The Meeting

Chapter 1
The Meeting

“Where do you get off snatching us away from our homes?” a male’s voice growled in anger. Setsuna let it barely faze her, she had expected this.
“Why are we here Setsuna?” another voice popped up, bubbly and bright. The other person, another boy, just stood against the wall of the Time Gate, waiting for answers.
“I’ll explain everything in a moment. Our last person is coming soon,” Setsuna smiled at her adopted daughter. The girl nodded just as the Time Gate opened. A figure with a petite build fell through it and onto the floor.
“Damn it,” the female cussed as she wiped the dirt from her clothing.
“Oh, hell,” she sighed when she saw everyone. “Okay, either I’m going crazy or Setsuna Maori, Minako Aino, Yusuke Urameshi, and Heero Yuy are standing in front of me.”
Setsuna laughed softly at the girl’s dazed expression and held out her hand.
“You’re not crazy Lilly Maxwell. They really are in front of you.”
Lilly shook her head and ran a hand through her waist length ebony hair. She pulled it slightly out from it’s braid and she cursed again.
“Man, she cusses more then Kuwabara,” Yusuke commented, and his only response was a fierce glare from emerald eyes.
“Well, he has a reason to when near you. Anyone would,” she muttered. Mina laughed slightly, but Heero was still stone faced. Lilly turned to him and grinned.
“Now I know why you’re called the Perfect Soldier. You never talk.” She received a ‘Hnn’ in return. When she turned towards Mina, a smile was on her face.
“Now you are a sight for sore eyes. A girl who actually has a personality for once. I think we’re going to be friends. Man, I can’t believe I’m talking to anime characters!” Lilly laughed out loud before spinning around in a circle.
Mina looked at her, eyes glazed. Something clicked inside her head and she turned to face her mentor with confusion.
“In Lilly’s world, all of us are anime characters,” the woman explained lightly, getting looks from two of them and a stony glare from the other. Setsuna shrugged her slim shoulders and turned towards the girl again, who was staring at Yusuke as if he had a second head.
“So, what are your special talents Lilly?” she asked, and received the same look.
“Um, special talents? If you mean fighting, I don’t have any,” she said lightly and turned towards the gate, tracing the intricate embroidery on the gold. She started to hum a song that sounded like a lullaby before she started to sing it softly.
“I don’t know what words I can say. The wind has a way to talk to me…”
Setsuna stood surprised as the girl’s angelic voice filled the chamber. All movement stopped as all eyes turned to her. She stopped suddenly and looked at some symbols that lined an edge of the door.
“Look into your heart and you will know the way to see dimensional flow. Hmm, strange words, huh, Setsuna?” she asked as she turned to face the older woman. A puzzled look came to her face when she saw everyone’s eyes on her.
“Um, what did I do?” Everyone fell over anime style, and Lilly held a hand to her mouth, giggling.
“I love it when you people do that!” She laughed. And everyone fell over again. Lilly laughed and clapped her hands like a small child. She danced around as the people started to get up, and a foot reached out and tripped her.
“Damn it to hell!” she cussed fluidly before glaring at the person. Yusuke shrugged and started to turn away, but was tackled from behind. When he finally turned over, Lilly was straddling his stomach.
“You are going to pay for that Urameshi,” she growled and proceeded to slap him within an inch of his life. Mina gasped and tried to wrench Lilly away from him, but she was thrown back. Finally Heero calmly strolled over and put his arms around her waist, tossing her against an invisible wall. A solid ‘Oomph’ filled the chamber before the figure jumped Heero’s back, pulling at his chocolate brown hair.
“You jerk! How dare you!” she shrieked. Heero stood still before he grabbed her arm and tossed her over his shoulder, letting her take a chunk of hair with her. She giggled and tossed the locks up in the air. Heero shot her his patented death glare, but she brushed it off and turned towards Mina, who was helping Yusuke collect himself. A bruise was forming over his left eye and his mouth was bleeding.
“Well, you lied Lilly,” Setsuna stated as she watched the scene. Lilly turned towards her, perplexed.
“What do you mean Pluto?” she asked. Setsuna smiled and waved towards Yusuke and Heero, who was still glaring.
“You do have a knack for fighting.”
Setsuna was perplexed at the girl’s reaction to that comment. Lilly clenched her fists and bent her head in what seemed like shame. Her now flowing free ebony hair hid her face, but Setsuna could almost see tears in the girl’s jade eyes.
“I don’t have a knack. I’m not good enough, I never was,” she whispered and turned away from everyone. She walked closer to the Time Gate and trailed her fingers against another engraving.
“I’m not good at anything Setsuna Meioh. I can’t control my temper; I can’t walk a mile without bumping into someone who hates me. And I can’t fight, not now, not ever. Don’t ask me to Setsuna! I won’t fight!” Lilly screamed, turning on Setsuna. Her green eyes flashed with fire and she pushed her hair from her face.
Everyone was shocked by her reaction, all except Heero. He seemed to be expecting it and walked up to her.
“You hurt someone badly when you fought, didn’t you?” he asked softly. Lilly looked at him and shrugged her shoulders, but she was troubled.
“One of my friends died in a fight.”
Heero nodded and turned to walk away. Lilly glared after him and shook her head.
“Jerk,” she muttered. Mina placed a calm hand on her shoulder but Lilly shook it off and glared at her. Mina backed away and went to stand next to Setsuna.
Setsuna stared at Lilly for a moment, watching her as the young girl went to the time gate again. The older woman finally cleared her throat and announced:
“Alright, I suppose this is the best time to tell you why all of you are here.”
She spread her hand and furniture appeared. Everyone, after getting over their surprise, sat down. Yusuke took the loveseat, along with Mina. Heero stayed leaning against the wall, his arms crossed across his chest. Lilly took the armchair, her legs draping themselves over the armrest. She took a bored look on her face, and crossed her arms.
“Alright now, where to start? A long time ago, in the Middle Ages of Lilly’s world, there was a group of warriors called The Warriors of Lore…” she began, but Lilly cut in, her bored tone beginning where she left off.
“They traveled the lands, fighting for the ones who couldn’t. There were four of them, each having their own names. One was called the Warrior of the Heart. It was a woman who focused on the feelings of the people. But when she was in battle, she killed without question if it was needed. She was awesome with her whip; no one could compete against her.”
“The next was the Warrior of the Fight. He was a cold man, with no emotions. He lived for the battle, and out of it he was as silent as death. That’s about all I can say about him.”
“The next was the Warrior of the Spirit. He was short tempered and cocky, and thought he could never lose. But when it came to his friends, he was always there.”
Lilly paused a moment. Everyone was looking at her strangely, so she decided to finish.
“The last was the leader of the group. She was very kind and gentle. She was loyal to her friends and never hurt innocents. She cared for everyone and everything, except when it came to battles. Then she became an ultimate fighting machine, shutting herself apart from the hurts. She was called the Warrior of the Light.”
“But after a while, heroes weren’t being needed anymore. One true king was uniting the lands, and so the Warriors of Lore left. No one knows where, but their tales of war were passed on through time.”
“You seem to know a lot about this Lilly.”
“I listened in history class,” the young girl replied snidely.
Setsuna sighed, and hand to her forehead. With a flick of her Time Scepter, the teen’s rose and a shimmering light enveloped them.
When the light receded and there stood four armored warriors, each in their own colors.

~~~~~~~~Think of Ronin Warrior Armor at this time~~~~~~
Mina stood proudly in golden armor that seemed to shimmer. A large, gold spiked whip hung at her waist, and she released it with a snap that cracked the ground at her feet.
“Awesome!” the bubbly girl cried out.
Next came Yusuke. Flashing light blue armor that looked like it had it’s own spirit stretched wide across broad muscles. At his hands were spikes in the knuckles, used for hand-to-hand fighting. On his waist two short daggers were strapped for easy access.
“Well, that works,” he commented as he punched at the air.
Heero was enveloped in a forest green light. When it faded green armor that shone like fairy light graced his lithe figure. A buster sword was strapped securely to his back, and two katanas rested on his hips. He crossed his arms, a bored look on his face.
“Hnn.”
Finally, it was Lilly’s turn. A white light hit her head on and lifted her into the air. Her arms were spread wide, her hair creating a dark cloud above her. But something strange happened. Her long locks burst into flames that didn’t burn, and turned the silky strands silver. Her eyes widened as bursting breaths consumed her.
“Use your heart, it is the key to the holy door. Let the shimmering light bathe your souls, O righteous Warriors of Lore,” she chanted before closing her changing eyes that flickered with the same fire.
The white light surrounded her body, blinding the others. When it subsided, everyone looked on in awe, well, all except Heero who was still emotionless.
Lilly was dressed in white armor with a picture of a blood red phoenix on the front. She had no visible weapons on her person. Her now silver hair flowed to her knees and was held back in two long braids. A red headband was on her forehead with the symbol of life in white. She opened her eyes, which were now a pulsing blue.
“I am the Light, giver and taker of life. We are now born again as the Warriors of Lore. We are sworn to protect the innocent and fight the battles that cannot be won by the ordinary beings of all worlds. We will succeed in all that we do, or die trying,” she whispered, as if in a trance. Yusuke took a step foreword and knelt on one knee, a fist over his heart.
“I am the Warrior of the Spirit. I will serve with a fighting spirit to protect those who need it.”
Mina knelt down next in the same position.
“I am the Warrior of the Heart. I will serve with a kind and giving heart to protect those who need it.”
Heero did the same, his voice monotone as he spoke.
“I am the Warrior of the Fight. I will serve with a fighter’s conscience, never wavering in the struggles to protect those who need it.”
Lilly let her arms fall to her sides as she floated back down to the ground. She knelt on one knee like the others and her fist clenched on the phoenix.
“I am the Warrior of the Light. I will serve with the holy Phoenix’s light to bring swift death to evil and protect those who need it.”
She placed her other hand in the middle of the circle that the four had made, palm down.
“With these words we pledge our lives to protect the innocents of any world we may come to. I, Lilly Maxwell, pledge my life to this.”
Heero placed his hand on hers. He closed his eyes and said:
“I, Heero Yuy, pledge my life to this.”
Mina swiftly follow suit.
“I, Minako Aino, pledge my life to this.”
Yusuke was the last one, and he did it without hesitation.
“I, Yusuke Urameshi, pledge my life to this.”
Setsuna towered over them as she tapped the hands with her Garnet rod.
“I, Sailor Pluto, Guardian of the Gates of Time and all Dimensions, pledge my life to assist these four warriors in all that they do. The Warriors of Lore are now born again. Rise and take your stand.”
With that, the four teens appeared back in their normal clothing and four stones fell into their open palms, each in their own respected colors. Not a sound could be heard until Lilly burst out:
“Holy shit! What happened to my hair? It’s silver! And my eyes, they’re blue! Someone’s going to pay for this!”
The gods above laughed at her comment, and the old Warriors of Lore watched their predecessors with delight. One in particular was watching the new leader with a smile.
“I knew you could do it my daughter,” she grinned, her silver hair glinting as the holy light reached it.
