Beauty and the Beast
Chapter 2

Seana dreamed. She was back home,
it was yesterday and she was going on a field trip for her school. She put on
her school uniform, a white shirt and blue green skirt, slipped on her socks
and shoes then headed out the door. Her school field trip took her to the
science building where a famous scientist was going to show off his latest
invention a dimension piercer. Seana wasn’t very impressed unlike her fellow
school girls. She didn’t believe it was possible to pierce let alone there was
any other dimensions. Dr Alexina Stine was an attractive young dark hair woman
with dark eyes. Her shirt was smartly pressed as her slacks. She was also the
inventor of the dimensional piercer, which made all the school girls impressed,
all except Seana. Alexina droned about how most people would never expect a
young beauty like herself to have such brain power. Seana ignored her until she
began to talk about her invention.
“I believe that dimensions hum at a
certain frequency.” Alexina said and then motioned to her lazer
looking device. “With this lazer I can pierce
dimensions and open gates to them by using the counter frequency to the
dimensions frequency.”
Seana snorted as the doctor turned
the machine on. Immediately everyone knew something was wrong. The
dimensions were pierced but the portal to the other world was sucking
everything in like a black hole. Alexina was sucked in first
burst in and began to unplug the lazer, praying aloud
it would shut the gate. Then Seana awoke to Alexina shaking her.
“Come on. We need to find a town
and get some indication of our surroundings” she said and in a daze the doctor
dragged the young lady through some woods and into a medieval looking town.
Seana looked around at everyone and
found something strange. The men were normal humanoids but were dressed in
various combinations of the ages. One man wore a loin cloth with a denim
jacket. Another wore bell bottom tights and a leather jacket. Something else
was strange all the women who were young were scarred and those who weren’t
were meekly walking around town.
“This is so fascinating” Alexina
exclaimed before horsemen thundered up and surrounded them.
“Oh yeah, fascinating” Seana
muttered as two riders in the pack got down from their horses and circled the
young women as if examining prime cattle.
“We have our three!” one announced
and the horsemen cheered as the second rider threw some yellow dust in Alexina
and Sean’s eyes. Immediately they were blinded and as the two felt themselves
hauled up along side the horsemen, the sleeping powder took effect. Seana came
to aware she was chained, bare foot and not alone in the stinking dungeon.
“Alexina? Doctor?” she whispered
turning to the woman beside her. She sniffed apparently crying.
Seana leaned back and looked at the
strange blond girl at the beginning of the line.
“Hey, what’s your name” Seana
hissed.
The blond leaned back and looked at
her, “Peachie”.
“I’m Seana and she’s Alexina. Do
you know what we’re doing here?” she asked.
Peachie
didn’t seem surprised, Seana didn’t know. “We’ve been chosen to be the Lord’s
entertainment.”
Seana muttered an oath that would
have made her school mates blush, “Entertainment in what way? Sex?”
Peachie
sighed “That and a bit more. Lord Jared loves fear, and pain and blood.” The
girl smiled grimly, “Especially blood.” She went on to explain further, “I had
a sister once who was a maid here. Lord Jared selected her as entertainment.
When she returned home, her face had been cut off, her hair burned off and
every bit of her skin had been whipped. She died days later.” Seana jerked on
her bonds, and Peachie gasped. “Don’t do that! If you
get a bruised, m’lord will kill us all.”
“If I can get loose, a bruise won’t
matter” Seana growled jerking the chains.
Suddenly the door opened and Lord
Jared stepped in, from there Seana’s dream turned into a nightmare. She relived
first Peachie’s and then Alexina’s
death. Finally Seana relived her own torcher.
