”
Shuu carefully replaced the receiver on the hook. Glancing over to the silently sobbing boy behind him, he whispered, “Aniki.”
