Locked up memories and first kisses
All of the characters in this story have Japanese first-names, and non-Japanese last-names…I like it that way. I was planning on introducing the new character in this chapter, but decided it would be best to add him in the third one. Enjoy!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Kia Latoure sat in the back of the classroom where she would normally sit. Hideki and her had 3 classes together during the day, and not once had he said anything to her. Not even so much as a hello…
It was the last period of the day and Kia decided not to mention anything about the previous night to her friends. They wouldn’t believe me anyway, she thought.
Kia watched as Hideki walked out of the classroom towards a group of friends waiting for him. Her stomach dropped when she saw him put his arm around one of the girls in her History class. Momo Fantana. Pretty little thing; Tall, 5’7 to be exact, big blue eyes, Tan skin (It was an artificial tan, mind you) and perfect blonde locks. What guy wouldn’t want to be with her? She’s practically perfect. Except she was always really mean to Kia, and so called “Lower class students”.
Kia walked past a crowd of 10th graders and towards the buses. Unfortunately for her, Momo and a group of her friends had already beat her to the bus and were shouting for the bus driver to quickly get a move on. I hate it when they do that! Kia furiously told herself. Ever since high school began, Momo and her friends would make it so Kia would miss the bus everyday. I can’t believe the girl I hate is seeing the boy I could very well be inlove with…She couldn’t believe it. Did I just say I loved him?? She panicked. No, I don’t love him! That’s obsured…Truth be told, she didn’t know what she thought about Hideki anymore. He’s still the moody, self-centered, popular boy she knew in grade school…He was only being nice to me…No boys are ever nice to me…
Kias’ train of thought was broken by a voice calling her name. She looked around and found Hideki beckoning her with his hand, the crowd that was once surrounding him was now gone. Kia walked towards him without even thinking- She felt like some poor dog on a leash.
“Need a ride?” He asked her, holding out the extra helmet once again. Kia stared at him, a cold look in her eyes that was rarely ever there. “What’s that look for?” He asked warily. Before she could stop herself, Kia found herself yelling at him;
“So you can finally talk to me, huh??! Now that your little posse isn’t around! Are you embarrassed to be seen with me while they’re around!?”
Hideki stared at her wide-eyed. Not really knowing how to react. “Well. I-I...” he stammered.
“Don’t play dumb with me! Hideki, we haven’t spoken since the 8th grade! And now we’re in our last year of high school and suddenly last night you were all interested in talking to me! And today- NOTHING! Not even a Hello!” She spat at him.
Hideki swallowed hard. Finally being able to find his voice. “It’s not like you made a very good attempt talking to me!” He yelled defensively. Kia stared at him, realizing defeat. Well it’s a lot harder for me to talk to you, then for you to talk to me…Her thought was interrupted when she noticed Hideki was still speaking. “And we’ve talked before! Last night wasn’t the only time in 6 years! In fact, we did a Civics project together…Remember?’’ She did remember…She didn’t want to, though. The thought of that afternoon still made her face red. She had tried locking up that memory and throwing away the key. Yet here she was, remember every detail.
May 13th, 2 years ago….
Kia groaned when she learned that her end of the year project partner was going to be Hideki. I don’t want him at my house. Kia thought. What if he tries to...Do...Something? No, not with her at least. Hideki walked towards Kias’ desk and rested his hands on either side.
“We’ll get the project done fast. I still have mine from last year..” He told her and began walking back to his own seat. That’s right! Kia thought. I forget he was in the 11th grade. Pretty sad having to re-do this class, she thought.
It was now 6:15. He should be here soon. Kia grumbled under her breath. Oh, he isn’t that bad. Actually, Kia had always had a small crush on Hideki. She never thought of him as dating-material…but something about him made her skin heat. She started visualizing him in her mind; Strong arms holding her, pressing her into his toned body. A small moan escaped Kias’ lips. Nervously she reached down to undo her jeans and slipped her hand under her panties. Why am I so wet? She thought…Does he turn me on that much? Kia was to lost in her thoughts to hear the car pull up in the driveway. You see, at that time Hideki didn’t have his motorcycle. He walked up the drive way and noticed that the door behind the screen one was open. Maybe she’s letting me let myself in? He wondered, grabbing for the door and opening it. He removed his boots and walked down the hall. He looked around the corned into Kias’ room and there she was; sprawled out on her bed with one hand down her panties.
“Ahem…” Hideki cleared his throat, getting her attention. She stared at the ceiling. She didn’t even dare to look at him. Finally, in a very high tone, she told him to get out. Hideki laughed and closed the door. It’s not like I was doing anything…She told herself. Kia had always been a good girl, she didn’t do things like pleasure herself…But every once in a while she would get curious.
She opened the door and Hideki was standing against the wall looking smug.
“You finished fast.” He laughed. Oh shut up! Kia thought angrily. You’d probably be off assaulting yourself right now if it weren’t for this project! Just when thing’s started to get normal, Hideki told her that it was a very normal thing for a girl her age to be doing that. Kia told Hideki to leave at around 7:45. A lot sooner then she would have liked. He told her that he wouldn’t tell anyone about what happened. She didn’t know why…but she believed him.
The present day….
Kia stopped staring down at her feet. I remember that day all too well…She commented to herself. She looked up at Hideki and noticed that he was looking away, hiding the redness of his face. Was he remembering that day too?
“Right…So…Um, need a ride?” He asked, breaking the awkward silence between them. Kia need not answer, she just grabbed the helmet and they were off like before.
When the bike finally stopped, Kia noticed that they weren’t at her house. Only they were at a plaza that was a few blocks away from it.
“Why are we-“ She stopped in mid-sentence She felt like throwing up. She found a curb to sit on and continued talking. “Why are we at the plaza?” She asked.
“To get ice-crème. It makes your stomach feel better. Plus, I thought I’d walk you home from here so that your parents don’t see you pulling up with some guy on a motor bike.” He replied, laughing quietly. Kia never liked talking about her parents…not many people knew about them. I guess that time in the 10th grade he thought they were just out or something…Kia never told anyone that she had been living alone for the past 4 years.
After Kia and Hideki had ordered their Ice-crème he began walking her home. Not before he secured his bike though, this took a good 15 minutes. He must really love that thing.
“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to riding a motorcycle” Kia spoke up.
“You’ll get used to it pretty soon.” He told her.
What could that mean? She thought. Does he want me to continue riding with him after school? I hope so. The thought brought a big goofy grin to her face. Luckily Hideki hadn’t seen it, or else he would have questioned her about why she was smiling so much. The walk to Kias’ house was silent. Although it hadn’t been a bad silence, more like one that stated they were comfortable enough to not have to force a conversation.
At last they were at her house. Kia bid him a farewell and turn on her heals. Before she could get very far, Hideki had grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him. Before when he had grabbed her hand, she smacked him away, this time she had no desire to do so. Hideki stared deep into her eyes; the feeling was as if he were piercing her soul. He leaned down and brushed his lips against hers in a small chaste kiss. A very innocent one, but still a kiss at that. This is too much! Kias mind alerted her. She pushed away from him and stumbled inside, closing the door and leaning against it.
Hideki let out a sigh. Maybe I came on too strong? He turned away and headed back down the street. I’m not done with you yet, kitten. He thought, turning his pace picked up into a light jog.
Kia slouched against her door before letting herself collapse onto the floor. I think I’m getting myself into trouble…She told herself. She brought her fingers to her lips and remembered the details of her first kiss…

Sooo? What did you think? How was that for chapter 2? I was originally going to talk about Kias’ parents in this chapter, and a few other details…But I got really into it and decided to leave all of that for the 3d or maybe 4th chapter. In the next chapter; Something Hideki thought he left in his past comes back to haunt him! r/r please!
